i see what bifrost is saying, actually. the original post said "unless it insults someone else" meaning fat shaming wouldn't be acceptable at all because it insults others.

This also did happen with politicians where they get called fat, insane/r-word or old or the one case where people take the time to misgender(so i guess trans people only exist as long as they're on your side? that's... missing the point, they can be bad people too)
there's a whole meme about the social media mirror where it doesn't affect the target but it hits people that follow you that saw you as a respectable person

This is unfortunately not the first time of this kinda interaction. I like being overexplanatory and even getting sources when it's easy to grab off page history, but there's subjects I'm just tired and know it's a waste of time.

I asked my prosecutor friend to explain it and basically he said Chris's case is going before a grand jury which is just to establish probable cause to upgrade the charges to a felony, it's only the prosecution which needs to appear before the jury, Chris won't need to be present.
