Foxtail glanced up at Joannah when Ki introduced her. She looked a little shifty, unhinged, but who wouldn't be in a place like this? Plus, every little bit helped. "Sure, she can join" Foxtail accepted, yawning as he scratched his ear with his foot.

And Jenna, she's just been hanging around as we spoke.

"Cool!" I replied, admiring the orb. "I think it's neat how you dragons have elemental powers. I need weapons for that. And I can't fly, either..." My eyes averted in embarrassment.

"Injury?" I inquired. "I remember, once, we were wondering two questions back in my homeland. Some people wondered if Ice Dragons actually had wings made of ice and if blue fire was hot or cold. Both questions were answered when Flurry, our Ice Dragon, accidentally got her wings melted by Firestorm, our Frostfire Dragon. Kind of a funny sight, but she couldn't fly for a couple of weeks after that."

"You hear that Joannah? You can stay!" Ki said as he hugged her

Chico had barely taken account of this dragon here. He knew what that was... Well, mostly anyway. "What are your powers?" He asked.

"They seem to be gone. But maybe with this Lightning Orb…" I concentrated on the orb with sparks flying out of it.

((Skyhunter, do you think I should add the orb as a Special Item?))

Joannah smiled softly and hugged back slightly. She was still getting used to the whole touchy, huggy relationship things. In the back of her mind her 'other personality' relished in the fact that people were so welcoming and unknowing of what Joannah was or what was in her head. She had been there for a while and once had others with her, including the doctor she had told Ki about. Little did she know that Maxwell had been the 'doctor' and had placed that other 'personality' in her head through the mark on her cheek.

Ki blushed as Joannah hugged back "I love you Joannah" He said before kissing her

Joannah seemed caught off guard again and dint kiss back not really understanding the whole concept of kissing. She just kind of stood there with her eyes shut mostly enjoying the feeling of his lips on hers.

Ki felt that she didn't know what a kiss was "That was a kiss, its a way to show how much I love you" He explained

Joannah sighed. "Ki.... i know what a kiss is... I just... dont know what to do... I have never been kissed before.... I dont understand it... I mean it feels nice but it seems.....pointless...." She said looking away. The other personality in her mind was slowly changing her normal personality causing her to over think and to think little of small things like kissing.

"An injury...you could say that's what happened," I replied. My flawed wings had happened at my birth- heck, I hadn't even had wings at my birth, and had been mistaken for a human in the first couple years of my life. When they had grown in, they were stunted and flightless. Only the Power of Flight could enable me the ability to soar in the clouds.
I shook my way out of my thoughts and winced at Skyward's story. Melted wings? I'd heard the story of Pit's scorched feathers, but that sounded just as bad! Good thing that poor dragon was still alive. An angel wouldn't have survived such injuries, as an angel's wings are just as vital as a heart or brain.
I smiled at Skyward. "Could you show us what your powers can do?" I was curious about learning more about my companions.

"All dragons can breathe some sort of their primary element, but many only get as far as that. These Orbs unlock a dragon's true potential, making them stronger."

((Kind of a reference to increased chances to win objects from Quests in the Perch of Karios, although it may just be me that thinks it's true.))

"Trust me, its not pointless, you just relax and enjoy being with the one you love" Ki said

Joannah nodded. "alright...." She looked around. "Are we in need of resources? I can see in the dark so... i could go out and collect some things... if we need anything...." She said to ki.

"If anything, my guess is food" Ki said

Joannah nodded. "Alright." She said and turned. "ill be back at dawn..." She said and walked out into the darkness past the reach of the campfire light. Her eyes adjusted and she looked around seeing the creature who lurked in the dark, Charlie. She smiled as he watched her walk right by and she went to gather berries and carrots and hopefully get some meat for the new group she was part of.

Chico didn't want to say anything, but honestly, he was scared. What would powers do? He tried his best to act curious. Chico pricked his ears up, waiting for more. Act tough, he thought. Dont show them how nervous you are. Luckily, he had practice of this...

Teslo sighed. It was hard to believe that he was actually scared of spending the night in this place. How did he ever get to be the leader of the Electroids if he was scared of the dark? Still, he hadn't really ever gone to sleep without a bunch of lights on, courtesy of the Electroids, but something seemed to be…off about this place. That, and he saw a bunch of spiders on a nearby tree.

"Hmm," I said, nodding in understanding. It was an interesting concept- the orb itself held a powerful aura around it, and just the sight of it could be intimidating to enemies. Lightning must have been Skyward's "primary element" as she called it.

Ki sat next to his sleeping sister "I hope she comes back in one piece" He said

Joannah looked around and found several bushes but heard one rustling. 'Maybe there is a turkey in it...' She thought and moved over covering the bush with her blanket and then kicked the bush feeling what ever it was run out into her blanket. She smiled slightly and trapped the creature in the blanket and killed it quickly. She looked at the creature which actually was a well sized turkey and smiled. She laid out the turkey and gathered the berries and nearby carrots and then carried it slowly back to camp. The weight of the turkey slowing her down quiet a bit.

Ki saw Joannah dragging something "What did you get?" He asked

Joannah looked up and smiled seeing Ki. "i was getting berries from some bushes near by and there was a turkey in one of the bushes...."

Foxtail sniffed the air, and the aroma of fresh turkey delighted his senses. "Nice catch, Joey!" he congratulated the girl. His mouth was already watering; not surprisingly for a fox, poultry was always one of his favorite meats.

Ki hugged Joannah "You did great" He said

"Ooh! Turkey!" I licked my lips. "My mouth's watering already!" I flicked my tail from side to side. "Sorry, I can be a bit of a glutton. One thing you're hiding out in a farm with plenty of Dragon Snaps and Pumpermelons, and the next thing you're in a barren wilderness." I looked around. "Maybe not the 'barren' part, but it looks like we're going to have a food problem of sorts."

Joannah smiled and felt welcome and useful. She was sure that living off nothing but berries and carrots was hard. She looked around and then noticed on of the girls had made a crock pot. "W-we could probably make better use of the turkey if we cooked it in that... Make like a stew or something... I did find some carrots..."

Foxtail looked back at the crock pot. She was right, it would be better to spruce it up a little. "Hey, Austin, can I borrow your knife?"

I slowly woke up "Hm? Oh! Of course buddy" I said as I gave him my swiss army knife before going back to sleep with Jenny in my arms

"Joannah, you're amazing, I hope you know that" Ki said before kissing Joannah, hoping this time she'd kiss back

"Thanks!" Using the Swiss Army knife, Foxtail defeathered the gobbler, making a few choice cuts that he tossed into the crock pot along with some carrots as dressing. Covering the pot with its lid, he lit the charcoal underneath to let it cook. "Hope you guys are hungry," he said to the group. "'Cause I'm cooking us up a feast!"

Chico twitched his tail. He picked up his squirrel, and put it beside this... Pot thing? He wasn't sure. He also wasn't sure how to cook anything so... He backed off, but the left the squirrel. The more food the better, right?

Joannah closed her eyes and gently laid her arms around his shoulders and did her best to kiss back though it probably sucked cause she didnt know what she was doing.

Ki loved the feeling of the kiss, when it ended, he was smiling "That was great Joannah" He said before looking at Foxtail "When will it be ready?"

Foxtail looked down at the squirrel Chico laid by the pot, and prepared its meat and added it to the mix. He looked back up at Ki. "It should be ready any minute now" he said with a grin. It was his first proper meal since he got here, and he wouldn't be surprised if some of his friends were dealing with hunger pangs too.

Joannah looked around. She had eaten earlier that day and could tell that some of them hadnt eaten in a while and it made her feel bad.

Chico's stomach growled. He lay down with his head on his paws. He was actually happy to be in a group for once - he knew he would have at least someone to rely on. But on the other paw... He was a bit unhappy with himself for how he had changed. He faintly remembered how he had one been - independent, strong... Now he was mostly a nervous wimp. He narrowed his eyes.

The smell of the meal woke Virtu up, and she walked over to Chico "Are you ok buddy?" She asked

"What's wrong?" Ki asked

I got up and looked at Jenny with a smile "Wake up my robotic darling" I said in her ear

I watched as a girl I did not know as well as Chico contributed meat to the stew Foxtail was making. I cautiously stayed back a moment and observed the sky. What time was it? How was Dark Pit doing? Overcome with a desire to check on my best friend, I excused myself and ventured out into the forest.
Trying to make as less noise as possible, I moved stealthily through the trees and bushes as I glanced all around. Despite not knowing where this place was, I had to admit, it was pretty. Nature always has that effect, I guess. Before I knew it, I was at the foot of Dark Pit's tree. "Dark Pit?" I called up tentatively.
No response. I leaned over to the tree, wondering if I should climb it.
"Shadmé?"
I turned around in surprise which quickly became delight. Dark Pit had returned- his Silver Bow in one hand and some type of bird in the other. "Good timing," he said.
"Yeah," I replied, feeling dumb for not saying more. But Dark Pit understood. After carefully setting his bow away in a hidden hollow, he prepared to ascend the tree.
"May I join you? …For a moment, I mean," I asked. The dark angel shrugged indifferently, and I climbed after him.

After a few good minutes of cooking in the pot, the delightful smell of a promising dinner let Foxtail know that it was finished cooking. Excitedly removing the lid, he was surprised to find not a stew, but a turkey dinner, not unlike one served on festive Thanksgiving party, hot and ready to eat. How was that possible? Granted, he was no chef, but he didn't think such a meal to result from an appliance like this. Foxtail shrugged it off, assuming that the crock pot followed whatever strange logic that his science machine did and removed the roast turkey.

The smell had awoken Lotus on the ground and Treetop in the branches, who both came over, impressed. "Wow, that looks really good, Foxy!" Lotus complimented, and Treetop agreed. "Indeed, it looks delicious."

Foxtail blushed. "Thanks, guys, but it's Joey and Chico you should thank. They're the ones that found the ingredients." His two friends gave their signs of respect toward the girl and the dog, without whom this feast wouldn't be possible.

Jenny rose to her feet when Austin woke her up, and she too was amazed by the aroma of the dinner. It was strange how a robot could have such senses as smell and hunger, but she just figured that that's how her mother designed her.

With a hint of pride, Foxtail grinned as he looked over the hungry mouths. "Welp, dig in, everyone! Dinner is served!"

[So, yeah, besides just stews, the crock pot can make a lot of weird stuff like tacos, shish kabobs, and even candy. Yeah, it's usually best not to question Don't Starve's logic.]

Ki got a bowl for him and one for Joannah

Virtu got a bowl for her, one for Lotus, one for Treetop, and one for Chico

I got one for me and one for Jenny

Joannah looked at Ki. "thanks... but please make sure everyone else eats... i ate earlier today.... Id much rather have everyone else have some before i...." She said sitting wrapped in her blanket. She had seen Dark-Pit return but didnt say anything feeling bad about their encounter from earlier that day.

"It looks like my sister has that covered" Ki said

Joannah looked at his sister who had given everyone food and then nodded. "okay.." she said and took the bowl and smelt the food her mouth watering a bit. She ate it slowly savoring its flavor with every bite. It was her first real cooked meal in a while.

Foxtail split his portion three ways among his two colleagues. While Treetop ate his meal slowly and neatly, Lotus and her boyfriend messily wolfed theirs down. He gave an amused laugh. Foxes will be foxes, I suppose.

Ki sat next to Joannah and ate his food "Its good, what do you think Joannah?" He asked

Virtu sat next to Chico and ate her meal

I sat next to Jenny and ate

"This is delicious!" I flicked my tail excitedly. "Everyone has some, right?"

Chico wagged his tail. He was starving. "Thanks," he said to Vitrtu. Chico dug in, eating somewhat messily, being a dog after all.
