Chapter 16: A friend says goodbye
The hall was large, dark, and damp. Giant pillars held the place up. Up above, a large window let in the only source of sunlight. Mole-Yair walked toward the throne. But something was wrong. There was no dragon sitting there. Where was he? Suddenly Mole-Yair was tackled from behind. Guess who it was? Yes, it was Malefor. He had Mole-Yair pinned down. "You thought you could just walk in, and defeat me!?" he bellowed. "Well, now it is too late. Soon, the dragon will come to me. I will kill him, then destroy this pathetic world! But first, i am hungry. A mole's heart will be the best snack while waiting!" This was the end for Mole-Yair. The jaws came at his heart...and suddenly the pressure was lifted. Mole-Yair opened his eyes, and saw Icies on top of Malefor! "Go! I'll hold him off!" she screamed at him. Then, Malefor swept her off of him! She hit the wall hard, and was knocked unconscious. Malefor flew at Mole-Yair. He tried to dodge...but it was too late. It was over before it ever started. Malefor's teeth tore right through Mole-Yair's flesh, and in a flash, his heart was gone. All that was left was a carcass of a mole. Malefor then took Icies by her tail, and threw her out the window. All the way back to Warfang. Miraculously...she survived. And she stayed on the ground like that for the next week.

Chapter 17: The Funeral
It was sad. The funeral. Mole-Yair was dead. Icies just couldn't believe it. One of her closest friends decided it was HIS destiny to destroy the Dark Master. And what happens!? He dies! These thoughts bounced around in Icies' head as she walked toward Town Square, where the funeral was being held. She sat down just as the procession began. Trumpets played. People cried. But Icies didn't. She was too strong for that. She watched as Exhumor slowly made his way to the front and burned the Warfang flag that was set in honor of Mole-Yair's brave deed. That was it. He started crying. And then...he stopped. He stopped just long enough to say a few words in the honor of his late brother. Then he started sobbing again. It was too much for Icies now. She broke down too. They sobbed and sobbed. When the funeral was over, Icies returned to her apartment. She didn't know what to do. Her friend was gone. She no longer had much of a life. So she made the most of it.
