Artica, Inferno, and Goldheart soon landed outside Anyanca's lair. they walked passed the statues, and went inside.
"this place is like a maze. it'll be nearly impossible finding our way around." Goldheart said.
"this way." Inferno said. he then walked off in one direction. Artica began following him.
"wait. how do we know to go that way?" Goldheart asked.
"i don't, but i trust Inferno knows where he's going." Artica replied as she followed him. Goldheart sighed, and began following them.
Inferno soon stopped where the wall made a turn, and peaked around the other side. Goldheart stood behind him. Artica sighed, and began walking down the hallway. then Inferno grabbed her tail, and pulled her back behind the wall. "whhat the heck? why'd you grab my tail?" Artica snarled. Inferno shushed her. he peaked around the corner, and saw a statue of a dragon. "so, what? it's just a statue." she said. Inferno shoke his head. he then began walked in the opposite direction. Goldheart followed him. Artica looked at the statue. Inferno stopped, and looked back at her.
"this way." he whispered. Artica rolled her eyes, and followed them down the corridoor. Inferno was leading the way until Artica walked ahead of him. he then saw another statue up ahead. he tried to warn her, but she kept going. Artica walked right past the stutue, and it didn't move. Inferno then led Goldheart around a corner where they hid. then the statue began to appear more life-like. it then began following Artica. Artica kept walking until she came across a door. she then stoppped, and tried to open it, but it was locked. she then heard a low growl, and turned around to see one of the sentinels. the sentinel growled as he reached out to claw her. she then bite his paw before he got the chance, and then ran underneath him. she then stopped once she got behind him. the sentinel turned around, growling at her. Inferno gasped, and was about to go help her, but then Artica began to shoot ice shards at the sentinel. the sentinel then used his wings to shield himself. he began to back up until his back was up agaist the door. Artica roared, and then lowered her head. "no! stop!" Inferno yelled, jumping out from behind the corner. then Artica charged into the sentinel, ramming it with her horns. the sentinel crashed through the door, and Artica ran in after it. Inferno ran up to where the door used to be with Goldheart right behind him. they looked inside to see a large room, where the sentinel and Artica were now fighting. Artica shot ice shards at the sentinel, but he blocked the attack with his wing. he then hit her with a white cone breath, which caused her to move in slow motion. the sentinel then charged, and rammed her with his horns before she could even move. Inferno then growled, and breathed flames on the sentinel. the sentinel did not expect that, and began backing away from the flames, using his wings for a shield. Goldheart ran over to Artica, and helped her up, but she was still moving in slow motion. then Goldheart breathed a yellow mist on her, reversing the effects of the sentinel's attack. then Artica glared at the sentinel. she charged at him, shooting ice shards as she ran closer. Inferno stopped breathing flames, and watched Artica charge at the sentinel. she rammed him, and then attackedthe sentinel with her claws, teeth, and tail. the sentinel then growled as he grabbed her by the neck, and picked her up off of the ground. Inferno growled, and then charged at the sentinel. he rammed the sentinel with his horns, making him drop Artica. then Goldheart ran over, and began breathing flames on the sentinel. then Inferno took a few steps back, and began breathing flames also. the sentinel was now cornered. Artica heard foot steps in the distance.
"you huys keep him busy!" she said. then she rushed out of the room, and then stopped in the hallway. she then saw a young dragoness standing in the hallway. her scales were jet black, and her eyes were dark red, almost black. her tail looked like that of a scorpion's, and was blood red. her horns were long, and a blood red color. her claws were long and dark, and she had blood red spikes from head to tail. her inside wings and belly were also blood red, and her wings were more bat-like than most dragons, with the claws longer and sharper than most. Artica snarled, and then charged at the female. the female smirked as she was surrounded in a cloud of shadow, and dissappeared. Artica ran right through the cloud, and then stopped. she turned around to see the female reappear. Artica growled, and shot ice shards at her. the female breathed black flames, and melted the ice. Artica growled, and charged at the female again. the female was surrounded in shadow again, and then Artica shot ice shards at the cloud. unable to see, the female was hit by the ice, and then the cloud went away. then Artica rammed the female with her horns, and then attacked with claws, teeth, and tail. the female blocked her attacks, and then grabbed Artica by her neck. she smirked, and then threw Artica at the wall. Artica hit the wall hard, and then landed on the ground with a thud. the female walked over to her, glaring at Artica with a look of evil. the female grabbed Artica by the neck, and pinned her to the wall. Artica struggled to break free, but the female was stronger than she appeared. the female chuckled.
"you can't escape me" she said in a dark, twisted voice.
"you're not stronger than me! i can beat you!" Artica growled. the female laughed evily.
"i am far stronger than you, Artica!"
"how do you know my--"
"Artica! get away from her!" Inferno yelled, running over to them. the female turned around.
"Inferno!" she hissed. then her eyes glowed black, and then Inferno glowed, and levitated off of the ground. the female laughed evily. Artica swung her tail at the female, cutting her stomach. the female grunted, and then glared at Artica. then she swung around, and threw Artica at Inferno, knocking them both onto the ground. then Goldheart ran over to them with the sentinel right behind him. "stop!" the female roared at the sentinel. he then stopped. then the female looked at Artica, Inferno, and Goldheart. "the time will come for our battle, but it is not now." she hissed. then she dissappeared in a cloud of shadow. then the others turned around to see that the sentinel had also dissappeared. Artica got up, and looked at the other two.
"who the heck was that?" she asked. Inferno looked at her with a sad expression on his face.
"your sister....." he muttered.

Wow epic haha. Nice chapter now things got interesting. cant wait for more.

"wait, what?" Artica asked, confused.
"that was Flare...." Inferno muttered.
"yeah, i heard you. what do you mean that's Flare? it didn't even look or sound like her. plus, she tried to kill us. i think that was deffinitely not her. you're stupid if you think that there was any chance of that being my sister." she said. Inferno then tackled her, and pinned her to the ground.
"listen, you. a while ago you trusted that i knew what i was doing, well trust me now. that was your sister, Flare. Anyanca took her soul, and turned her evil. and if we don't get her soul back, then we can't change Flare back to the way she was. you understand? this is no time for joking around. your sister needs serious help, and if you can't be serious long enough to help her, then get out." he said. then Artica kicked him off of her, and then pinned him to the ground.
"ok, let's get one thing straight around here. you do not tackle me, and tell me what to do like you're the boss. i got a heck of a lot more power than you, and you don't want to see me mad. second, i'm already trying to help my sister, so don't think for even one second that i don't want to save her. and if doesn't matter if i'm freaking serous or making a lot of bloody jokes, what matters is that we save Flare, and stop Anyanca. now, i'm going to let up, and i don't want to hear anything you have to say. just lead me to where my sister might be, and i'll take it from there. you got that?" she said. he nodded. then she let him up. Goldheart just watched, unsure of what to do. then Inferno started walking down the hallway. Artica and Goldheart followed. they walked for some time in slience, and then reached a door. Inferno reconized it from earlier, and already knew it was locked. he then looked down to see that thr rug had been fixed back.
"move." he said to the others, who were standing on the rug. they gave him a wierd look. "just trust me, and move." he said. then they stepped off of the rug. Inferno lifted it, and found that the door was gone.
"yeah. what are we looking for? a stain?" Artica asked. "ignore the freaking rug, and take me to Flare. or you can take me to Anyanca. i'd love to hit something right now."
"would you shut up long enough for me to think?" Inferno snapped at her. he then looked down at the floor.
"i would if there was something for you to think about, but guess what, our only concern right now is getting to Flare, so exucse me if i don't get the point of staring at the floor."
"would you shut up? i am trying to concentrate."
"what the heck are you trying to concentrate on? whether the rug goes with the hallway or not? we have innocents to save, and a dragon's but to kick!" she said. he looked at her.
"if you thought for one second then you may have guessed that i am trying to figure something out. there used to be a door here."
"well, there certainly isn't a door there now, is there? so, either bust down that door over there, or we go back the way we came."
"the door is locked. how do you expect me to open a locked door?"
"i don't know. try using your head." she said. Inferno just looked at the door. "or get out of the way, and let me try something." she said. then Inferno and Goldheart got out of the way. Artica backed a good distance away from the door. then she lowered her head, and charged at the door. she then rammed it at full speed, yet she only cracked it.
"and that's why using your head doesn't work." Inferno said. Artica looked at him.
"well, then that's when you try something else." she said. then she faced the door. she then shot ice shards at the door, freezing it.
"oh, sure. freeze the door. that'll get it to open." Inferno said, sarcastically.
"watch this." she said. then she swung around, and then used her tail to hit the door as hard as she could. then the door shattered into a million pieces. "i told you i could open it." she said.
"well, then, yippee for you. you figured out how to open a door." he said, sarcastically. Artica snarled at him before walking through the door. Inferno and Goldheart followed her inside. it was pitch black darkness inside, and none of them could tell where they were now. they could not even tell if they were in a room, or another part of the hallway.

Artica is going to get hurt if she dont close that big mouth of hers. Good chapter, liked the part where artica and inferno were arguing.

I haven't been around and i am impressed how much you wrote while i was not here

i know, sorry. i got busy with school.

ok, i think i've waited long enough now, in fact, too long. it's time to write more.

"where the heck are we?" Artica asked.
"i don't know." Goldheart said.
"hold on, let me light up this place." Inferno said. then using his flame breath, he lit up the place.
"oh, great. another freaking hallway!" Artica groaned.
"look, we can use the candals on the walls to see where we're going." Goldheart pointed out. then Inferno lit up the candals, and then stopped breathing fire.
"well, at least i don't have to keep breathign fire. now, lets go." he said. Inferno led the way down the hallway with Artica and Goldheart following him. they soon reached a dead end.
"now what?" Artica asked. Inferno looked around.
"i guess we have to go back." Goldheart said.
"what?! ugh! we're wasting time! we need to get to Flare!" Artica groaned. Inferno turned to her.
"be quiet! i'm thinking." he said. Artica scoffed.
"so, what's the genious contemplating this time?" Artica asked.
"for your information, miss blabbermouth, i'm thinking there might be a secret passage here." Inferno replied.
"well, thinking doesn't solve anything. we need action. if you think there's a secret passage here, then why didn't you just say so? i could bust down that wall in a heartbeat." Artica said.
"but i don't think--" then Inferno was interupted by Artica breathing ice on the wall. then with one quick swing of her tail, she shattered it to pieces. then all they could see was blue sky on the other side. "that's exactly what i was going to say if you had let me, Artica. you just made a hole in the wall." he said.
"well, how the heck was i supposed to know that there was nothing on the other side?!" she snapped.
"i could have thought of a better idea if you had any patience!" Inferno snarled.
"well, thinking wastes time! we'd still be back behind that freaking door if it wern't for me!"
"thinking helps you stay safe! if it wern't for my brain, we'd be facing dragons every time we turned around!"
"then we could force them to take us to my sister!"
"but that would backfire, and they'd just kill us!"
"at least i wouldn't be stranded here with you!"
"and theni wouldn't have to hear your annoying voice so much!"
"well, if you think i'm so annoying, then why don't you go off on your own! i don't need you!"
"that's fine by me! you don't need me to get lost or killed! you can do that just fine on your own!"
"then good riddence to you!" Artica growled. then Inferno scoffed, and headed back down the hallway. Artica grunted as she faced the opening. Goldheart looked back and forth between them, not sure of who to go with. "if you don't want to stay, Goldheart, then just go! i don't need your help! i don't anyone's help!" she snarled.
"but--" Goldheart started to say.
"just go!" Artica snapped. then Goldheart quietly turned around, and followed Inferno.

Inferno and Goldheart walked back through the broken door. Goldheart occaisonally looked back to see that Artica sat at the hole in the wall. then with one flap of her wings, she jumped up, and flew out of the hallway. she flew in the sky, and then heard a loud roar.
"intruder spotted!" a sentinel cried out. then two other sentinels came, and they surrounded Artica. she growled, and then shot ice shards at them. they quickly dodged the attack. then the sentinels opened their mouths, and unleashed a grey cone breath. in an instand, Artica was turned to stone. then her body began to rapidly fall towards the ground. then one of the sentinels caught her. meanwhile, Goldheart looked back, and didn't see Artica.
"Inferno, stop." he said. Inferno looked at him.
"what?" he asked.
"i looked back, and didn't see Artica. i think soemthing happened to her." he said, worriedly.
"yeah, she got up went somewhere else. i call that a good thing." Inferno joked.
"but Inferno!" Goldheart cried out.
"what? she's gone. don't worry about it." he said. then Goldheart looked back, and saw the sentinels.
"Inferno, look!" he cried out.
"look at wha--" Inferno began to say. then Goldheart pointed to outside. Inferno saw the sentinels, and saw what had happened to Artica.
"we have to help her!" Goldheart said. then Inferno took off running towards the hole in the wall. "wait! what's our plan?!" he called.
"save Artica! now, lets go!" Inferno called back. then Goldheart ran after him. they flapped thier wings, and flew after the sentinels. the sentinels roared, and two of them raced towards them. the other, who held Artica, began to fly away.

Well Im glad you continued this, Im a big fan of your stories. Plus I havent seen or talk to you much lately either. good chapter by the way.

the sentinels raced towards Inferno and Goldheart. then they breathed a grey cone breath at them. Inferno and Goldheart quickly dodged. then Inferno hit them with his fire breath. while he fought them, Goldheart went after the sentinel that had Artica. the sentinel growled at Goldheart, and then breathed a grey cone breath. Goldheart quickly dodged, and then shot fire balls at the sentinel. the sentinel dodged quickly, but then Goldheart rammed him with his horns. Artica was knocked out of the sentinel's claws, and was rapidly falling. Goldheart began flying after her, but was held back by the sentinel.
"Inferno!" he cried out. Inferno looked at him, and then saw that Artica was falling. he then raced towards her, but then two sentinels chased him. "look out!" Goldheart cried. Inferno looked back to see two sentinels on his tail. Goldheat was still being held back, but he was able to shoot fire balls at the sentinels. they slowed down as Inferno sped up to catch Artica. he flew faster, and then passed Artica. then he got underneath her, and caught her. "Inferno!" Goldheart yelled as the sentinel clawed at him. Inferno raced towards his friend, but was then blocked by the other two. Inferno growled, and then rammed the sentinels with his horns. he charged at the sentinel that held Goldheart, and rammed him. the sentinel let go of Goldheart. then the sentinels surrounded them. "what do we do now?!" Goldheart asked. Inferno thought for a moment. then one of the sentinels took a deep breath.
"duck!" Inferno cried out. then he raised Artica's stone cold body as a shield in defense. the sentinel hit her with a grey cone breath. she was hit, and then slowly changed back to not being a statue. she looked around, confused, and saw they were surrounded. she looked at Inferno.
"what are you doing?! let go of me!" she snapped. Inferno let go of her. she hovered in the air next to them. then the sentinels took a deep breath, prepared to use thier grey cone breath. then Artica began to glow. her eyes glowed ice blue, and soon her whole body glowed.
"what's.......going on....?" Inferno asked, nervously.
"i.....i don't know...." Goldheart muttered. then they and the sentinels began to glow. the sentinels turned on each, and began to visciously attack one another. Goldheart and Inferno turned on each other, and attacked with thier fire breaths. Artica looked at them.
"what are you two doing?!" she asked. they only growled as they fought. she looked back at the sentinels to see that they were fighting each other. then she grabbed Goldheart and Inferno, and then flew back towards the hallway. as she flew, she felt stronger, but the guys got madder, and then attacked each other more viciously. "stop that!" she snarled, but they didn't listen. she then used her ice breath to freeze them. she continued flying towards the hallway, and soon flew through the hole in the wall. she then placed thier frozen bodys on the ground. she soon stopped glowing, and so did everyone else. the sentinels stopped fighting, and looked confused. then they flew away. Artica unfroze her friends, and they looked at her confused.
"what happened.....?" Inferno asked.

good, but busy. my teachers give me a lot of work to do.

"why don't you tell me." Artica said as she looked at the guys. they looked at each other, confused. then they looked back at her.
"we don't have a clue." Inferno said.
"it seems to me that you used that new power you mentioned earlier." Goldheart said.
"oh, right. i forgot about that." Inferno said.
"that was my new power. but i don't know what it is, how i have it, or how to control it."
"obviously..." Inferno muttered. Artica glared at him. then she looked at Goldheart.
"anyway, i need your dad to train me on my new power. but first--"
"we save Flare." Inferno interrupted. Artica looked at him, and nodded.
"we'll have to work together if we want to save her. from what i've seen, she's got a heck of a lot more power than me right now."
"not necessarily. my dad said that you have a power that's stronger than most. maybe you can beat her."
"it's a possibility, Goldheart, but i doubt it. she's pure evil now. i don't think i can beat her."
"well, we have to do something." Inferno said.
"yeah, but we've searched all over this place, and haven't found her." Artica said.
"maybe we should head back home, and coem back here later." Goldheart suggested.
"no!" the other two yelled.
"we can't leave Flare here!" Inferno said.
"and i'd really to kick that dragon's but!" Artica said.
"then maybe i coudl go back alone, and get help." Goldheart said. the others looked at each other, and then looked back at Goldheart.
"you mean i'd be stuck with her?!"
"you mean i'd be stuck with him?!" they said at the same time.
"well, yeah." Goldheart replied. the two glanced at each other, and groaned. then they turned away.
"forget that idea!" Artica said.
"yeah, we better stick together." Inferno added. Goldheart shrugged.
"suit yourselves." he said. then he began walking back down the hallway. the two looked at each other, and then at Goldheart.
"hey! wait up!" they said all at once as they chased after him. then they walked together down the hallway.

Hahaha I think the ylike eachother hahaha. Thats good I've been a bit busy too, but sounds like you have it worse.

yeah, well they say junior year is the hardest.

Inferno, Artica, and Goldheart walked down the hallway. Inferno led the way with Artica behind him and Goldheart following in the rear. they soon reached a corner, and made a right. they kept walking until they came to a fork in the hallway. Inferno stopped at the end of the hallway. he looked left, and then right. Artica and Goldheart stopped behind him. Goldheart waited patiently, while Artica yawned with boredom. then Inferno turned to face them.
"well? which way, genious?" Artica asked him.
"i'm not sure. they look the same to me." he said.
"oh, great." Artica said, sarcastically.
"did you see any gaurds?" Goldheart asked. Inferno shoke his head.
"as far as i can tell, the coast is clear." he replied.
"oh, let me see." Artica said, as she practically pushed Inferno out of the way. he snarled as he watched her look both ways. Inferno walked up beside her. Inferno looked left, while Artica looked right. then they turned thier heads at the same time, and bumped each other. "Inferno!" Artica snarled.
"what?!" he snapped.
"watch that big head of yours!" she growled.
"i will, if you watch that big mouth of yours!"
"well, at least my mouth isn't as big as your head!" she growled. then Goldheart thought he heard footsteps, but he wasn't sure where they were coming from.
"guys, i think someone's coming!" Goldheart said. they looked at him.
"shut up!" they both snapped. then they contineud arguing. the sound of footsteps grew louder. now Goldheart believed the footsteps to be coming from the left.
"stop fighting!" Goldheart told them. then they heard the footsteps too, and stopped fighting. they peaked left, and saw a sentinel comign towards them.
"oh, great! we're gonna get caught, and it's all your fault!" Artica snarled at Inferno.
"me?! what did i do?!" he asked.
"you led us down this way!" she snarled.
"guys, please! now, isn't the time for this!" Goldheart told them.
"stay out of this!" they snapped. the sound of footsteps grew louder as the sentinel got closer.
"if you keep your big mouth shut, then he might not notice us!" Inferno snarled. Artica glared at him. then she began growling, and insulting him. Inferno ignored her as he peaked left. "i have to get her to shut up!" he thought. "but how?" he wondered as he looked at her. she continued to babble on as he wondered what to do. he heard the sound of footsteps get louder. then, he panicked, and quickly thought of something. then he kissed her. Goldheart gasped. the sentinel was about to walk by. then Goldheart looked at his paw as it slowly began to vanish. then he placed his paws on Inferno and Artica, and then they all turned invisible. the sentinel walked by them. he stopped, and looked at them for a moment. Goldheart held his breath. then the sentinel looked away, and continued walking. Goldheart let out a sigh of relief. then he stepped back, and they all became visible again. Artica pushed Inferno away, and then glared at him.
"what the heck are you thinking?!" she snapped. then she spit as if she foudn the kiss disgusting.
"...i, uh......" Inferno muttered.
"well, whatever game you're playing, don't think for a second that it'll happen again!" she growled. then she grunted as she quickly turned around, slapping his cheek with her tail. she then started walking left as Inferno sat there with is paw on his cheek. Goldheart walked up to him.
"what was that about?" he asked, confused.
"i was just trying to get her to shut up." he said calmly, as if it meant nothing. then Inferno followed Artica down the hallway. Goldheart sighed, and followed them.

the three walked down the hallway in silence. Artica and Inferno walked up front with Goldheart behind them. Artica looked all around while Inferno looked at her. occasionally she would turn to face him just to see him looking in another direction. they continued to walk in slience, until...
"are we going to be quiet until we find Flare, or what?" Goldheart asked. Artica and Inferno stopped. they glanced at each other, and then looked at Goldheart.
"well, uh....." inferno muttered. Artica sighed.
"lets just keep going." she said. then she continued walking down the hallway. they guys followed her. Goldheart looked at Inferno as he looked at Artica. then Goldheart moved closer to him, and whispered,
"do you like her?" he asked. Inferno suddenly gave him a surprised look.
"uh, no! of course not!" he blurted out. then he looked back at her.
"well, it seems to me that you do." Goldheart whispered.
"pfft! don't be ridiculous! how could i ever like....." then Inferno stopped talking just as Artica looked back at them. he looked at her sky blue eyes, and appeared to blush a little.
"hey, either keep up or go home!" Artica called to them.
"uh, sure." Inferno said as he sped up. Goldheart continued walking as he looked at Inferno. he watched Inferno look at her as they walked down the hallway. Goldheart sped up his pace to keep with the others. then as Artica sped up, Goldheart noticed Inferno speed up, and walk along beside her. Goldheart trailed behind, and watched them. Inferno looked at Artica as she looked all around them. he smiled, and blushed a little as they walked. it seemed to Goldheart that Inferno liked Artica, but she appear to be intrested in him. Goldheart cocked his head to the side in confusion as he wondered about those two. then he heard an angry roar, and came to a dead stop. the other two stopped as well.
"what was that?" Goldheart asked, nervously.
"i don't know, but i'm going to find out!" Artica said, bravely as she started to run off.
"no!" Inferno cried out as he pulled her back. she looked at him, angry and confused.
"let go of me!" she snapped.
"no, wait! we don't know what that was!" he said.
"which is why i'm going to find out!" she told him.
"uh, no!" he said, sounding as if he was worried about her.
"what is your problem?!" Artica snarled.
"i just.....it's dangerous to go running off towards......something that....just roared angerly!" he said, as if he didn't really know what he was saying.
"you're unbelieveable! i don't know what mental problems you have, and frankly, i don't care! but i'm going to save my sister, and if that means running straight towards danger, than so be it!" she snarled. then she ran down the hallway.
"wait! you could get hurt!" Inferno yelled as he cahsed after her.
"hey! wait for me!" Goldheart called as he ran after them.

Wow I didnt really see that coming, I thought inferno liked artica's sister, but I guess that feeling has changed. hmm well nice chapter, I love this story.

Inferno's a little mixed up at the moment.

the group raced down the hallway. Artica was in the lead with the guys right behind her.
"look! a door!" Goldheart cried out. Artica ow had a determined expression on her face as she charged at the door.
"wait! it could be--" Inferno began to say. just then, they all fell through a hole in the floor which was covered up by a rug. they were wrapped up in the rug as they fell down into darkness. they then landed in a pitch black room. they pushed thier way out of the rug, and looked around, but all they could see was darkness, and the white's of thier eyes. "...a trap." Inferno finished.
"this is all your fault!" Artica snapped at Inferno.
"me?!" he asked, surprised.
"yes, you! if you had done something, we wouldn't be trapped right now!" she snarled. Goldheart sighed.
"we could try flying out." he suggested. just then, they heard a loud sound. then they looked up to see an iron door had closed on them.
"so much for that idea..." Inferno muttered. Artica got up.
"well, we won't accomplishing anything by sitting here." she said.
"she's right." Goldheart said as he stood up. he looked at Inferno. "could you light this place up for us?" he asked. Inferno looked at Artica, as if he needed or wanted her approval.
"well, hurry up. i want to be able to see." Artica told him. Inferno nodded. then using his fire breath, he lit up the room. it appeared to be a large celler. there were spider webs and piles of bones everywhere. they heard the squeakign sound of mice as they ran acorss the stone floor. there were candels on the walls, and Inferno used his fire breath to light them up.
"this place.....looks familair....." Inferno muttered as he looked around.
"that's great, Inferno, but can we stop sight-seeing so we can find my sister?" she said. then as she walked past him, her tail slapped him on the cheek. Artica walked around while Inferno sat there, with his paw on his cheek. Goldheart walked up beside him.
"so, how does this place look familiar?" he asked.
"she's right. lets keep moving." he replied as he followed Artica. Goldheart sighed as he followed them. as they looked around, they noticed that there didn't seem to be a way out.
"great. just great. no exit." Artica said, sarcastically. Inferno walked up beside her.
"i can find us a way out." he said. she looked at him.
"how?" she asked.
"well, i don't know yet, but i know i'll think of something." he replied. Artica scoffed. Goldheart stood behind them.
"well, i guess just this once i'll wait, and let you think of something." Artica said.
"really?" Inferno asked, surprised.
"just this once." she reminded him. Inferno smiled.
"thanks." he said. Artica scoffed.
"whatever." she said. then she and Goldheart sat down. Inferno paced as he thought.

hmmm well it seems like they are still lost and artica is kinda warming up to inferno.

"think of anything yet, genious?" Artica asked impatiently as she lay on the floor. her claws tapped on the ground as her patience ran out.
"not yet..." Inferno replied as he paced in front of them. Artica sighed as she rolled over.
"ow!" Goldheart groaned. when Artica rolled over, her tail hit his side, leaving a cut. he jumped up, and took a step away from her. she looked up at him.
"uh, sorry." she muttered. Inferno stopped, and looked at him.
"you alright?" he asked. Goldheart looked at the cut on his side.
"yeah, i'm fine. it's just a little cut." he said. Artica hopped up, and looked at Inferno.
"well? anything?" she asked. Inferno shoke his head.
"sorry, Artica. i just don't have anything to go on. we're trapped in some kind of dungeuon. if we had a locked door, or a hidden door, or something, i might be able to think of a plan to get us out. but all we have are steon walls and an iron door that's sealed shut." he explained. they all sighed. then Artica started to walk around.
"well, there's got to be a way out of here." she said. Goldheart looked around.
"well, if there is, i haven't seen it." he said. Inferno sat down.
"if Anyanca wanted us to escape with our lives, she would have made us an exit instead of a trap." he said. Artica and Goldheart kept looking around.
"you may be right about that." Goldheart said.
"but there has to be a way out." Artica added. then Inferno got up, and started to look around. he walked over to a corner of the room, and looked at a part of the wall.
"hey, i think i might have found something." he said. the other two rushed over to him. they looked at the wall, not sure of what Inferno ment.
"a wall? you expect us to what? walk through it?" Artica asked, sarcastically.
"no, look closely." Inferno replied. she and Goldheart looked closer. "do you see it?" he asked them.
"see what?" Goldheart asked.
"there. right there. at the bottom." Inferno said, pointing with his right claw.
"that? that tiny little crack?" Artica asked, unamused.
"yeah. that's our way out." Inferno said, smiling. Artica and Goldheart looked at each other, and then back at the crack.
"uh, no offense, but we can't fit through something that small! we're not bugs!" Artica told him.
"well, i know that, but--" Inferno began to say.
"but what? unless you know like a shrinking spell, or a "turn yourself into a bug" spell, then we've got nothing." she said.
"well, if you just listen to me for one second, than i'll explain!" he snapped.
"ok, geez. tell us your brillant plan." she said, sarcastically.
"look, the wall is cracked, right?" he asked them.
"uh, yeah." Artica replied.
"which means it's not as strong as a new wall, right?"
"yeah. so?"
"so, if we do enough damage to it, it will break!" he said, a bit excited. Artica blinked her eyes, and stared at Inferno with an unamused expression on her face.
"really? that's all you got?" she asked.
"it might work." Goldheart said. Artica gave him a look.
"you guys actually think that this is our best shot?" she asked them.
"at least it's a shot." Goldheart said.
"yeah, but we spent all this time sitting here, and this is all we can come up with?"
"uh, excuse me, "we"?" Inferno asked. "uh, hello, i did all the thinking."
"yeah, well, i sat quietly, and let you think. that was hard." Artica said.
"um, no, actually, you didn't. you interupted me every five minutes and asked if i had anything."
"i was just curious."
"you were annoying!" he snapped. Goldheart sighed as the two fought yet again.
"well, excuse me for asking if you thought of a way to get us out!"
"well, excuse me for putting up with your attitude all this time!"
"well, you didn't have to follow me around!"
"follow you? follow you?! you'd be dead if i didn't save your but!"
"save me?! you call that saving?! you slowed me down! i could have saved Flare by now!"
"oh, i'd like to see how long you last without me to help you!"
"i'd like to see how fast you get trapped without me there to get you out!"
"trapped?! you think i needed your help?!"
"uh, yeah! i'm the only one with the guts to actually do some freaking action around here!"
"that's because you're the only one with the stupidity to run straight into danger without thinking that you might actually get killed!"
"well, if you think i'm so stupid then why don't you just stand there and watch me get killed, huh?! i never asked for your help!"
"has it ever occured to you that some dragons actually don't want to watch others die? huh?"
"what? you actually expevt me to believe that you care wheather i live or die? because you've certainly fooled me when you're spending most of your time yelling at me!"
"yelling at you?! you always start it! that big mouth and attitude of yours get yourself into trouble! why do you think i have to keep saving you?!"
"have to?! excuse me, but i never asked for you to be my bodygaurd! in fact, i got a heck of a lot more power than you!"
"well, if you think you're so great, then why don't you go off on your own, and i can go back home!"
"well, if that's what makes you happy, then see if i care! i don't need you to save my sister!"
"fine! i certainly don't care what happens to you or her!"
"well, fine!"
"fine!" he yelled. then they turned and walked away from each other.
"good ridence!" Artica growled.

Artica walked to the far side of the room. Inferno was on the other side, near the crack. Goldheart was sitting with him, but then he got up, and started to walk away. Inferno looked at him.
"where are you going?" he asked.
"to be by myself. once we get out of here, i'm going home. i'm sick of you two fighting all the time. one minute you're fine, the next you're at each others' throats. enough is enough." he said. then he went to sit in the middle of the room by himself. Inferno looked to the other side of the room at Artica. she grunted and turned away. Inferno scoffed and looked back at the crack. Inferno breathed fire on the crack, trying to burn through it. Artica breathed a patch of ice onto the wall, and then started hitting it with her tail. Goldheat sat quietly in the middle as he heard the two trying to break through the walls of the room. then there was a loud booming sound. the three looked around, and then continued doing what they were a minute ago. then there was the sound of cheering.
"i got out!" Artica and Inferno cried out at once. they both rushed to the middle to tell Goldheart. "i got out!" they repeated. then they looked at each other. "you got out?! oh, please!" they said at once. then they grunted and turned away from each other. Goldheart sighed.
"so, how'd you guys get out?" he finally asked after a moment of silence. they each turned around.
"well, i used my ice breath to freeze the wall. then i just hit it with my tail until i broke free. cool, huh?" Artica chuckled lightly. Inferno scoffed.
"well, i used my fire breath on the crack, and weilded myself an exit. wasn't that a hot idea?" he chuckled lightly. Artica rolled her eyes.
"that's great." Goldheart muttered.
"so, Goldheart, lets go through the exit, and head back." Inferno said.
"no, no, no. Goldheart is coming with me to help save Flare. arn't you?" Artica smiled at him.
"uh, no. we're going back home. he's just as sick of you as i am." Inferno scoffed. Artica glared at him.
"he is not. we get along great. tell him, Goldheart."
"yeah right. he just told me that he's sick of hearing you yap all the time."
"as if. i'm sure i heard him say he's sick of how smart you think you are."
"well, i know i heard him say that he's getting tired of hearing your annoying voice."
"well, he told me that--"
"can he speak for himself?!" Goldheart snapped. they each looked at him confused. "you're both driving me crazy!" he said. then he walked away. the two looked at each other, surprised. Goldheart walked towards the exit Inferno made, and left.
"he's upset." Inferno muttered.
"yeah. all that stuff you said really made him mad." Artica said.
"me?! you made him mad as much as i did!" he snarled.
"what?! you're the one that made up all that stuff about him. he's never once said anything like that to me."
"well, he's never said anything like that to me either."
"well, maybe not to your face..."
"ugh! that is it! your attitude just makes it impossible for anyone to stand being around you, Artica!" Inferno snarled.
"well, you're not any better, Inferno." she scoffed.
"what is with you?! what makes you act like that? did you eat a lot of sour food when you first hatched or something?"
"why? do you care?"
"well i cared enough to save your life." he said. Artica scoffed.
"that had nothing to do with me."
"then why do you think i kept saving you?"
"i don't know."
"guess."
"doing a good deed?"
"maybe. what makes you help bail me out of traps when i think too much?" he asked. she scoffed.
"you take too long. i'm impatient. we need action. blah, blah, blah..."
"and...?"
"i want to save my sister. i've said all this."
"well, i do too. but we're wasting time. fighting each other doesn't help Flare at all."
"yet we keep doing it."
"yeah. and getting lost..."
"falling into traps..."
"running straight into danger..."
"doing stupid stuff..."
"instead of focusing on what's important......like saving your sister...."
"or just not driving Goldheart crazy." she added.
"yeah." he said. then he looked around. "hey, where is he anyway?" he asked. Artica looked around.
"i don't know..." she replied. then they heard a fearful cry.
"Goldheart!" they jumped up at once. then they raced towards the exit that Inferno had made.

well I hope they get along now. nice chapter I hope they will help eachother instead of fighting eachother. i hope goldheart is ok

Inferno and Artica raced through the exit. they now found themselves in a large dark room.
"i can't see my paw in front of my face!" Artica said.
"i can't either. hold on." Inferno replied. then he took a deep breath, and lit up the place with his flame breath.
"uh oh. no candels this time." Artica said. Inferno looked at her out of the corner of his eye. "hold on, Inferno, i'll see if i can find one." she said. then she rushed back into the other room. she frantically searched for a candel. "found one!" she said. she picked up a small white candel, and carried it back into the other room. "ok, lite it." she told him. Inferno directed his fire breath onto the candel. however, he had accidently flamed both the candel and Artica. "lite the candel, not me!" she growled.
"sorry." he said. Inferno took the candel while Artica cleaned the smoke off of herself. then they looked around for Goldheart.
"Goldheart!" Artica called. "Gold--" Inferno covered her mouth. she glared at him, and began to yell at him angerly, but her voice was muffled by his paw.
"shhhh!" he told her. "do you want whatever got him to get us too?" he asked. Artica thought for a moment, and shoke her head. "good." he said. then he removed his paw. "now, come on. we have to keep looking." he said. then they quietly walked around the room, looking for a trace of thier friend. they continued to look around for him, and then Artica gasped. "what's the matter?" Inferno asked as he turned to see what she saw. "oh no..." he muttered. they had found Goldheart, solid as a rock. he had a frightful look on his face. he was up on his hind legs, with his claws in front of him for defense. his wings were stretched out for balance, and he almost appeared as though he would have flown away at any given moment.
"they got him..." Artica said.
"yeah, and he looks pretty scared."
"but those big gaurds arn't that scary."
"no, but maybe he was outnumbered, and knew he was a goner."
"or maybe......." she thought.
"what are you thinking?"
"you don't think........it was.......something else......do you...?" she asked, nervously.
"you mean like......?"
"Flare......" she muttered. then Inferno could feel hot air on his neck.
"uh, Artica, that wouldn't, by any chance, be you breathing down my neck, would it...?" he asked. she shoke her head. Inferno gulped. "i was afraid of that..." he said. then they both turned around slowly. then they saw the one who turned Goldheart to stone.
"Flare!" Artica gasped. Flare chuckled evily.
"hey, sis, long time no see." she said in her dark, twisted voice.
"you're not my sister, you're a monster!" Artica growled.
"then that makes you one too. after all, we share the same blood."
"uh, actually, no, it doesn't make me one. i may not be perfect, but at least i still have my soul." she said. Flare smirked.
"now, why would you want that old thing? it only keeps you from your true power."
"power?" Artica asked, sounding a bit intrested.
"don't fall for it, Artica! it's just one of her tricks!" Inferno growled. Flare smirked, and looked at Inferno. she approached him, and looked into his eyes.
"and to think you thought i was cute." she smiled.
"Inferno!" Artica snarled.
"she looked diffrent then, ok?!" he said. Flare looked at Artica.
"what's this? jealously, perhaps?" she asked, curiously.
"as if! why would i ever be jealous of you?!" Artica growled.
"why wouldn't you? i have power, i have loyall servents and soldiors, i am a queen of darkness, or will be, after Anyanca of course, and......" she looked at Inferno. "...i have a slave." she smiled.
"i'm not your slave!" he growled. Flare chuckled.
"we'll see about that." she said. then she breathed a red mist into his face. his expression changed, and he appeared to be in a trance. he had a goofy smile on his face, and was starting to blush.
"Inferno!" Artica cried out, but there was no response. Flare looked at him.
"now, slave, arrest this pathetic dragon!" she ordered.
"yes, my queen!" he said. then he glared at Artica.
"Inferno! stop! don't listen to her! she's the enemy!" Artica told him. then Inferno grabbed her, and held her tightly in his grasp. Flare looked at her.
"it's no use, Artica. he only listens to me now." she smirked.
"Inferno, stop! what are you doing?! let me go!" Artica yelled.
"take her away!" Flare ordered.
"yes, my queen!" Inferno said. then he did as he was told, and took Artica away.
"Inferno! stop! let me go! Inferno! Inferno!" Artica yelled. she kicked and screamed as Inferno carried her away. Flare laughed evily as she watched her disappear into the darkness.

Inferno locked Artica up in a nearby cell. the only light was a candel on the wall. Inferno slowly and quietly began to walk away from the cell.
"wait! get back here!" Artica cried out. Inferno stopped. "if i can get him close enough, i can freeze him with my ice breath, and get out of here." she thought.
"why should i?" he asked.
"because we're on the same side, genious! now open that door!" she ordered him. he turned to face her.
"and do what? let you go free?"
"well, duh!" she replied. he chuckled lightly.
"i only listen to my queen." he said.
"where's my crown when i need it..." Artica said, jokingly. "look, Inferno, i don't know what my sister did to you, but you got to snap out of it!" she said.
"did to me? i am her loyall servent. she did nothing to me." he said. Artica slapped her forhead with her paw.
"boy are guys dumb!" she groaned. she then put her paw down. "look, try to remember. she breathed some red mist into your face, and you suddenly acted wierder than usual."
"that didn't happen. i have always obeyed my queen." he said. Artica rolled her eyes.
"boy do i have my work cut out for me." she muttered. then he turned around, and started to walk away. "wait!" she cried out. then he stopped. "um, shouldn't you, uh, stay here?" she asked. he looked back at her.
"what for?" he asked.
"to, uh, make sure, um....to make sure i don't get out."
"how could you possibly escape?"
"my ice breath. i could freeze the cell, and break it. instant freedom."
"my queen would never allow it."
"i know. which is why you should stay here." she said. he walked over to her.
"i suppose if my queen doesn't need me that i could stay here and watch you." he said.
"yay!" she said. "oh, uh, i mean, no! now i can't escape! crap!" she said. Inferno gave her a suspicious look.
"you are wierd." he said.
"takes one to know one." she said.
"i am simply a loyall servent."
"here we go again..." she muttered. "hey, Inferno, remember when Flare mentioned that she said you thought she was cute?" she asked. Inferno smiled, and nodded. "ok, well, when'd you say that?" she asked.
"that was before i ran into you." he said.
"ok. when was that?"
"sometime after you disappeared, i assume."
"actually, i was kidnapped, kinda like now, but go on."
"i answered your question."
"not much for storytelling, huh?"
"my queen never asked me to tell one to you."
"she also didn't ask you to kiss me, but you did that anyway." she said. Inferno growled.
"i did no such thing!"
"what? so, you suddenly have amnesia, or something?"
"no. i never kissed you." he groaned.
"look, it's one thing to forget it happened, but another to act like it's disgusting."
"well, it is." he said. Artica glared at him.
"excuse me?" she asked, angerly.
"the thought of being with anyone other than my queen is disgusting." he groaned. Artica growled.
"well, news flash, Romeo, but you kissed me first. besides, your under her spell. that doesn't count."
"of course it does. i fell under her spell because of the fact that i like her."
"more like the fact that she's freaking evil and used real magic on you." she corrected him.
"my queen is not evil!" he snarled. Artica gave him a look.
"really? are you that dumb? a monkey could tell you that she's evil! granted that the monkey stuck around long enough to tell you that."
"what does this have to do with monkeys?"
"look, i don't question why you call Flare your queen, so don't question the monkey."
"i wasn't. i asked you why you brought him up."
"same thing, genious!"
"why do you call me that?"
"because you think you're one!"
"no i don't. i am a loyall servent."
"well, that doesn't sound as good when i'm insulting you."
"well, why do you insult me?"
"because i don't like you." she snarled.
"it sounded like you did a moment ago." he said. Artica scoffed.
"yeah right! if there is anyone around here who likes anyone, it's you who likes me."
"in your dreams maybe." he scoffed.
"more like nightmares. how many times do i have to remind you, you kissed me."
"like i would force myself to do something so disgusting." he said. she growled.
"well, you did. Goldheart saw it."
"pfft!" Inferno scoffed.
"it's true."
"whatever you want yourself to believe."
"figures you wouldn't remember. my sister wouldn't want you to. she had to use magic on you. i didn't." she said.
"what is that suppose to mean?"
"hey, i may not be perfect, but i don't need magic to get a guy to like me."
"why would i ever like you?"
"you tell me." she said. he looked at her sky blue eyes. there was a moment of silence. he appeared to blush a little. "you're blushing." Artica whispered. then Inferno scoffed, and turned away. "what's the matter, Romeo?" she asked.
"don't call me that." he said without looking at her.
"why not?" she asked.
"because i don't like it." he replied.
"aw, did i hurt Romeo's feelings?" she teased. he glared at her.
"no!" he snapped. Artica chuckled lightly.
"you're still blushing." she whispered.
"why do you chuckle? you like it?" he asked.
"no! it's just funny. that's all."
"what is?"
"the way you act. i find it funny." she chuckled.
"well, i think you're strange."
"then you are too." she said. then there was a moment of silence.
"Inferno!" Flare called at a distance.
"coming, my queen!" Inferno yelled back. he looked at Artica. "i got to go."
"why are you telling me? it's not like i care." she scoffed. then she turned her back to him.
"fine. be that way." he scoffed. then he walked off into the darkness.

well they had their moment together then, wonder what happens next, hey thanks for posting these chapters alot lately, im very happy ot read them.

Inferno found Flare sitting in another dark room. there were lit up candels on the walls of the room. he walked up to Flare.
"do you need me, my queen?" he asked.
"what were you doing with her?" Flare asked, suspiciously.
"excuse me?" he asked.
"Artica. you were talking. why?"
"she asked me to stay."
"so you listened?"
"she said she woud escape if i didn't watch her."
"impossible. she can't escape. why waste your time with her?"
"i tried to explain but--"
"but what? you should have just walked away. don't respond, don't make eye contact, just leave."
"yes, my queen."
"stop saying that. you can't possibly listen to what she says and still call me your queen."
"i'm sorry."
"no you're not. you enjoyed it. i want you to stay away from her."
"what if she tries to escape?"
"don't worry about that. worry about falling under her spell. she tried to trick you. if you talk to her again, she will make you her slave. do you want that?"
"no."
"good. then avoid her at all cost. don't listen to a word she says. i don't want you to talk to her. i don't even want you looking at her. pretend she doesn't exist if you have to." Flare told him.
"yes, mame." he said.
"good. now go." she said. then Inferno walked away.
meanwhile, Artica breathed ice on the cell door. then she began to hit it with her tail. on the third hit, the cell broke. Artica smiled as she stepped out of the cell. then she looked around.
"if i was a fire dragon, where i be...?" she thought. then she started walking around. the further she walked form the cell, the darker it got. it wasn't long before she couldn't even see her paw in front of her face. "great, i can't see a thing, and i can't breathe fire." she said. she continued walking until she saw a light up ahead. it was far away, and it wasn't bright enough to tell what it was. "a light!" she said, excitedly. then she rushed towards it. as she got closer, she noticed there were lit up candels on the walls. then she saw a big, bright red light up ahead. then she ran into something. she got up off of the ground, rubbing her head with her paw. "oh...what did i hit...?" she groaned.
"watch where you're going!" a male voice growled. Artica put her paw down, and looked up.
"Inferno?" she asked him.
"well, what do you think i am?! a target?!" he growled.
"Inferno, i found you!" she said, excitedly. then Inferno realized who he was talking to.
"oh, Artica. i'm not supposed to be talking to you." he said.
"well, you already broke that rule." she told him.
"so it seems..." he said. then he started to walk away.
"wait!" she said. she walked up beside him. "i just found you, and i'm not about to lose you. especially if you're helping Flare."
"well, too bad." he said. then he started to walk away again. she jumped in front of him.
"yeah, too bad that Flare will just have to go without her little servent."
"but she--"
"no buts." she said. then Artica had an idea. "you know, i just remembered something that Flare needed help with."
"um, i'm not suppose to listen to you."
"shut up. i'm talking." she ordered him. then Inferno sat quietly. "so, i'm helping Flare with something, and i was wondering if you could lend me a paw."
"with what exactly?"
"does it matter? we're helping Flare, that's all we need to know."
"i guess. so, what can i do to help my queen?"
"well, we have to go see Anyanca if we're going to help her."
"Anyanca? is she going to help us?"
"in a way, yeah."
"great. then lets go find Anyanca." he said. Artica smiled.
"i knew you help me--er, Flare." she said. then they walked off into the darkness.

wow inferno got stupid with that spell flare did on him.

yeah, he's lost it.

they walked down a long hallway, lit up by candels.
"you wouldn't by any chance happen to know where she is, would you?" Artica asked him.
"uh, not really. but Flare did say she was going to see her now." Inferno replied.
"oh, great." Artica said, sarcastically. Inferno gave her a suspicious look. "i mean, i was helping her as a surprise. if she finds out, then the surprise will be ruined." she lied.
"oh, is it her birthday?"
"well, she will be getting a present."
"is that what we're doing? but i didn't get her anything."
"oh, don't worry. i can share my gift."
"really? thanks."
"no problem. i just need your help getting it."
"oh, i see. is Anyanca holding it for you?"
"in a way, yeah."
"oh. so we're going to get it. i hope Anyanca doesn't tell Flare what we're up to."
"i don't think she will."
"yeah. she wouldn't want to ruin the surprise."
"yeah, that would take all the fun out of it." she said. "ugh, how dumb can he be?" Artica thought. "maybe it was that magic Flare did to him. her little spell made him dumb! not that he was that smart to begin with." she thought. the two wandered through the hallway, and eventually came to a door. "i hope this one isn't locked." Artica said. Inferno walked up to it.
"it's open." he said as he opened the door wide open.
"well, that's a first." she said, surprised. they walked inside, and found themselves in another pitch black room. "not again!" Artica groaned.
"you want me to lite it up a bit?" Inferno asked. then they heard footsteps. Artica covered his mouth.
"shhh!" she told him. they sat quietly for a moment, and then the footsteps stopped. Inferno tried to talk, but his voice was muffled. "shhhh!" Artica shushed him.
"where are they?" asked a female voice.
"Flare is on her way here. the others have wandered off." a male voice replied.
"Totem, i want you and the other sentinels to find them, and bring them to me." the female ordered.
"yes, my queen." the male said. then there was the sound of footsteps again.
"that was one of the gaurds!" Artica thought. "and the female must be Anyanca! we found her!" she thought. "but she's looking for us. well, look no further, Anyanca." Artica lowered her paw. Inferno looked at her, and opened his mouth to speak. "shh!" she told him. then Anyanca's head darted in thier direction. they could see her lime green eyes shine in the dark.
"who is there?" she asked.
"i--" Inferno started to say. Artica covered his mouth. then the lime green eyes disappeared, and there was the sound of footsteps.
"oh no! she'll find us!" Artica thought. the footsteps grew louder. then Anyanca's eyes were visible again. she was closer now. it appeared as though she was right in front of them. she sniffed the air, and growled. Artica gulped.
"who is there?" Anyanca snarled. Inferno removed Artica's paw.
"i'm Inferno. me and Artica came here to get a present for Flare." he told her. Artica gasped, and then growled at him.
"a present? i am intrigued. what kind of present?" she asked, curiously.
"i don't know. Artica didn't tell me." he replied. the lime green eyes turned to Artica.
"tell me, child, what is this present?"
"i'm not telling you anything!" Artica growled.
"huh? are we role-playing?" Inferno asked, confused. Anyanca looked at him.
"what is wrong with this one? his intellegence seems to have decreased."
"intellegence?" Inferno asked.
"ignore him. Dumbo here, was put under a spell." Artica scoffed.
"hm, i almost feel sorry for this imbesil. almost." she said. she looked back at Artica. "now, without further interuption from him, tell me what this present is."
"oh, didn't she tell you? it's Flare's birthday. i hope you got her a present. i got mine. i just need to get it." Artica said. Anyanca growled.
"do you find me a fool? this is a trick! i see through your plan, child. you want her soul."
"well, that'll be hard to get, because Flare has it." Inferno said. Anyanca looked at him.
"i do not know what happened to you, but i asure you that Flare does not have her soul." she said.
"well, i thought she did the last time i spoke to her." he said, confused.
"oh, never mind you. you have certainly lost your mind." Anyanca said.
"no, i'm sure i still have it." he said. Artica slapped him upside the head. "ow! what was that for?" he asked her.
"shut up, dumbo!" she said.
"yes. do be quiet." Anyanca said. then she turned to Artica. "now, tell me your plan, or suffer my wrath." she snarled.
"oh! look at the time! gotta go!" Artica said. then she grabbed Inferno, and ran off into the darkness.
"but what about Flare's present?" Inferno asked.
"we'll get it later!" Artica replied as she ran faster. Anyanca growled angerly, and began to chase after them.
"Anyanca seems pretty mad. i wonder why." he thought.
"well, i'm not sticking around to find out!" she said. then she ran even faster to avoid Anyanca.

WOW Really now inferno gives a new meaning to stupid. hahaha nice way of making inferno sound really clueless.

Artica ran faster and faster, but Anyanca was following closely behind. she growled angerly as she chased them. then they heard more footsteps.
"did Anyanca grow more feet?" Inferno asked. Artica ignored him, and kept running. then they ran into something. Artica looked up, and saw Totem growling at them.
"uh oh..." Artica muttered. then Totem took a deep breath, and breathed out a grey cone breath. Artica dodged it. then she turned, and ran in the other direction. now both Anyanca and Totem chased them. Artica ran faster, but then tripped over something. then they heard a sound, like a wall sliding open. Artica and Inferno rolled forward, and then they heard the sound again. they heard footsteps run past them.
"what happened...?" Inferno groaned as he stood up. Artica got up and looked around.
"i'm not sure, but if i had to guess, i'd say i triggered a trap door, or somethnig like that. anyway, i think we're safe here. wherever 'here' is." she explained.
"oh..." Inferno sighed. "it's dark in here." he said.
"well, then, lite the place up!"
"oh right." then Inferno used his flame breath to lite up the area. it was a large room with many candels on the walls. Inferno lit them up, and then they looked around. there were three wooden doors on the far wall. other than that, the room appeared to be empty.
"well, there's not much in here." Artica said as she walked towards the middle of the room. Inferno walked up beside her.
"so, we pick a door now, or what?"
"i suppose so." she replied.
"ok." he said. then he looked at the doors. he raised his claw, and pointed at each door as he said, "eenie, meanie, miney moe..." he began. Artica gave him a wierd look.
"what are you doing?" she asked. he stopped, and looked at her.
"eenie, meanie, miney, moe. you don't know it?"
"yeah, but that's for babies. can't you just think about it like you always do?"
"what's there to think about? why can't we just pick one?"
"because it could lead us straight into danger! and i don't fancy getting either of us killed."
"oh. well, then you pick one."
"i'm not much of a thinker."
"oh. so, then, what do we do?" he asked. Artica sighed.
"i don't know..." she said. "...i wish.......i wish you could think of something.....like you use to....." she muttered.
"i could try." he said. Artica shoke her head.
"it wouldn't be the same..." she said. "...i wish there was a way i could get you back to normal....." she continued.
"what do you mean?" he asked, confused. then Artica gasped.
"i've got it!" she exclaimed.
"got what?" he asked her. she looked at him.
"a way to get you back to normal, but you're not going to like it." she said. Inferno looked confused. then Artica took a deep breath, and kissed him. then he pushed her away.
"Artica! what the heck are you doing?!" he spat. Artica looked at him.
"did it work?" she asked.
"what?! if you mean making me sick, then yes!" he growled. the goofy expression he had was now gone. Artica gasped.
"Inferno, you're back!" she exclaimed. then she hugged him.
"well, where'd you expect me to be?! at the temple?! now, get off of me!" he snarled, as he pushed her away.
"oh, sorry." she said. "i'm just glad you're back to normal." she smiled. Inferno gave her a wierd look.
"i don't know when you lost your mind, Artica, but i hope you never do that again!" he groaned.
"oh, believe me, i won't." she said.

Artica sat patiently and quietly, while Inferno paced in front of the doors. he then stopped, and sat down, facing the doors. Artica got up, and walked over to him.
"well?" she asked.
"the one on the left sounds as if there's something behind it. i heard growling on the other side. the one on the right sounded as if there might have been a trap. i heard what sounded like blades swinging side by side." he explained.
"oh, so the middle door it is then." she said.
"the middle didn't have a sound. anything could be on the other side."
"then we'll just have to go see what it is." she said. Artica walked over to the door with Inferno right behind her. she opened the door, and saw a long hallway. "oh, great. not again! i'm sick of this maze-like place!" she groaned. Inferno walked up beside her.
"i know, me too, but we'll find a way out of here." he assured her.
"yeah, but when?"
"i don't know." he replied. then they started walking down the hallway. they walked in silence the whole way, and after a while, Artica lowered her head. she appeared to be upset. Inferno looked at her. "what's the matter?" he asked, sounding concerned. she looked at him.
"i'm worried about Goldheart and Flare. Goldheart was turned to stone, and Flare is evil. i just hope we can help them." she said.
"we will. we just need to find where they're keeping Flare's soul."
"yeah, but what if we don't find it? we could be lost in here forever!"
"i doubt we'll be here that long. either we'll find a way out or--"
"or...?"
"they'll eventually kill us." he said. Artica looked away.
"great, that's very comfroting." she said, sarcastically as they walked down the hallway. they soon approached a door. "another one? ok, seriously, i think she's playing with us. i'm sure she's watching us right now, saying, "ha! they'll get so mad at my maze-like home that they'll eventually give up!"" Artica joked in a diffrent voice. Inferno chuckled lightly.
"i doubt it, but this is staring to get very irritating."
"i know, right? it's like she wants to drive us insane." she chuckled lightly.
"yeah, we'll slowly drift into madness, and she'll be watching us, eating burnt chiken or something." he chuckled.
"yeah, it's like dinner and a movie." she chuckled.
"fine, as long as we're not the dinner." he said.
"yeah." she said. "they'll all just be sitting around the vision pool wacthing and say, "hey, can you pass the burnt chicken?"" she joked in a diffrent voice.
"yeah." he chuckled. they laughed for a moment, and looked at each other. Inferno smiled.
"what?" she asked.
"you know, those voices you did were kind of cute." he said.
"cute?" she ased, surprised. "since when exactly am i 'cute'?"
"since you're not yelling at me." he teased.
"oh, so what? it's hard to think i'm cute when we're at each others' throats?" she asked.
"actually, yeah." he chuckled lightly. Artica smiled. then Inferno smiled. "you know, i think this is the first time we've gotten along."
"you know, i think you're right." she chuckled lightly. they looked at each others' eyes as they slowly walked down the hallway.
"you know, i never really noticed this before, but your eyes are pretty, your smile is cute, and i love your laugh." he smiled. Artica looked away. then she looked back at him.
"oh, so you just now noticed?" she asked. Inferno turned away.
"uh, well, i, uh....." he started to blush. Artica chuckled lightly.
"i'm only kidding!" she chuckled as she hit him playfully on the shoulder. then she sped up to a jog, and looked back at him. "come on, the last one to the end of the hallway wins!" she called before running off.
"hey, no fair! you got a head start!" he hollered as he ran after her.
"of course it's fair! haven't you ever heard of "ladies first"?" she called to him as she sped up. Inferno ran faster to keep up with her.
"well, i'm not a gentleman, i never let you go first!" he yelled as he ran after her.
"oh, i figured that out!" she laughed.
"what's that suppose to mean?" he asked as he sped up, and ran beside her.
"you'll have to catch me to find out!" she said. then she winked at him before running up ahead. Inferno chuckled lightly, and raced after her.

Inferno and Artica laughed as they raced down the hallway. Inferno caught up with her, and they ran ran side by side. they ran faster and faster, trying to beat each other. then suddenly, they ran into something. they got up, shoke thier heads, and then looked up at what they had hit. they gasped at the sight of an angry sentinel. the sentinel growled at them. Artica glared at him.
"don't you growl at me!" she growled back. the sentinel looked surprised.
"Artica, what are you doing?" Inferno muttered under his breath.
"just watch." she muttered. the sentinel growled at her. "now stop that! you got a lot of nerve sitting right here in the way while we're racing!" she growled. the sentinel looked slithly confused. then he snarled, and raised his paw. then he swiped at Artica. she groaned as the sentinel had made a cut above her right eye. then Inferno jumped in front of her, and growled at the sentinel. the sentinel then whirled around, and raised his tail to attacked. Inferno ducked, but the sentinel's tail hit Artica, knocking her back down the hallway.
"Artica!" Inferno yelled as he looked back. then the sentinel swiped at Inferno, and kncoekd him into the wall. he landed on the ground with a thud. then he jumped up, and growled at the sentinel. the sentinel growled as his tail swung around. his big, powerful tail hit the walls hard, causing them to shake. the ceiling began to crumble, and was about to cave in. Inferno looked back to see Artica getting up off of the ground. "Artica!" he yelled. then part of the ceiling caved in, and she dissappeared out of view. a pile of rubble now stood between him and Artica. the sentinel growled at Inferno. Inferno glanced back at him, and looked back towards the pile of rubbish. then the sentinel whirled around, and hit Inferno with his tail. Inferno flew into the wall, and caused more of the ceiling to cave in. a big chunk of the ceiling fell on top of the sentinel's head, kncoking him unconcious. Inferno got back up, and looked at the pile of rubble. just then, a piece of the ceiling hti hsi head, and knocked him unconcious.

Inferno and the sentinel were burried beneath the rubble. dust filled the air from the rubble. just then, a pile of rubble was turned to ice.
"ugh!" a female voice grunted. then there was a breaking sound, and the rubble was shattered to pieces. the air cleared, and then Artica stood there with broken ice shards all around her. she looked around for any sign of movement. then she saw a bit of rubble move. "Inferno?!" she called. the rubble moved more, and she rushed over to the pile of rubbish. she quickly began removing rubble from the pile. she kept going until she found the head of a dragon. she gasped when the opens opened. she then peered into the dark eyes of the sentinel. it raised it's head, and glared at her. Artica took a few steps back, and watched as the sentinel pushed the pile of rubbish off of himself. then he stood up, and roared angerly. he turned to face Artica, and growled at her. he slowly walked towards her as he snarled. Artica backed up until she backed into a pile of rubble. the sentinel approached her, and raised his paw to attack. just then, a fire ball flew at his face, and burned his eyes. the sentinel groaned in pain as he backed away from Artica. then a young dragon jumped in front of Artica, and growled at the sentinel.
"Inferno!" Artica exclaimed. the sentinel faced them, but now couldn't see because of the fire ball. he roared angerly, and then rushed at them. Inferno growled, and charged at the sentinel. they charged at each other, and then suddenly, a dark cloud appeared in front of them. they came to a dead stop in front of it. then when it cleared, a young dragoness stood there.
"Flare!" Inferno growled.
"hello, Inferno." she hissed. Artica ran up to his side, and growled at her sister. the sentinel then growled at Artica. "leave us." she told him. then the sentinel turned, and walked away. Flare took a step towards Inferno, and looked into his eyes. "my spell has broken..." she said, calmly. Inferno snarled.
"and don't think of trying it again!" he growled. Flare chuckled lightly.
"i had a much better plan." she said. Artica glared at her.
"you leave him alone!" she growled. Flare looked at her.
"that is not for you to decide!" she snarled. then with a wave of her paw, Artica went flying into the wall.
"Artica!" Inferno yelled. then Flare turnedh is head towards her.
"forget her!" she growled. "you're with me now." she said.
"i'll neer work for you again!" he growled.
"we'll see about that." she said. then she breathed red mist into his face, and then she kissed him.

Artica got up, and looked at them. she gasped at what she saw. then Inferno pushed Flare away. he growled, and then slapped her. she snarled at him.
"i'm not......i won't......." Inferno groaned, and lowered hsi head. Flare smirked.
"you can't fight my spell." she said.
"Inferno..." Artica muttered.
"no........i won't........i'm not.........your........." he groaned.
"come on...fight it..." Artica muttered.
"give up, Inferno, you won't win." Flare said. Artica snarled. then she ran up to her, and tackled Flare.
"leave him alone!" she growled. Flare kicked her into the wall, ad hopped up. she smirked.
"Artica!" Inferno ran over to her, and helped her up. then he groaned, and lowered his head.
"you can fight it!" Artica told him.
".....ugh...........can't..........fight........." he groaned.
"yes you can! don't give up!" she encouraged him.
"stop helping him!" Flare growled. then with a wave of her paw, she knocked Artica into the far wall.
"leave her alone!" Inferno growled. then he charged at Flare. she raised her paw, and he hovered in the air, unable to move. she walked over to him.
"do not try to defy me!" she growled. Artica got up, and glared at Flare. her eyes started to glow.
"hey, Flare!" she called. Flare turned to face her.
"what's this? what's going on?" she asked as Artica's body started to glow.
"this is my power!" Artica growled. then Flare and Inferno glowed blue. Inferno fell to the ground with a thud. then he got up, and glared at Flare. she glared at him. then they growled, and attacked each other with teeth and claws. then Artica ran towards them. she then grabbed Inferno, and started running away. Flare growled, and chased after them. Inferno growled at Flare while Artica ran.

Inferno and Flare growled at each while Artica sped up. Flare ran faster to keep up with her. they all continued to glow. then Artica ran into something. she looked up to see Anyanca standing there. she glared at them.
"hello, children." she snarled. then Artica whirled around to see Flare clsing in on them with the five sentinels right behind her. then the sentinels started to glow blue. Inferno broke free of Artica's grasp, and stood by Flare. Flare, Inferno, and the sentinels all growled. then they jumped over Anyanca, and attacked her viciously. "no! stop! stop this madness this instant!" Anyanca roared, but they didn't listen. they continued to attack her viciously. Artica watched them tear at Anyanca's body.
"if they can stall her long enough, i might be able to get Flare's soul back." she thought. then she ran off down the hallway while the others attacked Anyanca.

Artica ran down the hallway, and could hear the distant cries of the dragons as she ran. she kept running, and soon saw something up ahead.
"a door!" she said. then she sped up. she rushed through the door, and came to a dead stop on the other side. she now found herself standing in a small, dark room. there were bookcases and shelves with potions on them. there was a black cauldron by a large wooden table near the far wall, and in the middle of the room was a small pool with some strange black liguid. there was an open book on the table by the cauldron. it was surrounded by ingridents and empty viles. Artica looked around to room as she walked towards the cauldron. she peered insdie, and saw some ugly green liquid inside. she groaned at the terrible smell of the bubbling liquid. she then peeked at the book on the table. it was open to a specific spell. "a soul-sperating spell!" she gasped. "this is the place! i fianally found it!" she said, excitedly. she then approached a bookcase with many potions, viles, and containers on it. she looked at all the viles, noticing that none were labeled. "great. how do i know what's what?" she asked as she looked at everything. she then randomly began picking up viles, wondering if any of them could be Flare's soul.
