OOC: There's no story behind it. It's just a huge mass of land I created on the spot when writing the plot for this story. In the future, I may add something to it, but for now, there is so backstory for the land of Elor.

OOC: I hope you don't mind if I confirm it in my backstory. It fit the bill for a "nearby land" and I'll still leave it as vague as possible.

"Elor... its been such a long while since I've heard that name. That is where I was originally from, before I was caught in the sea and showed up here.," Bikil commented with peaked interest.

"However, Elor isn't our land, nor the land we should be concerned about here." Cenor continued. "Our main priority is our land now, Siyalor, and the elder dragons have confirmed that the dark mist is coming from the west, mostly from Xabar. Do you know of Xabar?" Cenor bent down and looked at Shade and Bikil.

"Isn't it that place with the deadly spiked rocks or something?" Starz piped up.

Shade's helmet vains went down indicating he was a little frightened by Cenor's actions. "N-no sir." Shade said. "I've never ventured outside the city except to the next village or town."

"I dare you to go there ill-prepared and ready to be slaughtered by the hordes of dark things that reside there." He challenged Shadow.

Cenor blinked, rather surprised by Aretis's comment. "You won't survive there, Shade," he said, looking at him. "No one has, and since the darkness has grown strong, no one ever will. Not even the strongest dragon could enter the mist and come back without a scratch."

Firefly was quiet for a moment. She then stepped forward with a determined expression. "But someone has to do something. We can't just let this darkness keep spreading. We have to put a stop to it somehow. So many dragons' lives will be in danger if something isn't done soon. Maybe one dragon can't win alone, but maybe a group can. But we can't afford not to try. If no one stands up to the darkness, then we're all doomed anyway. But if we fight back, then maybe we at least have a chance. We just need to have a little hope."

"Well, they say where there is darkness, there is light. Every shadow is lined by light." Aretis was leafing through a book now and reading indiscriminately. "Darkness can't always be evil, as light can't always be good." Aretis said as he closed his book. "Darkness hides things whereas the light finds them." He put the book away and glided over to the exit of the library. "Well, I guess I'll get ready. I wished this day wouldn't come so soon. To face the horrors of outside these walls again." He sighed. "I hope we're all ready." And he left.

OOC: Spyroconvexity, I can't allow that post. Your character can't just 'sneak off' to Xabar. Firstly, it's on the other side of Siyalor, a long way from Ceeador, and secondly, that just messes up the whole storyline for this roleplay. You have to stick with the group.

"I may not be the best fighter, or even the bravest, but I'll do my best. I want to help. I won't allow this darkness to continue to hurt people." Firefly said with a determined gaze.

Then suddenly, Omen hopped in front of her and gave her a stern look. "No. Absolutely not. Firefly, you are not ready for something like this. You are not prepared. You're not a skilled fighter, and you can't control your powers. How do you expect to stop the darkness, let alone survive out there? You're not strong enough to face this darkness. You will stay here, where it is safe."

Firefly stared him down. "Omen, I'm not a hatchling anymore. You can't just tell me what I can and cannot do. We were out there in the world before, experiencing the darkness first hand. We saw those creatures, fought them off, and rescued a few innocents along the way. I saw the pain and suffering that this darkness is causing. I felt the fear of innocents. I can't just sit back and do nothing. In fact, I won't. If you want to stay here and hide, then you can. But I can't do that. I can't just feel someone else's pain and do nothing about it. I have to help."

"For first I've been out there once long ago. Second I've protected this city from danger long before you were hached. I've faced those creatures before and they were strong ones to but I've managed to beat them but not without a cost to myself."

I wouldn't be able to put up much of a fight. However, I know most of you here are powerful, much more powerful than the other younger dragons growing up here in Ceeador, and I believe in you all."

Aretis heard Shade's rant with his sensitive hearing. He was just about ready to storm back in there and give him a piece of his mind. But he didn't. Tch, creature. You're barely older than me. Watch it because I'd know if you'd been there. This is why I hate being around others. Everyone thinks they're a gummy drop, flame-and-glory hero just cause they beat the scales off a few unintelligent beasts. It's funny how deluded they all are. Stupid, dirtwater scum, weak-hearted rat.... He broke off, composing himself as he saw Starz. "Oh, hey Starz. Fly with me back to the home?" He said with a smile.

"He may be right about that but where there is light there is always a little darkness just waiting to make its move." Shade said. "But you're right nothing is pure evil. There is always some good in every heart no matter how evil they are." Shade said.

"Oh, uh...alright." Aretis said faintly. He waited for her. Aretis sighed. "What gets on my nerves more than being social is being around someone who's an overconfident jerk who can't see past his own muscles. Cocky brats like that deserve what they get. I won't risk my neck for them." He grumbled. "This....darkness, well I guess it comes with being a Levisra dragon, but...I don't know. It's almost like a sinking feeling. A little voice in the back of your mind that's telling me there's gonna be danger. Real danger. And not even Cenor truly knows what we're going up against." He looked distantly away.

"I have to agree that some creatures are annoying when they're overconfident and oh-so-powerful." Starz placed a paw on Aretis's shoulder. "And you're probably right about Cenor being not quite sure about what we're up against. I fear that it's going to be something which is like nothing we've ever faced before. But we have trained, haven't we? This is what our training has been leading up to. Some big adventure where we can use all the techniques and attacks we've learned in battle and defense."
Starz flew up and hovered right in front of Aretis, staring at him. "I don't want the darkness to take over Siyalor. I'm up for the challenge. I want to defeat the darkness mist. I'm scared, but I'm going to believe in myself, and believe in everyone else. We will be able to do this."

And for that reason alone would I fight to the end. But war doesn't leave only one side unharmed. I don't know if I'm ready.....if I can face the shadow of death again without killing myself."

"I'm aware of that. I barley got by strong creatures last time. The only reason I'm still alive is because of my light breath which gave me just enough to kill them." Shade said. "But I can only use it once a day for it severely drains my strength to the point that I can't use my main fire breath and even move."

It is foolish to send children out unprepared. I don't know what Cenor was thinking. This isn't your battle, nor is it mine. We will all likely fail, being as unprepared as we are." He muttered.

Starz was silent for a moment before she spoke again. "I won't let you die," she murmured slowly. "And I have no intention of dying myself. I will fight to the end, with you."

Omen sighed once more and closed his eyes. "The darkness does need to be fought, just not by youngsters and a gryphon. None of us are strong enough to defeat it. Skilled and experienced battlers should be going off to war. Not us. No. We're not ready. We're not prepared. We are not hardened warriors or noble heroes. This battle is someone else's responsibility, someone who could defeat the darkness. It isn't our fight." He said quietly. Then Omen opened his eyes and slowly started to walk off towards the house.

Firefly had arrived back at the house, and landed outside. She opened the door and headed on in. She went down the hallway to her bedroom. She had left a small satchel hanging on a wall hook, and had walked over to it. Firefly started to grab it, but then paused. She lowered her paw with a heavy sigh. "Maybe Omen's right. I'm no warrior. I'm not ready for something like this. What could I possibly do? Run away screaming and hope my powers randomly work?" She shook her head gently. "Who am I kidding...? I'm no hero.... I couldn't stop this darkness, let alone defend myself..." She muttered.

Starz blinked and flew down towards the house. She landed outside the doorway and slowly walked in. "Umm..." she broke off, not knowing what to say next.
