Alex: hey everyone! what's up?
Fireflight: what the heck are you doing here?!
Alex: i'm your dragonfly!
Fireflight: i haven't seen you in ages!
Alex: well, you see, it got kinda dangerous being with you, and you fly kinda fast, everyone wants to kill us, yeah, not fun
Fireflight: you just got scared you big chicken!
Alex: did not!
Fireflight: right! i remember when we met, you were flying away from a gold dragon, because you thought he would eat you!
Alex: that dosen't mean i'm a chicken!
Fireflight: ok, how about every time you saw someone that was after us
Alex:..................................thats why i didn't stay with you! you dragons are all alike!
Fireflight: just shut up!

“Ok, are we just going to rot in these cages?”
“Watch your mouth, Bluefire! No I don’t think that we will ‘rot’ in these cages. Just give it some time.”
“Time for what, sis?”
“I’ve got a feeling. Just give it time.”
“Ok…o yeah I forgot!”
“Shhh, calm down. No need to alert anyone.”
“Ok.” he said in a whisper

The two flew in silence until…
“Can’t you fly any faster?”
“Well, sorry that my wings aren’t as big as yours.”
“Sorry, I am a little annoyed right now. I should already be there saving them.”
“Who?”
“There’s Bluefire; he’s a child, but a great kid and there’s Sapphire…”

“Dude? Dude? Earth to Rougestone.”
“Huh? O, what? You were saying something?”
“No, actually, you were.”
“Right,…”
“Something about someone named Sapphire”
“Yeah… she’s great, just like her brother. So what is your story?”
“It’s not very interesting. I was born where we just left and I have live my entire life there.”
“Sounds like fun.”
“Trust me, it’s not.”
“How much longer do you think it will take to get there?”
“Just look down.”

“I guess that’s it.” said Rougestone
“Yep.”
“Alright, well it was fun.”
“Wait, what do you mean by that?”
“I thought that you would have wanted to go home.’
“It’s too boring there. I thought that if it was ok with you…”
“Yeah, it’s ok with me.” answered Rougestone
“Yes! Alright, let’s go!” he said as he descended towards the cave
“He seems excited, and I don’t blame him.” he said as he followed Traverse
*to himself* “We’re coming guys, just hold on”

“Wait, we can’t just barge in. Just wait here, I have a plan”
“Alright, I will be waiting”
After he agreed, Rougestone phased into the ground.
“I gotta learn how to do that.” said Traverse
:meanwhile:
“Are we seriously going to get out of here?” Asked Bluefire for the hundredth time.
Sapphire had stopped pacing and was now sitting quietly.
“Sis? Are we ever going to get out of here?”
“Bluefire, please be quiet for a second.”
“Why?”
“Just do it.”
“Fine.”
“Man, I missed you two fighting.”
“Mr. Rougestone!!” yelled Bluefire
“Shhhh!!” they both said
Rougestone had come thought one of the walls in Sapphire’s cage since the cages were made of stone and into the wall.
“I have to get you guys out of here, but I can’t take others with me through the wall. I can only manage myself.”
“Then how are we going to get out of here?” asked Bluefire
“Leaving so soon?”

“Oblivion.”
There was a moment of silence since it was Rougestone that addressed him.
“Ah, Rougestone. So it is you that was going to try and pull off this escape attempt.”
“Why wouldn’t I? They are like family to me. That can’t be said about you.”
“How do you know him?” Sapphire whispered to Rougestone.
“It’s a long story. I’ll tell you later. Right now, we have to get you two out of here.” he whispered back
She nodded and they turned to see Oblivion just sitting there, watching them.
“I really want to know how you plan on getting out of here.”
“You’ll see.” replied Rougestone

Rougestone then just walked through the cage like it was nothing and faced Oblivion. He left the two in their cages because that is where he felt that was the safest spot for them. They were in a large room, almost like the training room back at the temple.
*Oblivion is a young adult dragon that is older than Rougestone. He is mainly black with random areas of blue and purple on him. He is a little bit taller than Rougestone is.*
“Just like last time.” Oblivion said
“Yeah, only this time you won’t survive.”
“We shall see.” commented Oblivion
Rougestone made the first move by going underground. Copies started to rise up out of the ground.
“This again? I know better than last time Rouge.”
Oblivion moved fast and then struck the ground with his claws and grabbed Rougestone right out of the ground.
“If you are going to make copies, you’re staying above ground this time.” he said as he threw Rougestone into a wall.
“Then I will try something that you haven’t seen.”
Faster than Sapphire or Bluefire had ever seen him; Rougestone made a dome of earth over himself. Only there were spikes sticking out of this one. The spikes shot out at Oblivion and were quickly replaced by more spikes on the dome, these, in turn, also shot out.
“Come on! I know that you can do better, Rouge.”
Oblivion rushed the dome and shattered it before the next sets of spikes were created. He grabbed Rougestone again but as soon as he did, he disintegrated.
“Looking for me?” he asked from behind as he hurled a massive wall at Oblivion, hitting him and sending him across the room.
“I guess I underestimated you a little bit.” admitted Oblivion
“You don’t know the half of it. Your turn.”
“Fine, you want me to fight back? You got it.”

Without using any elements, Oblivion charged Rougestone. To try and slow him down, Rougestone made spikes come up in front of him. He just rammed through them without losing speed. At speeds that the siblings had never seen before, Oblivion started fighting Rougestone up close. Both were dodging and weaving while trying to find an opening in the other’s defense. Rougestone used his advantage of going underground but coming back up in another spot to attack Oblivion. This continued for a little while until they both hit each other at the same time and skidded back from each other.
“Well this is getting us no-where.” said Oblivion
“I agree. Let’s try something different.”
Rougestone fazed into the ground for a second time.
“Time for a little change in scenery” they heard from the ground
Sapphire and Bluefire had no idea what Rougestone was doing, and neither did Oblivion.
*to himself* “This ought to be interesting. I haven’t seen this yet”

All three of them felt the ground shake and split, and what looked like a mountain came out of the ground.
The top of the mountain was flat and it looked like there was a hole on the top. Sapphire figured out what it was and knew what was going to happen. The earth shook and something oozed out of the top of the mountain, it was a dark orange and red liquid. Then it started to get extremely hot in the room. Flaming fireballs started to be shot out of the volcano that Rougestone had created in the room. Magma, fire, and fireballs rained down all over the place. Once the volcano was spewing the magma and fire on its own, Rougestone came above ground…
“This is new, Rouge. You’ve been holding out on me.”
“Yeah, so what if I have? That means that you should have more fun fighting me then.”

Lol nice!!! BURN IN MY MAGMA!!!

With the volcano erupting, the two continued their fight. Rougestone now had a huge advantage over Oblivion since he couldn’t be burned by the magma…
“Come on Oblivion, I know that you want to use it.”
“Only if you want to die.”
“Come on, you know that you can’t beat me.”
“Don’t push me, Rouge.”
“I will if I want to. Come on, let’s see it.”
“Only since this is getting boring.”
Oblivion slammed into the ground and shook everything violently. The volcano was still bursting with magma when Oblivion summoned a giant creature out of the ground. He was so large that only his torso stuck out of the ground. The creature was made from the stone that the cave was made of. He largely resembled a golem. He crashed into the ceiling and caused the floor above to collapse. After the creature could freely move, it went after Rougestone.

“Nice work, Oblivion.” he said as he dodged one of its fist slams into the ground.
“It will keep you busy for a long time, Rouge. I hope you don’t get tired.”
“Don’t worry about me; I’d be more concerned about yourself.”
As soon as he said that, Oblivion, who was standing off to the side, was hit hard with a pillar that shot out of the wall. The pillar pinned him against the opposite wall and held him there to where he couldn’t move.
“More copies?!?! You really need to come up with something new.”
“That wasn’t a copy. It was me.” Rougestone said as he walked in.
“What the heck? You mean that…”
“Yes, you have been fighting a copy the entire time that you thought I was down here. That means that you weren’t fighting me at my best. As you can imagine, it takes a lot of power and concentration to control them.”
Since Rougestone had Oblivion pinned, he couldn’t focus on keeping the creature under his control and it started to go crazy.
The copy went over to the cages and bashed the gates to free Sapphire and Rougestone. As he did, he fell apart and became a part of the earth once more. The two siblings ran over to Rougestone…
“I think that thanks are best kept for later.” Rougestone said to them and they nodded. “Get Bluefire out of here while I finish this.” he then said to Sapphire.
She nodded and ran towards the exit with her brother.
“Are we going to finish this?” he yelled to Oblivion as he released the pillar from him
*the cave was still collapsing with the volcano still erupting and the creature going on a rampage*
“Let’s finish what we should have finished a long time ago!” he yelled as they both charged each other.

“He is coming. Don’t worry.”
They reached the outside and ran into Traverse…
“Who are you?” asked Bluefire “Hey! He’s smaller than me! Yay!”
“Who are you calling small? Is Rougestone done in there yet, or what?”
“How do you know Rougestone?”
“He got me away from my boring hive. You must be Bluefire and Sapphire.”
“And how do you know us?”
“It was a long flight and Rougestone started talking about you guys.”
They heard a loud boom and dust and smoke shot out of the cave right before the entrance collapsed.
“Rougestone!!” all three of them cried

Rougestone charged Oblivion as the two got out of the cave. They both hit each other with a loud crack! Rougestone started fighting up close to Oblivion with chaos erupting all around them…
“You’re not getting out of here alive, Rouge.”
“If that is true…then I am taking you with me.”
“Then so be it!”
Both of them started attacking each other and lightning speeds with each one blocking the other’s blows. Boulders started falling from the ceiling and crashing down to the floor. The only thing that Rougestone was focused on was defeating Oblivion. He paid no attention to anything else that was happening around him. Rougestone stepped back from Oblivion and grabbed two of the falling boulders and threw them at Oblivion. Oblivion dodged one but wasn’t fast enough to dodge the second one. He was thrown back and tumbled across the floor until he hit the wall. When he hit the wall, boulders were knocked from the roof and landed on him. Rougestone watched him get crushed and turned towards the exit just as it caved in.

Just as the three of them shouted, there was more rumbling and a small figure shot out of the sand.
“I swear, if you ever do that again, I’ll…I’ll…”
“You’ll what? Thank me for getting you out of there?”
“Yes!” exclaimed Bluefire
“Alright, we have to get back home. Your parents are probably worried sick.”
“That sounds like a good idea. Home sounds good right about now.” said Sapphire
“O, wait. We have to go back to Traverse’s hive to make sure that it is ok for him to stay with us.”
“Alright, I am not in the mood to argue.” answered Traverse
They all reached Traverse’s hive in no time. When they landed, they had their own little welcoming committee.
“You have done what you said you would, and we thank you for that!” Daryl said as he greeted them.
“We can’t stay very long because we have some other things that need to be done.” said Rougestone
“Well, if you must, you must. Let’s go Traverse.”
“Dad?”
“Yeah, son, what is it?”
“Can I go with them?”
Daryl gave Rougestone a look and he nodded to show that it was ok with him.
“Yes, you may. Just don’t forget about home.”
“I won’t! Thanks, dad!! Alright you said that we have to go due to some other things. Let’s go!”
“Alright, come on.” said Rougestone
“Hey Rougestone!”
“Yeah, Daryl?”
“Take good care of him!” he shouted as they all flew towards home.

They knew when they were close home when they could see the smoke that was left over from earlier. They slowly landed on what was left of the platform, and walked inside…
“Mom?! Dad?! We are back!” shouted Bluefire
“Thank the ancestors!” said Blackfire
“How’s Crystal?” asked Rougestone
“She will be fine, just a little banged up.”
“That is good to hear.”
“And who is this?” asked Blackfire
“My name is Traverse. I met Rougestone on his way to save them.”
“O, well you are welcome here.”
*to himself* “Why couldn’t he have just done that with me?” asked Rougestone
“Can we go see mom?” asked Bluefire
“Sure, you just can’t yell, Bluefire.”
“What? I won’t yell.” said Bluefire
“Good. Then let’s go.”
Blackfire escorted the group to where Crystal was resting.
“Are you ok, mom?” asked Sapphire
“Yeah, I am fine.” Crystal answered back “I should be up and around in no time.”
“That is great news.” said Rougestone
“Rougestone, thank you again.” said Crystal “I still don’t know how to thank you for all that you have done.”
“I told you before, no thanks are necessary.”
“You don’t get it, they are.” she replied
Sapphire spoke up
“Are you sure that you are ok, mom?”
“Yes, I just got a little beaten up. I haven’t had that much excitement in a very long time.”
“Mom?”
“Yeah?”
“You said that Rougestone deserves thanks.”
“Yes, of course he does, from all of us.”
Sapphire walked over to Rougestone.
“Thanks” she said as she kissed him in front of everyone, including Blackfire.

“Oooo, sis.” said Bluefire in an annoying way.
Blackfire just stood there, Traverse looked away, and Crystal just smiled.
“Thank you” she repeated and looked over at her mom.
“You’re welcome”
Blackfire still just stood there.
“Is it over?” asked Traverse
Rougestone just gave him a look.
“Well, now that that is out of the way, what now?” asked Crystal
Blackfire finally regained control of himself
“What do you mean, out of the way?! Crystal?!”
“We will talk about it later, Blackfire. Now, what I mean by ‘what now?’ is that I want to know and I am sure that your father wants to know as well who that dragon was.”
“You should ask Rougestone, he seemed to know him when they met earlier.” said Sapphire
“What can you tell us about him?” asked Blackfire. He was starting to calm down.
“I don’t know much about him ether. What I do know is that his name was Oblivion and I have run across him only twice in my life if you count today.”
“Why did it seem like he knew you so well?” asked Sapphire.
“Because I had to fight him the first time that we met.”
“Why?” asked Sapphire
“A while ago, I was in another village, and like this time, he was terrorizing the inhabitants. The villagers had me and some others go after him. We all fought him, but I was the only one to come back alive. We both survived and I haven’t seen him since. That is how he knew some of my moves.”
“O, so that explains how you know him.” said Crystal
“Yeah, I didn’t think that I was going to see him again.”
“You are all back, and that is all that matters.” said Crystal
“Yes, so now go get ready for bed so I can talk to Crystal.”
“Alright, I know that I am tired” said Bluefire
Rougestone, Traverse, Sapphire, and Bluefire all left Blackfire with Crystal.

“Why didn’t I know?”
“Because, look at the way you are acting. If I was Sapphire, I wouldn’t have told you ether.”
“The way I am acting? How am I acting?”
“Like that.” she answered
“I would like to know about these things. So what? Does Bluefire have a girlfriend too?” he said, now getting annoyed again.
“No, Bluefire does not have a girlfriend. I don’t know why you are getting so carried away with this.”
“I am her father; I am supposed to get carried away with stuff like this.”
“You need to calm down. You were his age at one point.”
“Yeah, so?”
“If you recall correctly, that is also when you met me and we didn’t turn out too badly.”
“That is what I don’t want to happen. She’s my girl.”
“You knew you were going to have to give her up at one point.”
“Yeah, you are right.”
“And besides, they are just kids now. You will get used to it.”
“Why do you seem to be the expert on this?”
“I am a mother; I’m supposed to know this stuff.”
“Right, I just need some time to calm down.” he said as he started leaving.
“Blackfire…”
“Yeah.”
“Leave the two of them alone unless they want you in their business.”
“Fine.” he said as he left the room.
