Kokoro wasn't breathing, he wasn't moving. His eyes were closed. His skull mask had a huge crack that went from his left eye socket down to the nose. Also, one of the horns of the skull was broken off.

Suddenly, Kokoro had a violent coughing fit. His eyes fluttered open and shut constantly and then shut again permanently. A bit of blood came out of his mouth, then more and more. His head rolled to one side.
