I wish I had talent like you people... xD
Anyways, this Christmas I'm hoping my parents got me more Skylanders than I wanted and maybe a double so I can try painting one and failing. I'd try painting my Dark Spyro to be darker but I know I'd screw that up.

I recently painted my L slam bam's fur a lighter blue, like in game. I'll try to post pics. I also painted my jet vacs nails black. It kinda bothered me all yellow.

I didnt think i could paint either, the trick is to just try with a figurw you dont care about. I started with prism break, who i recently re-repainted. If you try once, you'll be hooked. It's very fun.

Good idea. I'll probably try Bash. But I don't have any paint so I'd probably just try to use markers.

Anyways, what kind of paint do you guys recommend? I'm going to try painting my Legendary Slam Bam's hair to match his in-game appearance

i did that. you have to look in game before you paint,though. i spent 2 hours painting him, only to find i had a horrible color. i went with straight cobalt blue on mine.

I'm going to go with a metallic standard blue, since it matches his in game appearance.

Legendary. You can get a cynder or a jet vac for as cheap as 7 dollars shipped on ebay. Or see if anyone here wants to sell their extras from multiple starter packs for cheap. I just bought the 3 starter pack figures for 20 bucks off someone shipped. Or start painting your series 1 figures...or buy the series ones for cheap at TRU when the have a bogo deal.

As always, when you see something this big...it looks flawed...but remember this is at double size on most screens. I always see all the flaws when I look at em this close!

I just got my magnifying lighted glass with figure holder so I can get in there to paint in fine detail! I also will be doing a Philadelphia Eagles version. What I want to do is go find some small decals of the team logos that I can stick on them like you see on the little 50 cent helmets in the vending machines. I think that'd be a nice touch.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm not out to make a profit for these. I tried that and the zombie swarm sold for only 38 bucks. Then someone proceeded to copy it and try to sell their own version of what I did...but used my image.

I just am doing it for fun and to get better with my artwork...I have no ulterior motives other than to share stuff for others to see...and spark creativity into a cool franchise.

No matter how much time you spend on a custom, you (the creator) will always see a mistake somewhere. let me just say it was so awesome i just died a little and the dead part of me was resurrected in its awesomeness.

That turned out really good. The only thing that is bugging me about it is that it's Falcon's themed, not Patriots themed.

lol...funny you say that. I'm not a Falcon's fan. Nor am I an Eagles or a Ravens Fan...I am a Seahawks and Packers fan. But you can pretend it's not a themed figure at all if you like. I just chose a team that was actually good enough to make the playoffs. I will be doing a Ravens and a Seahawks version too... I am pretty pleased with how it turned out too. Took forever.

Well Im from England so I dont know if my ToysRus are doing that and also as I said I dont really have any dollars to buy stuff like that...

sad but true ... and in the uk it is already nearly twice the normal price of buying them in the usa

My TRU has the old 3 packs more expensive then the the Giants 3 packs. WTH? 25.99 vs 24.99
