It looks pretty,but I also don't like Pearlcatchers :I It's even worse when there are like dozens of amazing Snapper skins when I don't want one anytime soon.

New Words on the Wind detailing one-way trades - pretty much the gifting system in most pet sites. Will be even easier to do care packages now since you can just stick a dragon and some items together. They're also warning that they'll have to wipe all current trades to upgrade,so be careful as the time for it gets closer.

They're also talking about tweaking Night of the Nocturne rewards. Good, because I played enough Neopets to know goodie bags 9 times out of 10 aren't worth it.

Also hnng Butterfly genes. Pearl has some nice patterns but feels like most of the time it'll cover the face too much,like Clown.

Hm, and that Familiar coloring contest... I think I'll attempt participating on it actually,since vacations are finally here(ok, one more day,but they're pretty much here). I feel like I could make that first one or the Questing Whelp look pretty cool.

Butterfly genes look pretty. Rather excited for Night of the Nocturne. It was tough, but still fun. Hoping to get another egg and a scroll this year. Of course, I also want all of the new familiars. Need the Imposter Water & Wind bears for Mizuho & Kazuto.

Did they say that they were going to keep cycling the bear familiars for 2016's Night of the Nocturne? I'm tired of having these worthless bears in my hoard.

I want to enter in that familiar coloring contest with the peryton, but there are so many good entries for that one already and I don't have ideas for the color scheme. Maybe the staff will just give up and pick 4 variations of each familiar like last time.

They'll add new ones,the wording doesn't seem to indicate removing the old bears. I only need a breed change scroll for my dumb looking male progenitor Guardian, his colors fit so well as a Nocturne so I'm holding out on a scatterscroll.

I'm thinking of something Toxic/Poison-looking for the pattern, something like the Hippocampuses in the Rainsong Jungle venue. Not the same thing of course, but I just looked at the Questing Whelp and knew it needed to look more like a poisonous animal.

I'm about to try the Familliar Coloring contest. Wish me luck! Well, unless you want to win it yourself.

Really pretty,though I'd have settled for a few spots or something - but at this point I saw so many entries with gradients and people using the same colors as the lineart I don't even know what's allowed anymore, better play it safe.

Too many corgis. I was actually alright with the weirder looking Hainus but people are just submitting straight up regular dog patterns.

Thanks Bifrost & Sky. I was thinking of adding more, but decided to stay simple to avoid potentially making it look shaded for that rule.

Some of the stuff I scrolled though is nice, alot of other submissions not so much. So many people making Corgis. Then I've noticed a number of patterns and clashing colors. I really doubt the 100% green Manticore is going to happen. Much less the number of submissions that are dark black and blend in with the line art.

I wouldn't mind if they chose one Hainu with a regular dog pattern and one Hainu that's a sparkledog (as long as it's a tasteful sparkledog).

My entry for the Familiar contest. Got scared of having too many spots and cool patterns like the green Hippocampus that I mentioned,so went for a simple pattern in a smaller area but kept the bright poisonous colors, with some gold and green easier on the eyes for balance.

I think having more patterns should be fine. You could take a look at the Floracats and Buttersnakes to see what's allowed, since they were the winners of the previous familiar contest. This one in particular is heavily patterned (in case the image doesn't work, it's the Colorburst Buttersnake)
