As BrutalBash steps up to the slot machine for another spin, a blinding flash of light encompasses the entire beach, causing the players, and Zip Toad, to let out frightened screams. They all hear the echoing sounds of a clock's ticking and the island rocks with a massive tremor!

The blinding light deposits everyone, including Zip Toad, into the central room. HIR is standing there, clasping the Urn of Anguish and a confused look. "Well, that's one way to make an entrance." He mutters.

"W-What happened?!" Seiki gasped. "I was winning at the slots and now... we're here?!"

"And it's nighttime!" BrutalBash gasped, pointing out the temple toward the night sky. "But... but that's impossible."

"Unless you just time traveled." HIR noted. All eyes on the room instantly turned to HIR. "Well, I DID give out the patented Time Tunneler yesterday. Clearly someone wanted this challenge to be skipped entirely."

"What does that mean?!" DragonCamo gasped.

"It means, since the challenge was not concluded, no one here has immunity. So you're all viable for banishment." He explained.

"But we haven't voted yet! Check that crazy urn of yours, it's true." Crystalhero complained.

"Then I guess we're voting right now!" HIR stated with enthusiasm.

"Whoa, this is a bigger plot twist than when it was revealed I was the bad guy in Walker, Koopa Ranger." Zip Toad added, to the groans of the other players.

Due to time travel, it is now Night 8!
The challenge has been cancelled and no one wins! No rewards have been given!
Players, you each have until 4:30 pm EDT (about 20 hours from the time of this post) to PM me your choice for who you want to banish. You ARE allowed to change your mind before deadline. There was no immunity given, so everyone is fair game.

Please include "Night 8 Banish Vote" in the subject line, so I don't forget your vote. If you fail to submit a vote before the deadline, I will assume you are voting for yourself. In the event of a tie, a Banishment Duel will be performed. Note that from here on out, banished players will have a say in the challenge for the final day.

HIR collects the votes and examines them with a curious raised eyebrow, then sets them back inside the urn. While he fiddles with the pieces of paper, the players notice the mud pit is gone, replaced by a large stone tile with a monkey engraved into it. A large gong is behind the host and a mallet is positioned on the table. Additionally, they each have a torch behind their pedestal.

"So before we get on with this, I just wanted to remind you guys that the game has shifted a bit." He began. "It's no longer about doing what's best for a team, but what you think will help you cruise to victory."

"Exactly!" Pika piped up. "Which is why I'll be sorely disappointed if a certain serious threat isn't put down tonight."

"Would you say you see yourself as tough competition?" HIR asked, turning the subject back on Pika.

"Err... um... well... I can't say for certain." Pika responded, laughing nervously.

"You led the Flaming Spyros. That takes a bit of courage, does it not?" HIR pointed out.

"Hey, hey, why the grill session? I'm not in trouble am I?" Pika nervously asked.

"Actually, you're one of the bottom two." HIR flatly responded, causing Pika to bit his lower lip. He looked at his two former teammates, and both shook their heads as if to indicate they did not vote for him.

"So who's the other one?" DragonCamo asked.

"Unsurprisingly, Seiki." HIR muttered, causing Seiki to reel back, quite surprised. "Hmmm... why the shock?" He asked.

"I figured that my friends from EC would keep me around at least until we picked off the old Flaming Spyros. I mean, we had the numbers on them since my cunning trick sent DummyZ packing." Seiki explained.

"Well, it's certainly true that party lines were followed." HIR noted. "But 2 members of your old team didn't quite get the memo, which is why the eight player banished and the second member of the Final Challenge Brigade is..." He went quiet for a second, before calmly stating, "Seiki." Seiki looked downcast as HIR picked up the mallet and struck the gong behind him. The action caused the flame burning atop Seiki's torch to be exterminated. "Sorry Seiki, but you have to go."

"Whoa! That's some pretty deep stuff there. Almost as deep as when I tried a stint on Broadway." Zip Toad chimed in, totally killing the mood and make Seiki leave even quicker.

"Why are you still here?" HIR growled.

"I've got some time before we start filming the next season of my wonderful TV soap, All My Sister's Roommates. So I figured a nice, tropical island would be a fantastic place for I, the great Zip Toad, to take a vacation." Zip Toad explained.

"Ugh... look guys, just go." He glared at Zip Toad. "Please don't come back tomorrow."

"I don't have to listen to you. You're not the one signing Zip Toad's checks, baby." He snaps his fingers and exits with the rest of the competitors.

Seiki has been banished! He is member number two of the Final Challenge Brigade!
