ferrets are legitimately the best i love them so much

had a dream last night that i was teleported to dark52's house. he was about to go to bed, wearing his iconic spyro onesie that we all know he has. when i left his house it was like i was at a fair and each shop was a different topic.

i screamed and woke up, relieved that it was all just a dream.

then i remembered that i'm trapped here forever, and screamed again.

I think it's really interesting how gen z is really all about progression and being woke. Yet most of the beauty standards they want in a partner are very similar to cassic European beauty standards. Like for examples most filters will make you have a light shade in skin color, smoother skin, a smaller nose, etc. Like just look at most gen z influencers or celebrities with this very specific look


It's even affecting other parts of the world like Mexico and most Asian countries where lighter skin tone = more attractive.

I also saw a TikTok the other day about a girl dating a white dude and every comment was basically "when is my white prince coming" or "I need a white boy".

I knew it was only a matter of time before I locked myself out of my car. I'm just surprised it didn't happen sooner.

climbing everest is probably one of the weirdest things ever. its sounds like a fun task with rewards such as being on top of the world, seeing a great view, experiencing a once-in-a-lifetime experience, seeing dead bodies of once motivated climbers who are left to freeze and choke to death on the mountain because rescuing them would cause more danger than good.

tbh the reddit blackout is more of a mod power trip and not a protest for the greater good. you can especially tell with subreddits opening back up once they got threatened to be replaced. like oh no your janitor position is worth more than your message. but the thing about the apis is that the majority of people who use reddit don't even use apis. most people who use reddit just read the threads and leave. they most likely do not use apis to view reddit. it really only affected super mods who mod hundreds of subreddits with API tools to help them do it. why should these people have this much power? reddit is already such a circlejerk when it comes to opinions (anytime politics are mentioned) that just having any opinion mods disagree with gets deleted to create an artificial bubble of group think.

plus the blackout really is just a crabs in a bucket mentality with mods. why should they be the gatekeepers of a community discussion board. its not their subreddit. they don't own it. all they do is provide a free service. this would be the equivalent of a grocery store closing down because the owner doesn't agree with corporate not wanting to sell bacon anymore. why punish everyone when only a couple of people get affected?

the API thing is especially stupid. sure reddit wants more money but why should an application make money leeching off of them? these apis don't own the rights to the reddit site. reddit is a company not a charity. they don't owe the apis anything. they also aren't going against apis that help users with disabilities. the thing about apis too is that they approached this topic as if they were the little man fighting against the mega corporation to get support from the common man. despite the apis racking in a lot of money from the common man. reddit is well within their rights to get rid of competitors who are leeching off of their services.

finally. why do you think protesting for 2 days was gonna do anything? it would be the same as throwing a strike at your job just to go back to work a day later as if nothing happened. and again, when they got threatened to be replaced subreddits opened back up with their tails between their legs. the thing is. wouldn't being fired from reddit make your cause look even better?

this whole thing was just an incontinence for the 99% of people who use reddit.

birthday just went by for me bf insisted on doing something for it even though i normally do not celebrate it and baked me a cake from scratch first time anyone has ever even gave me a cake on my birthday let alone make one from scratch it made me happy

i thought about it a lot today that i really am surprised i am in a relationship that does seem to work after i met so many dudes that continuously hurt me in some way were crazy perverts or just plain creepy (quite a few of those i met because of this forum even) but i found someone who is not like any of that and i am very happy about that now
