I saw a theory about her execution
Since Taeko wanted to be seen as "upper class" and a person of a higher standard, she wanted to die in an interesting way
Thus, burning at the stake.
This is an unique way of dying now a days and shows how she was different from everyone else
However, that is then shattered when the firetruck comes at her and kills her
She was killed by being hit by a car
the death of a commoner
