"Nevermind, Derrick, I can make something quick" Kihei said before making a parasol out of ice "Here"

"True, but we can do it" Makil said

ooc: Uhh, not to rain on everyone's parade (see what I did there. >.>) But, last time I checked, sunlight goes through ice cause ice is mostly transparent. Sorry, but a parasol of ice won't protect our vampire from the sun.

Aretis lowered the platform to the ground. "Try stepping onto it, Greyscale." He motioned for her to step on the rock. Aretis was trying to keep it as steady as he could, but even he could feel the constant levitation draining his energy. Okay, at this rate I think I can last about 6 hours right now. I'm guessing moving and flying with it will be a lot harder. Hmm....an hour at most then. That's why this is only half a solution. But I guess an energy potion is worth the experiment.

"Anyone of wind or earth energy?" Kumara asked.

Derrick looked at the gift Kihei had made for him, "Uh, sorry, neither do I want to carry it, nor can I carry it. Not to mention, a regular umbrella couldn't even protect me. It's very kind of you though. Like I said, I can take the trees, the shade from the denser portions, which I know well enough, will suffice, friend." He had a light grin with a slight tilt in his head.

George had made his way into the kitchen to grab what he could, or what he had, rather. It was not enough for three, let alone one, to go on, "I'm sorry to inform you, but we were never prepared for guests, let alone a trip or journey beyond this city. I'm afraid you'll have to acquire your own supplies from the town market," he placed what he had brought into his satchel, arranging it so that the books where protected by a thin malleable material.

"Ok buddy" Kihei said

"No problem Derrick, I'll be prepared" Makil said

George nodded, "Do what you must, I will be stopping by the library to retrieve what information I can from the elder, Cenor," he walked back by them to the front door, "I'll meet you just outside the gates if I take too long."

Derrick quickly walked over and into his room to avoid the light that was about to be let in, "Actually, I think you should lead me outside to the gate first. So I can find a place to take shelter while we wait."

George stopped, "Oh, yes, sorry. That would be very logical. Come on, we can go to the library together," he held out his wing, and Derrick quickly zipped over to it, "You," he now spoke to Kihei and Makil, "May join us at the library once you have gotten what you need."

"Leave the two useless dragons here," the shadow Skyward growled. "We don't need them to come with us. They'll just slow us down."

Mistrain allowed himself a small laugh from his hiding place. His plan was working!

Skyward struggled to get out of the ropes. She clawed frantically, trying to get out. She finally managed to rip through the rope and slipped out.

Shadow walked up to 'fake' Skyward and stared at her.
"I don't like your attitude towards the wingless, maybe you should leave," he said venomously.

Makil nodded "Ok George" He said before leaving for the town square to buy supplies

"I'm going to find the others" Kihei said before leaving, he flew to the group, landing next to Kumara "Hey, what's going on?"

By the ancients...WHY in the world are they going BACK??? Aretis groaned, seeing...that...happen. "You guys do realize you were supposed to pack last night, right?" He rolled his eyes. "Great...now it'll be dinner by the time I eat my lunch." He groaned at the thought and with that sort of foul thought turned his attention toward problem number 2. He looked more annoyed than surprised when he lifted his eye. Aretis sighed. "Okay, first off, I know you're an illusion. How? Illusions are kind of my thing. And although a multiple person illusion is pretty cool, it's also probably the easiest to see through if you're looking close enough. Second off, don't talk trash about my friend I met yesterday. So get out in the open before I personally rip your hide off and use it to make a nice mat on my doorstep!" He threatened and shot a glance at exactly where Mistrain was hiding. Aretis wasn't really in the mood to let anything slip. Also he was still waiting to see if his experiment would work.

Mistrain shot a blast of extremely bright lightning at Arteis, and then leaped off as the shadow Skyward leaped at him. It appeared that the shadow Skyward was breathing the lightning.

Skyward ran into the area. "Sorry I was… wait…" she growled. "That's not me! Get out of here, you evil doppelgänger-thingy!"

OOC: ok ill skip the whole library visit actually so we don't get left behind. Eyebrawler, I'm going to just throw them out into the forest after the supply collection and library visit with Cenor.

Derrick zoomed across the forest floor going from shade to shade, avoiding as much contact with the sunlight as possible, I can sense some dark magic use... Weird. he thought as they drew closer to the group. George was flying high above the tree tops with Makil.

Makil was doing his best he could to stay up to speed with Derrick so he could use his shadow to protect himself from the sun "Derrick is really fast George! I've never seen anything like it" He said

Aretis didn't close his eyes fast enough. He reeled back, blinded for a second but before the actual strike hit, his flinch knocked him out of the way and he only had his neck slightly burned. For a moment, he relied on just his hearing and feeling the vibrations of the ground. He stomped on the ground and shot an earth spike up to where Mistrain landed when she leaped away. "The doormat way it is." He growled. He crouched and then opened his eyes. His vision was a little blurred but he could see clearly enough for him. Should've figured an attack like that would come. He thought to himself before charging at the enemy. He seemed unnaturally fast as Aretis shot toward Mistrain like a cannon ball, claws outstreched.

((Mistrain isn't using dark magic. His illusions are basically mirages.))

Mistrain created an illusion of himself rearing up to attack, and sent another extremely bright lightning bolt at the group. He then ran farther off into the woods, taking as many twists and turns as he could to throw them off.

The shadow Skyward dissipated. "What…just…happened?" Skyward asked.

"Ahh... You said some bad stuff about Greyscale, however that wasn't really you because you just came out of nowhere and the other you disappeared... What was i even saying?" A confused Kumara said trying to explain the situation.
"Basically there was an illusion of you, meaning someone knows what we are up to," Shadow cleared up.

"Well, that explains that... I guess?" Kihei said as he looked at Kumara "H-hi Kumara..."

Aretis saw the attack coming a mile away. He ignored the illusion, going straight for the real Mistrain. This time he shielded his eyes by bending the light around his eyes and dodging the bolt. Aretis could easily track Mistrain with his abilities and kept creating earth spikes to force Mistrain to run other directions or otherwise be speared by the ground. Suddenly four big earth spikes came out of the ground around Mistrain trapping him on all four sides. The only way out was up. And Aretis was hovering right above that trap. "I've had enough trouble for one day, so I'm going to say this once and make it VERY clear. Touch any one of the dragons that are traveling in this party, including Skyward, and I will make sure you spend the rest of your life limbless, sightless, and flightless. I'm letting you off today, but that doesn't mean the same thing will happen next time. Thank you." He said seemed to hover for a minute before flying away. Now, of course the one that appeared above the trap was just an illusion and Aretis was only a minute away from where the group had left. It's not like they traveled very far anyway.

Aretis sighed. "Alright, back to business. Greyscale, can you step on this platform. I'm going to try and levitate you over the mountains instead of flying." He explained, touching the place where he got burned for a second and assessing the damage. Nothing really to be concerned about, but it'll cause him a bit of discomfort for awhile.

"We should really get moving," Shadow said, "we have waisted enough time as it is and no progress has been made." He then glanced over at Greyscale.
"Come on, we don't have all day," he said.

Kumara looked towards Kihei, "hey there," she said nervously. She didn't talk to other dragons that much, every time she did she wouldn't know what to say.
"So you're coming along as well?"

"You don't understand!" Mistrain growled, but he saw Aretis flying away. To himself he added, "If they won't see the light, they'll get enveloped by the dark like everyone else who tried to mess with the balance."

"Of course" Kihei said with a smile "You don't need to be nervous Kumara... I won't let anything happen to you... You can trust me..."

Aretis looked at her for a second. "It's just the surface. It'll grow back. I'll put some sort of ointment on it later but for now I'll deal with the discomfort." He said and levitated the platform. Slowly at first and then he leaped into the air, flying and bringing the platform up to his level. It wobbled a little before staying parallel to teh ground.

George shook his head with a light laugh, "I think he's been training in it," he flew down a little lower to allow the two below to hear him. He then spotted the bright lights that shown from the area ahead, "A light dragon? Don't see too many of them. Could it be the female we saw in the library yesterday?" He seemed to question out loud on accident, but it didn't matter either way, "Be careful Derrick, we may be traveling with light dragons."

Derrick, in his haste, nodded without an oral reply, and seemed to speed up, "Just go back above the trees before you hit one please," he called out to Makil as he started leaving him behind.

On the edge of the small clearing where the others have gathered for the continuation of the journey, Derrick halted quickly at the edge of the darkest shadows, "I totally missed the fact we have a flightless with us. But hey, they tend to be the strongest in their elements and ground combat skills," he said to himself as he zipped around to get as close as he could to the group, "Hay," he called out not close enough to be heard. He then noticed the levitating block of earth, thin, but completely solo, blocking light, "Alright, here goes nothing," he then shot out of the trees at full speed, reaching the group in less than three seconds.

Stopping abruptly under the platform, even though it was not too high off the ground. He liked up to who ever spotted him first and gave a large grin, "Do excuse our late arrival. I don't travel well in the day hours, but you guys sleep at night, so I had to adapt the best I could," he curled his tail up out of the light as it looked close to catching fire.

George and Makil were not too far behind, there were just outside of the clearing by now.

"Hi Derrick" Kihei said

Makil followed Derrick's instructions and went back up to George "He's really nice George, you're lucky to have him so optimistic for someone in his situation"

George nodded, "We are both lucky. Without each other, no doubt we would be here today," he looked over Makil, "He has hunted for me on multiple occasions. Whether it be just to keep me alive as his willing source of life, we need each other."

Derrick made a quick wave, "Well I should probably get back to the trees, I can see this thing has a different use, plus I'm still burning up a little down here. Just wanted to let you guys know we are right behind you, see you all later, when the sun has set most likely," he then quickly shot out back across the opening to the tree line.

"Ok Derrick" Kihei said

"You need each other, but I know he also wanted to help you out" Makil said

Aretis flew over the mountains over to the area he had planned for lunch. It was a few hours late, but he was exhausted by the time they touched down. As soon as he landed he collapsed, his limbs giving out under the energy drain. He fingered around his bag for the energy potion he needed for this occasion. "I'd like lunch now." He muttered between breaths.

((No......... We're in a forest clearing on the mountain outside Ceaador))

Shadow and Kumara sat down away from the group but not too far to be left out of conversation.
"'the mushroom kingdom' huh? Sounds like an awful place," Shadow commented.

Kihei followed Kumara "I wanted to know... Do you like me?" He asked

"Like you?" She repeated, "well sure, as a friend."

Derrick found a large shadow patch on the other side of the new resting point, and laid out as close as he could to the group. He had found some edible wild fruits along the way, staying low to the ground, he had ran through some berry bushes and a few red fruit trees. He snatched them up for George, maybe he'd like them.

George nodded, "That and I wouldn't leave him home alone, no idea as to what I come back to," he replied as they drew closer to the group, "We've been up here for a few hours, but it seems the others had had some impasses," he noticed as the white, thin male dropped into the grass.

"I'm going to land and see what happening" Makil said as he landed next to Starz "Hey guys"

Kihei smiled at the 'well sure', then frowned when Kumara said 'as a friend' "Oh... Ok Kumara..." He said "I'm an idiot! Why would anyone like me as more than a friend?" He thought

Current Personality: Jokeful, considerate and kind to strangers but to those he cherishes is a loving individual but sadly also an insanely over protective one which due to his past is understandable, In a fused state of former and current personality, whilst he does love to socialize he will have no quarrel destroying or murdering those who try to hurt his friends or family in any way or take pleasure in the harming of innocents, and often expresses sadism and sport in fighting opponents before extracting pleasure from giving back their own medicine if they deserve it that is. Has refrained from going all overboard with enemies but sometimes old habits came back and he really needs to teach them a lesson. *Basically less angry Punisher..I suck at summaries*

History: Once a laidback joke-full kind and caring teenager part of a family of three was among the others to find themselves orphans after their parents were killed in war, after a long time of recovering but slightly changed from the experience
tragedy struck as one friend was killed by a bandit raid. Being disillusioned with the current society and believing the escaped bandits should be punished he set out to deliver justice Leaving his remaining siblings and friends behind, however
after dealing with the bandits came to the idea this world would be better with a better self imposed system and strives to make it reality by performing genocide on those he considered evil. Soon enough his remaining friends and siblings tracked him down and after
many fights and battles the message came to him that the only way to make a better future was together and not in darkness. After making amends with his friends and families he set off to travel the world and find a better method of peace that didn't involve killing...much.

Other: Extremely coherent in physical combat

George took his time as he flew in to land down by the group. Spotting Aretis laid out in the grass searching for something in his bag, "You look like you've been through hell," he walked over picking up the bag, "What is it you need?" He kept it close to Aretis to assure that he had no intention of taking anything for himself. Subconsciously he extended his right wing out and a shadowy haze filled the space under it. It was for Derrick, to which he had shot over to as soon as he noticed.

"I see," Shadow responded, "I never was a fan of... Mushrooms," he shuddered at the thought.

Kumara's head tilted, "are you OK? You seem to be down," she asked worriedly.

((I actually loath mushrooms Irl... ))

Aretis drank the potion and his energy recovered almost instantly. Of course, it was actually just exponentially increasing his natural energy recovery for a few minutes. He caught the lunch, wondering a little bit if she was still mad at him for taking off. I don't get them sometimes. He sighed, opening up his lunch and began eating.
