Well it showed a table full of the new guys oohing and aweing. they were watching a kid hover LCPB over the portal.

Hmm...maybe not that Bouncer (it's definitely the lighting) but...I can see them doing one for Ninjini. That different color we saw in her image gallery matches the color of the double trouble we see in the display case.

So "Royal Ninjini" and "Royal Double Trouble"?

I think it isn't an upgrade since we hadn't seen ANY skylander in SSA to change colors with upgrades nor have we yet to see one in the Giants gameplay of characters that we've seen

To be fair wideawakewesley has proven to have accurate insider information before.

I don't like the concept of royal skylanders but I believe it. They better not be in game variants do to this dispicale distribution pattern though.

If the information he supplied is accurate there will be a Royal Bouncer in one out of approximately every 25 cases. These forms of variants normally come in groups of threes indicating we might see Royal variants of the other two Giants in thhis wave also. If this is the case distribution of these variants will be have a Royal in roughly one out of approxiamtely one of every nine cases with a probable error for multiple selection in a sample pool.

The bottom line is odds will be much better of finding one then they were for silver and gold and slightly better than te odds for finding a GITD or ice variant.

The way information was supplied indicates that wideawakewesley may know a vendor with a royal bouncer in hand who found one in about 25 cases if this is the case the prior numbers presented are skewed and likely not accurate meaning royals could be as rare as gold or silver

The only indicator that this is bogus is that nothing has appeared on ebay. You would have to assume that in case variant would be assumed to be valuable by a scalper and thus on ebay within two minutes of IDing it for hundreds of dollars

edit: I've changed my mind on this with the high level of current in-store distribution already known there would have to be a distribution of one to about several hundred cases for it to still be a secret. Someone would have found one by now and placed on ebay. It sounds like someone somewhere is confused and may be passing out inaccurate information

All I know is the independent retailer in the UK informed me (via twitter) that the batch of Bouncer figures he is receiving will contain an assortment of regular, Legendary and Royal variants; and that Royal variants are 1 in every 50. In a further tweet, he stated that the iOS release will include a Royal Double Trouble.

I have no reason to doubt him, but his information could be inaccurate.

The Giant G is a common thing and simply a disclaimer for in-catalog. That's not actually on the box, simply in the catalog to denote the rating. G For General is basically E For Everyone in Australia.

As I started out the original post I am inclined to believe you based on previous experience. We know there are two Bouncer's to a case (at least for wave) inicating 50 Bouncers would be only 25 cases considering the company normally does variants distributed in this fashion in waves of three. If the static odds of just getting a Bouncer were really one in 25 cases tree distributed variants in this fashion would yield about one in nine cases popping up with error for multiple variants in a single case.

I am guessing your vendor is just estomating the 1 in 50 and may have only recieved one variant i about fifty boxes ordered. If the variant does exist he or they would have to very rare. We know that people at te store level ave already gone through cases. If it was a hig appearing variant it would have been discovered and someone would have already tried selling it as a rare one of a kind piece. These same scalpers selling giants now likely know about thhe brands history with case packed color variants and would likely be opening every single case in the backroom to find someting.

I believe your vendor thinks he has something if he does it is probably rarer than one in 50 Bouncers or even case packs.

Exclusives packed in consoles are the biggest FU to fans of the game that the exclusive is from. 95% of the fans will already have a console so it really only benefits the few that were thinking of buying a new console and the scalpers who will buy them up and sell off everything individually for a nice profit.

The only way this isn't a total screw job is if it is only a figure color variant and the in game remains the same, ala blue bash and the golds/silvers.

I agree completely, however I get the feeling that "Gnarly" here does have in-game uniqueness.
