"Indee.d Maybe at a later date," she responds as she walk after the Aetian. "So, Dark Angel. Do you wish to set off?"

Shadmé shook herself out of her thoughts and nodded curtly. "That is imperative." She glanced over her shoulder for the Puppet Master.

Rius walked after the two of them, she returning the Dark Angel's glance. "Let's be off, then. Quite the journey lies before us." She states before walking again.

Shadmé nodded, agreeing. "So you tell me you both fought an orc? Or did you just witness its destruction?"

"We saw the remains, but we did not see the actual destruction in progress," Sashe stated as she strode toward the tunnel that leads to the exit.

OOc: Dewluine is quite a ways away, just to let you know. Across Psyche and along the border of Valhall and Joton is quickest.

Ooc: Great! Then Rius can *totally not* get in trouble and give them the grand tour of her "home" country.
You should make us a map in paint. Or, if you do a rough sketch, I could make you a map.

"As the defiler says. The unchild sought me out and told me of the destruction." Rius said as she walked to walk alongside the others. "I was amused and came to observe. Perhaps we should make our way through psyche? I know the land and I do have some who worry about my absence."

Ooc: I can't upload photos, currently. I will, hopefully, be able to before long, however.

Ooc: Yeah. I might make sketches of a few possible enemies at about the same time as the map.

"I believe we should. Should we pass through the Mushroom Field? Or shall we go around it?" questioned the cultist.

Ooc: I've been thinking... maybe I should add codex about places, enemies, items of interest, etc.? Here's an example.

The Psychedelic Mushroom Field
A dangerous place near the center of the country of Psyche. The term field is a misnomer in the case of this area, as it is classified as more of a forest- but with mushrooms instead of trees. The mushrooms emit insanity-evoking spores, as evidenced by the insanity of the first people to attempt to cross. However Psychians (people of Psyche) and Volker (people of Volku) have natural immunities to the effects. Drug Dealers are known for pushing these substances.

Rius shrugs as she answers, "I have no problems with the effects of the mind. Would it be a problem for you two? I could always repair the damage, but it is your call." The puppet master replies with a studying glint in her eyes.

"I have natural immunities to almost every known poison. But... how will we get Shadme through? Perhaps she could fly overtop, and meet us on the other side?" pondered Sashe, nearing the tunnel that lead out of the capitol.

Marrius let her mind ponder in thought for a while before giving her reply. "The spores are air borne. Depending on the wind currents, elevation may not aid to the venture of avoidance." Rius stated finally.

"Hm... if she is willing, perhaps you could remove any insanity from her once we're through," Sashe suggested. "Are you willing?"

Hm, Shadmé thought. So they did not see the orc itself. Who knows how much of a fight it could put up? She listened to Sashe and Ruis as they talked about heading through...a psychedelic mushroom field. Her heart lurched at the thought. She had no natural immunities to poison...or did she? Mining in the Dewlaine caves sometimes released toxins into the air. Even so, there was no way Shadmé would've gained a resistance to poison.
And as Ruis said, flying wouldn't be that much help. She be either airborne, moving quickly but alone- what if something happened?- or with them, absorbing more toxic spores.
"How do you recommend is best for me to travel?" Shadmé pondered suddenly. "In the air or with you?"

"If we head through as quickly as possible, the spores may have a less pronounced effect on your mind... but I do believe that Rius could fix your mind," Sashe stated as she began to climb up the exit tunnel. It was basically a wall with rocks jutting out at randomn intervals.

"Okay..."Shadmé muttered as she climbed up the wall as swiftly as possible. "I hope it's quick. I'd rather not lose my mind, right before the Dewlaine expedition."

A rather eerie smile comes to Rius's face as her eyes glisten with some darker interest. She paces her hand over her chest in a mock bow and replies, "I shall protect you mental capacity within the best of my ability's, dear Dark Angel."

A faint smile came to Shadmé's face. "Well. I certainly feel much safer now. Let's get this over with." She stretched to grab a foothold above her head.

"Oh, don't worry. She can protect your mind, and I'll try and see if I can use the poison to direct the spores away from you. 'Tis unlikely, but it may help," Sashe assures the human.

Shadmé dipped her head. "Thanks, you two. I am sorry I do not have any immunity, heh."

Rius will wave her hand and turn away from Shadme, "Worry not, Dark Angel, it cannot be helped that you are not as resilient as us in this endeavor." She says as she continues walking.

"Yes, I'm sure you are much better at surviving falls from high places," Sashe states. Her voice wasn't shoes or sarcastic, but it didn't quite sound reassuring.

"That's right," Shadmé agreed. "I can shape the air to make the descent less...damaging, and cushion the fall more." She shifted uncomfortably, like she'd said too much.

Ooc: *snide. I didn't mean to day shoes.

OoC: Oh, phew.

ooc: hehehe!

Marrius noted the Dark Angels control over air mana accordingly, "Come along, I can't be loosing the pieces of this game so soon!" She called behind her.

Sashe emerged from the tunnel, the light hurting her eyes. The first things she noticed when her vision was restored was a small group of men, all armed, all rushing forward.

Shadmé didn't say it, but the earthy walls did not bother her as much as they would any other Aetean. That was all thanks to her time in Dewlaine. She could climb rocky walls and hunt underground while most others of her home element would prefer to fly over it instead. Without a sound she pulled herself up.

Marrius rolled her eyes at the men rushing forward. "Honestly, I don't have time for this." She muttered before she raised her staff into the air. Her eyes flashed purple as she slammed it into the ground, a flurry of concentrated mana spindling off to look like strings. "Your fellows with fall by your own hands!" Unlike her previous attempts, this was a statement rather than a command or suggestion.

Rius's use of many affected three of the men, who began to attack their fellows. While the assailants were distracted, Sashe sent a ball of fire through the chest of one man not under Rius's influence. One of the impaired (By Rius) managed to kill his fellow bandit.

Shadmé leapt to the side as the bandits rushed forward, careful not to tumble back and over the edge. She pulled out her bow and fired two arrows, quickly, aiming at one of the men not under Ruis' influence. She hoped the arrows would slow him down so the others could finish him with mana.

Ooc; Do you guys remember the enemy control mechanic?

A lucky arrow struck directly through the heart of the man targeted, killing him momentaneously. However, the men under Rius's control began to realize what they were doing.

OoC: I'm getting my RPs mixed up, oops. In some I can't control enemies, and in some I can! Guess this is one of them!

Shadmé glanced around, the leapt forward at a nearby bandit, dragging the metal part of her bow against his good shoulder. As soon as she was behind him she kicked, pummeling him forward.

ooc: Gah, too many rps with the exact opposite mentality! Sorry.

Marrius waited until only one of the bandits under her influence remained standing. She clapped her hands together slowly, "It would seem the a victor has emerged." She said in an almost amused voice before her tone lowered dangerously, "Now, then. Exit the stage, dear puppet." He struggled as if to keep from raising his sword. The effort was in vain, and when he did fall beneath his own blade Rius clapped her hands together once more with her eerie smile showing. "What a wonderful display."

Shadmé backed off, noticing the sudden lack of enemies, only to see Ruis finish off the last one. More specifically, control him to finish himself. It was all very eerie, how she did it with that smile, and nearly no remorse. Who knows what she could do with that kind of power? It was somewhat terrifying. Shadmé thanked the stars that she was on Ruis' good side...at least, she hoped she was.

Rius turned to face the others, the corners of her mouth twitching upward slightly with a form of recognition at Shadme's expression. It amused her, that much was obvious. The the hint of a smile faded as soon as it had made it's way to her face. She retrieved her staff and brushed off her clothing despite the act that they hadn't been dirtied. "Shall we proceed? Or should we search the broken corpses on the off chance that they were sent for a cause unbeknownst to ourselves." Marrius asked almost too calmly for someone who had been in a battle only moments before.

"First, I'll make sure no one fnds the bodies," states Sashe, giggling. She sweps her hand out in a grandeur fashion. As her hand passes each body, they melt, their bodies soaking into the ground. Her laughter gets louder as each body melts, eventualy quieting back to a giggle.

What party of travelers have I gotten myself into? Shadmé wondered, one of her eyes twitching as the bodies melted down. She casually moved her hand over her eye, brushing at her forehead, as if she were wiping sweat. "Yep, they'll definitely never find it now..." Shadmé muttered.

Marrius raised an eyebrow at Sashe before she speaks, "I'll take it that you had no interest in searching the corpses." She states as she turns towards Psyche, giving no glance over her shoulders at the two behind her. "Know then, shall we continue? We need to be in Psyche soon, lest we have to camp along the border."

"I only melted materials that are both attached o the body and organic," Sashe states, picking up a silver symbol.

Marrius stopped, turning to observe the symbol.

Marrius studied the symbol for a moment before she gave any response to the object. "Peculiar." She stated finally with a hint of a smile. "Perhaps it belongs to a larger piece of this game?" Rius inquired before she had started down the path once more.

"Yes. It probably symbolizes something...the unaware? The dead?" Sashe wonders aloud, gazing at the symbol.

"Oh, closed eyes can mean so much more, dear Defiler. Ignorance, blindness, the unknown, darkness... It depends on who you ask." Marrius replied with as her eyes flashed with thought. "Some people say eyes are windows to the soul. A closed or missing eye can refer to a lack of one. It could also refer to that which has been forgotten." She had begun pacing by this point. Once she had finished speaking she stopped her circle. "Of course, that is just speculation without any knowledge referring to the origin of the symbol."

Ooc: There always seems to know what stuff means before I revealit. Do you thinkyou are that person?

Ooc: Nah, I just like write a lot of (unfinished)novels for fun. That and I really enjoy strategy, science, philosophy, mythology, etc. Personally, I'm a nerd, and Rius is a great way to use such knowledge as she actually is supposed to be fairly well learned. She may be wrong, but dang if she doesn't bring up a valid point.

"Is it a symbol of Psyche?" Shadmé wondered aloud as she caught up to the others. She watched the silver flash in the light.
