I think i know the plan...

Chapter 36
The Siege Begins

"SIR!"SIR!" One of the cheetah scouts shouted as he rushed into the camp.

"What is it?" Terrador asked the scout.

"The humans are on the move again,"the scout reported," They are bringing out seige weapons."

Terrador sighed and looked around the camp. Many of the cheetah warriors were injured or tired. A lot of the dragons were in the same state.

"We've got to send someone......"Terrador said trying to think of who.

"I'll do it....." a voice said. Everyone turned to see Ember emerging from the medical tent.

Terrador questioned this at first but decided he would send anyone at this point,"Alright,"he said,"I'll find a few others to go with you."

Sargeant Yakon walked through the forest with the siege barricade, which only contained three catapults and about twelve men. He had never thought he would be leading the seige on this mission, considering he was low-rank and still pretty young, but the commander had put him in charge and promoted him up three ranks, so he was going to prove himself.

"Already stop here," he said when they were somewhat close to the enemy city.

"Load the catapults," he ordered,he waited untill they had finished loading then he said,"FIRE!"

The catapult ammo hit the walls of Warfang head on but didn't do much damage.

It was hard to see from this distance but they could still see the effects of their shots,"We hardly made a dent sir," one of the soldiers said to Yakon.

Yakon formed a plan inside of his head,"Go back to the burning woods, and bring back some of the flaming timber in whatever way you can." Yakon ordered,"We will fight them with fire."

"But sir that will ignite the catapults as well," one of the soldiers protested.

"Yes, but by the time the catapults are ash we won't need them anymore,"Yakon said silencing the soldier,"Once the city is ablaze the fire will spread like madness.""Now go."

Once the soldiers brought back the fire(four of them got burnt in the process) it was loaded into the catapults and quickly fired. The flaming wood flew over the walls and hit the inside of Warfang. The flames flew up and began to spread just as Yakon predicted.

"Yes,"Yakon said with triumph,he pointed at one of the soldiers,"Go back to camp and tell the commander that the enemy city is ablaze."

The soldier bowed and took off.

Yakon then looked up at the sky and saw three dragons flying towards them, a smaller pink dragon accompinied by two larger ones, one light green and the other dark blue.

"We're under attack!" Yakon shouted,"Get ready men!"

The fight started very quickly, as soon as the humans pulled out their weapons the dragons swooped in and attacked.

The adult blue dragoness was the first to land, she quickly slashed and took down one human, then another human came up behind her and cut her across the side with his sword.

The human drew back for another stab but was killed as an ice shard shot by the blue dragoness went right into his face.

Yakon ducked as Ember slashed her claws at him, he then took advantage of this and pinned her to the ground.

Yakon took his sword and put it up to Ember's neck,"Don't squirm she-beast,"Yakon said as Ember struggled,"I can make this painless or very painfull, your choice." He was about to finish her when the light green dragon shot a blast of earth breath at him and knocked him back.

Yakon got up and quickly pulled a dagger out of his back pocket and threw it at the light green dragon, the green dragon tried to dodge it too late and was stabbed in the neck, he fell down dead.

The blue dragoness had killed off a bunch of the other humans when one jumped on her back and began to stab her multiple times, she bled fast from the multiple wounds, and the last thing she could do before she died was shake off the human and then kill him with her ice breath.

Yakon and Ember both stood facing each other,but as they looked around they saw that they were the only ones left.

"So we will decide this fight,"Yakon said.

"Bring it on" Ember replied.

Yakon laughed and then lunged at Ember with his sword,Ember quickly dodged it and blasted fire breathe at Yakon.

Yakon gave out a cry of pain as the fire scorched his arm. He backed up slowly holding it and said through clenched teeth,"I won't die like this........not this young.""Don't think this battle is over!" after that he turned and headed back towards his camp.

Ember thought about chasing him down but thought it would just be a waste of time.

I thought a different plan, lol...

Chapter 37
The Commander's Last Stand

Geon stood silently in the center of the small camp, all of the soldiers had been sent out to gather in front of the enemy city, so they could assualt it once the seige began. There were only a few guardmen stationed around the camp and Galvor was inside one of the makeshift tents.

Geon was about to check on Galvor when he heard some soldiers shouting out. He ran over to see what had happened but the shouts ended aruptly. Geon ran to find the bodies of two guards sprawled out on the ground. They had claw marks all over them but the deadliest sign was a deep bite on both of their necks. "The work of a dragon no doubtedly." Geon thought drawing his sword and searching the area with his eyes

There didn't seem to be any movement so he quickly went back to the camp to find the other guards had been taken out as well."Show yourself!"Geon shouted out.

He heard movement in the area behind him and turned around to find nothing. Then he felt claws digging into his back, he turned around and shook off what was attacking him. When he turned again he was staring into the eyes of a black dragoness, eyes filled with anger and hatred...................

Geon knew that this was the one who had killed all of the guards, and thought it wouldn't be wise to fight her alone, so he ran to Galvor's tent to get help,but Galvor had vanished, then as he turned around..........

Cynder quicky leaped at the human leader again and dug her claws into his face but her front leg also got cut as Geon swung his sword out in defense. Cynder landed in front of the commander and shot poison at him, melting through some of the armor around his chest, while he was cringing from this she leaped at him again but was knocked back as the human used his arm and hit her across the face with the metal armor. While Cynder was dazed Geon charged at her but she used her shadow ability to go under the ground. Geon was confused and searched around and was hit by Cynder's shadow strike and she jumped out of the ground hit him. Cynder jumped at Geon again and knocked him to the ground. Out of desperation Geon brought up his sword and aimed it to try and behead Cynder,but Cynder was quicker and bit down hard on his neck. Geon's body thrashed for a moment but he dropped his sword and his body went limp as the life flowed out him. As he stopped moving comepletely Cynder released her grip on his neck.

It was done, Cynder took a few steps back and turned away from the dead body. She was confused, she thought if she got her revenge it would make her feel better but it didn't. She felt worse, what she had done didn't change anything, Spyro was still dead. She began to walk into the forest back towards Warfang, with sadness and grief in her heart.

dang, remind me to never piss off Cynder.

Now, i'm afraid of Cynder...

almost nothing can stop pissed cynder ( and regular cynder) not even the Wundawaffe D-G 2

Chapter 38
Only One Option

Cole stood in line with the other soldiers at the edge of the forest, the forest fire had died down now so that gave them a place to wait. They had been standing here for awhile, and he wondered what was taking so long, he could clearly see the dragon city ablaze but they still hadn't recieved attack orders from Geon. He didn't want to do this,but if he had to then he just wanted to get it over with.

"Private Chaff," The leading officer of this attack unit, whose name was Aldias,addressed him.

"Yes sir,"Cole answered.

"Go back to the main camp, I have a bad feeling that something is wrong here,"Aldias said.

Cole nodded and quickly ran back to the human camp. The first thing he noticed was multiple human soldiers on the ground,their bodies had been slashed,mutilated,and posioned? What did all of this?

"You there!" he heard someone shout. Cole looked to see a messanger standing over a body in the center of camp.

Cole walked over and saw to his horror the dead body of Commander Geon. There were multiple claw marks and gashes. Another spot of the acidic posion like fluid, and a gruesome bite mark on his neck.

"What happened?"Cole asked in shock.

"I don't know,"the other soldier answered,"He was like this when I got here, Sargeant Yakon sent me as a messenger to tell the commander that we had set the enemy city on fire."

"So much for his attack orders..."Cole said,"I will report this to Liutenent Aldias."

"And I will meet up with Yakon and the seige team to inform them of this devolpment,"the soldier said.

Without further words both of them went to find their superior officers.

what's Cole going to do? i hope he tries to stop this.

Chapter 39
The Memorial

Terrador stood at the edge of the camp as Ember flew in and landed.

"How did your mission go?"he asked her.

"We destroyed their seige weapons but the other two dragons that came with me were killed,"Ember told him.

Terrador sighed,"I'm not sure if we can stand to take any more losses."

Then they heard voices from within the camp,"They're retreating!""The battle is over!"

"What happened?" Terrrador asked as he and Ember walked back into the camp.

One of the dragons that Terrador had sent out as a scout earlier walked up to him and said,"The enemy is retreating back through some sort of cave,and after they were all through they blocked the entrance."

"So we won,"a few members of the camp declared.

"We can hardly call this a victory,"Terrador said grimly,"We drove off the humans,but at what cost?""We've lost so many, so many that we will never be able to replace."

The battered and torn Warfang army slowly made their way back to the Dragon City. It was nearly sundown by the time they arrived. As Terrador walked through the gates he knew something had happened, there were many damaged buildings and wreckages. There were also citizens sitting in the streets that were badly burned. As he got closer to the city hall he was greeted by Volteer.

"Ah,Terrador,"Volteer said," I heard the battle is over,is it true?"

"Yes,"Terrador replied.

Volteer looked down the street at what was left of the Warfang army,"Was it a rough battle?"

"Very,"was Terrador's response,"What happened here?"

"We we're attacked by seige weapons,"Volteer answered,"They set the city on fire, we managed to put out the flames but not before they did damage that was, incredible,unbleivable, un-................"

Volteer was interrupted as Cyril flew down to meet them," Congratulations on your victory, Terrador,"he said,"I trust you didn't have too much trouble."

"I wouldn't say that,"Terrador replied.

Cryil looked around to see that someone was missing," Where is Spyro?" he asked.

"Dead."

Volteer and Cyril both had looks of disbeleif on their face,"and Cynder?"Cyril questioned.

"Cynder is....." Terrador started but stopped,"She was with us back at the camp, but I haven't seen her since.""She must of ran off somewhere."

"So I suppose this means we won't be having a celebration,"Cyril said.

"No,"Terrador answered,"but I beleive we should have a memorial tommorow to honor all those who died today."

It was almost time for the memorial to begin, Cynder,who had returned to the city late the last night,stood almost at the very back of the crowd that had gathered in the center of the city. It began as Terrador began to read off the names of everyone who had died during that battle, the crowd remained mostly silent and there was much sorrow from everyone.

Eventually Spyro's name was read, everyone who knew him came up and said words on his behalf, Cynder knew that she should go up and say something but she couldn't........she wouldn't be able to hold herself together long enough. She turned and walked away from the ceremony with a tear rolling down her face.............

Galvor stood on a clifftop high above the dragon city of Warfang, he watched the ceremony and watched Cynder flying away,"Everything is falling into place, just like he said it would,"Galvor thought to himself. He then chuckled and walked away.


Epilouge

The Chronicler Ignitus sat inside of his temple, he still couldn't beleive what had happened. He was still feeling grief over the death of Spyro, but he was also worried about other matters. "The prophecies never predicted this, how could the purple dragon die so young?And at a time when he would soon be needed most?" For Ignitus knew that a much greater threat was looming on the horizon...............................


Well that's the end. I know things seem bad but there will be a sequel.

Seemed liked you rushed the ending, but good nevertheless, hope the sequel is up soon.

That confirms it Spyro is K.I.A. but of course he never stays dead something always brings him back always.

If I remember well, Galvor got his power shortly after Spyro died, wonder if there's a connection.

i just read it, and i have to say, it is the most amazing story i have ever read. and if it werent for those f'ing copyrighs, i urge you to get this published. i have never read a story that actually made me cry, and i have to say, you have a lot of talent when it comes to writing.
i hope that we can make more co-op fanfics in the future. i believe that with our combined writing talents, we can be an invincible team that can dominate the fanfiction on this site.
