ooc: Okay, good night.

Soul looked ahead, watching the blind Espeon curiously. He wondered how she could tell where she was going, how she could avoid running into things. She seemed to be perfectly capable of navigating the land, and could even sense other Pokemon. He just sighed and shook his head, thinking she was just a strange Psychic type Pokemon.

Curly hurried her way on over to where the smoke was pluming from. Worry plucked at the back of her mind as she made her way steadily to where she knew the fire had started. The Eevee wasn't entirely sure if she wanted to see it, but she did know it was her duty to be there, even if fire was a great fear of hers. For a second, she hesitated, not certain she wanted to go further.
'Curly! C'mon, you can do it, you have to do it. Get yourself moving.' snapped her thoughts. The Ice Eevee gave a light sigh, and tightened her grip on the pup's scruff.
She pushed her way into the scene, and her eyes widened in shock. She hadn't expected it to be this bad, and for a few heartbeats she was paralyzed by surprise, confused on what to do now. The flames were a bit much for her, as her pelt fluffed out and her back started to arch as she made herself look smaller with fear.
'So much fire...' she thought with terrified eyes, 'What do I do?'

The pup's eyes widened at the scene, tears gushing out almost immediately. "N-No......this isn't.....supposed....to happen! H-How?" He bawled and then stopped, just long enough to listen. He only held out for a second though. "Mama! Papa! Unkie Lye! Auntie Felire!" He called out with a few other random names. "...no. They're all gone." He bawled.

Finally the company was out of the forest fire. Whew....


ooc: .......I've changed my mind. Losiyeon's just going to blow things up as he always does. That's all he's good for anyway. Besides, he isn't funny. He's just fun to laugh at.

ooc: Whatever. That's fine by me.

Psiana sighed in relief that they were finally away from the flames. Soul wasn't as concerned with the fire itself, but he wished they could have saved more of them. He then growled quietly as he thought of who could have possibly done this.

Amiti blinked. "Hey Losi, where is Curly anyway? I thought she was with you." Losi blinked. "Oh, no," He quickly replied, "We uh....separated after a while. I dunno where she went. I just did a few odd jobs here and now and cleaned up some of the war mess. I did see her again quite a few times but....ehhh....." He kinda just avoided the subject altogether. Amiti shrugged.
Losi blinked. "So, how'd you get in those casts." He asked, nosing one. "They're freshly spun. Made today by the looks of it. What happened?" He said, though it was no funny tone anymore. Losi was getting pretty serious.
Amiti thought about it. Should I tell him? Well....someone else's probably gonna give it away anyway. Mmm...now I feel sorry for that mean piece of rock. Only trying to feed his family after all.... Amiti kept silent. Losi frowned.

Shade ran ahead, having the lightest load, and getting to the Meeting Area a lot quicker now they were out of the fire. He made the pokemon there help arrange a spot for the young Eevee's to be put and any other pokemon injured from the fire.

Psiana reached the Meeting Area, and put her group of young Eevees with the others. Then she guided Soul to the spot, which sort of annoyed him, since she was blind and he could see where to go.

One the Eevees were safe, the strange Espeon started to quietly take her leave. Soul noticed and just huffed, letting out a puff of smoke. He didn't care if she stuck around or not. He was kind of curious about her, though. Who was she, and how come her eyes were sewn together like that?

Shade uttered a quick word of thanks to her just before she left and then sighed, trying to keep the Pokemon from crowding the poor things to death. And wait, where was Amiti and Losi? The eevee's they had were dropped off, but they were nowhere to be seen.

Soul shrugged and decided to put any more thought on the strange Espeon. Instead, he headed over to a nice, soft patch of grass, and decided to lay down for a quick nap. He lay down on his stomach and curled up, wrapping his tail around himself.

Psiana headed off into the forest, not really wanting to stick around for too long. Socializing was not her thing, and there were surely other Pokemon who needed help with one thing or another.

Losiyeon, carrying Amiti, happened to run by Psiana as he was heading back to the forest fire. "Oh! Hiyas, again!" Amiti smiled. "I-I never caught your name." He asked. Losi was attentively looking at the forest fire, moving his head like he was searching for something.

Psiana stopped, her ears perked up as she heard a voice. She turned towards the sound.
"Oh. You. Hello." She spoke quietly, not sounding all too trilled to run into them again. "If you must know, my name is Psiana." She said. She turned her head more towards Losi, as if she were watching him through her sewn eye sockets.

"That's a nice name." Amiti smiled warmly at her. "So how do you see where you're going? I mean, y'know. Being blind and all." He asked innocently.

Losi sniffed the air and then began walking toward the fire again, a frown on his face.

Psiana 'looked' at Amiti, her sewn shut eyes seemed to stare right at him, as if she really could see him.
"Well, as you can plainly see, I am in fact blind, and no longer posses any sense of vision. But as a Psychic type, more importantly, as an Espeon, I can use my abilities to sense the surrounding area. As you may know, Espeon are quite sensitive to minute changes. We can predict things, such as weather, and others' movements. Add that to my natural heightened senses, and I can get around just fine." She explained.

"Ohhh...." Amiti blinked, nodding to show he understood. "Were you.....always like this? Losi, stop!" He said. Losi did, and still said nothing, but stared ahead. Then Losi sighed and closed his eyes, waiting for Amiti to finish.

"No. I was not born blind. I lost the use of my eyes a long time ago. I had to have them removed because they burned so bad. I barely even remember what it is like to see." Psiana answered. She then turned her head in Losi's direction, wondering why he seemed to be in such a hurry to go somewhere.

"I'm sorry. I could try to heal you!" Amiti asked hopefully. Losi flicked his ears impatiently. He just had a feeling that he was missing something and whatever it was, it was in that fire.

Psiana gently shook her head.
"No. There is no use. Nothing can be done to heal my vision. Not even my ability, Morning Sun, is at all helpful. I no longer even have eyes in which to see, and my empty eye sockets have been sewn shut, just so they don't look as gory as they did the day they were removed. But do not feel sorry for me. I do not miss my vision. I no longer feel a need for it. my Psychic abilities work just fine." She said.

"Oh, okay." Amiti looked a little saddened. "Well, thank you for helping!" He smiled happily.

Psiana gave a slight nod.
"Why of course. I could not allow such innocent creatures to suffer. I fully plan on finding the ones behind this. But I expect such a task to be difficult. The ruffians are likely long gone by now. I only wonder what they could have been after in the first place. This is not likely a random attack." She pondered.

The little eevee Curly was holding shook. "I...I'm sorry....I-I thought m-maybe they could be saved...." He sniffed and wept.

Losiyeon looked at Psiana. "....they were looking for experiment material." He said gravely. "I should've realized this sooner. D@amnit....they're still alive? After all we've went through to get rid of those WORMS." He growled angrily, fur bristling. Amiti's face turned pale with horror. "You...you mean....all those eevees." Losi gritted his teeth. "Yes, they're a live alright. Well, most of them. Some they left purposely to be consumed by the flames and leave evidence." He looked at Psiana. "If you would, I want to ask you a favor." He stated, turning to face her with steel cold determined eyes.

"And what sort of favor might this be exactly?" She asked curiously.

"I want you to protect the Eevees we've rescued so far. My guess is that they'll raid them again. And soon. They wanted us to come and rescue these ones. They'll go after them again." Losi growled. "Well, your choice." And with that, he was off. "Hey!" Amiti protested, but this time Losi didn't stop. He shot straight ahead into the flames. "Uhh, goodbye!" Came Amiti's faint voice.

"Farewell then." Psiana sighed, mostly talking to herself in her quiet voice. "I suppose this means I have to go back and look after those Eevees. Though I don't very much like the idea of being in such a large crowd and conversing with several others. However, one often has to do what must be done. Best I hurry up and head back then." She muttered to herself. Then Pisana started heading back to the Meeting Area.

Curly shook her head and turned away, the fur on her spine rippling with fright, "Nobody could have known, little one. Let's just get away." She turned away from the area and darted into the forest, keeping her chin high to support the pup.
"I don't believe I caught your name?" she asked casually, trying to keep him from thinking about the scene.

The pup sniffed, tears rolling down. ".....I-I don't have one. T-Tomorrow would've been my Naming Ceremony."

Losiyeon darted through some of the fires that were raging onward. Amiti clung with all he could, his bones hurting a bit from all the excitement today. He came across the area they rescued everyone, just in time to see a light blue figure vanish. His eyes widened. Then the scent hit him, for just a second, for the fire was fierce. "Curly....." He muttered. Amiti's eyes widened and he looked around. "Wh-Where? Sis? Where?" Losi bounded after Curly.

Psiana sighed as she reached the Meeting Area. She sensed the presence of the young Eevees and walked over to them. She would stay close for their protection, but wasn't really interested in socializing with anyone.

While Soul was resting on nearby smooth rock, he looked over to see that the strange Espeon had come back, and was checking up on the little Eevees. He just sighed and closed his eyes to take a nap.

Curly frowned around his scruff, "Aww... We'll get you a name tomorrow, okay?" she set down the pup a ways from the fire, and brought up ice around where she places him.
"I'm going to go back and see if there's anything salvageable. You stay here, and if something happens just shout, alright?" the elder Eevee looked down at him, wondering if he'd be alright.

Shade yawned, tired now. Most of the pokemon in the Meeting Field were arranging where to put all these young'uns temporarily. He was tired now and his head spinning. Then he noticed Psiana, but didn't really bother much, other than he felt it was strange that she kept back. If any, he knew her type usually remained alone and didn't come back after a job finished. Now where was Soul?

The little pup nodded quivering a little as he was set down on the ice. He kept his head up though, too afraid to set it down.

Losiyeon very nearly crashed into Curly, if he hadn't accidentally tripped. "Gah!" he said, his face smashing flat into the ground and Amiti was launched right into Curly. "Aah!" Amiti cried out. Well, y'know, injured Eevees shouldn't really be tossed around and crashing into things like that.

"Gah!" the Eevee was nearly knocked into the poor pup, and she narrowly managed to catch her younger brother when he came tumbling into her face. She let him his her square in the chest, allowing her to roll backwards for a safer landing.
"Amiti!" Curly gasped, clearly distressed by his shout but sill a bit more focused on the fire that was still crackling in the distance, "What's happened? Do you know anything at all!?"

The little one was pretty surprised and kinda frightened. He started to shake a bit.

Losi was well....spitting dirt and burnt bark out of his mouth. Bleh.....

Amiti blinked. "S-Sis!" He nuzzled her the best he could, though his body was quite hurting all over and his face kinda showed it. Not to mention he was kind of immobile right now due to his casts. "I-I dunno. There was a forest fire....I j- I just had to try and help!" He whimpered.

Curly set Amiti down near to the pup and nuzzled him back as lightly as possible. At his awkward explanation, she nodded and commented that she was very proud of him for trying so hard.
"Keep still, Amiti. Those casts are there for a reason." she eventually said, and decided not to ask about the casts. Upon glancing at the young one to see if he was alright, she gave a small smile and swept her tail over the pup's shoulders to assure him that she knew what she was doing.
"We should keep the both of you safe... And out here is far safer than over there. I was just about to head back to see if we could rescue anything from the flames," she explained, padding over to see if Losi was alright, "It's more than fantastic that you two are both as okay as you are now!"

Psiana tended to the little ones with gentleness and sweetness of a mother, showing a softer side to her character as she tried to keep them calm and make them feel safe.

Soul was curled up on that same rock, not too far off. He appeared to be sleeping, but he wasn't fully asleep yet.

Amiti weakly smiled at Curly and then looked at the small frightened pup. "It's okay. You don't need to be scared." And he scooted a little closer to the little guy. The young pup seemed a little less fearful, and somewhat relieved to see someone closer to his own age.

Losi was muttering something about hidden roots as he spat dirt out of his mouth. He gulped as Curly walked up to him. "Er...Hi, Curly. How've you been since we......" He trailed off. Crap, I fell right into that one!

Curly nudged him, "As nice as it would be to have such long but pleasant greetings, we got a forest fire on our paws. We should really go check and see if we can recover anything. Amiti, young one, please stay here until we get back. Alright?"

Amiti nodded. It wasn't like either of them could get away even if they wanted to.

Losi sighed in relief. "Yeah. Well, the dens are empty, except for a few dead bodies around. I didn't see any other stuff besides some odd sticks and stones." He told her, having gone through most of the den holes.

Shade walked up to her. Most of the pups were either sleeping, or passed out from all the excitement now. Shade looked at them, then sort of nudging a few so there'd be room for all of them and they wouldn't smother one another to death.

"Hmm... I'll look for myself. We should try to get this fire out with our ice powers. C'mon." Curly began to turn away before glancing back at the two younger Pokemon, "And we'll be right back."
Without waiting for Losi to reply, Curly bounded off towards where she'd come at full speed. She was actually rather quick when she wasn't being careful, so she plowed her way through the shrubs that were in her path. She wanted to get close enough where she could use Blizzard to try to put out the flames, as that was her best bet at trying to calm the fire down.

Psiana's senses picked up on his presence before he had even walked over there.
"At least they are getting rest now. The poor things." She said quietly.

Shade nodded. "Yeah. We're fortunate we escaped with as many as we did."

The Ariados healer was scuttling about bandaging burn wounds and going from Eevee to Eevee and fixing them up the best she could.

Losi frowned and then looked at Amiti and them, then bounded off after Curly.

The fire was thick and hot. Most of the area was completely blackened by the fire and the fires that were still burning were accelerating fast through unburned areas.

Curly coughed against the smoke and began to summon up her strength. She began by using Hail, summoning up blasts of snow and chunks of ice that fell upon the flames. She knew it wasn't going to do too too much, but it'd increase the amount of snow and ice Blizzard had. She Braced herself, trying to gather the energy for the next move.

"Yes. I'd hate for something to happen to these little ones. I wasn't really planning on sticking around, but I decided to come back. Running into that friend of yours made me realize that these young ones aren't quite out of the woods yet. Danger may follow them, I'm afraid." She said sadly.

"Then we need to be on guard." Shade agreed.

Losi caught up with Curly, waving his paw around in a futile attempt to clear the smoke. "Ugh...hate fire. Not good for us Ice-types." He saw her charging up. He decided to do the same. "I'm with you. On three. One...."

Psiana turned her head to face the Shinx and nodded.
"Right. We must be prepared for anything. I will not allow these young ones to get hurt. I will protect them with my life if I have to." She said, determination in her tone of voice.

Shade looked away. "Well, I doubt a frontal attack will work again. There's too many strong pokemon around here...." He yawned again. Boy was he tired.

"True. But you never know. It is best to expect the unexpected and be prepared. For the moment, though, you should probably get some rest. You sound tired. I'll stay with the little ones." Psiana said.

Soul was already fast asleep on that rock.

"Alright...." Shade nodded, and found a nice patch not too far away to curl up and sleep. And thus he did.

Psiana stayed with the young Eevees to keep them safe. She wasn't feeling too tired, and would be alert while on duty.

"Two..." Curly growled as she felt the energy building, ready burst out. She could hear the wind whipping around her as the move was about to be used, how the air seemed to twist and swirl like a sheet of cloth wrapping her into winter's embrace.
'Now!' "Three!" she howled, as the move Blizzard unleashed its fury onto the blaze with an icy wrath.

Losi did the same, unleashing their combined Blizzard's that covered the area of the fire. It was working! The ice was putting out the fire! But the attack had to keep going for it to be out completely without revival.

Amiti sniffed around, making sure there wasn't some unknown scent in the air. He didn't smell anything.

Curly strained to keep Blizzard moving, gritting her teeth angrily as the winds lashed the snow violently across the embers still hot on the forest floor, extinguishing them mostly. She had to keep up her strength for a little while longer, just to be sure nothing would come back.
"Losi, wait until I'm all out. Then you take over and give the final blast. That should be able to cover it." the Ice Pokemon hissed through her teeth, finding it hard to talk over the combined concentration of moving the ice energy and howling winds. She was draining fast, and she guessed that only a few minutes later would she be too exhausted to continue such a massive action.

Losi nodded and waited, gathering his strength for the final. "It's.....good to see you." He said softly.

"Yeah." she grunted, starting to feel the drain on her body, "Nice to see you're still kicking."
After another moment Curly choked for air and had to release, flopping onto her haunches as she began to feel a bit dizzy from energy loss. She felt a bit shaky from how much strength it took to bend the winds so much, and coughed a bit.
"Go, Losi, go!" panted the Ice Eevee.
