"The apprentices are everywhere." Serge groans.

The girl laughs.
"We were apprentices too, Serge. Have you forgotten?" She says.

Serge smiles.
"Not yet, Kaleena. Not yet."

"I'll talk to you soon Drake, I'll go find Serge" Jay said as she went to find Serge.

Drake nods.

Xander points out to Jay where Serge stands with Kaleena.

Kaleena calmly tells the apprentices to get into a line. Serge herds them into a line and looks them over.

Jay walks yo where Kaleena and Serge are "Drake said to help y'all out with the apprentices" Jay said with a small nod.

Kaleena looks at Jay and smiles, pushing her dark brown hair over her shoulders with a gentle sweep.
"Nice to meet you. Thanks for helping out. I'm Kaleena, Serge's girlfriend."

Serge looks over at Jay and Kaleena. He blushes when Kaleena says girlfriend, and quickly looks away.

Xander grins.
"Hard to see some tough guy like Serge with a girl." He teases, and Kaleena laughs.

"It's nothin', Anything to help Drake. He's an old... friend... you could say. So, how can I help y'all?" Jay asked happilty.

"Getting the apprentices in line would be nice." Serge calls.

"You might want to cover your ears or somethin'!" Jay calls out as she lets out a high pitched whistle to call the apprentices to attention.

The apprentices jump in surprise and get into line.

"And stay that way would ya?" Jay commanded as she turned to Serge. "Done."

Serge nods.
"Thanks. Half of these guys don't know volcano jumping. It's a great battle strategy, so would you and Kaleena handle that?" He says.

Kaleena smiles.
"We'll do great, Serge."

"Sure thing" Jay said with a polite nod.

Kaleena smiles.
"Come on, let's go." She says.

Jay nods as she follows Kaleena

Half of the apprentices follow. Kaleena reaches a volcano.

"Alright. We'll keep this simple. Would you demonstrate, Jay?" Kaleena asks.

Jay nods. "Sure thing" She said as she morphed to her wolf form. She got into a prowl-like position, and quickly took off. She leaped just as she reached the volcano, and landed safely on the other side. She padded back to where everyone was.

Kaleena nods.
"There ya go. Now try it yourselves, and Jay and I will make sure you don't fall."

"We won't fall, cousin!" Squeaks a small grey wolf with wide eyes. She's obviously the runt of the litter for she's very small.

Jay morphs to human form and stretches. "I'm sure y'all will do great" SHe says with a polite smile

The apprentices nod and walk to the volcano.

Kaleena turns to Jay.
"Can you watch my cousin, Alyssa, for me, Jay?" She asks, her voice tinged with worry.

"Of course" Jay said "Is she the small one?" Jay asks

"Yes, it's why I worry about her." Kaleena says.

Alyssa looks at Kaleena with wide green eyes.
"Jay will keep track of me, cousin! Don't worry!" She says.

"I'll watch 'er. Don't worry" Jay said happily.

Kaleena nods.
"Alright."

Alyssa bounces off.

Jay watches Alyssa as she walks to the volcano. "Alright" Jay begins "Y'all are a little close to the volcano, you may want to back up. You want to begin by gaining speed, and jumping right as you reach the volcano. It's quite easy once you get the hang of it. Any questions?"

OOC: Lol

Alyssa and the other shake their heads.

"I'll go first!" Says a muscular black furred wolf pup. He clears the volcano easily.

Jay claps. "Great job. Who's next?" Jay asks cheerfully.

Alyssa shivers, but takes a deep breath.
"M-me."

Jay nods with a smile "Okay, I'll catch you if you fall." Jay says, morphing to wolf form just in case.

Alyssa nods. She takes a running jump, and scrambles at the edge of the other side.

"Sis!" Says the black furred pup, wide-eyed. He dashes forward and grabs Alyssa's scruff before she falls, pulling her up.

Jay darts towards where Alyssa and the black pup are. "Is everyone alright?" Jay asks, worried

Alyssa is shivering in fear.

The black pup looked at Jay.
"Pleas calm her down." He says.

Jay nods as she pads to Alyssa. Jay places her muzzle gently on Alyssa. "It's okay dear. You're safe, and alive" Jay said in a pacified tone

Alyssa looked at Jay and leaned against Jay's front leg, curling up against it, her head buried in Jay's fur.
"S-so scary." She cried.

"Don't worry. When I first tried I had a rough landing. It takes practice. Sure, the volcano may be scary, but once you get used to it, it's like a playground." Jay said with a gentle tone.

Alyssa looked up at Jay and nodded.

"Thank you for calming my sister down. I'm Mako." Says the black furred pup.

OOC: *looks to you avatar, then to post, then to signature* ... I'm sensing a relation to TLoK...

"Nice to meet you, I'm Jay" Jay says with a small nod.

OOC: I've been watching the season finale...

Mako smiles.

Alyssa blinks and looks toward the other apprentices, who were laughing at her. Her ears lowered.

"Ignore them, sis." Mako says.

OOC:

"One moment. I'll go talk some sense into them..." Jay grumbled as she padded to the other apprentices. She had an angry look upon her as she raised her voice "Alright! You idiots are no better than her. Stop your laughing or I swear you'll regret it. You're here to learn, not be foolish and haughty. Now, shut up and wait patiently!" Jay scolded the apprentices.

OOC: Well, Jay's a little pissed ain't she

OOC: indeed she is

The apprentices were ignoring Jay.

"At least we can LEAP the volcano." One barks.

Mako grits his teeth and pads up beside Jay.
"Shut up! I saw you loose your footing before you jumped!" He barked.

"You want to fight?!" The apprentice barked.

"I'll burn your pelt off!" Mako snarled, eyes flaring.

Jay howled, so that Xander could hear. "None of you are ready to actually fight. I'll tell you that right now. If you don't know how to listen I suggest you learn." Jay said to the other apprentices.

Xander heard Jay and ran as fast as he could.
"Jay! What's wrong?!" He asks worriedly.

The volcano seems to bubble and boil as Mako gets angrier.

"Well, one, the other apprentices are picking on Alyssa and have no idea how to listen" Jay shot a glare towards the apprentices as she said this "And the volcano is boiling, which is unusual, and Mako seems to have something to do with it. It's organized chaos over here" Jay spoke

Xander's eyes widen.
"The volcano is boiling?!" He says. He runs to Mako. "Mako! Calm down! Are you trying to get everyone killed?!"

Mako sees Xander and takes a breath. The volcano seems to calm down.

Jay sighs in relief. "Well, that's one problem settled" Jay said with a small nod.

Mako frowns.
"I didn't believe it would actually start spitting lava." He mumbles.

Xander sighs with relief.

Jay pads back over to Alyssa and gently nudges her.

Mako trots to Alyssa and Jay.

Alyssa lays her muzzle against Jay.

"Everything will be fine" Jay assures

Alyssa smiles.
"I believe you."

Mako smiles.

Jay gently nudges Alyssa to get up.
