"They come out at night, get burnt by the sun, can't do anything that has to do with something holy, and they are deathly allergic to garlic," Chloe said the last part a bit hesitantly.

"ah hell no, you too? No, we arent allergic to garlic, the holy water sh-t is a hoax, we get the worst sunburn ever and are weaker dujring the day, not to mention sunlight does hurt us. Its a b-tch."

"Oh I see," Chloe said trying to remember these few things.

"purebloods are vampires who were born that way, from pureblood parents. There are precious few of us left. Im one of them. So is remilia." she said, picking at a broken nail. "we're not indestructable. Not even close."

"Do you age?" Chloe asked.

"extremely slowly." she said. "and drinking blood is mandatory. Killing isnt, but drinking is."

"What about created vampires?" she then asked.

"well, they tend to kill their first meal, since they havent drunk yet... If they have an older vampire around this is usually prevented, by force most of the time. Same weaknesses, less strength, but considerably stronger than a human. Not anywhere near as strong as a pureblood or a vampire human born person."

"Oh I see, and what about becoming a witch?" Chloe then asked viewing her options.

"i have no idea. I can take you to talk to patchouli though."

"Okay," I say with a smile.

My computer glitched, bluh... Stupid...

Koren nodded, and pulled her down into shadow, and zoomed away.

Lyren sighed. "And off she goes again..."

"..." Chloe gets engulfed in shadows!

Koren looked over at her. "Don't worry, it's fine." She said, her words and her mouth totally off. "It's safe so long as you don't let go."

Chloe tightened her grip on Koren's hand.

"Dear lord, don't break my hand..." She said, laughing a bit as they whisked through the shadows. "I'm not going t drop you."

"I'm sorry," Chloe said loosening her grip.

"It's all good..." They popped up in the library.

Chloe released her hand, "Where are we?"

"The library."

Chloe laughed, "Of where?"

"The mansion, duh."

Chloe looked around, "So who did we come to see?"

Koren cleared her throat... "PATCHOULI!!" She shoued.

"Is it a guy?" Chloe asked.

"no. A girl."

"Interesting name," Chloe said looking through the books.

Patchouli walked out of the huge stacks of books near one of the nook shelves, "Koren, would you please refrain from shouting in my library... " She said, her eyes one the pages of a book in her hands.

"Oh hello, Ms. Patchouli, it is a pleasure to meet you," Chloe said happily.

Patchouli barely glanced over her book, and then nodded, "Yes, a pleasure." She said. She paused for a moment before closing her book, "Might I ask you why you have come to my library?" She asked.

"So I wouldn't be so weak," Chloe said.

"You'll have to be more specific than that. That topic is covered in thousands of books, some forbidden, other far similar than even blinking. But, what do you have in mind?" Patchouli asked, her purple eyes scanning the seemingly endless book shelves.

"I would like to learn magic, spells, curses, and those things," Chloe said.

Patchouli nodded, "That does narrow it down some. Though, what magic do you have in mind, human? Marisa Kirisame focus's in her own 'flashy love magic', as she calls it... I prefer elemental magic from tomes." Patchouli raised one of her hands towards the book cases, several books flying off them and making a neat pile at a nearby table.

"What kinds are there?" Chloe asks.

"They vary as far as the colors of the universe." Patchouli stated, and motioned towards the books, "These cover several different types of magic. When you've finished them, let me know if you need more books, or want to to find you some tomes." Patchouli said. "Or, perhaps you're more interested in finding your magical familiar?"

Chloe nodded, "Yes please. I'd like to find a familiar."

Patchouli thought for a moment, "Hmm... Let's see... Have you ever attempted magic before?" She asked.

Koren made a 'bluh' face. "she's trying to decide between vampite and magic."

Chloe shook her head.

Patchouli nodded to Koren, then continued to Chloe, "Well, you should attempt magic before trying to summon forth a familiar." She said, and pulled a book off the stack, handing it to Chloe. "Read this. It covers some general types of magic and spells."
