Then she was light black in the begining of TEN,
Then Cynder was very-dark purple at the end of TEN,
Then over the three year period, the very-dark purple faded a little to make it dark purple in DOTD.
The black color was because of The Dark Master's influence,

I gotta admit she does look dark purple... but she is not one off those specle purple dragons like Spyro though. But I still think she is black.

maybe two purple dragons are born each time, one male one female, but one egg will not hatch so ignitus says one dragon. so cynders egg was black with death. However sensing that she was purple, the DM corrupted her egg and in doing this brought her to life

i did a test on paint. i inverted the colour of cynder in DotD, spyro and either TEN or ANB cynder. DotD cynder and spyro came out some type of pale green and the other one came out white.

Aslo, even if you think she's black in the story, thet's just discuss the 1% possibility that she may be purple, how she got that way, and how it would positively affect the story. Now, I don't want any arguments or anger, I just want to have a fun and imaginatuive conversation about the subject.

I find it funny you guys are arguing over the color of a fictional character. She does look purple in some of the screenshots from the game. She could be a purple dragon..She could still be a black dragon and it's just the lighting. We don't know the story yet since the game isn't out yet. The creators can change the story if they want. It's their game. How would it ruin it? There have been stories where a prophecy turned out to be wrong.

I say we wait until the game comes out and see what happens. I'm actually looking forward to this game.

Cyner isnt a "purple" dragon. She is a black dragon, but is tinted purple. That doesnt mean she is a "purple" dragon in particular, you know, with the ability to controll all the elements, but she is purpleish in color.

Not sayin she is purple just sayin What if...
Just a bit of fun to fill in the time we have to wait for DotD to be released It stops the madness setting in

Many people are saying that she will be turned evil again, like the Chronicler said. I hope it will happen, it would be so dramatic. As long as she doesn't stay that way...

yeah its something to do with the lighting. I mean what are the odds that she turns out to be purple? It was said by ignitus that theirs supposed to be one purple dragon, not two. And shes pure black in TEN. I think im taking this too far...

Well not to be obnoxious but lots of people think shes black and she is, its completely OK to think shes purple, but literally what are the odds?

I believe Cynder is black, since black is not in the color spectrum it can reflect 'black light' so black is a mix of many colors. So when certain amounts of light and color mix together it makes black appear lighter, like purple. Since purple and pink are unsaturated colors they have to mix certain wavelenghts for us to even be able to see them. Blue light is scattered, so if alot of blue is present in one scene she will lightne up as well. She is a black dragon, but because of the ways our eyes absorb light she changes alot.

Clever theory, but there's one flaw: Black is the abscence of colour, it's white that is made of all colours.
