A storm is coming

This week went much better than I thought it would. I guess I shouldn’t be so pessimistic.

i feel calm, for once. wonder how long it'll last.

I’m honestly starting to wonder if I’m even cut out to have friends. Seems like every time I’ve made a friend, I’ve either been too distant or too attached, no in between. I either overindulge in “me time” to the point that they might as well not even be my friend anymore, or I get too attached and suddenly all of their problems are also mine. It’s one extreme or the other, and I just can’t find a good middle ground.

(edit: but I really am trans and am too scared to tell anyone irl. no one i know personally trans and all i hear from my peers are slurs and jokes. my plan is to wait until i graduate to really start fully presenting as my preferred gender. its just... waiting is hard. and im sorry for expressing that in a harmful way to people who might have had the same uncomfortable experiences as myself. that was really low of me and i think i should hold myself to a higher standard.)

Sure, the world might be a total craphole and there's a good chance that anything we do will be rendered completely pointless later on. But I'll be damned if I let that stop me from doing the things I love. Yeah, nothing really matters, but at the same time, nothing really matters! The world is our oyster! We can do whatever we want! Is it weird to say that I can be there when they need someone to talk to? Is there something about me that makes it hard to open up to about anything?

Is there something I'm doing that weirds them out? I'm sorry I'm so socially awkward and don't know how to talk, avoiding me hurts so much. I'm trying to get closer but if feels like I'm so awkward I'm just getting farther.
