favorite DC hero: Nightwing, I love dick. He's just a character who is easy to relate to. When you're growing up, maturing, finding out who you are, etc. He's just the best
favorite marvel hero: Hawkeye. I always loved archers and Hawkeye is such a fun character. I love Matt fractions version where he is the everyone. His stories are always a fun read.

Favorite DC villain: this is a tough one. Joker is an obvious choice but fun obscure guys like kite man are just fun dorks. Reverse flash is also a perfect villain along with joker.

Favorite Marvel villain: Dr doom and magneto are the perfect villains plain and simple.

Least favorite DC hero: cyborg. He's boring and all of his stories are "am I machine or man???????".
Least favorite marvel hero: is it a cop out today those random characters who target another audience? Characters like iron heart are just boring and don't matter after their series fail.

Least favorite DC villain: cheetah. She's just a furry.

another day, another cycle of the same routine. it's comforting, but i have to be careful that i don't get stuck.

i dont get the arguments about rey magically learning how to do stuff in the star wars movies after episode 7. like her knowing how to paddle a boat after growing up in a sand planet. she could have just gone paddling during the timespan of 2 movies.

the problem with people talking about how comic book characters should act or feel is that everybody has a different ideology of these characters. usually, people will bring up the animated incarnations of the character when comparing them to the new versions because of their nostalgia. comic book characters are written by thousands of writers all with different writing styles and readers have different interpretations of what those writings mean. so naturally, people will argue that their perceptions of a character are more canon than other people's interpretations.

im genuinely really curious about the state of entertainment in the future. movies, shows, games, books, they all seem so fixated on superheroes and as a superhero fan? im kind of loving it!
but at the same time, i know that cant last. i know all this superhero stuff is a big bubble ready to pop, especially since we already have extremely popular media like Umbrella Academy and The Boys subverting the tropes. given that westerns fell off the map post-WWII, i wonder if superhero media will be the same way. will old people in 50 years be wearing superman shirts and have the same fondness for Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evans as most old people today do with John Wayne and Clint Eastwood? will i see trade paperbacks of classic comic book runs on grocery store shelves where all the cowboy romance novels are?

people have been talking about the "superhero bubble" popping since 2013. endgame was the highest grossing movie of all time, and that happened just last year. i doubt superhero movies are going to die out anytime soon, there just going to keep going like the disney remakes or sequel-reboot franchises (jurassic world, star wars, terminator, ghostbusters). itd take a massive shift in consumer taste or general movie/tv show quality to change that.
