After they ate, everyone headed in for bed, especially Blackfire. Bluefire, like always, didn’t want to go to bed and was trying every excuse to not go to sleep…
“Come on, mom. Just five more minutes.” complained Bluefire
“No, not tonight. You need to go to bed. You had a long day today.” said Crystal
“PLEASE??” wined Bluefire
“No, see even Rougestone is going to sleep, right?”
“Yes I am. You need you sleep kid.”
“Hey!”
“What?”
“Can you stop calling me ‘kid’?”
“That depends, what’s my name?”
“Mr. Rougestone” Bluefire answered
“Then, no. Go to sleep. Good night kid.”
“Fine, I’ll go to bed.” *Bluefire ran to his room and stuck his out of the door and stuck his tongue out at Rougestone. Rougestone pretended to chase after him but stopped as Bluefire shut the door. Crystal caught up with Rougestone before he went into his room…
“Thanks” she whispered to him
“It’s no problem.”
“You know, you are really making your mark on our family.”
“Is that a good thing?”
“Of course it is. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say that you were his brother.”
“Thanks”
“O and by the way, I talked to Blackfire and he said that he wasn’t going to do what he didthis morning again without your consent.”
“Thank you, it’s good to know that.”
“You know, you opened his eyes.”
“What do you mean by that?”
“Blackfire has always thought that any dragon that has had a great power or a great control over any power, were all egotistical. You showed him wrong today.”
“Thanks again, and thank you for your hospitality”
“It is no problem. Well, I have held you up long enough, go ahead and get some sleep, tomorrow’s a new day.”
“Good night”
“Good night, Rougestone”
Crystal made her way to Sapphire’s room to say good night and then went to her own room. Rougestone went into his room and got himself ready for bed. Just as he was about to lay down, he heard the door open slowly. He turned around and saw Sapphire at the door way…
“Shouldn’t you be going to bed?” he asked her
“I couldn’t without saying good night to you.” she said in her defense.
“Well, good night then. We both had a long day today, yet you don’t seem tired”
“I guess I am just used to it”
“Alright, well you should still get some rest.”
“Ok, good night Rougestone”
“Good night, Sapphire”
*Sapphire left his room and Rougestone laid down. As soon as he did, he was sound asleep*

After a load crack, Rougestone awoke in the same dream as before. This time, it was the most violent of all of the dreams that he has had so far. He could make out large groups of dragons at war with each other. The cracking that he was hearing was the sound of armor against armor in each of the clashes that were happening right before him. All he could do was watch. Then, all of a sudden, they all disappeared. Flames surrounded him once again and closed in on him.

As Rougestone slept, Bluefire poked his head in again to see if he was awake. He nudged the door open just enough to get his head in and watched Rougestone tossing in his sleep again. Once again, he didn’t want to wake him, so he closed the door quietly and left the room.
Rougestone woke up sweating and shaking again. He also awoke with a pair of eyes watching him…
“What the…” said Rougestone
“What’s wrong with you?” asked Bluefire
“It’s nothing, kid. Just more nightmares”
“O, that doesn’t sound like fun”
“No, it’s not. I have no control over them, though”
“Well, why not?”
“Kid, they’re dreams, no one has control over their dreams”
“O, ok. Anyway, what are we going to do today?”
“I don’t know. Let’s see what everyone else is up to”
Rougestone followed Bluefire out of his room and into the hallway. Bluefire bumped into Blackfire as he made his way down the hall…
“What’s the rush?” asked Blackfire
“We want to know what is going on today. Anything exciting?” answered Bluefire
“O, well as far as I know, there isn’t much going on today. Rougestone, you don’t seem to be a morning dragon. You look like you were up all night.”
“No, I’m not really a morning dragon. Sleep hasn’t come easily to me for the past week or so.”
“Sorry to hear that. Back to what is going on today, I think Crystal and Sapphire are in the training room working on Sapphire’s elements”
“What are her elements?” asked Rougestone
“Why don’t you go see for yourself?” answered Blackfire
“Ok, come on Bluefire”
“Rougestone, before you go, can we talk for a second?”
“Sure, go ahead Bluefire, I’ll catch up with you later.”
“Ok, Mr. Rougestone.” replied Bluefire
“So what is on your mind, Blackfire?” asked Rougestone
“I wanted to talk to you about yesterday.”

“What about yesterday?” asked Rougestone
“The whole ‘what can you do?’ thing” answered Blackfire
“Well?”
“I should have asked you before I did what I did”
“That would have been nice”
“I apologize for that. I am just glad that you had enough control to keep that last one from hitting me.”
“I meant to do that. I only wanted to show you what I could do.”
“You sure did”
“Hey, just between you and me, that wasn’t my best.”
Blackfire just stared at Rougestone, thinking about what else this dragon was capable of doing.
“Really?” Blackfire asked after a moment of silence
“Don’t get any ideas.” said Rougestone
“Don’t worry; I am done for a while. I’ll take your word for it, this time.”
“This time?” he asked
“Yeah, I might want a rematch. All in good fun, though. Not in a serious manner.”
“Now that I would be ok with.” answered Rougestone
“Right, well…is there anything else that you wanted to talk about?” asked Rougestone
“No, nothing more at the moment. Go off to the training room, Bluefire must be waiting for you.”
“Right, talk to you later, Blackfire”
“Yes, see you later.”
Rougestone walked away from Blackfire and headed towards the training room.

Narrator: We are encountering some Off Topic scenes, please wait while we sort them out.

Rougestone walked into the training room and noticed Bluefire sitting up against the wall and watching his sister and mother train. He walked over to him and sat down next to him. Neither Crystal or Sapphire noticed him come in, they just kept training…
“So, what’s up, kid?”
“Nothing really. This is just the same type of training that they are always doing.”
Rougestone then watched them for a little bit, hoping to see what Sapphire could do, but all they did was do some dodging techniques…
“I thought that your father said that they were working on their elements.” he said to Bluefire
“Yeah, he did say that. I guess they decided to work on something else today.” Bluefire answered
Crystal was firing ice shards at Sapphire, and she dodged them effortlessly. When they seemed to be finished, Rougestone stood up and walked over to them…
“We seem to have had an audience today.” Crystal said to Sapphire
“Yeah, looks like it” she answered
“Good morning you two.” replied Rougestone
“Morning” they both said at the same time
“So what are you doing here?” asked Sapphire
“Well, your father said that you were working on your elements.”
“Yeah, we were going to, but we decided to do something different. Why?”
“I wanted to see what elements you have.”
“Then come on Rougestone, let’s go”
“What?”
“You said that you wanted to see. Just don’t do anything crazy like with dad.”
“Here we go again.” said Rougestone

“Are you seriously ok with this, Crystal?” asked Rougestone
“From what I saw yesterday, yes I am ok with it. I know that you won’t hurt her” answered Crystal
“I’m ok with it too. I trust you enough.” said Sapphire
“Ok, but this still doesn’t feel right” said Rougestone
After his agreement, Crystal went over to Bluefire and sat down next to him, Rougestone and Sapphire stayed in the center…
“You ready?” asked Sapphire
“As ready as I am going to be” he answered back
“Go, Mr. Rougestone!” Bluefire yelled
Before Sapphire even took another step, Rougestone created an earth dome over himself, protecting him from all sides…
“I thought that you wanted to see what I could do” he heard from outside his defense.
“Don’t worry, I won’t be in here for much longer” he called back
*to herself* “What the heck is he doing in there?”
There was a small rumble and the dome broke apart and sent rocks flying everywhere. Sapphire had no trouble dodging them…
“Are you just playing with me now?” she asked him
“In a way, yes” he replied “I am not going to fight you like I did with your father”
“I want somewhat of a challenge, though. That was too easy.”
“Ok. Let me know when you have had enough.”

“I certainly hope that she knows what she is doing” Crystal said to herself
“Then let’s go. You wanted to show me what you can do. You make the next move. You don’t have to hold back on me, but I will go easy on you.” Rougestone said
Sapphire just nodded to Crystal and she nodded back.
Sapphire’s eyes turned a brilliant shade of blue *bluer then her eyes before* and she leapt up into the air. Small flakes of snow started to fall in the room. Bluefire moved closer to Crystal for warmth. The snow then started falling faster and started piling up in large amounts all over the room. The snow eventually stopped falling and Sapphire landed back on the ground, her eyes still the same shade of blue. Rougestone knew better than to let his guard down, he knew that some things might seem harmless when they are the most dangerous. Sapphire then turned her entire focus on Rougestone. Two hands made of snow suddenly shot out of the snow on Rougestone’s left and right. With open palms they both flew towards him. Rougestone quickly sent two large walls out of the ground and snow on his left and right to stop the attack. It worked in stopping the hands, but they kept on pushing the walls. Suddenly, Rougestone felt his feet sinking into the snow. He didn’t resist, instead, he allowed the snow to pull him under while he lowered the walls. The hands just missing him on his way down…
“Sis, is he ok?” yelled Bluefire
“Yeah, I still have him held down there!”

Ooh, go Saphire! I like Roughstone too.

As soon as she said that, there was a very faint rumble and Rougestone shot out of the ground riding an earth pillar…
“Very nice, Sapphire” he said as the pillar slowed to a stop
“Thanks”
“That was impressive, but easy to get out of”
“Don’t get cocky, now.” she said “There is still more to come.”

After she said that, snow from the ground started to crawl up the newly made pillar. Rougestone then shot the pillar straight into the ground, taking him with it and just missed getting hit with the snow…
“Where did he go now?” Sapphire asked herself
“I’m over here!” she heard, but see couldn’t see anyone
Something then came out of the ground. It was Rougestone and he started to wave at her. Even though she thought that he was acting a little weird, she still attacked him. She scored a direct hit on him with one of her snow fists, only instead of flying backwards; he just shattered into little pieces.

Oh! What happened! TELL ME!! JK.

“You broke Mr. Rougestone!!” cried Bluefire
“No, I didn’t. It was a copy.” she yelled back
All of a sudden, the snow started to stir. Slowly, Rougestones started to appear, and they were all moving. Sapphire started taking them out one by one, but for every one that she destroyed, another one popped up out of the snow in its place. After breaking one more, she decided to think for a second. Only, as soon as she stopped attacking them, they all turned and stared in her direction and didn’t move at all. Then they spoke…
“Having trouble!” they all said at the same time
“Want to know which one of us is real?” they continued
Sapphire just closed her eyes, stayed still, and thought for a second, not letting them get to her head.
“To bad you don’t know which one of us is real!”
*To herself* “He has to be above ground to be able to control them so easily. Which one is he, though? Just try and think, Sapphire, you can do this. There has to be something that I am missing. They all look the same, though.”
She opened her eyes to see them again. Like she said, they all looked the same. She closed her eyes again and thought for another second.
“I got it!” she said to herself

What will she do...?

She destroyed one of the copies and as soon as she did, she looked around at the other copies. They only just stared back. She thought that she would see the real one focusing on the one that she just destroyed, but they all just stared at her as a new one took its place. She had one more idea; she was going to take them all out at the same time. She started to melt the snow so that there was a huge puddle of water on the ground and then before any of the copies could go underground, she froze the water. She then used the snow that was left on the ground to break the copies until there was one left…
“Alright, Rougestone, I got you. It's over.”
When she said that, the dragon that she was talking to disintegrated.
“What the…?! I thought that that was him!”

Oh, dang! C'mon Saphire, you can figure it out!

yeah! go Saphire! you can do it!
Fireflight: come on Saphire, beat him!
