I don't think you can really consider something like that "hoarding." Considering the fact that that's an army for a strategy-based game where each piece helps you win... It's more like having all the pogs in the Pokemon board game. You may look like a hoarder, but in reality you're a Pokemon Master, and you're taking the Elite Four and Gary down. Lol

People seem to fail to understand that GM's five of each character are being distributed among himself and his children, who are not fictional and both play the game. Personally, I think buying each child a full set is admirable, and can't really be counted against him in accusations of hoarding. Especially since these accusations are largely based on the notion that, by buying them, he's somehow depriving children of the chance to own them. Children like... his own?

His two "play" sets, regardless of whether or not you agree with them, are a byproduct of the game's design. When the game itself gives you two mutually exclusive paths for each toy, you can't honestly say that its creators expected everyone to have one of each figure. Why would they even want you to? People buying doubles to have both paths is, if anything, by design. More money, a higher bottom line, and the ability to brag about selling 30 million figures within six months of the game's launch, all happen way faster with people using both paths.

And then, he's got a boxed collection. Plenty of other forum members do too, they're just more quiet about it.

You might not like GM; that's fine. You can find better reasons for this than hoarding Skylanders, though, and better threads to do it in. Let's keep this on topic.

I have no problem with him at all or his sets, its just when he goes around talking about others being greedy and such, its happened more than once.

Honestly, I've got nothing against GM. He is free to do what he does. The recent rants on this thread were about addressing his comments that peope that had won more than one or two skylanders were greedy. I was worried about this notion catching on early and wanted to keep the environment comfortable for people to post large gains. I was just contesting the logic used in his displayed disdain were slightly flawed.

To keep this on topic I haven't seen another delivery since my large hall last Sat.

I do agree with you, ItsJustMe, there's nothing greedy about winning a contest you were allowed to win repeatedly, repeatedly. Everyone freaking out about repeat winners is just being paranoid. As we have clearly already seen in this thread alone, Frito Lay plans to honor them. That should effectively put an end to that. There will be no "cracking down" on repeat calls.

Received a pallet of 7,300 Flocked Stump Smashes today...only entered once and since it'd be too expensive for me to mail back or mail out the other 7,299, I just decided to burn the rest of them instead. Enjoy!

I won flocked stumpy and the 866# multiple times before winning flocked stumpy with my card from the chips bag. Should i call and ask whats up? I dont think im getting my prizes from the 800 numbers?!

Can I ask why people who won on both the 800 number and the online card code, are posting a definitive answer as to how their prize was won?? There are multiple people saying the same thing. The only way to know for sure if the prize you received is from online entry or phone entry, is if you only entered one way or the other. The congrats letter doesn't say "here is your stump smash you won with your online code." OR "here is your stump smash you won by calling our 800#." Please don't post the info as to how your prize was won...unless you only entered with the same method, as the information is useless. If you have conflicting info, please clarify it (maybe you used one name online, and a different one on the phone). We are asking for the info, to try and see a pattern...to predict what method they have to their shipping madness. Thanks.

My Flocked Stump Smash arrived today in Washington State, it was in my mail box and not delivered to my doorstep. Our mail boxes are pretty large, they are more like bins. I'm pretty sure that it's the one that I won with the Frito Lay bag code.

Got 3x Flocked Stumpys yesterday via 3 Web Codes

I just gotIn the mail today.

Still nothing here. I am still vaguely concerned that the 1800 number won't get me anything, even though a number of posters seem to say they got stuff from their phone entries.

I was unable to find the chip bags in my area, so hopefully the phone entries will still win.

I know mine came from the webcode because I used completely different names each time I won. So I could tell which one I got. The two names I rcvd were people I work with that I used for onlime codes. My name I used on the phone numbers and havent rcvd anything with my name on it.

That's why I'm worried. I did mine through the phone numbers. No one has gotten one yet via the 800 number.

So, do people still believe (can't remember who said it) they plan on honoring the deal, even to those who won by 800 only?

The estimated timetable for ANY of these turning up is 6-8 weeks from the end of the contest. If anyone has any reason they might not honor phone-in winners, besides just being worried about it, I'd be happy to hear you out, but otherwise it's just paranoia.

I won everyone of the flock smashes I received from chip codes because of the name and addresses on the labels. However, I can confirm that the one random I received is from 1-866 number. Like Tashiji stated their is no reason to assume that anyone calling the 1-800 number is not getting them other than simple paranoia.

The other arguement is the 1-800 number started really paying off in wins about two to three weeks into the contest. The simple factor you won your prizes late in the contest seems to explain why you are receiving them after people that won them early with codes.

I second the paranoia thing. They have 20,000 parcels to ship between two promotions. Imagine trying to decipher names and addresses from a recording. I haven't gotten anything (personally), my friend in NY...nothing, my brother in TX...nothing. We are all waiting patiently.

I found out that they had over 106K potential winners of the Flocked Stump Smashes. Based on the rules, it was the first call in winner during the winning period that won one. So you pretty much had a 1 in 12 shot of winning. Anyone who had a code officially won. This was a guaranteed win. I had 1 winning code. My flocked came in the mail yesterday. I have yet to receive any of the phone number call in winners yet. I "won" more than 10 times. So you don't really "win" when you called and won. You just won a chance to win. I'd say we'd all be lucky to win 1 via phone numbers.

EXACTLY! That's what I'm saying. I think the 800 number people are gonna be screwed over, or most of them. They made 7k, but Xero says 106k potential winners were for flocked stump.

Where did you find that 106k number from?
