Chapter 38: Spyro's Secrets

"Spyro just tell me!" Cynder yelled. Spyro looked directly at Cynder in anger. "I can't... I just can't loose-" Spyro said before he was interuptted. "Loose what? The chanse the be the ulmighty overlord of this world? Well Im sorry, but you've already taken that possition!" Cynder yelled. Spyro shook his head. "No... No I can't loose you!" He yelled. "I don't want to... Your stronger than me, you can cope but Im not. I can't loose you again. I can't be alone, not again." He yelled. Cynder began to realise that Spyro was changing, but was it changing for the better or the worse. Cynder walked up to Spyro. "Your not alone, you never will be." Cynder said. Spyro quickly turned around and held Cynder up on the wall again. "Perfect, just what I need." Spyro said. Cynder knew it, she knew it was to good to be true.

Spyro attached a chain to her neck and dragged her along. "Spyro! What are you doing! Where are we going!" She yelled trying to get off the ground. "You will show me where you arrived in the temple." Spyro yelled. Cynder had a bad feeling. She knew Spyro was trying to get back but she didn't know what he would do when he got there. Spyro looked down at her in anger. Cynder ws stll shaking at the shock of when Spyro grabbed her and pushed her against the wall. "Go through to the sleeping chamber." She said with a sickly voice. Spyro pulled her along once more. Cynder looked at Spyro. She didn't trust him, she didn't want to have anything to do with him anymore. There was a doorway to the left of the sleeping chamber. Cynder tugged on the chain towards the right dirction to go.

After walking through many doors and many other tunnels they finaly made it to the room that Cynder arrived in. A large blue and black vortex swirled around in the middle of the wall on the far side of the room. "Well done Cynder. But now you taks is compleat, you are no longer needed..." Spyro said. Cynder looked confused. Spyro grabbed the end of Cynders chain and locked it onto a steel bar next to the door. "Wait! What are you doing!" Cynder yelled. Spyro began to laugh. "Good luck Cynder." Spyro said with a sly tone in his voice. Cynder looked at him in anger. "No! Spyro come back!" She yelled as he walked through the portal. As soon as he left Cynder did everything she could to free herslef from the chain, it was no use. She had to break free thoe, if she didn't then for all she knew there would be no chance of stopping Spyro.

Chapter 39: Echo Of Darkness

Cynder tunred her head around to the bar that her chain was attached to. She tryed everything to pull it. She could see the chain was weack but she didn't know how weak. She didn't know how long it would take. But never the less she still tryed. She stopped for a moment and sighed. "If only Spyo were here..." She whispered to herself. She lifted her head and began to pull. 'Oh but I am...' A voice echoed behind her. Cynder turned her head to see Spyro. Or, what was left of Spyro. All that remained was a shaowy figure of Spyro when he hadn't turned evil. He began to walk closer to her. "Spyro! What? How!" She yelled. Spyro shook his head and grapped hold of the chain. He pulled as hard as he could. Cynder pulled with him to help. 'Cynder, I have never done anything right. Not for you, not for the other, not for anyone.' His voice echoed. Cynder looked confused.

"No... What are you saying!" Cynder yelled. Spyro shook his head. 'What I mean is that I can do this for you, but you need to do something for me.' He said. Cynder shook her head. 'I want you to kill him. Kill the other me...' Spyro whispered. Cynder shook her head. "No! But he's still you, what will happen to you!" Cynder yelled. Spyro shook his head. 'Just trust me Cynder! No harm will come to you, I promise.' He said. With that the chain snapped from the wall. Cynder turned her head to Spyro but as she did he faded away into nothing. "Spyro! Spyro!" She yelled. She lowered her head to the floor as he faded into nothing. 'Rember Cynder. He is an echo, an echo of my darkness.' His voice said. There was a long silence as Cynder lifted her head. She walked towards the vortex.

'This is for you Spyro...' She thought to herself. As she jumped through the Vortex. She slowly opened her eyes and looked around where she was. It was dark and cold. All she could see was a small light above her. She began to fly up towards the light as it grew bigger and bigger. She found herself back in the mountain but there was no Spyro. She flew higher and higher untill she reached the top of the mountain and through its large claw like top. She looked around at the ground below her. A large black creature flew across the night skies. "Spyro..." She whispered to herself. The trees around the mountain burnt a blazing red as it spread out through the forest. She flew forwards as fast as she could trying not to be seen. Suddenly behind her a group of Shadow chased her. She couldn't stop now, if she did then who knows what would happen.

Chapter 40: Awakening Of The End

Cynder couldn't fly for much longer. She was getting tierd and there was no where to land. All of the grass and tress where burning and she dare not go to the temple. It would be the first place Spyro would go looking for her. She quickly turned around and looked at the shadow behind her. They were gaining on her. She turned her head and used her fear breath on them. They stopped and froze where they were. This gave Cynder more time to get away, and more importantly more time to find a safe place to go. Suddenly there was a large explosion from the temple as the glass roof of the dojo smashed to peices sending shards of glass out in all directions. Cynde turned around away from the explosion. But infront of her was Spyro. "You! How did you get back!" He yelled in anger. Cynder looked up at him in anger.

"A little help! From you!" She yelled. Spyro turned his head and flew back to the mountain. Cynder didn't know why she felt afrade. She had known it all along but never realised it. Spyro didn't want to kill her, he didn't want to be alone, he wasn't pretending earlier on he was just looking for an opourtunity. Cynder didn't know what to do, she couldn't folow him but then again she needed to, it was the only way she could stop this from happening. She slowly folowed Spyro without trying to be seen. She didn't want him to know. She looked in the distance as Spyro ducked his head into the top of the mountain. She didn't know what he was going to do, but what ever it was she had a plan to stop it. She needed to lure the shadows into the mountain with her. Without them her plan would be a compleate waist.

Cynder purched herself on the edge of the mountain looking down at Spyro. He didn't notise her as he began to walk towards the centre of the room. He closed his eyes and began to speak. Cynder couldn't hear what he was saying but when he had finished a large dark red light came through the hole in the ground. The ground around it split creating a large crack on the floor of the mountain. The light spread in the crack as it grew large and spread across the mountain spliting it in half with a beam of light running through it. It spread across the land outside the mountain into the forests surrounding it. Cynder shook her head. "No... No, not again..." She whispered. She couldn't stop this, only Spyro could and she knew that he knew it. She needed to wait, but what if she was too late. What if she couldn't wait much longer.

Chapter 41: The True Shadows

Cynder couldn't help herslef. She couldn't stand and watch as Spyro braught about the end of the world. So many people had died that day and she wasn't going to let it happen again. No more would die in that day. "Spyro stop!" Cynder yelled. Spyro looked up at her with a grin on his face. "Welcome my freind, please come down from there. Come to me and whitness the beginning of a new world!" Spyro yelled. Cynder shook her head as she hovered down. "No... No Spyro! You can't! You won't!" She yelled to him. She landed on the ground infront of him. "Oh, but I already have Cynder and you can't stop me." He said. Cynder shook her head. "Your right, I can't stop you. I've failed and nothing I do can stop that." Cynder said lowering her head.

"Then join me Cynder, live with me for all eternity! Both of us, together, the dark rules of this world... Join me Cynder..." Spyro said. Cynder heard his voice over and over again in her head. She closed her eyes, and lowered her head. 'Cynder... Do not be distracted by this Spyro... Think of the good within him Spyro, think of me and I will be with you always...' The voice of Spyro echoed in her head. Cynder opened her eyes and shook her head. 'I know what to do... I know how to stop this...' She thought to herself. Spyro looked down at Cynder with a grin on his face. "Come now Cynder, you don't make me wait..." He said impatiently. Cynder shook her head. Cynder looked up at the sky. There was nothing, just the black night sky. She needed the shadows to come, she needed them to come other wise it would be all over.

She shook her head and walked closer to Spyro. He grinned as he looked down at her. "Yes... Thats it Cynder! Together we will make a new world and you will have a part of it. You shall be feared by all, Cynder the mighty Dragon. By my side..." Spyro said. Cynder had to wait, she had to stall time for the shadows to return back to the mountain. She constantly looked at the top of the mountain waiting. She walked closer to Spyro nerviously. Suddenly from above them the shadows came through the top of the mountain. "Master! The female! She-" One of the the Shadows yelled before they realised that Cynder was standing infront os Spyro walking closer to him. Cynder turned her head to the group of Shadows. She grinned to them and turned her head back to Spyro. Cynder's plan was coming into position. She knew what she needed to do and she just knew how.

Chapter 42: The Dark Secret

Spyro looked at Cynder confused. "What are you waiting for?" Spryo asked worridly. He didn't know what to think, he was confused. He felt like he was missing something. Something important. "Spyro... Im waiting for the right time... And now is not the time." She said with a smile on her face. "Spyro, what have you wanted most? You've wanted to live in peace, to forget about all of this darkness and evil. What if I could make that for you..." Cynder said. Spyro looked at her confused. She turned around to the Shadows hovering above them and closed her eyes. Suddenly a blinding light appeared where the shadows were. "What are you doing!" Spyro yelled. "What is this!" Cynder began to glow white as the light faded from the Shadows. In there place were a group of ghostly figures. Spyro shook his head as he looked at them. "What! What have you done!" He yelled.

"Spyro... Havn't you always wanted to know who they were, your mother and father? Our mother and father? They would have wanted to see you Spyro. But if only I hadn't killed them!" She yelled. Spyro looked down at Cynder in anger. "What! When!" Spyro yelled in anger. "When I was younger, before I knew you and before I knew anything about the outside world. All I knew was this mountain, this fortress." She said. Spyro shook his head. Suddenly the light from Cynder began to shine brighter as she hovered in the air next to the Dragons. "Spyro..." She said in a strange voice. The Dragons were talking to Spyro through Cynder. "Spyro don't do this... We always feared this... But you can do us proud again..." She continued. Spyro looked up at the group of Shadows. "What... What do you mean..." He said. Suddenly he began to feel a pain on the right side of his face. He looked at his right from leg and notised that it was turnin from the pitch black colour to a light purple.

"No! No you will not stop me!" He said covering the right side of his face with his claws. "You had been tricked Spyro... Tricked by Convexity... He didn't tell you what we were... He knew all along..." She continued. "No!" Spyro yelled in anger as he scratched the right side of his face causing the scales to be ripped from his skin. "You will not stop me!" He yelled. Cynder shook her head still with the shadows talking through her. "Spyro... Please don't..." She said again. Suddenly a large group of ghostly Dragons came from the top of the mountain and surrounded Spyro. Cynder landed to the floor with her eyes closed as she walked to Spyro. "Spyro... Only you can stop this... If you don't its the end of everything..." Cynder said with the voice of a thousand Dragons echoing in hers.

Note: The Dragon that was talking through Cynder first was Polexyna from the Darkness Of Cynder fanfic and the others were all of the Dragons that have ever been killed. Both Malefors, the other Cynder, Spyro's mother and Father, Violet (The Darkness Of Malefor) all of the Guardians from The Darkness Of Malefor (Apart for Spyridon AKA the Chroniclor) the 10 purple Dragons from Death Of The Dragons, all of the Dragons from The Dragon Wars (after all that was set like over a thousand years before this) and finaly Spyro... The good Spyro...

Okay, dead people altough it's scary on how I picture it on my my head.

How do you picture it then?

Dark place, ghostly dragons, Spyro yelling in pain, Cynder in a bright light pretty much like that.

Yeah, thats just about it I tryed to make it more emotional and scary by adding the bit with Spyro ripping his own Scales off, he just didn't want to face being good again... But can he stop it?...

Okay...he can stop it! And when I imagined Spyro ripping his scales off, it was as freaky as the Destroyer's image coming to Spyro's eyes and Malefor's scary voice(which is true).

YES MY TASK IS COMPLEATE! I have gone where no one has ever gone before! I have officialy made my fanfic more Epic than DOTD! (JK!)

But the Destroyer on Spyro's eyes pwns and...I guess Malefor's voice. Yeah, his voice is way more epic. Can you beat that?

Um, urr... Ur... Maybe... I do have to admit thoes two bits were way more epic than anything I could imagain, but I have a plan... Something that sierra never would have thought of...

Chapter 43: Dawn Of The Legend

"No! This can't be happening! This isn't happening!" Spyro yelled. Cynder walked closer to him as he shook his head dissmissing what was happening. "Beleve us Spyro, it is..." Cynder echoed. Spyro shook his head. "No! It can't happen! It will remain like this for all eternity and you will remain with your freinds for all eternity!" Spyro yelled. The light faded from Cynder as she opened her eyes to look directly at Spyro. "No! I won't!" She yelled. "Dispite everything that we've gone through, everything we've done together you wish that of me? To be dead!" She continued. Spyro shook his head. "No! You will become like them! Empty yet real enough to live as creatures!" Spyro yelled. He closed his eyes and suddenly he shot a blast of Convexity breath directly to Cynder. For some reason it felt like the Conveixty breath took ages to reach Cynder.

She stood there looking up as got closer and closer to her. She knew it would happen, she knew it had to happen it was the only way that her plan would sucsseed. 'No Cynder don't do this!' A voice echoed in her head. Cynder closed her eyes and looked down at the floor. 'I have to... If I don't I can't stop him...' She thought to herslef in response to the voice. Suddenly, without realising the large group of Dragons stood infront of her and blocked the Convexity blast. 'What are they doing!' Cynder thought to herslef. She watched as Spyro looked at all of them in anger. Cynder shook her head. Cynder began to glow a bright white again as one of the Dragons looked down at her. "Everybody! We need to stop this! We need to save Cynder!" She yelled but this time it was Spyro talking through her, the other Spyro. The Spyro she knew and trusted.

A light shone so brightly that it blinded Spyro making him un able to see what the Dragons were doing. "Now! Everyone, attack!" Cynder yeleld. She shook her head and looked up at the Dragons. "What! Spyro no don't do this!" She yelle to the other Spyro 'Trust me Cynder, I know what Im doing...' He echoed to her. She shook her head in anger. "No! No you don't! Just stop!" She yelled. Suddenly before she knew it all of the Dragons screamed in pain. Cynder covered her ears with her wings and sat down on the floor. When she had lifted her head the Dragons had faded away. All that remained was Spyro lying on the floor infront of her. She walked up to him. His scales were purple as normal and he had turned back to his normal size. It had worked, Cynders plan had come true. But it wasn't over yet.

Chapter 44: The Destruction Of Hope

Cynder stood by Spyro's side, hoping that he would wake up, hopeing that after all of what they had done together he wasn't dead. Not again, not now. Cynder tryed not to cry. She tryed to keep the tears in but every time she looked at him she lost hope. Suddenly the ground began to shake and crumble below her feet. She stood up and walked around the room wondering what to do. She couldn't do anything. She needed Spyro, she wasn't strong enough to do this on her own. "Spyro... If you in there, if you can still hear me then hear this. I know I've said it before but as soon as I do something bad always happens to us..." Cynder said as she began to cry. "Spyro... I-" She said before she was interupted by the sound of the rocks falling from the top of the mountain. "Spyro... I love you... And I hope you hear this, because your who I want to be with for all eternity..." She whispered to him as he lay on the floor.

Cynder looked up at the sky above her as she felt the ground shake. "I... I know Cynder..." Spyro said as he lifted his head up. Cynder turned around and looked at him with a smile on her face. "Your! Your alive..." She said joyfully. Spyro shook his head. "Im sorry, I couldn't go there. Not back there again..." He whispered. Cynder walked up to him as he shook in fear. "Don't worry Spyro, its not your fault." Cynder said. She smiled to him but he closed his eyes and lowered his head. "No Cynder, its not that. I can't stop it... I don't know how and I wish I did!" Spyro yelled. Cynder shook her head. "Spyro no! Don't be like this, there has to be a way." Cynder yelled. Spyro sighed and looked down at the floor. "No Cynder! This was intended by Convexity! He'd planned it specificly so it couldn't be stopped. Its the end of the world, and its all my fault." He said.

Cynder shook her head. "No! I refuse to beleve that! And so should you..." She said. Spyro looked up at her and nodded. "Your right, its not over yet." Spyro said. Cynder nodded as Spyro turned around and walked up to the large crack in the ground that the white light shone from. "But Spyro, what is happening? What is that light?" Cynder asked worridly. Spyro turned his head to look at Cynder. "It was meant to create the same effect as when Malefor created the well of souls. By splitting the earth alowing creatures from the other realms to enter our universe and then when it was compleated it would seal for all eternity." He said. Cynder shook her head. "The end of the world, by bringing back all means of dark creatures, it truly is the night of eternal darkness, but for an eternity." Spyro said as he and Cynder looked down at the crack in the floor. "And I created it..."

Chapter 45: Eternal Shadow

Cynder turned her head to Spyro. "Then you can stop it Spyro, before it too late..." Cynder said. Spyro looked up at her. There was a long silence as Spyro nodded. "Ok..." He said. He turned around and looked up into the dark sky. "But we need to find a way to stop the crack from streatching out too far." Spyro said. He jumped up into the sky and flew out of the mountain, Cynder shortly folowed him. He stopped at the top of the mountain looking at the large crack and trying to spot how far it spread. He couldn't see it in the distance. Cynder looked behind her at the scond crack which like the other one the end could not be seen. "Spyro, where are they meeting? The two cracks?" Cynder asked. Spyro turned his head and looked at Cynder. "On the other side of the world, edsactly at miding tonight." He said.

They coudln't tell when it was mid night, the sky was pitch black anyway, there would be no way of telling. "There must be a way to get there quicker. What if Convexity needed to? What if he needed to get to the other end of the world in a hurry?" Cynder asked. Spyro shook his head. "I don't know, I don't remember..." He said. Cynder lowered her head. "What about the temple, in the pool of visions. Me and the others got to the mountain through there but thats because we wanted to, what if we tryed that?" Cynder asked. Spyro looked up at her with a smile. "Cynder your a genuis! Convexity knew this all along, he knew he needed a way to get to the other side when he wanted so he did this years ago, millenia ago." Spyro said. He quickly began to fly as fast as he could to the temple. Cynder folowed behind him trying to catch up with him.

Spyro landed after flying through the large hole were the glass to the Dojo had been. He walked through the door into the nesting room. Spyro looked down at he green liquid in the centre waiting for Cynder. She soon walked through the door behind him and stood next to Spyro. "Are you ready?" Spyro asked. Cynder nodded nerviously "But Spyro, what are we going to do when we get there? How can we stop the earth from splitting?" Cynder asked. Spyro shook his head and grabbed hold of Cynders from leg. He nodded to her as she nodded back to him. "Together they both jumped into the green liquid and before they knew it they found themselfs infront of a large tower. "The tower of darkness, this is where the souls will come through." Spyro said. Cynder nodded to him as they ran quickly towards the tower.
