Kobolt motioned for Leopardshadow to follow him. Wearily, she did. Kobolt still felt the pouring rain falling hard on his back as he landed. Leopardshadow lay on the ground. It was probably the most bloody, horrific sight Kobolt had ever seen. Her wing was torn and a trickle of blood dripped from it. Her belly was sliced open and stained with crusted blood. Fresh blood oozed from her face and legs. "Kobolt?" she coughed. "Yeah, I'm here." he replied. She tried to look up at him, but blood was pooling from her face. "I-I didn't kill Redheart." she rasped. "B-but." Kobolt began. "She died...saving me." Leopardshadow continued. "Icicles were falling off the cave ceiling." Leopardshadow could nearly see it in her mind. "She pushed me out of the way, as they all fell on her...." Leopardshadow finished. Kobolt felt a tear coming out of his eye. "...She loved you, Kobolt." Leopardshadow whispered. Kobolt was speechless and an akward silence passed over the two. Finally, he nodded. "I...I know she did." he stammered. He stared over at Leopardshadow. "I'm sorry I blamed you." he whispered.
