Yeah. I will never include the variants or misprints as needed to complete a collection. If that were the case, the included poster would have been a heck of a lot bigger.

Some are content with calling their collections complete at 32/32, which is all the poster shows. Lately, at Toys R Us, their standees show all 37 on the poster, for obvious reasons.

Like I've said. Only elitist - arrogant - people would sit there and say that a collection isn't complete at 32 or 37, just because they own variants or more than others.

I'm sure you will hit 37 soon. They seem to be out in all areas now. Just keep up the hunt.

I am going to keep my eye out for these UBER rare misprints. They smoke the actual variants in rarity.

You should edit that post then, to reflect you current position because I am quite confused! This post was the reason why I thought at first that you got all of them, and why I clicked on your topic because I was really hoping to see all of them. I'm still happy to see all the original Skylanders though!

However, I am still impressed by your collection and quite a bit jealous, since I have quite a hard time to find them around here. I am thinking to start buying them off eBay. I've been able to find the 3-pack with Cynder for around 32$ (didn't buy it, I'm still waiting to see if I can find it in store) so maybe I'll get lucky soon.

Mispackaged Skylanders? I would never include them as being needed. I was simply mocking the arrogant people here who keep trying to tell themselves - while convincing others to believe what they believe as they rub it off as fact which there are no facts in this matter - that people here aren't done unless they have variants like they do.

37 of 37 is what's needed to complete a Skylanders collection. Some are fine, though, with 32 of 32.

What are you going to do with all of the giants, new skylanders, and re-designs? Are you going to use a other wall?

Good question. Allow me to explain.

I used to use half of my current Skylanders wall (east wall) and half of another wall (south wall) for my collection. It is now entirely on the east wall of my gameroom. The south wall has 3 posters on it, that used to hang on the half of the east wall.

Based on rumors, this is coming out -

- 8 regular Skylanders
- 8 Giants
- 32 reposes.

Now, for the reposes, I will only buy more that one of each, if they go up to any new level cap and can learn any new moves. Should they not, I will only buy 1 of each to keep sealed to hang on the south wall.

The new characters and giants, if they can be upgraded like the originals can, I will buy 3 of each.

HOWEVER, this all depends on a couple of things. Activision and Toys for Bob themselves. I can't lie. The way they handled the distribution of figures was amateurish at best. They did a bad job and got some backlash for it. They will need to -

1: Make the figures easier to get ahold of.
2: Stop pulling stupid stunts like releasing Camo/Warnado in the US and Wham Shell in AU.

Those are the two main ways I will keep supporting this.

Other reasons, I would like and they would be smart for, are -

- Make the characters preorderable. They could announce all characters at E3, put hard dates on each wave, and allow places like Gamestop to take orders, so Activision/TFB and their chinese factories will know how much to pump out for preorder customers. This would help them make a ton of cash, while making it easy on customers.

- RELEASE ALL CHARACTERS ON DAY 1! It was flat out, plain as day, stupidity for them to drag out such a simple game for 6 months. My son beat the game in a day. He's 9 and didn't even break a sweat. Imagine how a hardcore gamer like myself did.

The above will do one thing. It allows people to build their collection and get done with the game quickly. I hear the game is shorter than the first game, and with level 10 Skylanders, the game is going to be the easiest game of all time. With characters all bought and everything done from day 1, people can beat the game and anxiously await the next game a year down the road. Many are still lacking Skylanders from the first game, but the sequel comes out in less than 6 months.

With poor distribution of the more popular characters, people are going to flip Acti the bird if they can't EASILY find the figures they need for the first game, when the sequel comes out. That's just poor business.

So, it all depends on if Acti/TFB puts their brains in their heads and make better calls with the toys on the sequel. My eyes are on E3 for any info Skylanders related. I wish Activision had its own conference like Ubisoft, Konami, EA, Nintendo, MS, and Sony have each year. They could bring some much needed info to light.

I think you answered your own problem! haha.
The reason why they did that (the characters being distributed over many waves) was to continue to pump interest in the series. The game is short in it's own right, and by having people coming back for more despite the fact they've already beaten the game has contributed to Skylanders being the "hot" item, and keeping it on the market. If they would have released all characters from day one, it may have saved a lot of collectors and players the headaches that have been brought over the last couple months, but people would have played and moved on.

They want to keep interest in it, and this is how they're doing it. Admittedly, it's nightmarish to have to hunt down something simple like a new character, but I think the bigger problem is how few of the new ones are out. I mean..one in a case? That's bonkers.

Activision has said 24 reposes and 4 light-force characters, making it 28 not 32.

And 4 new adventure packs equals 32!

I am hoping for new adventure packs. However, I bet they feature the new Skylanders in them.

Who said that an adventure pack equals a new skylander? (By that I mean it can be 4 of the 8 new Skylanders, so it doesn't add up)

"We have now new skylanders... but we didn't thought about the adventure pack... we need to make more skylanders..."
"Why can't we just take a new skylander, we don't sell it as a single and we put it in an adventure pack?"
"No it's just stupid, we need to create new skylanders now"

I'm guessing some of the 8 new regular Skylanders will be in an adventure pack. If not 4, at least 2. However, I would hope TFB isn't looking to fall backward, instead of move forward. Usually, a sequel is supposed to 1up the original.

However, I'm hearing shorter game, with no confirmation of adventure packs, and only 16 Skylanders instead of 32, makes for a quick cash grab.

You know you have the whole collection because the varites are kible it really only maters about the 37/37 but it would be cool to see that you have Pearl Hex in your collection but it would hard to get

Given that you have stated categorically that you are actually selling all of your variants, the logical progression would be that my sig would need to be added to, not reduced.

I intend to show you mine. Show me yours.

I am happy to post a picture of all of my variants; no one has ever doubted my integrity so I never felt that I had anything to prove. I was merely waiting for the collection to be complete before bothering.

And, I admit that I thought the latter post also included the gold ones but it does not. I am more than happy to take a photo of them and even include the Toy Fair Cynder but that has been independently verified as Monsinour shipped it to me. On that topic, he also shipped the golds to me as I got them from EBay (as at the time I never thought they would see the light of day in the civilised hemisphere of the world).

As for me flip-flopping. I am not of the mind to have incomplete things. If my variants are incomplete, there's no reason to have any of them. I - for a time - was thinking I wouldn't get them. Then, I started seeing prices fall. I changed my mind to, "I will have them all in time." But, yes. There is no reason to have any variants, if I can't have them all. So, as a smart person, I would naturally sell them and stop looking. However, I came upon chance, and got more. Now I only need 3 variants to have them all.

Should I not be able to get anyones at say, the upcoming E3, I may change my mind again. However, having all variants put together, could net me a pretty penny, but only if I sell quick. I can go to SDCC myself, where I hear they will have 1-2 exclusive Skylanders.

E3 singles, eh... I had a chance at Trigg, but the thing that sucked about the promo singles of Spyro, Gill, and Trigg, is that they were all loose in package. Even still, I'd like to see someone who has all 3 of those.

What do you consider misprints? You mean like my silver-faced Ignitor, that seemingly is the only one in the world?

I'm heading off to E3 this year. I was there last year but when it was going on I had no interest in Skylanders which is a bone head move, so you can bet your ass I'm going to be all about snatching whatever promos they have this time!

I've been doing these things for like 7 years, they are not as fun as you'd imagine. But Everytime it comes up I get one of the tickets for our store and go. Sigh.

It took time to wear me down with the constant bragging and on-upping. Now, psych analysis discusses how a braggart's behaviour demonstrates an inferiority complex.

I have tried to get him to re-evaluate how he presents himself as a goodwill gift. My prior recommendations fell upon deaf ears. So, at the end of the day, I figure the way to hopefully get the message across is that no matter what he says or does, there will always be someone else who is better. Unfortunately, sometimes you do have to win against a child to educate them how to be gracious and remember their manners.

Oh, yeah, I will post a pic when you post proof of your update. And, my word is truly my bond, so I won't make you wait months with false promises. The only disclaimer I put on it is if I am iner-state for work then I logically cannot photo/post anything until I get back (i.e. potential delay of days, nothing more).

Honestly I'm not taking any sides but I must say. That after GM's very abrasive lash out to others on the promo stump smash thread for bickering, I think it's time for him to live up to his own words and beliefs that he displayed there and just close this topic already to end his own E pissing contest along with his VIP thread as to not seem hypocritical. Why do you need proof of my incoming variants, in order to post yours? I asked you. This isn't about me. I simply want to see your variants grouped together in one nice pic.

1/. You are responsible for how you portray yourself. For example, if I used terrible grammar and spelling, people would think I was illiterate so I put the effort in to minimise my typographical errors (not saying you don't also do so, merely using a convenient, simple example).

2/. When you prove you have new variants, I will post that picture. I will do so as expeditiously as possible and if I am not at home, I will provide a reasonable estimate of when I will. I have no intention of waiting month for you to reciprocate.
