Darakon latched onto the sound of their voices and silently teleported to a few metres behind them both. All that would be seen was purple flames going over his body and making him dissapear, and then he appeared amongst the shadows, with his body appearing under cover of darkness and remaining hiden, unseen by the others and silent.

"Hm." The Dryphon grunted, sounding ready to urge her further, but decided to let it slide. "Don't worry, I merely have the Darkness element, that's also why you can't see me despite the fact that I'm less than four meters away from you." She said, a large shadow sweeping under Alcaemas feet before Velia came infront of her. In her shadow form her size and shape were mostly unchanged, though she was of course completely black, and her form pulsed and flickered as if made out of dark flames, her glowing eyes the only thing that could make her distinguishable from the shadows around her.

She reverted back to normal, the black flames evaporating into nothingness. "Alright, Alcaema, I won't feign honesty and say I trust you, but you don't seem like an immediate threat either, I am Velia."

Alcaema looked at Velia, "Hi."

"Hello." She murmured back, her lack of social skills and lingering unease making her voice sound something between disinterested and annoyed, though she was actually feeling neither.

Trying again to actually sound somewhat reputable, she cleared her throat and flicked an ear, glancing behind herself. "I take you came in this general direction because you heard us all in the clearing, right?" She asked, her voice softer than before.

"Yeah, though big groups and sudden meetings are not my favorite things." Alcaema nodded.

Hearing this, Darakon sought to make himself even less visible, he didn't want to scare them off.

"Well, if no one cares, I'm going to set up camp a bit." Trydan said as he put a bookmark in the spell book he held. He then drew some runes in the ground. The runes started to glow as he finished them and for an instant a shimmery white dome appeared around them. It disappeared just as quickly as it had appeared. "There we go. That should keep the shadows out."

Darakon saw the light appear at the edge of the clearing, "Would that keep him out too?" he wondered to himself.

"Don't I know it." Velia remarked, flicking her tail. "Based on my impeccable social skills that I've demonstrated so far, I'm sure you can guess how well I do in a crowd." She half-joked.

"Nonetheless, even I can acknowledge the strength numbers bring, especially when I have something far more valuable than my own livelyhood to protect, so if you'd like to see them..." She offered.

(Everyone is relaxing after the battle, and Alcaema is starting to show herself.)

Alcaema's eyes focused on Poleire and his three friends; she somehow felt connected to them, "Well, it couldn't hurt." Alcaema stood up.

Velia nodded. "Alright then, come." She said, padding out toward the open part of the clearing, now in plain sight of the others.

Trydan looked over at the dryphon and saw the dragoness following her. He could sense what elements she was capable of and what elements sensed interested him. Alchemy. Interesting. I's been some time since I even heard rumors of dragons with that element. He thought keeping his eye on the Alcaema.

Alcaema followed, wary but curious.

Darakon let the fear wrap around him and used it as a shield when he teleported through the light shield, he felt himself being scorched with pain but showed no sign of it. Then he walked over to Alcaema, "Hi, I'm Darakon, what's your name?"

Darakon was aware of Shade's suspicious view of Darakon and frowned for a second before hiding it with the same smile from before.

Darakon whipped his head round to Shade, "If thats what you want to believe, then believe it, but I'm not like whateer dragon you think I am"]

(Whoa, didn't even give anyone else a chance to reply before this happens.)

"I'm Alcaema." The dragoness announced. She looked at Darakon, curious.

Avia padded up to Velia some time before Darakon and Shades confrontation, nuzzling her.

"Short recon, eh? Who's this?" Avia remarked, blinking at Alcaema.

"Alcaema, she seemed to be hanging around outside the clearing." Velia murmured, yawning.

"In that case, hello!" The white Dryphon said, smiling. "I'm Avia, Velias younger sister. Mustive been rough, being out there alone-" She paused when she took note of the discussion between the two males, frowning with an uncertain expression.

"I don't know, Shade, what real proof do we have of that? I mean he did get his leg messed up not even an hour ago..." She cut in, though her voice was hesitant unlike earlier. Velia just watched in silence.

"We should take a closer look at the situation." Navy commented.

"Yeah, Darakon, we haven't had this problem until you came along." Poleire replied.

Darakon looked Shade right in the eyes, "You have no proof, the tentacles attacked me the same as all of us and were even trapping me down on the ground, and then when the big shadow monster formed and sent down the chaos meteor, it damaged ME the most, what kind of idiot gets hurt the most by their own attack? And if I recall, you were the only one that the tentacles failed to attack in the first battle"

Darakon sprung up a wall of fear that blocked the light, "You don't know what you're doing Shade" he threatened

Darakon sdestepped, "Stop, please, stop, I don't want to fight you,"

Poleire frowned; not knowing if Darakon was a friend and should be helped, or if he was a foe and Shade should be helped.

Darakon teleported to the other side of the clearing, "Don't do this Shade!" he yelled, getting angry.

Trydan raised an eyebrow as the wave of light flowed over him. "There's a way to resolve this with out a blatant show of extreme power." Trydan said.

"Do tell." Navy asked.

"Yeah, the last thing we need is a traitor in our midst." Flasheris replied.

"Well for one thing, Evil doesn't forgive." Trydan said as if it explained everything.

"Wait a second," Flasheris frowned at Shade, "I do recall you saying that we could be corrupt and still have light."

"I wasn't talking about you." Trydan said "I'm not a novice. I was talking about the root of all this. The thing that started this corruption. Evil will not forgive. It can't. It will manipulate until yoiu think you have been forgiven, but it never will truly forgive someone or something. And what I can tell from the residual energy from the shadows,and there's not enough of that to tell for sure, they were very angry at something. And not us for attacking it but something betraying it."

"And here we come to the second reason we don't need to shed his blood.." Trydan said. "Can you read the ancient tongue?" He tossed the white book he had held before setting up camp. "Also, I don't think he meant to say that you were corrupted. Just pointing out a fact."

Alcaema watched the discussion curiously, "Even if he is corrupted, isn't there a way to remove it?"

(I sense some misunderstanding here. I'm pretty sure Trydan didn't say Darakon wasn't corrupted only that Shade wasn't. But I guess he wasn't very clear on that.)
"That's what's in the book." Trydan said catching the book. "A long time ago, some dragons researched the effect darkness and other forms of evil had on dragons. It wasn't a very humane study but very informative."

Darakon blocked the light attack with his shadow element, then turned, "You're right they were angry at something,"

"But what, or who?" Poleire asked.

"Someone must have done something disagreeable." Valley said.

"Theyy were betrayed,"

"The question is who." Trydan said. "The answer is pretty obvious."
