Well a roleplay forum I’m in became an original universe Discord group so it can be done. A suggestion could be going in a more Equestria Daily style focusing on fanworks so we can curate what remain of the community and encourage the fans to keep the flames ignited. Regardless of what side you are on, classic, legend, hey even Skylanders or newcomers from Reignited or simply dragons lovers, we need you because we can no longer depend on a new Spyro game anymore.

I’m already a dying breed even in the Spyro fandom as I was 9-10 or so when A New Beginning released, so a bit of an outcast with the make Cynder purple even if she is the black dragon trend/blue eyes when it’s clearly visible in TEN that it’s emerald on top of that Legend fans are migrating to Wings of Fire lately in masses so that part is alarmingly decreasing meaning less focus on storytelling, lore, worldbuilding and more isekai, shipping as the community remaining came with DOTD.

Forums in general are a dying breed. Social media has all but replaced them.

Overpower, ok why do we still have to justify when we hate it and don’t want it in our stories or even roleplays? Also, even if I do love making villains(my Tenebra). Is it normal that I’m now weirded out by characters that are just pure evil with nothing else. Saying that because I’m arguing in a roleplay group about a yet to be validated character whose main goal is to link everyone to him so the only way is to slay the entire dragon race.

Tbh I think you're valid to feel that. It can be quite weird to see someone just act so maliciously for no real reason. Though there is fun in a character that acts as the villain all/fair chunk of the time.

I take it someone sprung this character out without really any talk with all of which involved huh? That is an issue.

I sure as heck do love pure evil characters like the Joker, Bill Cipher, Aku or Disney villains in the 90s, but what make them compelling is that they are fun to watch, have a great design, are snarky like Kefka in FFVI or just utterly disgusting and weirdly realistic so you want him dead like Frollo. However, the more I grow older, the more I get aware of morality not being just black and white but having nuances of grey especially with the books and shows I watch increasingly being more adult oriented and thus having characters that are more complex than with youth material.

I got an explanation, it was to have a legitimate threat to slay because the current one was not particularly active, but it felt extreme, however I got reassured that it was not the final version.

I admit that to compensate and make it less one dimensional, I gave to my shadow dragoness the flaw that she genuinely love her daughter and won’t physically harm her even if she do want her to follow her steps, but I would adore knowing what can be done to develop further and not just have a character slain or put in jail as I admit, even I find it no longer as fun as before.

i know you do fyra and you actually post meaningful thinks unlike my fellow trolls and i who just spam the forum lol and speaking of ds not working on phones YO DARK when i log onto dS on my iphone it shows me night mode when i am selected on light theme so i have to turn it TO night mode to see light theme but when i go back to the PC it displays it correctly as night mode and then i have to switch it back to light mode but that resets it on my iphone like whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat also PLEASE PRETTY PLEASE WILL YOU ACTIVATE AT LEAST 1 OF DANNY S ATTEMPTED ACCOUNTS YOU DID IT FOR MY SISTER ERIKA AND ME LIKE 14 TIMES
