Chapter 14.
While Spyro had already rushed to help the people inside the burning house, Cynder still looked around for any ways she could help. She didn't want to tell it to Spyro, but she was not comfortable with the idea of going inside a burning deathtrap. Not even to save lives..
So, she went to Terrador, who had just the task for her..
"You want me to help get people out of here?!.." Cynder asked, she had to shout because of the noise..
"I know it might not sound like an important task, but these people are on the way! We need to get this area cleared!" Terrador replied.
"Where I would take them?!" Cynder shouted.
"We were thinking about using the Ruins of Old Warfang as a safe haven for those who've lost their homes.. Do you still remember where the gate inside is?.." He asked.
Cynder nodded. Terrador sent her away, and she began to gather the people together..
"Everyone come on! I'll lead you to somewhere safe!" Cynder shouted. The panicing crowd reacted slowly, but soon everyone was ready to leave..
Exept for one elderly mole, who sat on the curb, and just wouldn't move..
"Come on mister, we have to go now!" Cynder yelled to the mole..
"B.. But this is my home.." The mole said with low, squealing voice..
"Your home is burning, you can't stay here!" Cynder yelled.
"I already had to leave once, I won't leave again.." The mole insisted..
"I'll get you out of here even if I'd have to carry you on my back!.." Cynder said.
She tried to push the old mole forward, with little success. The mole proved to be steady footed, and Cynder had never been very strong..
"I'll help." A clear, male voice said behind her..
Cynder turned her head and saw a teenaged red dragon.. The dragon pushed the mole on his feet with little effort, and the mole ceaced to resist moving..
"Thanks.." Cynder said, looking at the dragon. Then she got an idea that would make her job a lot easier, "Can you help me get these people out of here?.."
"Well.. Why not!" The dragon said, and smiled, "I'm here to help.."
"Thanks, again.." Cynder replied..
Cynder started leading the people forwards. With the help of her new friend, few to no distractions occurred on the way..
The dragon seemed quite friendly, and ready to help, concidering the fact that she'd never seen him before..
Soon, the people that had lost their homes on the attack, were led to the safety of the caves.. Cynder got out smiling, helping others felt good, even though it had been a lot of trouble for her..
She saw the red dragon she had met earlier, walking towards her. She sat on the ground and waited patiently..
"Thanks for the help.." She said and smiled, when the red dragon had approached her..
"Oh, that was nothing.." The dragon answered, "Uhh, listen.. I know we just met, but I've always been kinda straightforward with pretty girls like you.. So, uhh.. Would you like to meet again someday?"
Cynder blushed, and chuckled quietly. So this was what he had been after..
The dragon looked quite handsome, psychically he looked a lot stronger than Spyro. But still, she had to resist..
"I appreciate it, but I can't.. Sorry.. I already have a companion.." Cynder said..
"Oh.." The dragon said, and looked to the ground, "Well, it was nice to meet you anyway.."
"Yeah, it was.." Cynder said. Only when the dragon started to walk off, Cynder remembered they hadn't even been properly introduced..
"Wait!" She shouted.
On a split second, the red dragon turned his head. Like he had been waiting for Cynder to call him back..
"I'm Cynder.. What's your name?.." Cynder asked.
"I'm Flame." The dragon said, nodded with a smile, then continued walking away..
"Flame.." Cynder said to herself quietly..
K, I'll add more in few days again!
