Shadow hid behind a large evergreen tree as he watched the cat claw at the ground and growl in frustration. "Pathetic. I almost feel bad for the thing." He thought. Shadow slowly made his way around the tree, and lunged at the cat, letting out a loud mechanical bark as he did so. Kenya looked at Shadow with wide eyes, and immediately turned and started to sprint towards any sign of safety. Shadow chased after her, eyes narrowed, ready for a quick hunt.

OOC: Okay, Underian. I probably won't be able to get on much over the weekend, anyway.

Maks padded softly and cautiously through the complex, ever heading toward the sound of the banging. His skin crawled as he looked around at all the helpless robotic animals behind walls. What he didn't understand was why no one else was around. Why could he walk through the area so freely? Didn't seem safe, or smart, to him. Still, he kept moving. Then he caught a flash of movement to his right. He stopped, looking in that direction, and had to a double take to make sure he wasn't seeing things. It was the alpaca! There, looking out the window. But just as quickly as it showed up, it ducked down. Maks let out a low growl of frustration. He could still hear the frantic pounding of another poor creature trying to escape. It was just up ahead. But that alpaca - that was the whole reason he'd come. If only he could free them all! No, he argued with himself. Only one. Stop this foolish risk-taking for the sake of others. With one more glance up ahead, Maks turned toward the window where he'd seen the alpaca. Glancing around, he saw a metal rod on the ground, probably a spare part. He picked it up, then backed up. Taking a breath, he gathered his speed and raced toward the window. He leaped from the ground, turned his head, and struck the glass window with the rod. The glass shattered with a crack. Maks landed on his feet on the ground and spit the rod from his mouth, licking his lips to try to get the horrid taste out of his mouth. Then he looked to the window, crouched low, and leaped within, hoping the alpaca was alright. At least he was awake. That was a far cry from before.

Maks landed lightly on the floor and turned toward the alpaca. He could see the worry on his face and tried to calm himself so he'd seem less terrifying. But he couldn't shake his tenseness. The fact that no one had stopped him at all since his entry into the place didn't bode well. "It's alright," he said to the alpaca. "I'm a friend. My name is Maks. I saw you fall down the mountain and have been trailing you ever since. Are you alright?"

"Sure..." Maks replied, hesitantly as he glanced to the window. He didn't like the sound of that vulture. It sounded like an alarm. He shook himself from his anxiousness, looking back to Leroy. "How fast do you think you can run on those new legs?" The screech came again, causing his eyes to dart back to the window. He crouched low, watching. "And are you any good in a fight?" He asked in a low growl, his skin beginning to crawl with alarm.

"Alright," Maks said. He wasn't completely sure if he trusted the alpaca. He'd heard from plenty that had received the mechanical parts that they were difficult to get used to. Still, Leroy had proved to be quite hardy. Maks looked to the window again, then nodded toward it. "Think you can make it out that way?"

Maks tried to keep himself from laughing at Leroy. The guy had spunk, that was for sure. He moved up behind him and gently nudged his back end up through the window.

Maks leaped through the window, landing lightly next to Leroy. "Sorry. I didn't mean to push quite so hard." He looked around, his ears on alert again. First he looked north, the direction he'd come from. Then he looked south. Both directions seemed clear. For now. "I think the best way out is going to be to the south," Maks told Leroy. "I came in from the north, but there's no way we're getting back out that way. I came over the wall, and I had a tree for help. To the south I saw a drainage pipe before I came in. That may be our ticket out of here."

Maks lead the way through the compound, heading south. Suddenly he stopped as the sound of metal on metal reached his ears. It was the same animal as earlier, begging once again for escape. Maks looked back, hesitating...

"No," Maks said, pulling himself from his thoughts. "Let's keep going." He turned his attention south and moved on through the complex, his gut churning for those he was leaving behind. He continued to try to tell himself there was no time. If he wanted to save himself and Leroy, they had to leave. Now. It was the best thing. He wondered again why there was no resistance as he padded through the compound. Not even a guard. And then he heard it. A barely audible creak of metal. He spun around and crouched low, ready to attack. Almost two dozen mechanical beasts stepped out of the shadows and stepped deliberately toward he and Leroy. Maks let out a fierce roar, barring his teeth. He was ready for the fight!

Maks glanced to the small creature beside him, sensing his fear. "Do you want to fight, or run?" He asked, though he knew what he wanted to do. Still, his main mission here was Leroy. He had to get him out in one piece. Otherwise, he came for nothing. He waited for the alpaca's answer, keeping a close eye on the approaching enemies.

"Alright," Maks said, "I'll clear us a path. As soon as you see an opening, run!" He took a breath and spun around without hesitation, pinning a mechanical bull down behind him and sinking his teeth into it's neck. The other creatures let out fierce growls and hollers and leaped at him. He went to work with ease. It always surprised him how well he could fight. He kicked his back legs into an approaching pig, slashed his front right claws at a leopard, and spun his head toward a jackal, sinking his teeth into it. The three fell back, the jackal dead, but more came. He leaped onto another jackal, not stopping to wonder if they were the two who had brought Leroy here. He killed it by sinking his teeth into it's neck, then leaped onto the leopard who was coming back for more. once again he sank his teeth into the neck. A wolf slashed at his back end, and he spun toward it with a fierce growl. He slashed out at it with his claws, getting angry. The pig from earlier approached from his left, a reindeer from his right, and three dogs from behind. He kicked out at the dog in the middle, made quick work of the pig with his teeth, and continued to claw at the wolf. Knocking the wolf back, he spun around in time to face the three dogs, slicing his claws at the neck of one, lunging out and grabbing the other by the neck, then spinning back around to face the reindeer, grabbing it with his teeth and throwing it aside, while kicking his back claws into the neck of the third dog. They all fell. Now all that was left was the wolf. They fought, each slashing out at the other, snarling and growling. This one was strong. Suddenly Maks was dive-bombed by a vulture, letting out a shriek. Annoyed, he leaped into the air and snatched it, throwing it aside like a rag doll. He turned his attention back to the wolf, ready to end the fight.

I-8-U answered by saying,"Affirmative.". A puff of smoke was emitted from his horns as he charge into the weak wall tearing through making a large hole. The animals noticed as a red alarm rang off, the animals scurried into corners while a group of deer stepped as the low-level guards. Four was watching from a corner and was trying to evacuate female animals and children while a group of cyborg humming birds began firing small bullets at the intruders.

OOC: It's okay! Don't worry about it. I just thought it was funny that SPARX and I were like the only ones on this page.

Bentley watched the chaos unfolding inside the complex in fear. "Okay, this was definitely a bad idea!" He said, unable to shake his nerves.
"Man up," Sundance said, harshly. Bentley gave her a look. Sometimes he got tired of her rude and cruel manor. But she was the only friend he had. His head fell. All the others were gone. "Lee, get in there!" Sundance was ordering. "Find out their weaknesses, complex layout, everything! You know the drill!" Lee gave a barely perceptible nod and flew off. "Bentley!" Sundance called to him, looking to him with fierce eyes. "Get the laptop!" Bentley sighed, obeying. He knew the drill. He reached into Sundance's saddlebag and withdrew a laptop and a headset. "Secure yourself a spot and report everything to me!" Bentley nodded, not saying a word as he put the headset on. It was useless to argue with Sundance. He took a steadying breath and leaped from Sundance's back, pulling out his sword. He'd been trained to use it, though he hated the very thought. Ducking low to avoid the bullets now streaming toward him, he glanced around and saw a large pine tree. Sundance ran toward the enemy, eager to fight. Bentley kept his attention on the tree he'd spotted, trying to ignore the sounds of battle. He rushed toward it, and suddenly a deer was in his way. He struck at it with his sword, his heart sinking. The deer fell. Bentley had hit his mark. He glanced down at the deer, a deep sadness rushing into him, but he pulled his attention away and clamored up the tree, sitting in the safety of the leaves. He sighed with relief. No more fighting. Settling into a comfortable position, he set the laptop down and opened it up, watching the screen buzz to life as an image formed. Now he could see everything Lee did and through the headset, he could report it all to Sundance.

OOC: Sorry for the double post, but I really like this RP and want to keep going with it.

Maks faced off against the wolf. It was glaring at him. They were both ready for a fight. Maks knew he was strong. Before leaping in, he turned to Leroy, seeing if he'd gotten away. He snarled at him, a bit angry when he saw him still standing there. "Run!" Yet he knew why the alpaca wasn't moving. It was the same endless debate that always went on inside himself. Leaving one to fend for them-self and saving your own skin, or staying and offering a helping hand, even if it meant you might not make it. He turned back to the wolf. Whether the alpaca ran or not, he would finish the wolf. It was all he could do. He thought things over as they continued to face off, each waiting for the other to make the first move. What he needed was a distraction. A distraction! That was it. He turned back to the alpaca. "Run!" He shouted again, less angry. "It's okay, really! Go! You'll be helping me!" He stepped aside, allowing he wolf to have a clear view of the white alpaca. A wolf couldn't help his hunting instinct. If Leroy ran, the wolf would give chase!

OOC: Don't worry about it. I didn't really leave you much room to reply, as I went back to my other characters.

Maks couldn't help but grin in excitement as the wolf did just as he'd assumed it would. It charged after Leroy, ready for a quick meal. Maks leaped into action, racing after the wolf, adrenaline pumping through his veins. How he loved a good race! He was soon upon the wolf and spryly sprang upon it's back, taking it to the ground and quickly slicing at it's neck with his right fore-claw. The poor beast was unprepared and could do nothing in defense. It was soon lying in a pool of blood, no longer moving. Maks backed away from the disturbing sight, looking away. He searched ahead for Leroy, making sure he was alright.
