^Come on. Money isn't an issue. Can you imaging how much green Nintendo has? If they can buy Rare, I wouldn't doubt together could make masterpieces :)

I doubt it. Like I said, Rare is not exactly the same Rare they were over 12 years ago. I'd much rather Nintendo use someone else... like Retro Studios. They've already proven they can handle an old Rare franchise (Donkey Kong Country). >.>

^I don't think that counts as Nintendo. I am little aware of this, but I think those games weren't released by Nintendo. It's sort of like the CDi Zelda games.

I think they were I own them all (not counting Wario Land 2 & 3)!!! The first one, Super Mario Land, was one of the first games on the Game Boy (in fact it was a launch title), the sequel, Super Mario Land 2 : the 6 Golden Coins (also on Game Boy), introduced a famous Mario character, Wario and was a true mario game , but then the series branched off into the Wario Land games (spin-off series), starting with Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land (Game Boy) then come Wario Lands 2 (Game boy and GB Color), 3 (GBC) and 4 for the Game Boy Advance (I only own 4 not 2 or 3) then several years later on the Wii Wario Land Shake It! came out!
Too bad Wario Land isn't around anymore now we only have the Wario Ware (party games) series.

Well, if that's true, then the SM Land games are truly from Nintendo, since Wario counts as an official Nintendo characters.

I hope it's good then. That's my favorite character smilie

There's absolutely no doubt that the Super Mario Land series is Nintendo. Why do you think they could reuse Daisy in Mario Party 3 onwards?
---
Eh.

#256 Posted: 02:58:40 27/08/2012
To the best of my knowledge, none of the Mario platformers have been developed by anyone other than Nintendo (unless you count Super Paper Mario, in which case there was one platformer not developed by Nintendo). The side series (Yoshi, Wario, Donkey Kong) are another story, however...

^Well, the side stories are pretty good. I adore the Donkey Kong Country trilogy, and Yoshi has some few good games too. Not a fan of Wario though, but I assume it has some good games too.

And speaking of Daisy, I really like the character. She is pretty wild in the sports games. I wish they used her more often, not only in spin-offs, but in the main storyline as well smilie

Well, Daisy is one of those side characters is all. Like king boo and Walluigi. You don't see them very often unless they're in something that has a great collision of mario characters.
Felines Prismatic Sparx Gems: 10238
#260 Posted: 18:29:47 27/08/2012
Well yeah, but Daisy looks like a character that can be given much depth. Just look at Wario. We can say that he is not only Mario's rival, but also some kind of evil counterpart. Daisy is like a counterpart of Peach, so it can be possible for her to appear in more games in the main series, not only in Super Mario Land.

Actually Daisy is much more than a counterpart to Peach. She is her cuson. With that, it's definitley something that Nintendo should try to focus on. (Including daisy in more games)

Boy, Nintendo really seems to be plastering Bowser's kids everywhere nowadays. First Bowser Jr finally joins Mario Party, then the Koopalings are back for NSMB2, and now Junior in a Paper Mario game. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

No, it's not a remake you know...

But anyway, now that I see that poster... it fills me with doubts. Sure, it is noticeable that the paper graphics return, but for some reason, the game doesn't look like part of the Paper Mario series. I don't know why, maybe it's because the other three games were for consoles rather than a handheld... or it can be because of Bowser JR.

There has been like two different topics about Kid Icarus already (nobody is visiting them anymore) I don't know about Super Smash Bros though. One thing about Kid Icarus:Uprising, the controls are a pain, I must warn you that, but aside of that, the game is hilarious smilie

The first thing I want to find in a game is what kind of gameplay it's gonna have, so after I found out about that in this game, I was doubtful. And asides that, during the whole game, the characters talk, distracting you big time from the gameplay... but if you tried to ignored them, you could have missed some vital information.

But I finally decided to buy it because it seemed so different and original than everything else I played. It was hard to adapt to the controls, but I did eventually. The characters breaking the fourth wall and trowing some very funny commentaries and insults were the main thing that got my attention. Plus the story looked rather interesting as well, not to mention that the game has some pretty catchy music too smilie

It definitley looked cool. smilie I'll have to try it! Although...I'll have to take the risk in getting the only system compatible for it. I wish it could have been for the wii at least. With wii motion plus, they could have done something similar to Skyward Sword. That would have been awesome!

Yeah, I also wanted it for the Wii to avoid buying the console. I hated the idea of buying one console for just one game... But after finding out that you can play normal DS games, it was worth it, especially with that price drop. I am thinking that, eventually, I will buy more 3DS games... if the prices drop of course. I don't care how much I need to wait smilie

^Yeah, it does. That is quite common with Nintendo you know. The new console is almost always compatible with the games from it's predecessor. To put some examples:

GameCube---Wii
GameBoy---GameBoyAdvance
Nintendo DS---Nintendo 3DS

Edit: Nope they aren't compatible because the SNES cartridge is too large for the N64 but I think that there are SNES+N64 combo systems if I'm remembering correctly.

Edit 2: Never mind, I was thinking of the NES + SNES dual/combo systems.
