OoC: That's fine by me! Do you want me to create the riddle-teller's appearance, or would you rather do that as well?
I glanced up at the stars above, wondering if they'd give me an answer. A single one glowed bright, and cast a frail beam of light somewhere into the forest. That's it!

I ducked as my shadow launched another apple, and leapt up to strike it out of the tree. It worked and the shadow tumbled to the ground. I gave it a few more slashes, then jumped away, taunting it. It got up and shot a blast of darkness, which I ducked to avoid. My bow was charged and I shot a backward-dash shot, hitting it in the center again. It advanced toward me, and I jumped into a tree, firing some blasts from my bow. Once the shots met their mark, I leapt into another tree and repeated. Eventually my shadow got the idea and climbed into a tree after me.

I jumped from tree to tree, using my wings to glide. I was still struck by how amazing it was to fly on my own. It shot one of my wings with darkness, and I hit the ground. Note to self: gloating during battle, even if it's in your mind, is NEVER a good idea. The shadow came after me, and I had to quickly roll away so it didn't smash my wings. That would be the ultimate karma.

After a little back-and-forth long ranging between the shadow and I, I nearly had it where I wanted it. It was almost under the beam of light projected by the star. As soon as the light hit its body, it burst into a puff of smoke, which dissipated. I smiled in satisfaction at my victory. All of a sudden, my landscape transformed in front of me. I was standing on a dark, icy peak of a mountain. Was this the second trial?

Jason looked at the old man that just appeared where Aren use to be. "Um....it can fly, or float...I drink water, never swallow, and just spit it out" He said to himself, thinking how he hates riddles. "What floats, takes water, but spits it put? A cloud!" I yell out.

After a quite a bit of confusion, all was explained to poor Solar, who was as confused as ever could be.
"So I'm some chosen dude or something?" He asked the white griffin in confusion.
"True! Very true!" She replied in a quite peppy tone, It was like she could get happy over anything.
"Oh ok, so is there anything I need to do? Like tests or something?" He asked.
"Wow! You're smart!" The griffin replied, but soon stopping for a second, "Oh! Golly, I almost forgot! The name is Flash!" She replied.
"Uh...Nice to meet you flash...." Solar said to her, "So I'm guessing there is some test? By the sounds of it it's not gonna be easy..." He then added. Solar was awnsered with a nod of the griffin's head.

OoC: Uggghhh, I've heard this like, once before…I'm guessing it has something to do with darkness or death, though…oh wait! A coffin!

((Yeah, it's a coffin.

Also, prex, you go through a training session, the you're tested by your mentor, then you start the trial to see of you truly are a Chosen One. Also, you can still play as your other character. Just they won't be able to go to Erydina, or be as important as Solar.))

Solar looked across the land, nothing but clouds, but if one where to look down from the clouds, a lush green meadow surrounding a huge forest was spotted. "So, what's the test?" He asked Flash curiously.

"Well..." She replied, "It's more of a test of power and agility...."

Jason looked confused at the old man. "Well," he said "that was weird."

"Hm, so this tells me I'll need my dragon form?" He asked curiously
"At some points yes." She added. "The Sky is your training ground! Training starts now! You may practice flight or fire, the clouds here react a special way to a holy flame!" Flash then said happily.
"Alright then, May luck be with me..." Solar said to himself as he shifted into his dragon form, and flew off to start training.

I looked at the old man in confusion. A riddle? I remembered loving to solve riddles all the time as a young one. Why would this one slip my mind? If I didn't give the right answer, I "will have a long, long rest." That didn't sound good, so I listened closely to the riddle.

"The Buyer doesn’t need it."
Well, that didn't narrow anything down. Shop owners sold many things that they'd never use or need in ten lifetimes.

"The Seller doesn’t use it."
What? Why would someone buy something they didn't need? Unless it was a gift or something.

"The User doesn’t see it."
Gifts were wrapped but the user saw them eventually…wait. User and seller were different things. So the seller would get it, and the user would use it. What's the difference? My gaze drifted to a skeleton on the mountain, cold and alone. Nobody had thought to bury this person a long time ago, or give them a ritual, or-

Wait. That was it!

"What is it?"

"It is a coffin!" I answered confidently.

((We just have to wait for derpy and CL to catch up.))

OoC: X3 I tend to do riddles piece by piece.

I stared at the place the man was, his words ringing in my mind. Was he insisting that I should not be so excited for battle? I understood his point- we darkness elementals put duels first- but I hoped that I wouldn't bring "darkness and death". The background faded and blurred around me as I was sent to the location of the next trial.

((Just hold on for the inspection, of derpy and CL don't catch up tonight, we can get to the point where we'd be at the castle, just waiting for the other Chosen Ones.))

OoC: So I get teleported to the castle, then? :0

((No, there's still the inspection, and the battle without using yor element. You can do Thai right now, or you can wait for the others to catch up.))

Solar smiled, he loved soaring through the air, and when he let a blast of golden fire at the clouds, they flashed with a beautiful golden shine, just like the fire. The young dragon shifter enjoyed this training quite well. "Woho! This is awesome!" he shouted happily, and soon landed nearby Flash again.

OoC: Well, do I get inspected alongside the others, or is it a separate process? How do I get inspected?

OOC: if anyone is waiting for the others, i don't mind if someone does take the role of the mentor for the light chosen one, Flash for a little while, its a little hard RPing with myself, and would be a little more fun too.

((It's practically a quiz, them making sure you know everything a Chosen One should know. Also, besides for the different the things you can do, you need to know that the most common weapon of choice for dark elementals is a scythe.))

Do you have a quiz generated, or do I have to come up with it myself?

Flash looked at Solar. "C'mon." She said encouragingly "Shoot a blast of pure light at that rock down there." She said pointing her head toward the rock.

OoC: I'm gonna watch what you do with the quiz first before I do mine, is that okay? X3

Solar blinked, "Pure light? Uh, ok.." He replied and done as instructed, flying down to the rock and then generating a powerful light energy and shooting it at the rock.

((All it is is your character being asked simple questions. Air would be something like this:

What beast do you turn I to?
What is the sub-element you control?
What is the most common air weapon?

Stuff like that.

Also, beasts:

Air: Gargoyle
Earth: An earth golem
Water: Sea creatures
Fire: Phoenix
Light: Angel/Dragon of Light
Darkness: Demon (dark angel)/Dragon of Darkness

Most common weapon:

Air: Sword
Earth: Battlehammer (a long staff, with the head of a hammer at the end)
Water: Trident
Fire: Twin Katanas
Light: Spear/Lance
Darkness: Scythe))
