Being in the sun so long I have collapsed on the ground. I am barely concious and can see the predators slowly advancing toward me. I have bloodied some of them with my talons but they have done far worse to me. Both of my wings are torn and I am bleeding badly. As a Dingo gets too close I slash at him with my talons and bite at him. The predators are cautious as even in my weakened state I am vicious and fierce. They can just bide their time till I lose conciousness.

Something was bothering Sybil at that moment. Her sixth sense was pretty strong, and she knew that somewhere, things weren't right... but she and the others were already at the top of the cliffs, she couldn't possibly leave them behind.

Seeing a large portion of the Island, she could see the outback where (unknown to her) the missing falcon was. She could see from a distance dingoes gathering, but her vision wasn't enough to see who was the animal being cornered, and grew curious about it.

Coincidentally, the pelican called Theodore was nearby, and she called to her. "Theo, hey man. I know I sometimes ask for much, but can you see what's all the commotion down there?" she asked, pointing at the dingoes. "Right on mistress Sybil." he gently replied, heading there quickly...

Bit by bit I'm losing my strength. Already a dingo has hurt me even more. I slash at them with my talons and bite at them with my beak but I am losing too much blood and with it my strength. One dingo get so close that un unintentionally kill him with one slash of my talons. The other dingos get nervous as they see one of them fall beside me dead, with my talons still dripping with blood.

"HOLY CRAA..." Theodore exclaimed. He saw the falcon when he arrived on the Island, but what the heck was he doing there? Didn't Sybil warned him never to go there? There was no time to go and tell Sybil. It would be too late once she arrived there, so he took matters into his own hands (I mean... beak)

Theodore bravely dived into the dingoes and grabbed the wounded falcon in his beak. He proceeded to leave the place, but the extra weight was a little too much for him. He moved his wings as fast as he could, with the dingoes tailing him. The way back seemed further now, plus he was constantly chocking due to the taste of blood...

Weakly I gaze at the pelican. "Leave me Theodore, and save yourself, I'm finished. Both my wings are broken and I'm bleeding to death. Tears fall down my face as I continue. Tell Sybil that I love..." My body becomes limp in his beak as I lose conciousness. The wind rustles my feathers.

"What the heck is happening down there!?" Sybil yelled desperately, seeing all the commotion. She could see her pelican friend facing the dingoes, but why, what was Theo defending? It couldn't possibly be just a simple prey of the dingoes. "That's it, you two stay here, I'll be right back!" she said, leaving the snake and the velvet worm alone in that high cliff.
"MUTINY. MUTINY!!!" Sybil screamed with all her might, trying to gather all the animals possible, even the wolves if it was necessary...

"That you... what?" Theodore asked, not noticing that the falcon fainted. He heard Sybil's cries, and accelerated his flight... until he collapsed due to the weight. He extended his wings to look bigger, and with that, plus his enormous beak, it seemed to be working... but for how long? He was slowly stepping backward, hoping he reached the forest in time. "No one gets left behind in this island, do you hear?" Theodore said to the falcon. The poor pelican was slow-minded, and still didn't realized that the bird in his beak had lost consciousness...

My tears splash onto his face as rivers of tears continue to fall down my cheeks. Clutched in one of my talons is a large fish uneaten for Sybil.

Sybil had enough. After she climbed down, she didn't care if anyone heard her. She was determined to save Theodore, even if it meant to face all those dingoes. She headed to the outback, running and panting. The place seemed closer from up there, she almost reached to where Theo was, unaware that a few birds heard her calls and were on their way...

The dingoes start to quickly surround Theodore, hungry for me. "Hand over the falcon and we'll let you go pelican," the dingoes growl. Smiling they encircle Theodore, unaware of the army coming to save him.

"In your dreams buster. His species is disappearing. Don't you have any consideration at all? Go hunt something else!" Theodore bravely said, although fear was slowly surrounding him. What was he gonna do? His beak was occupied, his wings were harmless and his claws were too short. He didn't have a way to defend himself if they decided to attack...

"Brave speech from a soon dead bird," the leader of the dingoes says as they slowly close in on Theodore. They smile at they see the fear in his eyes.

Theodore's fear rose with those words. He tried to hide it, but to no avail. No matter the result, he was going to defend Jaerl, even if it meant his life too. He was preparing to tackle the leader... but somebody else did it before him... Sybil! She headbutted the leader and went in front of Theodore.

"What in the world were you thinkiii... OH SWEET MOTHER OF EARTH! Is that... the falcon that arrived last night?" and Theodore nodded. Sybil turned swiftly to face the leader once more, who was getting up.

"You big, dirty bully! Why don't you pick on somebody your own size you coward!" Sybil growled, ready to fight him if necessary. She dealt with dingoes before, but those were a bunch that time. She just hoped the leader had enough honor to fight her without his pack's help...

The leader growls. "I've already lost one of my children today, I will not lose another, he says firmly. The dingoes walk off and two of them pick up the slain dingo. They vanish into the distance leaving the group alone.

chica comes up from behind. "what were you doing out there!! do you know what could've happened!! at least you put up a good fight"

"I'm very sorry for that..." Sybil said to the dingo, although deeply, she didn't care. She held a vendetta against that irksome dog specie. But she was still surprised, and looked at Theodore, thinking he has done it, accusation that he dismissed quickly.

"Chica!" Sybil exclaimed, finally noticing her. "Where did you come from? " she asked, surprised. That wolf surely had a tendency to appear out of nowhere...

I slowly open my eyes. Tears continue to fall down my face. Both of my wings lay limp at my side. I dare not move due to my injuries. "I'm so sorry Sybil, I say bowing my head, I should have listened to you."

Theodore opened his beak and let Jaerl in front of the civet. Sybil watched the injured falcon with some disappointment in her eyes. She was extremely serious with that rule, why did he disobey that quickly? Was it really necessary to go to the dangerous outback?

I bow my head. Ready for whatever punishement she deems necessary. Blinded by pain I endangered everyone. "I'm so sorry Sybil, deal on me whatever punishment you think is necessary. Blinded by my pain I endangered everyone," I say with tears in my eyes.

" wo wo wo. hold it right there fella" chica said. "in my case this is your home now. no rules. okay well, maybe according to her" chica said and whispered the end bit. chica turned to sybil. "was here for a while really. i wanted to explore the rest of the half end and i saw him standing there, like he was waiting for something"

Sybil then wondered what pain was Chica talking about, and didn't dare to ask either, she felt it would further the falcon's depression. She then explained something important to Chica. "Being a top predator, you and Toboe are allowed here... but even you need to be careful."

After some meditation, she then turned to the falcon in that pitiful state. "Listen, I don't do any punish. I don't believe in such nonsense... but why? Why did you did it? Why expose yourself like that when you know your kind is so endangered? And why all of the sudden you are so sad and depressed? You arrived here just fine." Sybil asked with broken words.

Seconds after that, three warblers, two seagulls and four pelicans landed near there. "What is going on?" One of the pelicans asked. "Too late. The danger is over." Theodore explained to the confused birds. "Oh great. Sybil called mutiny and for what? We should have known she could handle it by herself." one of the warblers complained, and the birds quickly left the hot place.

Caille was on her way to ask Sybil a question.

Yodel the warbler saw Callie on the way. "Hey woah woah, where are you heading?" he asked. He was a bird who liked to get in everyone's way.

I look away. "I doubt you would understand Sybil. Here this is for you, I say handing her the fish. Then I hop away and climb into a lower hollow before laying down with tears falling down my face. They could never understand," I say sadly.

"Whats-s-s this-s-s?" Skaliscin questioned, slithering behind the group.
Speckles was riding on her back, clinging to her orange scales.
"OK, how exactly did we get here so fast?"
The serpent bobbed her head; the equivalent of a shrug.

"Wow, that is one falcon with emotional issues." Theodore commented, only to receive a scolding face from Sybil. "I better leave." he said ashamed, and left the outback. Sybil grabbed the fish, and proceeded to do the same, until she saw Speckles and Skaliscin. "Woah, how did you... never mind. We must leave. Now." Sybil commanded. She didn't want those two to get in trouble as well. She had enough with the outback and animals breaking the only strict rule she had.

Can I have another character as well as Jaerl? If I can here he is:

Personality: Very protective of Jaerl, considers himself like his father after what happened. He can can kind, generous, compassionate and loyal, but can also be cruel and cold. Will defend Jaerl as well as anyone he cares about with his life.

Royal flies alongside another bird scanning the area for me. He senses tell him that I am in trouble and need him. He turns to the other bird. "How much further to the haven, my feathered friend," he asks.

OOC: Listen, the Harpy Eagle is a Near Threatened species, so it doesn't fit in in the RP... unless you want to use the variety of Central America, where the species is very rare. Otherwise, try to find another Critically Endangered bird of prey.

"Only a few miles away." His companion said. It was a young pelican, not further in his late teens. This was his first escort, and was very exited about it.

Meanwhile, Sybil was returning to the forest, carrying the fish, while at the same time, keeping an eye on mischievous Skaliscin and Speckles...

The Harpy Eagle is from Central America but if want something different I can find something else.

"By the way my young feathered friend have you seen a Eurasian Peregrin Falcon named Jaerl recently? I am his father now, after his entire family perished leaving him alone as a chick. One would never be able to forget the look on his face when he found out that his family were all gone. I hope the person on this island understands that or I shall have to speak to her myself about this," he says flexing his talons.

OOC: It's from South America as well, and it is a little common, but never mind that. It is really endangered in Central America, so it can count

"A falcon? Yes, I remember a falcon arriving last night, but I haven't seen him since then." The young pelican explained. "Her? You mean Sybil? She is a very sweet civet. I remember when she pulled a nail out of my wing when I was just a fowl..." the pelican commented, trying to find conversation.

"But that story you just told me... quite tragic. But I guess that's not uncommon when it comes to those hateful humans. But don't worry. I am sure that Jaerl is feeling great there. Sybil can make anyone feel at home on our Island." he concluded, catching his breath after so much talking.

"Well I do hope so, because Jaerl has lost everything to the humans. Even I can't heal those wounds. All I can do is care for him and protect him like a father does. His pain is unimaginable, Royal says sadly. He continues to fly alongside the young pelican and smiles. You're doing well kid, I'm sure Sybil will be pround of you."

"Don't worry. The Haven is a place where no human can get to, so it is the best place to find happiness." the young pelican said... forgetting the outback detail. "There mister. That dot in the horizon is the Haven. Stay put, the winds in here are a little rough." he warned, happily. He loved that whole escorting thing because he knew that he was being useful to Sybil and his family.

"Alright I'll wait here," he says gazing at the place in the distance. It looked nice enough but he would have to see it for himself to see if it was as nice as the young pelican says. The wind feels great against his face. He gazes down at the sea and smiles.

"Just a little more..." the pelican said, struggling. He couldn't explain how that eagle was so calm with that strong breeze. They continued flying, until the Island was only a few yards away. "Almost there..." the pelican commented, relieved that the strong winds stopped at that point.

Royal was calm because he had battled against such winds before in the mountains of the Telemankas in Costa Rica. However like the pelican he was glad when the winds died down. "I'm right behind you, young one," he says.

They finally reached their destination. The pelican landed on a palm tree, and invited the eagle to do the same. "We are finally here." he said, panting. "I'll go get Sybil." he finished, lifting his wing slowly to prepare and fly once more...

Royal lands unto a palm tree and gazes at the Haven. "Nice place to be sure," he says. He stretches his wings and breathes in the free air.

The young pelican flew towards the forest. He was tired after the long flight, and the trees were thick, so he walked instead. Luckily, Sybil's house wasn't too far, but when he reached there, she was not there. The poor guy didn't have the slightest idea what just happened, and worse, what happened to the falcon. Instead of looking for her, he decided to wait there...

Royal waits on the palm tree for this civet to come and greet him. Though something tells him somethings wrong. He flicks his talons and gazes at the sea waiting.

chica wanted to know what kinds of other prey lurk around this end of the island so she went deeper. she soon came back to her den with a rabbit.

Sybil returned... with the injured falcon, "Sybil! A new guest, a new guest! He..." but then saw Jaerl. "Wait, isn't that the falcon that arrived last night?" the young pelican asked in horror. What was gonna happen if the eagle watched Jaerl in that state. " Listen Mercury, this is not the time for guests. You will have to greet this one for me." she said. "But... but..."

"Just do it. I am busy here." Sybil demanded, without knowing what was she getting the poor pelican into. That eagle arrived looking for Jaerl. What was he suppose to tell him now? He couldn't take him to Sybil... but he couldn't tell him about the falcon's health. What was he gonna do!?

Royal waits for the pelican to return, his eyes ever watchful for a sign from him. He scratches his head with his talons to relieve an itch stretching his wings. His head swivels from left to right watching.

After a few minutes, Mercury crash-landed near the palm tree. "Hey eh... Sybil can't... t-t-talk right n-now. B-b-b-b-but I can show you a-a-round. H-help you find your f-f-friend." the pelican stammered. The eagle was scary, and he didn't dare in any way to tell him what he just saw.

Royal smiles. "No need to be afraid young one, I enjoy your company very much. Now shall we take a look at this place?"

"Oh, ugh, yeah, sure!" the young bird said ecstatically, relieved that the eagle didn't ask him what was wrong. Mercury then proceeded to show him around the beach, telling him about his family, the Haven and the animals, both old and new. He didn't, however, mentioned anything about Sybil or Jaerl. And he was showing him around the beach, keeping the mighty bird away from the forest...

"Its a very beautiful place to be sure and I would love to meet the others that live here, he says. Jaerl will be alright without me for a few hours." He stretches his wings and gazes at the blue skies.

"...Oh yeah, eh, nothing like this paradise to keep you away from your worries." Mercury said, stammering again. The eagle was very polite, but he was still afraid of him. He wasn't sure for how long he was gonna keep the secret... and continued to show him around.

Meanwhile, Sybil was nursing Jaerl back to health inside her hollow home. She covered his injured body with Eucalyptus leaves, and let besides him the fish he brought her, along with half a coconut full of water. "Now Jaerl, please stay here. I will be back in a few minutes, so don't leave the tree." she warned, and headed to the beach...

"Alright Sybil," I say weakly. Meanwhile Royal continues to tour the island with Mercury. He smiles as Mercury talks about his family and what the Haven is for, but he also begins to worry. He wonders why Sybil was not able to greet him like all the others. He puts those thoughts aside for the moment and follows Mercury around the island.

chica guarded the hollow tree. she was free for the time being so she decided to help out

Sybil didn't notice Chica, she was now very near the beach. But when she got there, there was nobody around. She saw Cairo from a distance, and called him. "Cairo! Hey there, have you seen Mercury?" she politely asked. "Yeah miss Sybil. He headed to Light Beach just a few minutes ago with... and eagle I believe it was." he said with is calm, yet rumbling voice. "Can you tell him to meet me here?" she asked, and the Orca blushingly obeyed without a moment's haste.

"... Come, I saved the best for last." Mercury said enthusiastically. "This is Light Beach. This is the best place ever! It has the best fishes to catch, the swellest of waters and the softest sands. But the best comes at night. Every nightfall, these beaches are covered with bio-luminescent creatures that makes this place a spectacular light show. And even the stars above are so beautiful, you don't know what to look at first." Mercury concluded with a big smile. He had almost encyclopedic knowledge about that place.

"Well this truely is a magnificent place is Haven, I can't wait to meet the other animals that live here. My name's Royal, by the way, he says politely bowing his head. What's your name young one," he asks. He gazes around at the place around him with a smile. I lay still inside the hollow waiting for Sybil to return.
