Chapter 16.

Next day after the attack, things were already returning normal. All the fires had been put out, and only few lives were lost..

Spyro and Cynder wandered around the great hall, with Spyro finally feeling a little better, the two were able to focus on the little things in life. They even left the city at one point, and went on to explore the newly united world. They were both curious to see what had happened after Malefor's death..
Cynder focused on Spyro's oddly bright behavior. He was rarely this positive and open, it felt almost feinged, but she couldn't have known the truth..
Still, she was happy with the change, and wished it would always stay that way..

When they returned it was already dark, and the hall was empty. When Spyro and Cynder made their way to their chambers, they overheard the guardians talking in the back room.

"Are you saying it was a trap?.." Terrador's voice said.

Spyro and Cynder stopped on their tracks, and sneaked a little closer..

"I just want to express my concern about the fact. Either they're stupid or.." They heard Cyril's voice to say.

"Enough. All they wanted was to arouse chaos and fear among the people. In that, they succeeded.." Terrador said.

"Then why would they have attacked on the most guarded area of the city? They knew the fires would be stopped. It makes no sense.." Cyril said.

Spyro and Cynder looked at each other. In the dark, Cynder noticed that Spyro looked very concerned..

"Maybe they did so in purpose, so we would underestimate them.." Terrador said.

"No, it seems too obvious.. Maybe they just wanted to conceal their plans with the attack. To make a hole in our defences, or to spy on us.." Cyril said.

Spyro and Cynder didn't see the guardians, but they knew that Terrador turned his back at Cyril at this point..

"Wery well, I trust in your judgement. Keep an eye on Spyro and Cynder.." Terrador said.

"What will you do?" Cyril's voice asked.

"I must tighten the city defences. In any case, whatever it was that they wanted. We must prepare for another attack.." He answered.

Spyro and Cynder heard heavy slumbering steps, and knew Terrador left. They gave each other a last look before running back to their chambers..

Oh lawdy, I got my first fan PM today.

Yeah, I think I'll write more either today, or tomorrow, I'm not yet exactly sure about the next events of the story..

Okay, okay.. I bet you're already tired of hearing this, but I had schoolwork to do, as today too..

I can't promise more, than that I'll continue when I can.

It's hard to think of what will happen next, since the greatest antagonist is already dead..

I'll add more tomorrow, If I don't keep my promise, spam my PM inbox as much as you want..

I don't like putting my own characters into my fics. I know it sounds strange, but some people may want to see a story about "Spyro universe" as it was in the games, not "Samius's Spyro universe"..

Chapter 17.

Cynder and Spyro ran towards their chambers and tried to stay quiet. They knew they shouldn't have heard the guardian's conversation..
Once they reached their the hallway where their chambers were, they heard Terrador's steps in the hallway.

"How could he be so fast?.." Cynder whispered, "I can't reach my room without his seeing me, he's too close.."

"Here, come on.." Spyro whispered, grabbed Cynder's leg and pulled her into his room, witch was still out of Terrador's line of sight.

"Pretend you're asleep.." Spyro whispered, and they both laid down on Spyro's bed.

They heard the door squeaking, as Terrador checked Cynder's room. Unable to find Cynder in her own room, he then quickly stepped to Spyro's door..

A familiar squeek, the door opened, and Terrador quickly took a peek inside.
Seeing the both dragons asleep next to each other, Terrador sneered quietly, and shut the door..

Only when the sound of his steps got quieter, Spyro and Cynder dared to talk again..

"Whew, that was a close call.." Cynder said.

"Yeah, he almost got us.." Spyro said, and looked at Cynder.

They both started to laugh, it was a funny situation to be in..

"Let's talk more in the morining, okay? I'm kinda tired already.." Spyro stated suddenly.

"Oh, ok.." Cynder said, "Should I sleep here with you, in case they come to check on us again?.."

"Yeah, good point.." Spyro said, and tried to get some sleep. So did Cynder.

They both slept like little babies, as they had had a long day..

Spyro had a dream about Ember. He was standing in a middle of a path, with Ember on the other end, and Cynder on the other..
Spyro noticed Ember walking towards him, and with every step that she became closer, Cynder backed away from him..
Spyro didn't know if he should stay in his place or not, and begged Ember to stop moving..
But she didn't..
She walked all the way towards Spyro and grabbed his paw softly. Then she reached his ear and whispered...

"Who the heck is Ember!?" A loud female-voice startled Spyro and woke him up..

He was looking directly at Cynder, who was looking back at him. He had obvioulsy talked in his sleep, and Cynder had heard him..

"Wh.. What?.." Spyro asked. He was still a bit confused about what had happened.

"Ahh, nevermind.." Cynder said, "I'm going to get something to eat. Are you coming?.."

"It's morning already?.." Spyro asked.

"Yeah, genius." Cynder laughed and smiled, "I asked are you coming?.."

"Y.. Yeah.. Just hang on a second.." Spyro said.

"You wish." Cynder smiled, and walked off the room waving her tail end widely at the same time..

Spyro buried his head deep in to his pillow.

"Oh sweet Ancestors.."


More someday..

He obviously used the back-door..

I could write more now, If I come up with anything..
