Sybil realized that the sun was almost gone, d left her tree's cleaning for later. She talked to a nearby warbler.
"Hey! Any signs of Brody?" she asked, needing to know the bat's whereabouts.
"Not yet miss. It's incredible that so much time he has been living here, and nobody know where he stays." the warbler replied, getting tired of searching.

"Oh, that's cool, I guess." Olaf said, trying to expand the tiny den he had found.

While Nia was taking a close look at this new face, Angus found his chance to talk.
"Hey mister, how did you get here anyway without an orca? There is a drought here. The Haven was s off limits on these last months." the shy cockatoo said, wanting to know more.

Sozen was with Shi. He noticed that she was down. "Hey Shi. I know it's hard without him. I miss him too but Guardian is in a better place now."

Shi sighed sadly "I know. I just can't believe he's really gone. I mean not long after I first came here the old man basically came back from the dead. it's hard knowing that as tough as he was he's gone for good this time." she couldn't help but to cry. even though the old snake's gone though his spirit lives on so long as the Haven continues to live on.

Yodel was nearby, finding entertaining Shi's pathetic woe. She would have teased her too if her boyfriend wasn't a humongous freak who could create static electricity and was short in temper. He left that place and proceeded to help Sybil, having heard from the other warblers that she was looking for Brody. Always minding everybody's business but his own, Yodel was the only warbler who knew where the bat lived, and landed at the entrance of his cave.
"Hey bats! I'm looking for the one named Brody! The civet Sybil wants to talk to him!" he screamed from the entrance of the cave, knowing that the echo was going to travel around the bunch.

While things at the Haven were having their up and downs, the orcas back in the Antarctica were already use to their life there. Good food, lots of space and a variety of activities they could engage, such as playing with the icebergs and exploring caves that looked like crystals. They were even the envy of the rest of the orca pods due to their incredible success at catching prey so fast. Even though it was a splendid life, some of them were starting to grow desperate to return to their former life at the Haven. They awaited patiently for the messenger seagull to return with good news, since they have been gone for too long.

"I washed up on shore while clinging onto a log," Olaf said, trying his best to dig through the dirt.

"Oh, well that explains it." Angus replied, sure there wasn't any other way to arrive at the Haven. Nia then saw him struggling with the hole, and really wished she could help.
"Oh sir, doing a home? Too bad Whirlpool can't arrive here. He is a master digger." she said, admiring the wombat a lot. But Angus was more analytical.
"Sir, a tunnel here? What if the tide gets too high?" he said, knowing that place would drown in no time if the sea got too inland.

"Thank you for your concern, but I will be fine." Olaf said.

OOC: Hey, don't forget to reply post #2004. Was you bat named Brody? Cause there was another user who also used a bat. I'm not sure if I'm confusing characters.

"Alright sir. If you say so." Nia said a bit concerned, when Angus rushed her to leave. It was getting dark, and they weren't allowed to be at the Haven after dark due to Rose.
"Well, see ya." she said, flying away with her cousin and leaving Olaf to work in peace.

Shi sighed "you're right but still, it isn't the same."

Sybil, who believed she was wasting her time just sitting there waiting for the warbler to report the bat's whereabouts, headed to Sayan's home with caution. She then looked at Sayan and Rose in a moment of silence and assumed they were simply keeping each other company.
"Good evening. I hope I'm not interrupting anything." she said, not wanting to be alone.

ooc: last I checked Shi and Sozen were back at their cave on the mountine. but do correct me if I'm wrong SC.

OOC: Yes, I understand now. Spyroconvexity is using Sozen. I confused the character's comment with Rose. I just edited it

It was a serene night, but it was getting colder. Yodel refused to stay near the cave for long, so he really hoped he was answered soon.

"Don't worry. I'm at a considerable distance." Sybil replied, haing already studied the length of her restrains.

ooc: shi also said something.

OOC: What do you mean by that message ShadetheDragon?

"I know Rose. I know." Sybil assured, knowing Rose never meant any real harm.
"Well, give my regards to Sayan. I need to do something." Sybil said as she left right to where she came from. It was already dark and she was hoping to find a bat that could lead her to the yellow tails. She knew Crocux wouldn't hurt her if she didn't bring him the fish like she promised, but she was still determined to find them anyway.

Shi sighed sadly "I know."

The night was a pleasant one, more so than any other of the previous nights. Sybil searched for the bat friend on different places, but she didn't see anyone. It was just amazing how bats were night creatures and so numerous, yet it was hard to encounter one. After several hours, Sybil gave up the search, and just decided that if he was nearby, he would find her instead. She was quite far away from her tree, so she simply picked a random one with a family of warblers on one of the branches and took a little nap there, hoping she would hear bats flying later on.

Due to the months of isolation they had lived in, the family unit of snakes (and a velvet worm) had returned to their nocturnal lifestyle. Therefore, Voracivenom wasn't the least bit tired as he traversed through the rocky region and returned to the forest. It had been a long night, but he had finally reached the familiar area in which most of the Haven residents resided. He was eager to reintroduce himself after his long absence. Luckily for him, he had picked up on Sybil's scent. It was fresh, and she seemed nearby.
Flicking his tongue, he followed his nose and found the civet in question up in a tree branch, dozing away. Deciding to let her sleep in peace, Voraci took this time to refuel from the journey. In the past months, insect life wasn't quite as scarce near the Outback as it might have been in the forest, but having to keep five baby serpents well-fed and growing made him considerably thinner than normal. However, the drought was at the end of its rope, and health was returning to the ecosystem. It wouldn't be too hard to find a centipede now.

Just minutes after Voracivenom had left, Sybil woke up. She heard what she believed was a snake flicking her tongue, and thought she had dreamt about Guardian. She hasn't seen Voracivenom or Skaliscin in a long time, and didn't even know they had offsprings.

Trying not to have much on her mind, Sybil headed to the wetland, having little snacks along the way to skip breakfast in the morning. She knew she would have a much better view of the sky from the wetland, and hoped she could catch a glimpse of the bat there. If not, she hoped she could at least encounter a yellow tail somewhere on the lake, since she suspected the fish came somewhere from there.

ooc: okay while Shi waits on Sozen's response I'll just time skip breafly. (felines gave me that ok)

the end of the day when everyone fell asleep the night would be eventful for everyone's favorite civit. as she slept she dreamed, it starts with her in a wide open plain untouched by man as far as the eye could see. their was a large old oak tree near by. a human was lying down resting in the shade of the tree, he was long and lanky. he had a familier presence about him. he raised a hand beckoning Sybil over to his side.

OOC: Well, it's been a while. I should have to contact Spyroconvexity and the others to see why they suddenly stopped posting.

Sybil distrusted humans, so she didn't approached this man, but something seemed strangely familiar to her. Then, she knew who he was, but even in her dream, she couldn't believe it. How could it be?

Before she had the chance to approach him, Sybil woke up very abruptly, with the rays of the rising sun hitting her right in her still closed eyes. She was still baffled about the dream, but then she remembered that she was unable to keep her promise to Crocux. Morning was up and she didn't get him a yellow tail, so wanting to ease up her guilt, she went to visit him.
"Crocux? Crocux! Are you here?" she called, believing he was awake since she wasn't hearing his usual thunderous snore.

Olaf was almost completely done. The room was a very good size for him, he had lots of room to sleep in.

Crocux came out "hey Sybil. wonderful timing. I was going to go get a little welcome party ready for Syris. he's been here a while but he hasn't gotten a proper welcome since he showed up during the drought and all. I thought it would be a good chance for him to meet the rest of the family and since the droughts ending it seems to be a good of time as any."

OOC: Sorry about not posting. Is it day or night currently?

OOC: It's currently morning. Sorry if it felt like pressure. This story is sometimes so active, I always feel like something is wrong if everybody stops posting all of the sudden.

"Oh, that's perfect." Sybil replied, having grown a much more stable relationship with Syris ever since he returned from his banishment.
"Oh man, it would have been perfect if I... sorry Crocux. I searched most of the night, but I couldn't find that darn bat. I couldn't bring you the ye... I mean, the you-know-what." she then said, getting use to not saying the fish's name in his presence.

Crocux says "it's okay Sybil and you can say yellowtail around me, I don't mind. now Saris is going to bring his brother along to the beach later. that gives us plenty of time to get Syris's welcome party ready. we should get going before Jack starts planning to prank us for making him wait." Crocux shudders "I do not want to relive the last stink bomb incident."

Sybil wasn't sure what stink bomb Crocux was talking about, since she believed they were many, but didn't want to ask anyway.
"Alright now. In that case let's get ready. I will invite Rose and Sayan over, and I'll bring a few fish anyway." she said kindly, getting ready to leave his home. She one way or another wanted to contribute.
"Man, it's a shame you are all carnivores, well, except for Jack I suppose. I could have brought a few fruits and berries as well for all of you." she complained, actually hating that she couldn't be of more service. It wasn't easy for her to be a tiny omnivore among many humongous animals that were only limited to fish and meat in their diet.

Crocux said "that's not true, Shi and Sozen are coming too."

"Well then, I'll bring whatever I can anyway. I may be tiny, but I'm not useless." Sybil said, her famous stubbornness kicking in again. She knew how appreciated she was in the Haven, but she still felt like almost everybody was seeing her as just a little creature who constantly needed help, which is why ever since the drought hit, she had been seen even more hardworking than before.

Crocux smiled "okay, just don't over exert yourself aunty."

Sybil was still not used to that name, but she simply left Crocux home without a comment or care in the world. On her way to the lake, she asked a passing warbler to get Mambo. She wasn't sure about the other keas, but Mambo will certainly like the idea of a party. She went to Sayan's den to tell him and Rose the news before she would head to the lake to fish.
"Hey Sayan. Rose. Crocux is throwing a party soon. You two should come." she said happily, ready to head to the lake.

OOC: Sorry, I haven't been posting, I'm and have been very down emotionally. I'll try to post as soon as I can.

ooc: it's okay Wyrstel, just remember if you need someone to talk to I'll be happy to lend an ear or two.

Crocux headed to the beach to get to work. as for Sozen and Shi, the privies day a cockatoo came along sent by Crocux to let them know about the party. it's the day of the party now but Shi wasn't sure about going.

After several hours, Sybil managed to catch half a dozen of fish, something she hasn't been able to do in a long time. She was ecstatic, not only because she was helping, but because that was sure indication that the drought was finally coming to an end. She found it strange though how there hasn't been any seagulls or pelicans at the Haven to keep in touch, unaware that the inspection what's already been made, and that they will have the incredibly playful orcas capturing them sooner or later.

Mambo showed up in Crocux's home, with a surprise guest; Cheryl. The other keas stayed behind due to a situation they were having, but their leader would never pass a chance to have fun, and he kinda forced Cheryl to accompany him, hoping that the party would erase some of the bitterness she usually has. While Cheryl was left at the crocodile's place, he headed to the beach to talk to the big boy himself.
"Hey toothy! What's up?" he said in his usually cheerful mood, though his tone wasn't the same as before. That was the first time any of the Haven have seen a kea. Something was definitely happening with the flock...

While the party was being organized at the Haven, several miles away from the island, flying was the young seagull that arrived at the Haven just yesterday. Being young and full of vitality, not to mention that he flew away nonstop towards the Antarctica, he was already halfway towards his destination. He was just desperate to look the happy faces of the huge marine animals once they found out that the Haven's drought was finally ending.

Shi nodded "okay" and smiled a little. it was hard for her to stay sad with Sozen around.

Crocux smiled "hey Mambo, it's been a while. I'm just getting Syris's welcome party ready." *bonk* a coconut hit Crocux in the head "owe! Jack!" the chimp gave an innocent look and continued the preperations. Crocux glared at the chimp for a minute then looked at Mambo "so what are you up to these days?"

"Oh, we are just solving a few issues we have at the big tree, but everything is going well nonetheless." Mambo said, not wanting to involve any Haven resident in the flock's problems, though wondered if he should involve Crocux since it really concerned him.
"So then, where do we start? I'll have Cheryl help at your home and I will help here outside." Mambo then said, now sounding like himself.

Crocux smiled "well my home is just fine so nothing to do their. hmmm, oh, we could use some frutes, lizards and fish. Jack's in charge of decorating the beach, Sybil says she's going to bring some fish and I'll head out to see about getting some more. so can I trust you to handle the rest?"

Mambo was happy to be of help, so he got ready to work.
"Well, since you and miss Sybil are going to get the fish, then I will take care of the lizards and berries. Perhaps miss Sybil wouldn't mind if I took a few from her brushes." Mambo said with a smile, flying away to the forest. He was going to begin with the lizards since they were the hardest to get, but even though keas weren't exactly built to hunt these quick little animals, watching Terrence a couple of times doing it made him practice, and he was getting good at it. Cheryl remained at Crocus home to clean it up a bit, since she didn't want anyone to tell her brother she didn't pull her own weight.

As Mambo left, Sybil came with an improvised wagon carrying the six fish.
"Here we are Crocux. I know they don't seem like many, but fishing in the lake is quite hard, not to mention that the drought is not quite over yet." she explained, wishing she could have brought more.
"And sorry for smelling a bit like fish. I had trouble with this one. They can slap quite hard." Sybil then said, pointing to the biggest fish, which was a catfish almost the size of Sybil herself.

Crocux chuckled "hey well you sure smell tasty. you did wonderfully aunty." then another coconut hit Crocux in the head "owe! JACK!" and the chimp just continued to work giving off an innocent look.

Sybil was glad that Rose and Sayan made it. It was almost noon and the drought was over, so Sybil trusted that very soon, there would be no need to tie Rose up. Her attention then went to Jack, who seemed to be having too much fun, but instead of scolding him, she grinned, almost as if encouraging him to keep it up. She then turned to Crocux.
"Well, thanks. It's not much fish, but it's plenty. You take care of the rest while I search for some berries, and maybe some lizards." she said kindly, unaware that Mambo was already at it.
"I should probably take a bath too. It wouldn't be nice if you confuse me with the dinner." she the said very playfully in response to his first comment, demonstrating with her joke that, without a shadow of a doubt, her fear of Crocux was one hundred percent over.
