Geez, I know your feeling, I think a lot of people know your feeling. I haven't really spoken to you much but you seem genuine and sweet, and I think you're a cool guy. ;
You're going to hate me for this, but yeah, I think you're going to have to just bite the bullet and try to talk to her more. Like, yeah, it's super hard at first because you have to reach for something to have a conversation about, but the more you get to know her, the more you can talk about and it gets a lot easier. But I know the feeling of talking to a friend, and talking to someone you're interested in. It feels a lot different ... probably because you want to say something to impress them and not seem like a total dork LOL. But for me, personally, acting like a total dork is endearing and cute and I think it's super sweet. And for me personally, I wouldn't get annoyed or angry if anyone wanted to talk to me, even a stranger (but I mean obviously you have to be nice). I think it's nice that someone saw me and thought it'd be nice to start a con wraation. It's a good feeling! It's hard gathering the courage, I know, but ... nothing worth it is easy I guess lol. I'm no bloody expert on this crap, don't get me wrong, because I'm like the expert on unrequited love (both on my end and my admirers ends) ... but yeah, you just gotta bite the bullet and try to talk to her more. Make excuses to be around her, learn about her so that you have more to talk about, stuff like that. If worst comes to worst, you get a new friend out of it. ;;

Aw thank you!! That means a lot to me. I have been talking to her over the past week. It really wasn’t as bad as I thought lol. It definitely gets easier with time too. Just gonna see where it goes and what happens next.

So, my dad has cancer.

We don't know how bad it is yet. The doctors seem optimistic, but they've been optimistic about everything else up to this point and they've been wrong (that's no fault of theirs - being optimistic is part of their job and I'm sure they're doing their best, it's just hard to put trust in anything other than hard answers).

I'm trying not to panic. Really want to take it in stride and not fall apart unless I have a reason to.

But damn, it's hard.

So at work my department has had our current manager for about two months or so. I thought she was pretty cool tbh, I mean we get along well and all. But this week we find out she put in her resignation for next week AND she just got one of our best associates and good friend of mine fired.

He had been here for over five years. To be fair she did catch him commit a safety violation but it wasn’t something he should have been fired for. We’ve all pretty much lost respect for her now especially that she’s leaving. It’s just a really ****ty way to go out.

my doctor wants me to go gluten free and cut out all junk food because of my thyroid condition. bruh......gluten free bread is $5 a loaf and tastes horrible. what am i supposed to do. everything meant to be gluten free is so expensive and i feel like i can't eat anything now

oh yeah and she wanted me to cut out coffee. No. coffee, takis, and kfc chicken littles stay. i guess i can part with most other things. but now i cant eat mac and cheese so im like really sad

is that really all you're capable of talking about? listen, i get that you dont like it here, but its making so many of us so uncomfortable that we just dont even like talking to you anymore, because you always make it a "well if we all lived in japan this wouldnt happen" thing. i get that you hate living here. i get that you hate this school, this city, this state, this country, and this whole ****ing continent, but jesus christ its all you ever talk about anymore. even though ive repeatedly asked you to stop because of how uncomfortable it makes me (not to mention the others), you turn back around and do it anyways and get super defensive when we ask you to stop. we love you, we care about you, but for my girlfriend and i in particular, its had such a bad effect on our mental health that we've had to see the counselor about it a lot more than usual because we're already stressed and hate everything, and the one place we have to relax and spend time with our friends and talk to them, you always fill it with all of this negativity when thats the exact thing we're trying to get rid of. i cant mentally take it anymore

a lot of people my friends know have been passing. my nan's friend, my friend's husband, my friend's dad, some older family members .... and I realise it's literally something none of us can escape. It's set in stone, we're going to go. And I just, I don't know what will happen when the time comes. I know people believe in gods and stuff, and I don't know, I want to believe it. I truely truely do. Maybe I need a wake up call or something. An epiphany. A sign to let me know what will happen. I wish faith came easy to me ...
but like, when we're gone, were gone. We will never come back. We can never experience a cat purring, the starry sky, breeze in the leaves, a hug from another person. That will be gone forever. We will never experience how the earth will continue after we leave. What advances will be made. Nothing. It will be nothing. And I just can't comprehend what nothing will be. Our brains allow us to comprehend reality, but when our brain dies ... we can't comprehend anything. Does our consciousness pass on? But ... that's created by our brains, which are dead. God. I don't want to think about this. I can't sleep.
