Fyre tail-swiped Rose right before he hit the ground, then tried to scratch her wing, but she dodged and burned him with fire. He growled and tried to hit her again, but this time using comet dash. She couldn't get out of the way quick enough, and her scales smoked from the heat. She turned around and rammed into him, leaving him on the ground. She tore his wing, and he yelled in pain.
Uglier(still didn't know his name then)was sitting on the other side of the building, watching. I was frozen in fear, and he crept past the fighting dragons, and shot poison at me. I realized just in time, and flew up, the poison centemeters away from hitting me. I flew towards him and managed to bite his wing. He growled and hit me with his tail, and i flew off and hit the wall. I moaned and got up, to see him walking towards me. He used scorpian strike, and i was too sore to get out of the way. My scales burned, and i couldn't move. He smiled, and grabbed me.
No. I thought. I'm not weak. I can kick this dragon's butt.
Feeling a new strength, i made an electricity sphere. Uglier dropped me, screaming. That got Fyre and Roses' attention, and Fyre ran to help Uglier. I ran over to Rose. She had scratches and a few burns, but nothing too serious. While Fyre was occupied, i silently went up behind him.
Time to show Fyre how to really use this element. I thought, then flames started to surround me. I smiled, and then all the flames flew at Fyre. He just had time to look around and open his eyes wide before the flames reached him.
How about a different type of fire? I flew above him and breathed shadowfire down, which put him over the edge. He flew up to meet me, pure fury in his eyes.
"Hi." I said innocently, which made his rage grow. He flew at me, then everything went dark.

I regained conciousness and felt pain unlike i'd ever felt before. I opened my eyes and saw Rose next to a fire.
"That was about the dumbest thing anyone could ever do. Enraging Fyre is a death wish. The only thing that saved you is Shadow's orders for you to be alive."
I stayed quiet for a while, then finally realized why Shadow wanted me alive, and why Fyre and Uglier wanted to capture me.
"No!" I sat up. My heart was racing, my whole body was full of fear. This couldn't be happening.
"Yes. Shadow chose the most powerful young dragon she knows about."
"Me? Why me? Why do i have to be so frickin powerful?! Why couldn't be some other dragon?!"
"I don't know. But all i can say is may the anscesestors be with you."
"You're leaving me?"
"What? No. I know it sounded like that, but no. I will stay with you and protect you, with my final breath if neccisary."
"What? You can't do that! I don't want to be responsible for your death!"
"If i do die, then at least i will have died trying to save many other lives."
I was quiet. Why me? I didn't ask to be this powerful, I didn't even ask to be a dragon! But here i am, and i know it will happen sooner or later.
"I shouldn't have told my friends to find me. Now they'll be looking for me, and i don't want them to."
"Calm down. There are no guarantees thatyou'll be captured by Fyre and Kelp."
"So thats his name. Kelp." I said to myself.
"What were you calling him earlier?"
"I was calling Fyre Ugly and Kelp was Uglier."
there was a moment of quietness, and then we both burst out into laughter.
Just relax, Desi. You won't be captured.

"Look!" Karen said. "There it is!" The three landed near the warehouse and turned human. The door was slightly open. Karen and Alondra looked at eachother, then ran towards the building. They went inside, and gasped. There was blood, ashes, and puddles of poison everywhere. They both fell to their knees from sadness.
"No..." Alondra said.
"She has to be alive!" Karen said, starting to cry.
RC came in, then saw everything.
"What the hell happened?!"
"Desi..." Karen whispered.
"This can't be happening." Alondra said.
"This isn't good."
"Well, her body isn't here, so she's alive." RC said, trying to stay calm, but tears were starting to form in her eyes.
"She has to be alive, right? She can't be dead! Its impossible..." Alondra tried to comfort herself.
"I can't believe it. We're too late."
"She has to be alive! Stop assuming the worst!" RC was yelling.
"We...we have to go on without Desi." Alondra said.
"NO!" Karen yelled. "WE'RE TOO LATE! ITS ALL OUR FAULTS! WE SHOULD'VE FOUND THIS PLACE SOONER! IT FRICKIN STICKS OUT LIKE A SORE THUMB! WE WERE ALL LAZY! WE BARELY FLEW ANY TIME AT ALL! AND NOW DESI IS DEAD BECAUSE OF IT!"
Alondra and RC were quiet. Then alondra walked up to Karen. Tears were on both of their faces.
"Karen...I'm sorry that we didn't make it in time. But we have to move on. We flew almost every hour of the day. We slept 3 hours each day. What were we going to do? Try to fly the entire time?"
"It would've saved Desi's life if we had!"
"We don't know that. We have no idea if we could have saved her. Karen, we need to leave. Whoever came here will probebly be back, and Desi wouldn't want us to die the same way she did. She...she would want us to find Spyro and Cynder."
"How do you know what she would want?! Were you her friend since second grade? Did you go over to her house every week for months in a row? Do you even talk to her on the internet? No! You don't! So just shut up! You don't know desi at all! Desi wouldn't have wanted to die like this! She asked for our help, and we didn't give it to her! Her last thoughts were probebly, 'i hate Karen, Alondra, and RC'! She hated me before she died. I'll never forgive myself. How did we let this happen? I can't take it! First our families and homes, and now this! One of us died, Alondra. This just shows how stupid we all were to leave. We shouldn't have let desi go at all. Just...just leave me alone for a while." Karen said. Alondra walked a ways away from her, and sat down, thinking about it herself. And RC was just standing at the door, crying.
Everything had gone wrong.

I didn't cry, but it nearly start my depression worsening cycle.

"And where exactly are we going?" Rose asked. We were flying right below the clouds, and I was searching the ground. It's amazing that no one saw us. You'd think two dragons flying around would get at least some attention.
"We call it The Place. It's just a restraunt, exept one of my friends is obsessed with the burritos. Anyways, there's a chance they'll be there. If not, we can buy some burritos. If my friends are close by, RC will notice the burritos close by and they'll find us."
"That's...creatice." Rose said, and i laughed.
But then, for no reason, pain shot through my body. I couldn't move, and I started falling.
"Desi!" Rose yelled, then grabbed me. She landed then gently put me down. She changed to human, then looked at me closely. She closed her eyes. "Your scales...there's a glint of black in them."
I turned back to human, but it took longer than normal, and it was causing more pain.
I was really weak, and couldn't say much, but i was able to say one word.
"Crap." I whispered.
"Fyre or Kelp must've done this while we were fighting. I know someone that can help." Rose said. She turned into a dragon again, picked me up, and flew in the dirrection we had came from.

"We're almost there." Rose said. She landed at a house, then turned human. She knocked on the door, and a girl came out.
"Hi, Rose." Then when she saw me, she gasped. "What happened?"
"Shadow wants to corrupt her. We need to hurry. Do you know where your sister is?"
"Yeah, she's in her room. Meaghan! " She yelled. "Follow me." She said to Rose, and we went into a room. Right when she opened the door, two dogs came out.
"Zesty! Angel!" She said.
"Kaitlyn, keep them inside my room." Meaghan said, then saw me. "What? How?"
"We need to hurry. Her element is keeping the darkness from spreading, but it won't protect her forever."
I was too weak to talk, but i tried to mind-speak.
Night? I asked.
What? Wait, desi?!
"Kaitlyn, close the door. We don't want mom and dad getting in here right now. Rose, put Desi on the bed."
"Desi?" Kaitlyn asked.
"How do you know her?" Rose asked.
"We know eachother from the internet."
"Desi is a dragon! How is this happening? Is anyone else we know dragons, too?" Kaitlyn said.
"Wait...the only way you can know that is..." I said weakly, but couldn't finish.
"Yes, we're dragons, too." Night said. "Now, we need to hurry up before Desi turns dark!"
I instinctively knew to turn into a dragon, and they did the same. They put a paw on me, and soon i felt the pain and weakness go away. Then I turned back to human.
"How did you do that?" I asked. "And why didn't you do that before? Why did we have to travel all this way?"
"We all have the element shadow. It takes more than one dragon to get the darkness out of your body. But, we all need shadow, and there needed to be three of us. You're lucky. And, you would've already been corrupted it hadn't been for your other element.
"What element? Is shadow supposed to make you immune to corruption or something?"
"No, Desi. You are one of the few dragons that can master the power of light. You aren't able to use it yet, and now it will take even longer. But, don't worry. You'll get it in time."
"Wait, how do i know shadow and light? Isn't that impossible?"
"Is it impossible when you are the verry dragon that has both elements?" Rose asked, and i stayed quiet.
"Desi!!!" I heard two voices yell.
"What the heck..." We all looked out the window and saw Karen and Alondra outside.

After Karen, Alondra, and RC left the warehouse, they flew towards The Place.
"Can you hear that?" RC asked quietly.
"Voices." Karen said.
"Come on." Alondra said, flying faster. Karen and RC matched her speed, hoping to find out who it was. Then, they finnally saw someone.
"Look. There are two dragons." RC said.
"No...A dragon and a person..." Karen corrected.
"Desi!" Alondra said, and flew a little lower. She saw the dragon grab Desi, and fly towards them.
"In the clouds!" Karen said, and they all flew into a cloud. Once they thought that the dragon had passed, they came out.
"We need to follow her." Karen said, anger in her eyes.
"Calm down, Karen. We'll catch up, but right now, lets follow her to see what she does." Alondra suggested. Karen growled, but then nodded, but she still wanted to attack.
Finally, after hours of flying, the dragon finally landed at a house, and went inside.
They hid behind a bush and looked inside a window. They saw her put Desi on a bed, and a girl close the door.
"What are they doing?" Karen said. Then, they all started to fall through the ground.
"What the heck!" RC said. Then, they all fell to the ground and looked up.
"oh crap." They all said at the same time.
