Quietfire walked up to Fireflight.
"your worried. i can tell. its the kids, isn't it?"
"is it that obvious?" she asked, as he sat down beside her.
"it is for me. i know you Fireflight, your a mother whos worried about her kids. your worried that you won't be able to stop the gas, and that the kids will die. right?"
"you know me too well, Quietfire...." she said, looking away. he looked at her.
"i'm your husband, i'm suppose to know these things. they'll be fine"
"you don't know that......Silro and Cynder went to the future....everyone was dead....."
"it doesn't mean we can give up hope"
"who says we had hope to begin with?" she asked. then she went to her room.

Cynder walked up to Quietfire.
'Is she alright?'

Quietfire looked at her.
"she'll come around. shes worried because we're dealing with something she may not be able to defeat, and shes worried about the kids. she just needs some encouragement...." he said.

'Well.........if Silro or Icefire wakes up, we could get something.........but..............im worried about him.....'

"yeah....and i'm a little worried about Fireflight...shes never looked so defeated......she seems to have given up hope...but i won't let that happen....i know she wouldn't give up without a fight....i just need to remind her that....."

'But you cant, unless we find away to stop this fog, theres nothing we can do to help her.'

"i can t least try to give her hope. shes just acting like a worried mother. i just need to find a way, to get her back to her old fighting self again..."

'Listen, im worried about her too. Im worried for everyone. Seeing them dead and realising you only have a week to save everyone is worrying. But what im worried about, is what Icefire and Silro will be like. I mean, together alone, then they'll be fine, but with me and Spyro, it could be a disaster.....'

"thats true.......but don't worry...me and Fireflight will keep them from trying to do anything to you....after all, she did save both of them..."

'Im still worried....'
'You dont have to be' Said a female voice from behind.

Quietfire looked to see who it was.

Cynder turned to see Icefire. She was weak, but she could aat least stand.
'Icefire....i thought you were...'
'Passed out? I was. But you dont need to worry, just because we had well, i wouldnt call them misshaps, but anyway, dont let the past affect this. In a week if we dont do anything or argue over the past, or worse, fight about it, the bottom line, is that we get slowley and painfully killed.'
'So, we're ok now?'
'Oh no, i still hate what you did, especially what Spyro did...'
'Hehe...' Cynder grinned nervously.
'But at the minuet we all need each other. I'd rather work with you guys to save Silro than to die a slow and painful death.'

" well then, with that said, lets find a way to live. we need to stop whoever unleashed this gas"

'Or whatever did.'
'Exactly' Cynder finished off.
'But, not now, its getting dark.....maybe we should rest, then we have all day tommorow to work it out.'

"good idea" he said. the he went to put the kids to bed. then he went to bed. Fireflight had already gone to sleep, but she was having nightmares of the kids dying.

'Your being extremly nice Icefire.' Cynder said.
'Hehe, Dont push your luck.' Icefire said sternly before leaving. Cynder curled up and slowley drifted off to sleep.

Quietfire and the kids were asleep. Fireflight was sleeping, but she was still having nightmares.

Cynder was in a dark place. She saw Spyro and ran over to him. The purple fog then appeared around them. She tried to use a breath on it, but nothing. Her powers were only making it worse.
'Spyro what do we do?!! Spyro? Spyro?!!' She looked around to see him killed. She then looked around as the gas went all around her. She tried not to breath in but couldnt hold it. She then began her torture. She then heard someone. She then realised it was Icefire.
'Cynder?' Cynder couldnt speak.
'Cyynder?' Icefire said. Cynder couldnt keep her eyes open anymore.
'CYNDER!' Shocked, Cnder woke up. She was panting as she looked at Icefire.
'Wha..Whats wrong? Is there gas?!!'
'No, just messing with your dreams.' She laughed as she walked off.

Fireflight was also dreaming..........
"mom!! help!!" yelled Starfire. Fireflight ran over to her, but she was surrounded by the gas.
"No!!!!!!" she yelled, as she ran over to her. she went close to the gas, and grabbed Starfire. she then tried to fly off with her, but the gas has hurt her. she looked at Starfire, it had gotten her too. Fireflight tried to heal her, but it didn't work. then she suddenly woke up. she looked around.
"it was jsut a dream........" she said. then she went back to sleep.

Cynder soon got up feeling tired. She walked around and found Spyro.
'Oh hey! Your up!'
'After a night of torture.' She said feeling down.
'Oh, you had a bad night aswell.'
'Hmm?'
'Yeah, everyone can tell Fireflight is having one. Probably about her kids.'
'No doubt. hey, do you know Icefire woke up yesterday?'
'Of course i do, when she opened her eyes she grabbed hold of me by the neck, then i said about the situation and she let go.' Cynder looked and saw a faint red mark on his neck.
'I was wondering bout that, but anyway, dont you think she's being nice?'
'Well, yeah......she knows she has to keep calm to save Silro from the gas.' Icefire walked into the room silently without letting the other two know. She walked over and started to drink some water.
'Yeah, but, dont you think she's being a bit too nice?' Icefire then heard what they were talking about.
'What? Cant a girl be nice to her enemies? Or is that not right?' The two were shocked at hearing her.

Fireflight went back to sleep, but she kept having nightmares. she screamed in her sleep, ad then Quietfire came running in. he woek her up.
"Firelfight! its just a dream!" he said. she looked at him.
"Quietfire! i can't sleep...........i keep seeing her.........the gas kills her........and theres nothing i can do about it........" she said. there was a look of fear in her eyes. Quietfire knew now, that he couldn't calm her down.

Cynder heard the scream and ran into the room aswell.
'Fireflight! Are you alright?'

Quietfire looked at her. then he looked back at Fireflight. she layed down. then he walked over to Cynder.
"shes having nightmares about Starfire dying. i saw that look in her eyes........." he said. then he looked at Fireflight. he looked back at Cynder. "..........we can't help her now.........i've never seen her more scared in her life........its not just the gas that terrifies her.......its the fact that it could easily kill Starfire......and theres nothing she can do to stop it..."

'Oh no........Fireflight.......I know yore scared, and beleive me, i am too, but we're going to get through this and stop the gas from killing you or Starfire, but we need you to help us, and the only way at the minuet is to calm down. Calm down and we can stop this...'

Fireflight looked at her. there was a look of fear in her eyes. Quietfire looked at Fireflight, with worried eyes. Fireflight looked at Cynder.
"..........i saw her killed by the gas..........i couldn't help her.......i couldn't stop the gas.........i couldn't save her........i couldn't even heal her.......i died trying to save her, and she died too........" she cried. Quietfire saw how scared she was. he had never seen her look like that before.

'Fireflight.......do you want to stop that from happening?'

she looked away. "..............i...........can't............i can't stop it..........thats why it killed her.........it killed both of us........even in the future........my dream comes true in the future........i can't stop the gas..........." she cried. Quietfire looked at her.
"Fireflight.......this isn't you.....i know who you are...and this isn't it.....your a prideful fighter......a powerful dragon......you can stop if if you try....." he said. she looked at him.
".........i did try.......and i failed........i lost her once......and it'll happen again...."

'Fireflight, i wouldnt let the gas attack you or Starfire. I'd even risk my own life to save you both! Dont worry about it so much, you'll just end up being killed yourself because you never prepared cause you were scared so much.'

Quietfire looked at Cynder. "she'll also end up killing herslef with the emotions. she is an empath. her emotions can kill her, if they take her over" he said worridly. Fireflight looked at them.
"if you risk your life to save us........then you'll be dead.....and then it'll come after us......and we'll be next......we're all dead no matter what we do....." she cried.

'Fireflight, listen, we all dread the gas, and i know its hard for you being a mother and worrying, but listen, no ones going to do anything to Starfire, nothing will hurt her and the gas wont get her either, and i'll do anything, i promise you. Now please, for me, calm down, there's nothing to worry about.' Cynder said, laying down next to Fireflight.

Quietfire looked at Fireflight. she started to glow blue.
"Cynder! back away slowly. her emotions are starting to take over. shes letting her sadness affect her" he said. Fireflight looked away.

'Fireflight, please dont do this, i know its hard, but letting this happen wont do any good. You'll fly off somewhere and you could either be killed by the fog if it was approching, or you could never see Starfire again.'

Fireflight looked away. she was still glowing blue. Starfire walked by, and saw her.
"Mommy, whats wrong?" she asked. Fireflight saw her. she got walked over to her, and hugged her.
"i'm fine, Starfire" she said. then she stopped glowing.

Cynder then dicided to leave her.

Quietfire went to look in the vision pool. Firelfight layed down with Starfire, and they slept together.

'Anymore information, Quietfire?' Spyro asked as he went into the vision pool room.

"no.....i can't find anything.......its as if it doesn't exist...." he said. Fireflight was sleeping with Starfire, and she wasn't having nightmares.

'Are you sure? Come on, there has to be something....'

"well then, you look. i can't find anything...." he said. then he saw something. "never mind......i think i just found something....." he said. then he saw a large black and blood red male dragon. he saw the dragon. then he figured out his name. "Warkill........theres a black and blood red dragon named, Warkill..." he said.

'Warkill.....Whats that got to do with our problem?'

"i'm not sure......maybe hes the one that unleashes this gas.....i know where he lives....we'll have to go to him to find out...."

Spyro was just about to leave when Icefire then burst through the door. She was panting and scared.
'Gas! The gas is back!! Darknexus! He's been doing this!!' She said before fainting.

Quietfire ran off tofind Fireflight and the kids, but he didn't see them. Fireflight grabbed the kids and came up from behind him.
"we have to go! now!!" she yelled. then she left. Quietfire looked around for the others, to make sure they were ok.

Spyro flew and told Cynder who quickly left with Spyro and flew away. She then realised she had left Icefire and Silro behind. She then turned to get them. Before she flew off, Spyro grabbed her.
'What are you doing?!'
'We left Icefire and Silro behind!!' She then saw the fog completely cover the temple.

Quietfire was still inside looking for the others. he saw Silro and Icefire, he grabbed them and quickly got them out of there. he got them out of the temple, but the gas had gotten to him.

Icefire woke up and went back in. The gas didnt seem to affect her. She walked over to Quietfire and smiled.
'And now you begin your torture!'

he looked at her. "what?..............why.....doesn't it......affect you?........" he asked.

i have to go, bye.

Icefire picked up his head.
'For one reason i bet your dying to know.' She said, droping his head and walking off.

he looked at her. then he used telepathy to talk toFireflight.
"Fireflight! its Icefire.........shes immune to the gas..........shes leaving me here yo die..........she might be the one who unleashed it!.........stop her....before she kills someone else........" he said. then before he couls say anything else, he dropped his head, and closed his eyes.
Fireflight had gotten the message. she knew that she couldn't save him.
"i will avenge your death Quietfire! if shes the one who unleashes this gas on us, then shes going down!!" she growled. then her eyes glowed red.
