Also, maybe it's just the lighting of the new locations, but it seems like the models are a bit more vibrantly colored. Despite the budget issues the show has, the animation never looks too cheap.

Activison aren't even promoting academy right

They haven't even promoted the trailer on Instagram....if it was up to me I'll put the trailer before YouTube videos , TV , Billboard signs and much more !!
They have to promote the heck out of this show !!! It costed them a lot so I don't get why are they being lazy with the promo uggghh....we all know the potential that this franchise has and they do too.

At this point, they aren't going to listen. I'd just ride the tiny little hype wave to keep stress at minimum, though I'm not one to talk.

Listening to the trailer again, I noticed they made a really cool instrumental action version of Harmony. I'm in the minority when I say I like this song(but more as an outro), but it'd definately be improved if they used this instead for the intro!

Although the lyrics of Harmony sounds more it fits to Kingdom Hearts then for Skylanders.

And I thought people like the song.

It's super jarring as an intro. Almost, embarrassing even.

It's pretty cheesy and a horrible first impression, but not a bad song by itself. This new version though is SO better to introduce a show with some action; I'd definately get it from the trailer but I don't think my PC and Audacity would work well.

What you want something like Fist Bump like song for a Skylanders Academy OP? Also it's not the worst intro ever.

The SC theme(s) are great, but not Openings. Too long a buildup for something that's ~30 seconds and wouldn't fit a lot of editing without clashing with the song.

Harmony is not bad by itself, it's a fine song for me, but not my kind of song either. I dunno, I would like something along the lines of what the main series offered. I'm just a sucker for epic orchestral pieces.

^ Agreed! Like I've said hundreds of times, it's really jarring to go from a surprisingly soft-spoken show to this loud and obnoxious pop song with ultra flashy (but pretty generic) visuals. Trust me, I showed my friends an episode of the show once. The theme song made us all cringe...

They finished recording voices and Netflix is paying everything original, so it's not that much of an issue. Unless the franchises makes a comeback tho, that fan asking for a Season 4 poll will be waiting for nothing.

Also, about that screening, probably kids only. They don't have an audience over the age of 12. We're just illusions.

I hope that season 2 and 3 end up getting good ratings and many viewers so we can get plushies and a fourth season , but mostly plush toys
