I just went, and supposedly the only ones they got were Marth and Dark Pit, but the lady knew nothing about what she was doing. "Oh, no, we don't have any amiibos in the back" when I could clearly see a few zero suit Samus back there. The other lady wasn't helpful either, because "Meta Knight? That's the snowman from Frozen, right?"


Afterwards I went to TRU, where they had pegs of Little Mac, Captain Falcon, and Fox.

The restocks were real. I happened to show up as they were carting them out. Way too many Marth and Dark Pits plus Fox, Little Mac, Shulk, Lucario, Zero Suit Samus, and Greninja.



But still no Yarn Yoshis...

EDIT: I went back this morning on a whim and, paradoxically, there were more amiibos than when I left last night, including some Charizards and Ganondorfs (snagged a Ganondorf to join FABULOUS FALCON). If any of you live in upstate NY or New England I'd encourage you to try checking today if you're interested. >.>

got lucky today and found fox, lucario, marth, and greninja

i found greninja at best buy which confuses me because i thought it was toys r us exclusive? correct me if i'm wrong, or if best buy was doing someting. haven't really paid attention to that sort of thing. they had a bunch of shulk figures, too.

first time i ever saw any of them in the wild.

^It seems old exclusives aren't really exclusive anymore.

Shulk is supposed to be GameStop exclusive but he's at TRU now.

Oh, sorry, I bought it off eBay for a reasonable price (less than retail.). I guess the way I worded it when talking about WFT made it sound like I found it there. I'll fix that.

Even though he got that one from ebay, strange things happen. I've seen a European packaged Skylander in a US store. People can buy online, then return to a store or just that some shipments originally meant for one region end up needing to be redirected to another.

Got the Chibi Robo amiibo bundle! The game is excellent and th a amiibo looks really nice. I love its functionality too.

UGHHHHHHHH!!I hate Best Buy

Got Captain Falcon the other day at a Toysrus.

And yeah Best Buy remains the worst with exclusives. When they got Dark Pit despite being told to only sell one per customer my nearest BB still allowed people to buy 2-3 and the line got cut off. I'll probably look towards Nintendo World for Falco instead.

In fairness, at least over here, Toysrus is conversely the best with exclusives. I've never once had an issue picking up any amiibo from there let alone Lucario or Greninja. I was also able to easily get Pac-Man, Lucina, and Robin there too. And Bowser Jr would've been easy picking if I cared about him.

Agreed. Last time I went in there they had a TON of Greninja and Lucario, along with Captain Falcon, Fox, and Little Mac.

Last I checked, the pre-orders still seem to be up on Best Buy. So you may still be able to snag one? <.< >.>

Best Buy just had a huge restock of Marth last week. I was able to walk right in, actually browse for one with a good face and unbent word and pay only retail price.

Had to import the other 3, but still didn't pay much more than $10 over retail. Got lucky and got Ike for $16 off yes-asia, found Robin on Amazon before he got high for $20, then Lucina was ebay for $25. All free shipping. (albeit Ike because Yes-asia messed up and gave it to me mostly as an apology)

You may pay a little more than retail, but if you look around and follow this topic, you should be able to find them at a reasonable price after shipping.

My stores still have a pretty damn good selection. Guess there's no scalpers in my area...

No but they are the only Amiibos that work with Codename S.T.E.A.M.
