"He's outside. It wouldn't take much for him to bust down that door. I'm going to have to risk a fight with him." Kayden sighs.

"I'm not sure how much help I'll be, but I can try to assist you" Jake offers

Kayden shakes his head, yellow eyes showing lots of fear.
"No. You don't understand. He could KILL you in one blow."

"... Oh. Nevermind then. I'll be rooting for you from inside the home!" Jake says with a nervous chuckle

Kayden nodded quietly. His whole body trembled with fear as he stood up and left the room.

"Good luck!!" Jake called out, watchign Kayden exit the room.

Kayden breath came out in quick breaths as he reached the door and turned the handle, opening it to face the giant towering above him from outside the door.
"I'm right here Markus."

Markus grabbed Kayden by the collar and thrust him to the ground, knocking all the breath from Kayden's lungs.
"Do you know how long you have been standing around doing nothing?" he growls.

"An hour-" Kayden barely speaks before his jaw snaps from a blow from Markus' fist.

"Try again."

Kayden whimpered softly.

Jake stares out the window, watching Kayden get bullied by Markus. "At least he has 7 lives..." He said, worried about Kayden

Kayden's frail hands shot up to protect his face from another blow from Markus' his wrist snapping, the loud cracking of shattered bones echoing around. Kayden cried in pain, face contorted, curling up in a protective ball as he received a hard kick to his side.

"We are supposed to be constantly moving as black cats of Karma. What a disgrace you are to be hanging around here making friends with mortals." Markus seethed, hissing through sharp fangs.

Jake frowns. "He helped Sachi. I gotta help him" he muttered to himself. He ran to the front door and stepped outside, his body trembling in fear.

"Oh...? Are you going to try and stop him boy?" purred a feminine voice, a black cat with one purple ear and one blue ear blinked up at him. Her violet eyes shimmered sinisterly and the red scarf around her neck danced in the wind. She had been in mid run at Markus, but had halted as Jake appeared. "Why, you're trembling all over." she purred.

"Sh-shut up... I need to h-help Kayden..." Jake said, trying his hardest to compose himself

The cat purred with laughter.
"Okay boy. Go ahead. I'll watch your bones snap." she smiles, sharp fangs glinting.

"A-at least I can go to heaven..." Jake whispers, beginning to walk towards Markus and Kayden

The cat twitches her tail methodically and purrs softly in entertainment, watching Jake the whole way.

Kayden's eyes widen at the sight of Jake and he tries to wave Jake off.

Markus catches the gesture and whips around to face Jake.
"What? You want to get beaten up too?" he snarls.

"I'm h-here to help Kayden" Jake says, trying to sound intimidating.

Markus laughed for a long time at Jake's reply, turning away from Kayden. He raised his fists.
"Just try."

"U-um.." Jake began to shuffle closer to Markus, fearfully holding up his fists

Markus feigned a punch and threw his knee into Jake's stomach.

Jake fell to the ground in pain, letting out a few whimpers as he came crashing down.

Markus immediately began swinging punches.

The blue and purple eared cat's hackles rose as she hid in the shadows, ready to attack Markus seeing as Jake's attempt had been futile and pointless.

Jake curled up into a ball, trying to defend himself

There was a hiss of warning and the black cat leaped from the shadows, digging in her needle-like claws into Markus' flesh.

Markus snarled in pain and flung the cat off, morphing into an all muscle black cat covered in battle scars. He lashed his tail back and forth furiously, eyes alight with fury.

The purple and blue eared cat twitched her ears in interest, tail sweeping methodically along the ground in patience.

Jake looked up and watched as the blue and purple-eared cat attacked Markus

Markus lunged at the purple and blue eared cat, lashing out with clumsy paws and sharp claws.

The other cat ducked and kicked out with surprisingly strong hind legs, sending Markus tumbling away, one claw nicking her tail as it swept out of the way.
"Can't hit me?" she teased.

Jake tried to get up to his feet, but was unable to move.

The blueish-purple eared cat tumbled aside as Markus lunged again. She ducked and sunk her needle sharp teeth into Markus' neck and threw him down harshly. There was a crunching sound and Markus lay limp for a few seconds before twitching back to consciousness. He hissed at the female cat and turned tail, running off.

The cat morphed into her human form. She was a very tall girl with long black hair that fell past her shoulder blades to her low back. There were soft violet highlights in her black hair that accented it perfectly, and her eyes were two different colors. One deep ocean blue, the other a dark twilight violet. She wore a long light blue jean jacket over a plain white shirt along with tight black jeans. Long black combat boots went to just under her knees, and she wore a silver star on a necklace around her pale throat where her red scarf curled around, dancing in the breeze.

"Woah" Jake whispered faintly under his breath as he looked at the girl.

The girl looks at Jake and holds her hand out to him. It was slightly cold to touch.
"Can you stand? The name's Jinx." she smiles.

"Barely" Jake says, grabbing Jinx's hand. "Thank you for your help"

Jinx laughed softly, her eyes sparkling.
"It's not a problem." she smiles.

She was a little bit taller than Jake, but not by much. Only about a head.

Jake was captivated by Jinx. "Did you say something?"

Jinx laughed again.
"No. It's nothing." She replied.

Jinx walks to Kayden, who is lying painfully on his back, cradling his broken arm to his chest.

"I'll get up eventually, Jinx. Just get Jake into the house. He needs attention more than me." Kayden murmurs painfully.

Jinx nods. She turns back to Jake.
"You can walk? I don't have to carry you, right?" she inquires.

"I can walk, though I could use some added support" Jake says

Jinx smiled softly.
"Alright." she says.

Jinx walks over to Jake, putting his right arm across her thin but muscular shoulders. She lifted him slightly to help take some of the weight off of his feet. She smelled slightly of lavender from the flowers that she enjoyed napping in when she was tired.

Jake took a deep breath and smelled a small whiff of lavender. "Heh... You smell nice.." Jake chuckles

Jinx looked at him, blinking her violet and blue eyes. Her cheeks were slightly red in embarrassment.
"Sorry. I sleep in the lavender flowers all the time. T-the scent rubs off." she stuttered softly.

"It does" Jake smiles

Jinx looks away from Jake, her cheeks reddening. She couldn't tell if Jake was just sleepy or if he was flirting with her.

"Something wrong?" Jake asks

"No, Everything is fine." Jinx sighs. She looks at Jake again, hints of red still visible in her pale cheeks.

She helps Jake into the house and helps him sit down on the couch.

Sachi runs to Jake as Jinx heads out to get Kayden.

"Are you okay Jake?" she asks, her blue eyes wide in worry. "That boy beat you really bad. And with your already shattered wing too..."

"I was just trying to help Kayden..." Jake says, with a small sigh of pain.

Sachi nods.
"Yeah. I know..." she says softly.

Jinx returns and leans Kayden back against the back of the other chair, standing up and placing her hands on her hips.
"Alright." she says.

Ada looks at Kayden and Jake, shaking her head.
"You two." she frowns.

"They're a bunch of troublemakers huh?" Jinx laughs, one of her thin hands raising to cover her mouth as she smiled and laughed. She had always been a little self-conscious of her smile even though she knew there was nothing wrong with it.

"Why do you cover your smile?" Jake asked.

"Huh?" Jinx says in surprise, startled by Jake's sudden comment. She blinked softly, and her cheeks turned deep red. "I've just always been self-conscious of it." she says quietly.

"Why?" Jake asked

Jinx shook her head gently, bangs falling over her eyes.
"I'm not quite sure. I just am I guess." she replies. "I'm going for a walk." she states suddenly and walks out the door.

"Okay" Jake says

Lia sits with Xander

Xander coughs from his racking illness, leaning against Lia's shoulder. He felt light-headed, but was trying valiantly not to pass out.

Serge walks, or more so limps, with Badru and Jay. His chest hurt miserably and he felt the heat of pain rush through him.

Jinx walks around for a little while before sitting outside the house. The skies were starting to turn dark as dusk began to set in, and she watched the stars as the began to twinkle in the inky black of night.
"Was Jake flirting with me? He was acting so odd. I've never had a lover before. I'm always on the move..." she contemplated.

Lia hugs Xander "I love you" she whispered to him, softly.

Jay looks to Serge and sees a look of pain across his face. A worried look came upon her face as she looked over him. "Do you need any help walking?" She asks, hoping to help Serge in anyway.

Jake sat with Sachi.
