yeah i dont think Activision is stupid enough to make a move like that they would lose a lot of buyers if they did that

activisions have nothing to fear... have you seen the evilbay prices and what people are willing to pay??... they can just make a shortage of toys, like they did the first time. the demand will skyrocket through the roof...

after a while when the scalpers have had theirs, activision will release more toys for the stores and people will go bananas as usually. they will think 20 dollars for each giants is a cheap deal... and activision will bath in money once again.

i can tell youre brand new so to change your picture go to setting which can be seem in the yellow box with your name and scroll down and you will find an area to put a 100X100 picture or choose a premade one

That's the same article that said there were only 3 adventure packs. But that's besides the point, the point it it's already been confirmed by various people at TFB and Activision (and in the press release) that there will be 28 re-releases of old Skylanders.

Edit: Actually, this info is starting to look pretty legit... Hmm.

No matter. I think I would reset them. Otherwise where would be the fun? I love leveling up.

They remember there experiences so I can't se how it would be possible to auto reset them for the sequel, more levels and further upgrades for original skylanders would be awesome.
There obviously has to be a catch though with the originals being playable. From a marketing point of view they won't be able to make so much money on it if people already own the figures.

Vac Eagle isn't a Giant.

I dreamed that on the skylanders universe site Camo,warnado and wham shell where already rentable and the new skylanders(from skylanders giants) have taken their place. Most of them have lame and unoriginal look more than the first generation. Three giants where the same and where color swapped, same with two skylanders that look like a bottle. And it look like that it have more element: Ice and alien/space...

Activision kind of has a history of not caring. I mean, look at what they did to Guitar Hero. They milked that cash cow dry and then abandoned it the second it served them no purpose.

As far as them putting in more effort, I don't see why they would even think of doing that right now. Skylanders for Spyro's Adventure are having trouble staying in stock everywhere. It doesn't matter if it's a Wave 1 or a Wave 4 Champion. The figures are flying off the shelves. It doesn't matter if the gameplay is short or if there are glitches like the Armor Master. People are still buying the product. It's still making Activision money, so I'm pretty sure they don't care.

So at the end it is officially true that the re-modelled toys will work on the first Skylanders' game too?

It's just a rumour at the moment, but it can be presumed that they will work on the first game too. However, if they do, I don't see why only they should level up beyond lv10... I could explain why in a long and slightly complicated way but I'd rather not right now.

...No, there was nothing official that the old Skylanders won't level up past Lv10. Nothing from Activision/TFB, only a post on a blog.

I just wish they would release more info on the other NEW skylanders.. not re-makes but others such as Alchemist and (hate to say this name but) Vac Eagle.. even pencil drawn pictures w/o any color would be amazing.. i'm a fire kind of guy and i am kind of upset they are focusing on releasing more and more info about the re-makes rather than giving little hints here and there about the new ones i don't even need a straight forward answer just a little clue.. *sigh* i guess we won't get to know for another month..

Kaos wasn't very original in the first game either. To me he was like a copy of Invader Zim except human and a bit more successful; at least he managed to pull off a plan. (banishing the Skylanders)

And destroying the Core of Light.

In all fairness, Zim really isn't all that original. The "incompetent Villain" trope has been long explored by the likes of Bowser, heck, even Pete from the Mickey Mouse cartoons. And Kaos pulling off his plan and actually banishing the Skylanders is really important. If say, they all crash landed on the moon, Skylands would have been boned. Even the Sun. Just happening to landing on Earth and being able to return thanks to us having Portals is like a .000001% chance. (This is all in the aspect of the storyline)

not even that spyro flame, when I did the maths and it went with .000000000000 all the way off the calculater but it is bound to be an irregular sum.
scrap the facts you have to remember that it is all make believe child fantasy, I mean dragons are believed to be fake even though scientists say there is bound to be E.T. life out there and it is possible that there could even be life on moons rather than planets as they beleive that there is a HIGHpossibilaty that life could exist on jupiters moon (one of them).
