"Again, can't we just try to uncorrupt him, and if he was never corrupted to begin with, then we should be fine." Alcaema stated, looking at Darakon.

"When did I nearly corrupt you, as I recall, in the first battle, you were shielded away from the tendrils until the very end, when one stabbed you after you went and attacked them, and you saw all those spells they did on me, like, one that removed spells, one that showed a true form, and what did they show, nothing different, but we all know corrupted dragons don't look like normal dragons."

"And I can tell you that your spells barely outlasted my spell." Trydan said staring at Darakon. "How about we try again?"

Darakon narrowed his eyes at Shade,he was running out of ideas.

"Darakon, if you are corrupted, tell us and things won't go badly for you." Poleire said.

"Yeah, if we can uncorrupt you, then you'll be our friend." Valley replied.

"Oh for goodness sake." Trydan said pulling out a different book. He started the revealing spell he had used earlier. This time he crushed two gems to insure he wouldn't be knocked out.

"Considering nobody knows how to uncorrupt, keeping him around would be a liability at best if he turns out to be such." Velia growled.

"There may be a spell or two that can help in Mr. Magic's spellbook over here." Alcaema flicked her tail at Trydan.

"I'm not so sure about this..." Kumara said nervously, "how do we know if we can actually trust this guy?"

(Sc, I'm not sure, but you do mean use the spell on Darakon, right?)

(Oh, wasn't sure with how you worded it.)

(I think we need The Nova Kid, I haven't seen him in over a day though, and that's not too common.)

Darakon closed his eyes, and a ball of chaos flame appeared in the center of the clearing, "I was their Master, I was the one who betrayed them, the chaos meteor was me, and, although I hate the word, I am corrupted," then the Chaos flame dissapeared again.

Poleire frowned, and prepared himself for whatever happened next.

"STOP!" Trydan said running in between Darakon and Shade. "WE DON'T NEED TO FIGHT!"

Valley looked at Darakon, "You sound like you don't like being corrupted."

"Why should I?" Trydan asked. "It makes no sense to attack him right now. If he were attacking us I would get out of your way. But I won't see a dragon murdered in cold blood." Trydan pulled a small book out of his bag, opened the book and flipped through the pages to a random page.

Darakon looked defeated and spoke, "I don't like it, I never asked to be corrupted, its not something I signed up for."

"Then let's do just what Alcaema suggested and find a way to freeyou." Valley replied.

"If you can, I'm up for it,"

"Did no one listen to me about my book?" Trydan said pulling out a white book with black letters all over it. "Sure the spell in it might not work, but it's worth a try."

"You want to see how I normally look, is that it? Well then, I guess it can't get any worse"

The ground at his feet lit up with dark flames which enveloped him, upon clearing, his true form was visible, it was pure black, with purple fur going down from his head, a red skull mask on his face and a red blade on his tail, the very tips of his wings were red too.

"Here, this is my corrupted form,"

Poleire looked at Darakon and then to Trydan, "Great, now let's get you out of it."

Darakon looked at Shade, and frowned, "You know what Shade, you remind me of my brother, Lucian, a lot, there are a lot of things that are similar, but one is this, neither of you accept what's different to what you're used to, and that means, that in both cases, you've both turned your noses up at something that could be your best asset,"

"You have your reasons for that, and I have my reasons to give everyone a second chance." Trydan said. "Now if Darakon is okay with it I'm going to use a spell in this book. It might be able to reverse this corruption."

Navy watched intently; if this worked, they may have a great advantage in their upcoming fights.

"Then go on and do it." Flasheris replied.

Darakon nodded, "Go on,"

"Okay," Trydan said. He Turned the pages and then started a spell.

Darakon watched as the spell wove around Trydan it took on the appearance of writhing blue tendrils of light tht stabbed nto him, he grabbed the ground with the pain that he was feeling, the let out a roar of anguish, his eyes turned red and his body began burning with chaos-flame, his hackles rose and the ground around his feet set alight with the purple fire, dark tendrils sought to swat away the bright blue ones, yet the blue ripped through them leaving just a trail of steam behind. Darakon screeched and then the flame expanded taking on a draconic form, and his corrupted form vanished with the flame, then the flames spoke to him, "Yet another betrayal, the Shadow shall have his revenge," and then the flames began cackling with evil and malice and shouted, "You do not know what you have done, you have given the Master his greatest ally, his most powerful asset, by taking away his weakest, FOOLS!" and then the flame was gone, disappeared into tthe night as if it had never been there, and all that was left was Darakon, standing on top of corrupted ground, that for the first time in forever, burned with pain, he yelped and jumped off it, then looked around, everything was brighter, all the sounds were clearer, and his whole outlook on life became more optimistic and he was happy, actually happy, for the first time in years of depression, he looked at Trydan, smiling, and said, "I don't know what that was, but thank you, whatever that was, it worked," and then, Darakon sat down and looked aat Shade, "And as unlikely as it is, maybe we could be allies now,"

"Ugh." Trydan said has he fell forward. "That thing was super angry. It tried to corrupt me but something pushed it away. May I just ask that I don't have to use that spell again?" He was half unconscious at this point.

Poleire smiled at Darakon, "Good to see you as a friend now."

"Yeah, we'll have fun together, well until something bad happens." Valley replied.

Trydan tried to stand back up and failed. "I am never using that spell without a good reason."

"Hopefully, you won't have to, but I doubt Alcon or the others would even WANT to be uncorrupted." sighed Darakon, "It was a choice that they made, they went to the Shadow and it corrupted them, and then they in turn corrupted me,"

"Who?" Trydan said.

"The other corrupted dragons, Alcon is around here somewhere, I don't know where the Shadow is, and there are a few others but I don't know if they're close-by or not," replied Darakon

"Well that's just great." Trydan said. "If that's the case... I'm going to need to cast a stronger shield on this camp site. Or we could just get going."
