"ugh." I say after bring hit. I used a spell to Recover. "much better.'' I smile.

I simply stand there and smile, watching this unfold and making sure no wounds become too fatal.

I then use my wand to do a fire ball. Then my "Plushie" Used a frost beam at him, too.

Austin destroyed the attacks with a rock wall "Sorry, Just trust me guys" He told everyone else

I looked at austin. "Why?" I asked then took down the wall. I redid my attacks.

Austin built another wall "I might be able to get Lotus back out from Pyre's control" He said to Maria

"Why are you trying to block my attacks?" I asked.

"She won't talk to me unless you stop attacking" Austin said

"Okay okay." I sigh. I put my wand away and my "Plushie" away in my bag.

Sangris rammed into the wall and began furiously beating his tail against it. "Kill her. NOW. KILL HER." His bloodlust would be difficult to stop at this point.

"Sangris! Stop!" Ki yelled as he pulled him away from the wall "You want to kill something, kill me" He said

More than happy to oblige at the moment, Sangris swiped his paw at Ki. After processing the voice, though, he halted himself - the impact of his paw would hurt, but wouldn't cut or leave a significant injury.

"I'll hold off for now. You better know what you're doing."

"Ok, just trust Austin buddy" Ki said as he petted Sangris

"Pyre, can we talk now, they've stopped fighting" Austin said

"So," Pyre said, teleporting to Austin. "What do you seek of me? Make it quick, I've still got a ritual to finish." She sounded more annoyed than anything, barely even sounding seductive in the slightest.

"We'll talk in private, so you can trust me, I'll even leave my weaponry here" Austin said as he dropped any weaponry he had on him and entered the hut

Rosa unsure of all of this had been waiting outside. She knew nobody would be hurt seriously not at this point at least but at the moment she was busy trying to fit together whether killing such a person that was being controlled the only option. She at least had a sturdy standing on the thought that attacking Pyre was wrong even when Foxtail had called for aid as she knew killing her whether she wanted to or not wasn't going to happen. Also she didn't know Pyre's story what if all in the end is for good. So many thoughts in turmoil she walked towards the back of the group mulling things over and over waiting for some sort of sign that Lotus was back as she had felt only a surface of her soul.

"Very well then." Pyre followed Austin inside, never letting her guard down.

Rosa, I need you try and use your power on Lotus. If Austin's planning what I think he is, then that and his light power combined might be enough to snap her out of it. Foxtail felt confident in his theory and prayed that the ritual hadn't proceeded too far.

"Ok, now Pyre, why are you evil, you don't need to be" Austin said as he sat down

Rosa hearing the call didn't know about his request but feeling it was urgent pushed her thoughts away and carefully groped for Lotus' soul trying to find a familiar glimpse of her trapped soul. Foxtail tell me about her spirit tell me what she's like it will help me find her soul. Rosa then continued her search until she found a familiar feeling but felt unsure still and waited for a description of Lotus.

Wow, where do I even begin? Lotus is an amazing girl, she's never crossed me, always by my side when I need her, and while she can be a bit feisty, I know it's just her natural instincts. She's always upbeat and energetic, kind and understanding, sees people for who they are and more than happy to take them under her wing if she feels sorry enough for them. In short, she's everything I could ask for in a girl, and it breaks my heart to see her like this. Foxtail could have said more, but then he would have gone on for hours. His voice caught a little, a sign he was tearing up. So please help her if you can, I don't think I could stand a life without my Lotus.

"Pyre, I can help you become good, just give me a chance" Austin said with a smile

It's okay I found her. Rosa said both outwardly and inwardly smiling. She gently touched her soul and immediately felt a surge of power repel her but she had felt this dark presence in many animals and pushed through to caress her soul and strengthened it with encouragement. Foxtail what empowers her spirit? Rosa knew certain things moved souls to do things such as fear can hinder but also provoke determination.

Feeling a strange sense of warmth in her soul, Pyre shivered a bit, trying to keeping Lotus restrained. "The influence of the Exmortis is too much to be shifted. Resistance is futile." She partly spoke to Austin, partly to Lotus, but it was clear she was on the verge of breaking.

What empowers her... Foxtail thought for a bit before being struck with brilliance. Our love. He went to open the door and set things right, but alas, Pyre's telekinesis held it shut. Although she was weakening, her force still stood strong.

"Trust me, I know, ever since we found out who's been causing the nightmares my friends have been having, Ki was scared, you might know his dad, he's high-ranking in Exmortis, but why be evil, I can make you a body if being trapped in Lotus is making you act this way, truth is, I like you Pyre" Austin said to Pyre, he was being sincere to her

Lotus, Rose called quietly into the soul, Please resist harder your Foxtail has been out here waiting for you to come back to us. He misses you I know this must be hard Lotus but you can do it. Rose finished and still caressed Lotus' soul a bit winded from so much concentration.

"Trapped? Ha! The only one who is trapped is Lotus, and it's for the best she stays like that. She's too perky for her own good, silly girl. I'm doing her a favor, keeping her where she is. And evil? Please. There is no good or evil, there is only power, and those too weak to recognize it." Austin was getting through to her; her faltering voice and slightly worried expression showed it, and Rosa's soul-calming words were running their course.

"I can help you Pyre, deep down, you're a wonderful person" Austin said, again, telling Pyre exactly how he felt

"Au-Austin..." Lotus's voice came from Pyre's mouth. "I can't hold her off for long... but whatever you guys are doing, it's working..."
"How!? What are you doing!? Stay down, child! You are nothing without me! You dare disobey me?"

"N-no... you're wrong!" Lotus said, her voice becoming stronger, braver, less distant. "I don't need you! You can't contain me!" Pyre was now shuddering greatly as Lotus regained some hold on her body. "We just need a little more...."

"And I've got just the thing." Foxtail dashed in, took Pyre in his arms, and gave her a long, deep kiss. Pyre resisted for a bit before submitting, eyes shut, her dragon wings and spines sinking back into Lotus's body, fur lightening into its natural golden hue, hair and tail extinguished. She opened her eyes. They were Lotus's bright sky blue eyes, instead of Pyre's dark purple, a sign that Pyre was now only but a memory... hopefully.

Tears began to stream down the young vixen's furry face, and she cried, partly from sadness and fear from her experience beforehand, but mostly from happiness toward her freedom. The two exchanged smiles before holding one another tightly, cuddling up on the hut's floor, yipping and purring joyfully.

It was a sight enough to warm even the coldest of hearts.

Austin half-smiled at the sight of Foxtail and Lotus "Guys, I feel bad for Pyre, she seemed so, emotional" He said while he thought about Pyre "I think I might love her" Austin said to them

Rose collapsed smiling and happy for the reunion with sweat beading down her forehead and her chest heaving. Then she heard what Austin had said and immediately bolted upright and asked, "Is Pyre okay?" Then dizzy from the sudden movement lay back down to wipe her forehead. "I need to know," Rose said exasperated feeling a horrible feeling wash over her at the thought of perhaps being a help to the death of an innocent's loved one, then she passed out to have the repeating dream of the giant monster killing her uncle.

"Aww, " I say. "Thats fine." I replied to Austin.

"Thanks Maria" Austin said

Ki ran over to Rosa "Are you ok buddy" He asked as Makil checked on Frost

Oh yeah, I'm just fine. Getting sucked back into the dream world was exactly what I wanted to do with my life. Pyre's spitefully sarcastic voice sounded from parts unknown, seeming to target anyone who took part in freeing Lotus from her clutches. I'm not going to forget this. Just try and go to sleep again, I dare ya.

Foxtail and Lotus both disregarded this as Lotus explained her dream to him. "So, you saw the part where she killed me, right?"
"That's right," said Foxtail, encouraging her to continue.
"Before she did, she said something about a 'Hand of Repose' and went on and on about how this Exmortis will 'make the world remember what was, and reinstate what will be.'"
"Well, I don't know anything about it either..." he said, turning his attention to the group. "Anyone else know anything about it?"

"All I know is that Ki's father is one of their top generals" Austin said, his mind was somewhere else though "Can you tell me more about Pyre" He asked

Rose tossed and turned in her sleep. It was somehow the same dream but worse. There was blood everywhere as she ran towards her uncles screaming she was slowed down by a stream of blood running against her, but she made it as always to see her uncle die in front of her completely torn to bits and being mauled.. The only thing confirming that it was her uncle was the shredded remains of the hat she gave him so many years ago. Then the giant wolf turned to her and Rose could do nothing but stare at him she no longer had the energy to calm his spirit even in a dream, it was like she was there for real. The beast carrying the blood of hundreds lunged towards her with his gaping bloodied jaws but changed to clawing her to death. As Rose laying there screaming both in dream and a loud in her sleep. "Nooo! Gahhhhhh!" Rose screamed at the top of her lungs over and over again her protests as she imagined the pain in her dreams.

"She's trouble" Lotus said blatantly. "If she seems at all interested in you, it's only for the sex and labor. She'll take advantage of you, wrap her around her little finger, and once you've outlived your usefulness... well, I hope you don't mind being a pile of ash." Lotus looked at Austin urgently as she warned him. "Trust me; you do not want anything to do with Pyre. If you know what's best for you, you won't try to get involved with her."

"Seems like an awesome person. Now, if you don't mind me, I'll be taking a nap on your roof," Sangris said. With that, he flew up.

[Lotus got returned back to normal, Pyre is trapped in the dream world again, Austin fell in love with Pyre, and now Rosa's nightmare is becoming more intense.]

Rosa!? Foxtail was immediately at the screaming elven girl's side, trying to make spiritual contact with her, see if he could somehow get through to her subconscious. She certainly was in pain, that much was obvious. He wasn't sure if his bio-powers were able to make the leap between the physical world and the world of nightmares, but he took the risk and focused as much life energy on her as he could.

"Foxtail," Rose screamed outwardly tears running down her face, "Wake me up!" She curled into a ball and cried feeling an infinite amount of claws tearing at her skin in the dream world. Serum in pocket. Force it. Drink! Rose said trying to tell Foxtail what to do to awaken her from her nightmare, by forcing her to drink the one serum she had in her pocket to awaken someone a sleep that had usually fainted from shock.

He snagged the serum from her pocket and shoved the bottle into Rosa's mouth, tilting her head upward to pour the serum down her throat.

Ki ran over to Rosa and tried to wake her by shaking her gently "Something's wrong, she's not waking up" Ki was panicing

"I don't think she's bad, I think she acts the way she does because she's trapped in the dream world, I'm freeing her, I'm sorry if you hate me for it" Austin before getting up and going back home, he went into the basement and opened his teleporter, he set it to retrieve Pyre from the dream world, it spurred up and a puff of smoke released from the machine after it finish retrieving her

Rose startled awake coughing and took the rest of her serum to be sure that she was awake. Huffing air and whipping the residue from her face she tried to calm herself as she started crying again. So many times had she seen her uncle die but this was the worst of them. "Thank you Foxtail," she said with a small smile and turned to everyone, "is everyone okay and what about Pyre?" Rose continued tears still streaming down her face as she profusely whipped them away. "And Lotus especially she's alright?" she asked as she turned to look at her and smiled again to see she was for the most part fine from being trapped.

Sangris landed on the roof, and promptly tried to rest. The very thought of getting nightmares, however, was keeping him up. Sooner or later, however, the exhaustion would kick in and he would just fall asleep.

I walked over to everyone. "Rosa! Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, but I'm more worried about you. What happened that time?" Foxtail sat looking up at Rosa, his eyes heavily laden with concern.

I swear, every day I fall in love with him all over again. Lotus smiled at her boyfriend caring for this girl. She liked the fact that Foxtail, despite being her soulmate, didn't feel compelled to care only for her. Now, if Foxtail were to, say, betray her trust and engage in sexual congress with another female, then she'd have a problem, but thankfully, Foxtail wasn't that kind of guy.

"Alright, alright you won already! You don't have to rub it in!" Pyre certainly sounded grumpy, but redness in her eyes suggested she had been crying. For some reason or another, she appeared transparent, and would be intangible to the touch.

"I'm not rubbing anything in Pyre" Austin said as he sat next to Pyre "I wanted to say, that I love you" He said as he tried to hug her "Uhg, stupid teleporter"

"I think her nightmare was worse this time" Ki said to his fellow fox

I stare upon the group, thinking as I watch this all unfold, then throw in my two cents,"The nightmares may get stronger over time, or maybe if you're in close proximity to other targets you're targeted."

"I'm okay," Rose tried to feign with a smile though tears insistently still once in awhile streaked down her cheeks although she tried to find comfort in everyone's wellness. She then looked at everybody and hearing Ki's comment she said, "Yes it was worse. Much worse." Rose sat there and sort of curled her knees in to her chest. "The wolf that kills my uncle he mauled him into nonrecognition and started tearing away at me. It hurt really bad, but I don't think I was hurt physically. I can just remember it and the pain comes back."
