Shadow and Kumara followed closely behind Gale.
"You have nice control of your element," Kumara commented, "Shads has a hard time using his so I assumed all dragons were... Inexperienced." And that was putting it nicely. She couldn't just say that she thought dragons were weak and beneath her.
"Says the one who doesn't let me do anything..." Shadow retorted. The griffin just gave a weak glare at him.

OOC: Sorry for the inactivity everyone. Im just going to assume that I'm with shade if thats alright

Gregora reacted to the voice as well, running outside of the cave. He stomped a foot that sent small rocks into the air in an arrow like shape, then lit them all with hard light as an ultra-light beacon. The arrow pointed straight to their location. "Follow the light" he called

Starflash was correctly assuming that the light came from the one that saved her and the others from that giant. With such a surprising display, she was sure that she would be much safe with that stranger with the light power, but also, she didn't want to leave Chimera or Blarna's side. She was deciding what to do, but she was still taunted for a desire to help, and what came to her mind was crazy...

"Th ... thanks," Gale replied, "I try my best, though i'm not really great."

Polara pointed over to where a couple dragons were, "Come on, let's go see who they are." The ice dragoness ran over to where the light was.

"Well, that's Shade, he must have found something." Chimera flew towards the beacon.

Everyone seemed to have left towards the Light Stranger, as Starflash put it. This was an opportunity she was hoping for, for she has found a way to help out without feeling like she was getting in the way. Without second thoughs, she flew towards the volcano once again, very high just in case those other fire creatures were still around. She believed that the giant creature that attacked them earlier couldn't have gotten very far. As crazy and risky as it sounded, Starflash flew to where the creature was seen retreating, very sure that something that big would be easy to track. It was such a silly move from the naive and young phoenix that it was as almost as she has forgotten Shade's warning to the creature's attraction to heat...

"Uhh, Chimera?" Blarna noticed how they were missing a person.

"Yeah?" Chimera was deep in her thoughts.

"Look behind us, who don't you see?" Blarna clicked her still-gray beak.

Chimera did so and soon noticed that the young fire phoenix had began flying towards the volcano, "Starflash! " Chimera had a moment of panic as she didn't want her feathered friend to be alone. The dark dragoness changed her course and flew after Starflash, and Blarna followed.

Gregora spotted the flitting phoenix out of the corner of his eye, first thinking nothing of it. Then he pieced it together; a young, trying phoenix, fire, and an active volcano. That bird shouldn't be alone in all this chaos! He aimed his body at the birds last known direction and concentrating, aligning his quantum energies. With a simple step forward, he disappeared from his spot, leaving a wake of air behind him. Moving at blinding speeds, his quantum energy had him flying next to the phoenix in seconds. His energy reconstituted and he materialized next to the flaming bird, a severe look of worry on his face. "What are you doing out here all alone?" He asked, trying to make his voice be heard over the raging volcano's rumbles.

OOC: I love warping at quantum speeds. Dissolving of the body at the start and rebuilt at the finish

(I don't think Chimera will appreciate Gregory unintentionally stealing Starflash's attention.)

Just as the duo reached the young phoenix, Chimera had to jerk backwards when a new dragon appeared out of nowhere.

(This isn't the place to say it, but aren't you going to respond to my new PM, that way we can keep the conversation going.)

OOC: Ok ill dial it down, but the definition of god-modding is purposely being better than everyone. there are a lot of flaws in quantum theory. Gregora can just reshape his energy and move fast from time to time. Trust me, I wont play as some unstoppable bastard. I purposely write down flaws for my characters... ill shut up now

Annd Gregora just wants to make sure noone else dies/disappears.

OOC: I didn't expect that action to cause this much commotion. I will try not to make my character(s) do hasty actions if it's going to cause something like this. I will follow as it is right now, so let me know in time if there is something I should change.

Starflash was rather disappointed to be stopped so suddenly like that. She was sure she was doing something heroic and that no one would stop her, but the appearance of another new face seemed to be so much for her.
"And who are you!? Get out of my way!" she demanded, rather rudely.

OOC: your fine felines. I was honestly just trying to get involved

"I'm just a worried dragon of the guard. What are you doing here out all alone?" He replied, unaffected by the tone of her voice. He hovered to the side of her, not quite blocking her path, but enough to be a burden to get past.

OOC2: should my character just leave?

(Yeah, just got to try and tone down the powers. The most OP that any of my characters should ever be is Ganter, and even then, I had to toss everything other than our Hope Light power (he's in the Chaos Within RP in case you don't know who I'm talking about.), and even then, I had to downgrade that too.)

Chimera soon arriver next to Starflash and Gregora, "Starflash, what are you doing? And who are you?" The amount of protectiveness in her voice was evident that the dark dragoness was worried.

Before Starflash could answer to the new stranger, she heard Chimera.
"I'm sorry. I was simply trying to help. I thought that if I followed that thing, I could find a weakness and report to all of you." she confessed. Her desire to help was now looking more like an obsession.

Chimera's gaze softened, "I know, but you can't do it alone, and neither do I. Once we can get some alone time, i'll tell you something important."

Blarna turned her ice-blue head in the direction of the new dragon, curious.

The Promethean dragon sighed, giving the newly arrived dragons an annoyed look. "I am Gregora, a city guard. I was just investigating what was going on, why this phoenix was all alone. You all sound like broken records" He scoffed. The phoenix's reasoning surprised him, and his expression changed to an approving smile. "That's actually a brilliant idea," he stated, looking down at the volcano, "With our numbers, just maybe we can scout the place and protect eachother from harm."

OOC: Ok, well my reasoning being Gregora is that he is the last of his species due to their arrogance and pride of their powers. That fatal flaw killed them off a long time ago, because they thought they could do anything, yet they were wrong. On the fact of his powers, quantum energy is when he uses all four of his elements at once, changing his own existence in space time. I do admit its a little op, but the downfall is its exhausting and cannot be used a lot or for long periods of time.
His individual elemental skills are limited too. He may know four elements, but he cant study them all to mastery level. He knows a few tricks and such, but hes not very good at most advanced techniques.
I dunno. I was also basing this off of dungeons and dragons stats, where every campaign needs that one guy who is a jack of all trades, yet a master in none, if that makes sense

The truth at that moment was that Starflash didn't pay much attention to that odd looking dragon. She actually remembered two important things that were now bothering her.
"Say Chimera. That dragon with light powers, the one that made the giant retreat..." she said, not remembering the name.
"... said that it is attracted to heat. You are a shadow dragon, so I don't think you emit too much heat, and Blarna is now made of ice. Does that mean the creature will be after me?" Starflash concluded, showing impressive deductive skills even at such a young age.

"It might, but we won't let it get to you, right?"Chimera turned to Blarna as she said this.

"Right." Blarna chirped out confidently.

Now Starflash understood that those two, or anyone else for that matter judging by that new dragon, was NOT going to let her go after the creature. It was such a disappointment to her. She knew it was a risky, and probably deadly move, but she was convinced that the creature almost got her the first time because she wasn't prepared for that apparition. But now that she has seen and experienced it, she believed that even if the creature chased her, she could get away easily, since in her point of view, the bigger a creature, the slower it is, or at least, that was her perspective.

With a devilish grin, Gregora remarked, "We could use the heat of the phoenix to lure the creature out, then teleport her away and trap the thing." In his head the tactic worked out, playing over and over again with every scenario he could think of. "The bird would be out of harms way, we could make sure of it."

Chimera looked, concerned, "I dunno, sounds rather risky. And what if we fail?"

Starflash lowered her head, deep in thought. She was going to face the creature after all, but acting as bait seemed far more risky. However, if that contributed into stopping that thing once and for all, she decided it was worth to give it a go.
"I accept! If it means ridding this land of that giant, then I am willing to try." she said with determination, showing very little fear.

Chimera still wasn't sure, "I suppose I should tell you this. Min if we can talk in private?"

Starflash agreed, realizing that Chimera was waiting for a while to ask something. She was afraid on what could it be...

Inferno flew down and landed just inside the cave. The Sunbird looked around, "You guys alright?"

As soon as they were out of earshot, Chimera looked Starflash in her eyes, "Do you want to know exactly why i'm so protective of you?"

So that was it? Starflash believed there was a scold involved or something, so she was relieved.
"Oh... um, yeah..." she answered, believing Chimera was overdoing it a little. Not even her own family showed that much concern for her when she was with them.

Chimera let out a sigh, "Well, I try to keep you safe because ... well, every single person I've cared about has either died, or disappeared. My sister; killed by an evil dark dragon, and my love, the ice dragon Ganter, he just vanished one day." Chimera waited for Starflash to reply before continuing.

Starflash realized Chimera's past was just so full of tragedy, and judging by that pause, there was no doubt that it meant there was probably much more to the story.
"Well, I... you just met me... I mean, You would still have Blar..." but Starflash realized she couldn't find the correct words. Does that meant that Chimera grew fond of her in such a short time? The young phoenix find that difficult to believe considering the harsh experiences she has had in such the short time she has lived.

Chimera continued her confession, "i'm relatively friendly and all, but I hate losing friends. Like I said earlier, you remind me of my sister, so that's partially why I don't want to lose you. The other reason is simply that despite how independant I can be, i've grown used to have friends around. Ganter really was the starting point for it all, ever since he showed up at my home, he showed me the value of having people to care about. Ever since he vanished, i've been searching for him, want to know how?"

"I... I guess." Starflash answered with doubt and worry. She wanted so bad to help out, and just when she thought she found the perfect way, Chimera says that. If something happened to her, she would cause someone's pain, and she didn't want that at all. But she also wanted to be useful, but how to do it without involving a risk? It was quite a predicament, and Starflash was deep in thought while she waited for Chimera's explanation...

Chimera revealed her neckless, its gold ring and red gem glimmered in the light, "This neckless allows me to travel through dimensions, i'm hoping to meet Ganter aflgain through my journeys. In fact, to be honest, I could have left this place at the first sign of danger, but I wont. I am going to see this through to the end. The reason I'm telling you all of this is because if something happens, I at least want you to know why I care about you. I just don't want to lose any more of my friends." Chimera's voice started to crack up at the strain of her emotions.

Now Starflash felt trapped. There was no way she would allow Chimera to suffer yet another loss. It was too unbelievable on how little it took her to be overprotective as that. She then turned to Gregora.
"I'm sorry but... I've changed my mind. I don't want to be usd as bait." she said to her, finally deciding not to take huge risks and simply wait for what will happen next.

Gregora was extremely confused as the others just drifted off to talk. He shook his head and sighed. "If we are going to fight that beast, we have to do it now!" He exclaimed with confidence, mostly to himself. He locked his wings to his side and plummeted to the volcano, throwing any fear in his heart to the side. We have to act before the beast grows any stronger! He was determined to win the battle, and a part of him felt calm as he went to face death. Maybe he was meant to join his ancestors, it would be better to bury the ancient magic of his race, since it warps reality.

Shadow and Kumara followed Polara and Gale until they arrived at the group of dragons.

Starflash was feeling very bad for Gregora. Plummeting like that, was it because she didn't volunteer? She looked at Chimera.
"You know, I... still want to do this, if there's absolute guarantee that nothing is going to go wrong." Starflash commented, knowing that even if a plan was risky, everything would be alright if absolutely everything was thought out. Every variable had to be considered.

Chimera felt weirded out with Gregora's dive, "We do have our original plan, don't we?"

"Yeah, I distract and/or study the creature while you investigate the volcano. After all Chimera, that's why we did the spell." Blarna replied, gesturing to her feathers.

Starflash felt like she was being ignored, but was it on purpose? She decided not to repeat herself and followed Chimera to study the volcano. Maybe she could be useful there. She couldn't get too near it since her body didn't tolerate that much heat yet, but maybe there were some clues around it?

Chimera turned to Starflash. "What do you think, should we go ahead with the original plan?"

"I don't see any more options here." Starflash responded, convinced that Chimera wasn't going to allow that stranger's plan. She even started to believe that she ignored her last comment on purpose since she wanted to avoid that topic.

"Alright then, but let's go get that Gregora guy first, it might be dangerous for you Blarna." Chimera asked, not sure if she'd want Blarna to be alone either.

"Before we start splitting up and all, I still have a question for you Chimera. What ever was the deal with the feathers on your wings, the ones that keep disappearing. I keep asking you, but you never answered." Blarna loiled at Starflash, wondering if the young phoenix knew or was curious herself.

Chimera looked at Blarna, "Oh, sorry," Chimera let the shadow magic reform her dark blue feathers, "these feathers are supposed to be proof of my skill with dark magic, I mostly bring them out when I'm preparing to use my powers in a big way. It's like saying 'I'm better than you at this', does that answer your question?" Chimera flapped her wings once and the feathers vanished once more.

Starflash was as confused as ever. It looked like she was never going to learn everything there was to know about Chimera. Every time she learned something new, and other thing followed. She associated it with the fact that she was a shadow dragon, and darkness was a rather supernatural element. Too mysterious to comprehend completely.

Blarna nodded, and Chimera spoke again, "Well, let's go get Gregora and fill him on on our plan." Chimera said, turning to the volcano.

Starflash simply concentrated on following Chimera around. She was an adult after all, so she must know what she was doing.

(Wait, didn' t we already get told his name?)
