no the teen rating is 13+ but no one cares if your 12 or 11 or younger and you play the game it realy doesnt matter i have a game that is rated m and im only like 12 (its jaws,lots of blood and swearing)
so if you were like a year or two younger it wouldnt matter but if you were like a couple of years younger like 8 or something you would probably need an adult with u or something?

i know the real game cover, just go on youtube and look up dawn of the dragon oficial boxart its rated RP that means its not rated yet

That'll probably be the case for DotD. Smash Bros. Brawl was only rated Teen because "one or more of the series' previous games was also rated Teen". (They're referring to Melee)

Anyways, I'd actually like to see a more mature Spyro game, even if just barely. It's been several years since I last played a Spyro game (*Shot'd*), so my tastes in the media have obviously changed a bit. xD

Hi Everyone,

Sorry that Mike and I haven't had a chance to answer any questions recently. We've been very busy working with the team to wrap up DotD. I just wanted to quickly take a moment to confirm that there will be NO BLOOD in the new title. What you saw in the gameplay footage was a work in progress effect for when enemies are defeated. The red effect that everyone has seen has been changed so there should not be any confusion in the final release. I hope that clears up this debate.

On a side note, the game is coming together really nicely and I really hope that you all enjoy this final chapter.

Yeah. Also when he says "scared the crud out of you?" You never know, it could be Sparx who's responsible for the might-be teen rating.

Just for the record, I loved the "Evil? Monstrous? Big? Sexy?" part.

Hey, lots of young kids couldn't play TEN because it was too hard for them. It just depends on the kid. I know youngsters who play Resident Evil, a game I can't play because it scares me too much, and I even saw a copy of Tomb Raider Legend for sale at Toys R' Us. I agree I have always wanted a spyro game thats not so happy (Unless its made by Insomiac of course) so it would be good for me!

I don't mind the rating, because it's still Spyro. As long as they keep the basic Spyro-ish gameplay in DOTD, I'm happy.

But I wouldn't be overly keen if they made an 18+ Spyro...

Do keep in mind that the DS version of this game was rated E for everyone. but yet it was for Fantasy Violence

I know. I'm guessing that the console versions will be either E10+ or T...it's probably gonna be the former, even if I'd like the latter *shrugs*.

I can definitely tell this game will be rated "T" for "Teens". Especially if you saw the game play of the console versions (not hand held versions). If you saw when Spyro attacked the enemies red gore/gush (whatever you want to call it) splattered out.

There are more other reasons, for example the storyline. Spyro, Cynder and Spark have matured over the 3 years, and the Dark Master is out, wanting to kill them (if you know what I mean).

Oh, and this game is is development, it is in subject to change. Before the release they can change anything. Who knows, maybe they might make it "Grand Theft Dragon", only the developers know. Anyways, ESRB (Entertainment Software Rating Boards) will make the choice.

Hopefully this answers some questions. We will have to see how everything turns out.

btw even the 10+ didn't stop my addicted 5-yrs old bro'from playing his fav game... I mean he's almost as good as I was when I was like 10-11. Gosh, that's double ... And gee he doesn't even understand english (well, he can't even read) so I have to translate every word Spyro says... now I kno it from heart O.O so fun... tho yeah, he kinda sticks to the former trilogy too

I guess in the future, that the kids are going to have to learn to grow up to play the Spyro games.
