OOC: yes but Gray was "Cut from his connection" by the light sphere that was placed around him. So I went with attacking the sphere, but was then rebound as he had just gotten free.

OOC: You mean the sphere that Aretis and his group put there, after I posted?

OOC: yeah that one. Someone said it made him loose connection to anything outside it, so his grey thing would be unusable(he controlled it and held the elements together for it to be the snake thing it was).

OOC: That had nothing to do with what I was doing. The Goldenchildren followed Greys magic when he was retracting it, so they were pressing down against it to keep it there. It had nothing to do with what D-o said.

The mist of gold magic pulled back from the fight and to the ground. It reformed into the many dragons that came before Ria.

"We can't keep on like this child, we have to return to the sun soon, or else the worst will happen." Apollo said, reforming right in front of the newest spirit.

She glared up at her predecessor. "You can't be serious?!"

"I am." Apollo said firmly.

Ria lowered her head. "Fine, go. I'll be back soon."

With a nod, the spirits of the Goldenchildren faded, and Ria's spirit was left alone to gaze up at the battle.

OOC: see, I thought it was tightly around Gray himself. So the grey elemental object(snake like thing) is still there?

Aretis's muscles, horns and claws bulged and enlarged. Sweat creased his brow but now had evaporated quickly off. His eyes turned a hazel-ish color and the power of his aura grew immensely. His scales darkened to a pure 50-50 of black and white. His horns, claws, tail blade and spines flashed, and turned a lustrous silver color. Then his muscles relaxed again and resumed normal size. The pupils of his eyes were no longer black, but scarlet red that looked like it would burst into the irises of the eyes at any moment. "Spirits, you've done your work. Thank you, my friends."

OOC: well I guess you have your own idea of grey... Coo

Test a simple grey powered element combination... Oh yeah, you only have two, sorry. Try grey light, that should put a dent in his defense. Lucien suggested.

OOC2: so did his grey burst get rid of the light sphere around him?...

Ria's spirit frowned, starting to fade at Aretis' dismissal. "Good! Tell my mate that I'm DEAD would you? Since he doesn't seem to care." she growled, glaring fiercely at Grey. She snorted sharply, then disappeared from sight.

Aretis looked at Ria and sadly whispered to her. "I'm sorry....." Then she disappeared. Aretis took one claw to one side. Like a spiraling galaxy, energy began to gather around his paw, like a black hole sucking the energy into one concentrated point. He looked at Grey and then blinked. "Don't say I didn't warn you."

OOC: Grey(as in the energy/power and what it can do) kinda came to me on my own... So don't know what you are doing with Aretis...

After the dispersal of the light sphere, he managed to catch the elements he held before to regain the grey mass. "Warn me? Ha! I am the danger, it is you who has been warned." a small dist of grey light formed over his left paw, formed spikes that spun rapidly, and grew in diameter. His wings were, themselves, flaming with grey fire, and his tail seemed to stretch in length. The already deadly harpoon tip gleamed like steel and grew two more notches that also made the bladed surfaces wider longer. Sharp teeth exited his lips, and horns curled into spirals. Body mass increasing with the changes, "Enhancing abilities of the Golden Gods make this body an even better choice for use." the flaming pupils turned gold.

Deep within the inner shell of the egg lay cells of Drenyz who had made them neutral before injecting them into Ria's bloodstream during his possession of her, they were part of his design to improve or repair damage done to the egg....but they also had another role, to give regenerative abilities to the child soon to be hatched to ensure prophecy. When the egg hatches the cells will die completing their job

ooc: Oh well, just leave it to the subconscious I guess. :3

Aretis thrust the mass out but it didn't leave his paw. "Then let's see what you are without your fancy little tricks!" The black vortex enlarged tenfold, and seemed to be draining Grey's power at a rapid rate. Aretis felt his own magical power being drained as well, but the boost from turning Grey, he knew would be enough.

"Ooo, this is new. Keep using it and I can unlock its power for myself." he said as a warning, but was a little excited too. Gray could feel the energy leave his body, but didn't bother him too much, "My body, my power is like a nuclear reactor, I do not simply run out of energy." he swung his flaming left paw up, and then to the right. The grey mass took the motion as an order to strike from below and from the left. Gray himself charged Aretis, sending the razor thin grey-light disk out above them, but did not seem to come back.

Cale looked at the young dark colored boy who only watched the girls. He stepped over to the small dragon to touch his side with his paw. Skyer looked up at the electric dragon over him, almost knowing what Cale wanted just by seeing his facial expression, "I don't know. I never once thought something like this would happen... I don't have a speech prepared, and I don't have small flowers to give..." he seemed to dull off into a whimper, "I don't know what to do."

Aretis merely blinked and gathered more and more energy into the black hole. "Not even nuclear power escapes a black hole." Aretis responded. He folded his wings, descending quickly to avoid Grey, the black hole he placed on top of himself. If Grey wanted to play, he'd have to go through a super-condensed vortex of Grey energy to get to him.

OOC: Black holes only form from collapsing stars, and suck anything into its center of gravity. Meaning it would also pull in trees, water, ground, the clouds, and yes even light itself. A black hole seems a little farfetched for a light dragon... I have a character that his abilities over the universal elements such as black holes, big bangs, galaxies, dark matter, and antimatter. She is not Lucien though... Just saying the whole black hole thing you have there should not defy the laws of physics if you are going to use one bigger than Aretis, plus the amount of energy it would cost to sustain it/move it/change it... I've gotten really far into the "logical" thing so I point out the odd things, and find ways they would be practical impossible.

"A new found power the grey has given you(but I'll go with it). I have yet to show you what it gave me." he kept his path and curved downward to be under Aretis, "It is quite amazing too." he opened bid mouth and a small sphere of light formed in front of his teeth. It came out into his view, it was bright and small. It began to grow rapidly, growing ever larger than the trees below, "You have the power of destruction, and I have the power of creation.(as in he formed a star just as Aretis made a black hole) Witness the power of a newborn star's energy." it grew more, and started to move toward the black hole(black holes are the remains of a star, but has all of its gravity. Smaller in space, but just as big in pull). Using it as the counter, Gray shot down under the large mass of heat and light(not large enough to roast the whole planet, just a wide area).

Cale could see the light of the area had gotten brighter quickly, he was now worried about it. Static jumped from his back, bouncing around like active frogs in the moonlight. "What is going... on?" he turned to the source of the light, having to cover his eyes from the brightness of the star.

OOC2: we will end this soon, just setting it up... It doesn't require discussion.

OOC: This end is taking so long it reminds me of Dragon Ball Z Episodes and how long it takes for namek to blow up

ooc: Well, we're not meaning it literally. Figurative speech. After all, Lucien isn't really a nuclear reactor and Aretis isn't really creating a real black hole he's using his newfound grey power to absorb energy on a massive scale much like a rock absorbs heat or something black absorbs light. And yes Jackson, this has made many DBZ references in many different ways.

Aretis blinked slowly. "Done?" He stopped absorbing, and now had a very condensed massive amount of grey energy in his paw.

OOC: "Attack that can destroy a planet, takes three episodes to charge" or, "Attack that charges for two episodes just to miss."

Gray spiraled quickly up at Aretis, reaching his paw out to move the star toward him. The light sphere quickly turned grey and condensed into a narrow rod of light. Flattening to form a blade of some sort, it landed itself in Gray's paw just as he was swinging his arm to have it come at Aretis with great speed.

Aretis launched all that energy into a big blast that took the form of a snaking dragon shooting up towards Gray. The spirit realm was open again and spirits poured out behind the dragon like one big giant army attack. Aretis shot all of it full force at Gray.

OOC: hey he started it, *points to Gray*

Seeing his eminent death, Gray closed his eyes, "I finally get to feel pain again." he smiled as the attack reached him. The grey burned his spirit, and the other spirits battered his body to make him release Lucien's body from his grasp. Pulling him out of the body and eliminating all chances he had at returning. Gray's dark soul let out a large blast of grey energy, seeing a thick visible wave out in all directions. The grey matter spread over the skies, clearing the storms be had brought with his destruction. The star imploded on itself as it could not sustain itself in atmosphere.

When it all passed, Lucien's golden body dropped freely from the air. He quickly reached out to re attach himself to his true body. Taking a few seconds to regain his control, his wings spread near the crater created earlier. Gliding over the hole toward the edges, he opened his eyes slowly to see he had his own body back. There were no dark thoughts, no evil impression on his decisions, and not a bad voice to nag at him. Touching the grass with his paws, and looking up to the clearing sky with a slight smile, "You did it." a tear formed shortly after.

Suddenly striking him like a meteor, "Ria!" his eyes flashed gold as he searched for her, finding nothing. He could point out Skyer, Casia, Starz, and the electric dragon. He stopped looking when his vision cleared more to view the local ghosts or spirits, finding her sitting alone in the area.

Aretis coughed, then retched, vomiting his insides when he landed. He released his grey power, but as he was releasing it, it shot back at him, attacking viciously at Aretis. Aretis had naught the strength to fight it, but could only groan as it's magic destroyed itself and him with it. He resorted to a last resort, severing his connection to elemental powers and then trying to restart it.

Lucien's senses pulled hard on him to help Aretis, but he knew Ria did not die happy. He tried to take a step toward Ria, but it was a rough step. He turned to see the grey energies attacking Aretis, "You have to accept it. You can't just get rid of grey magic once it's made, it has to leak over time. Take it back in before you do something stupid or kill yourself." he looked back over to Ria, lightening his steps, he approached her ghostly form, "Ria... I know you can hear me, but my eyes do not allow me to hear the afterlife." he eyed the grass around her, and on the other side of her as her ghostly glow was dim.

"I won't let it! I made a promise....." He growled, trying to force it out again.

ooc: wait, who left?

ooc: we're supposed to finish it without her.

OOC: I'm sorry if I've upset or angred you guys by leaving, I understand if you guys are...
I've just made too many mistakes...

ooc: Correction: Mistakes that I haven't noticed, and frankly don't even care about.

Ooc: Not to give you guys a whiplash or anything, but now I'm thinking about coming back...

Aretis bit his lip, his body convulsing. Then it stopped and he laid there motionless.

Ria's spirit slowly turned her head, gazing sadly over her shoulder at Lucien. She gave a small flick of her tail and turned to face away once more. She'd been gazing down at her fallen mortal body and her friends around it.

"I'm supposed to be at the Sun right now..." she murmured. Her form was fading back and forth between brighter and dimmer with each few seconds.

Casia stared silently down at her sisters face, at her mangled body. Tears welled up in her eyes, and she bit her tongue to keep from crying out again.

"....Thank you Ria....we'll miss you." Aretis mentally spoke to Ria's spirit. "If you ever want to visit, Levismos Isle currently has enough energy to support spirit forms in this world. I'll leave it open to you to decide. It gets....lonely there." He offered.

Aretis looked up at Starz. "It's over...." He murmured.

"...yeah..." Aretis murmured.

Lucien sat turning his eyes to the ground, "A few days gone away, we never thought you'd stay. I thought that you'd come back to us all. Somehow the times we spent together never mattered after all. If you only knew how much I cared about you, you'd never run away. It doesn't matter now, that you thought somehow, you'd have to leave... If you only knew how much need you..." he stated with his more soft and songly voice, as a tear slid down the golden scales of his about to drip off into the grass bellow.(brownie points go to who can name the song and artist(jk(but still good song)))...(man I still don't think I pulled enough lyrics though, might have a better one come to mind later)

Something flickered, and it was immediately covered up with hastily done light magic. However, there was still a little distortion around his left cheek and his right shoulder. "Yeah, I'm fine." He said, standing up.

Ria's spirit silently thanked Aretis. She then gazed at Lucien sadly. Her eyes narrowed in concentration, and Luciens tear slowly and clumsily broke away from his face and floated in front of his face.

The spirit bit her lip, as clear fatigue showed on her face. The little tear droplet began to quiver, and took the shape of a tiny heart. Ria's ghostly claws dug into the ground, and the little heart crystallized into a permanent, unbreakable symbol of her affection for Lucien.

The small crystal heart dropped slowly to the grass before Luciens paws, and Ria's spirit offered him a weak, apologetic smile.

Lucien's eyes opened slowly from the lifting of his tear("liquid pride"). The small crystallized, heart-shaped tear was resting on the blade of a wide piece of grass. His vision zoomed and focused to recognize the shape, "I have no final gift for you... Only the words I can speak, but they are not enough..." he touched the crystal shape to further recognize its properties, and lifting it away from the grass with his abilities over ice and earth(leveraging). Raising it higher to hold in front of him, "..."

Cale took notice of Lucien standing alone. Walking over to the gold dragon slowly, and sat next to him. Skyer watched Cale leave him and Casia, but only lay down by Ria's body, "If you do t mind," he turned to the girl, "I'm going to stay here till mid day, unless we find a proper burial for her...?"

Casia continued to stare at Ria's body. "I think she deserves the proper burial of our fiery heritage. Born from ashes, rejoin the ashes." she said softly. With a soft breath, she set fire to Ria's remains. The red dragoness then bowed her head in respect and sadness.

"Your words are enough for me..." Ria said softly. Once more she concentrated, and her voice echoed softly in Luciens head.

Keep this crystal heart close to you. For every time you shed a tear of sadness, the heart will grow. Remember that it symbolizes my undying love for you, and the love of our friends.

Aretis silently nodded at Ria and then sat on his haunches and stood still as the burial ceremony progressed, even if it was a brief one. A single tear dripped from his eyes, yet...he smiled warmly.
