Olaf had wandered off again without Sybil noticing. He was at the beach just watching the waters, thinking about how long he would be here.

The waters were calm and quiet, and Sybil had forgotten to mention about the orcas that lived there. There would be time for that though, cause in the meantime, Olaf had the rest of the drought before the humongous marine animals return for a lifetime of games.

James says "Ravage Sybil isn't death. don't worry she wont hurt you. I'll be right their with you the whole time. okay?" Ravage reluctantly says "okay" and James lead him over holding his one arm and leading him by it. once they were over their they began to help out. Ravage slowly moved away as if he was trying to run. James noticed and said "Ravage! for the last time Sybil isn't death! quit being so irrational and get over here!" Ravage listened wanting to keep his friend happy.

Sybil heard nothing except for the last sentence, and was more than confused. Peepers heard nothing, being too concentrated on leaving the place since the wolverine was nearby.
"Speak of the devil..." he whispered, preparing to fly off.
"So sorry miss Sybil. This is where I leave. Please be careful." he said, flying off to continue with the restoration as far away from Ravage as possible.

Although Sybil wasn't as afraid of Ravage as before, his presence was still a bit unwelcome.
"What are you two doing?" she said as she approached the two, not seeing like the type to help out.

James says "Ravage thinks you're death and is being very irrational. he's scared out of his witz so I thought having him help out would do him some good."

"Death!? You mean as if personification?" Sybil exclaimed, now convinced that Ravage's little head was not well at all.
"Please. Don't be ridiculous! Look at me! I couldn't bring death to anybody if I wanted to!" Sybil expressed, knowing that even though she was an omnivore, all she could kill were small fish and lizards, so Ravages's fear was exaggerated.

"I believe so-- but remember what Sybil said. I think we need to step back and let her handle this.," Sayan quietly said not wanting to antanitise Ravage. He paused, but watched carefully for any sign of conflict.

James nodded "I know yet he thinks your death or something." Ravage says "s-syb-il w-wanted t-to kill me. S-Sayan had to pro-tect m-me f-fro-om her."

Sybil just shook her head, now believing that Ravage was the one confused.
"I think you mean what happened at the hole. You got it all wrong. I didn't try to kill. I was just scolding you, which is very different." she claimed, believing he was referring to that time. After all, that was the only interaction Ravage had with Sayan in her presence.

Ooc: just came back from super trip that took up all day, my mom is goin on a trip for 2 weeks :v

Olaf got up and looked for a place to call home. He thought maybe a den but those don't have much space. He also thought of maybe living like Sybil in a tree.

Terrence was near by looking for some food when Olaf was looking around.

Ravage was still all bandaged up so you couldn't see his expression but it was one that said he found it hard to believe. Ravage says "y-you wanted m-me d-dead back when orca h-had me I-in his m-mou-th."

Sybil couldn't believe Ravage remembered that particular event, especially since he was supposedly unconscious when it happened. She didn't want to tell him why she wanted him dead in the first place in fear that it would trigger his original memory, so she made up a reasonable story.
"That was because we thought you were dead. Nobody could feel a pulse, and since our friend the orcas were starving, we believed it was the best decision." she said, knowing that it sounded cruel to say to him that he was about to be treated like a piece of meat, but it was the best excuse she could come up with that sounded reasonable.

Ravage said ""I-is that wh-what you th-thought after wh-when the m-mon-ster crushed m-my h-head and r-ripped off my a-arm? y-you e-even I-int-errog-ated me."

Ravage looked at Rose and got sad. he said "I'm sorry I hurt you." remembering how he slashed her face.

Sybil was trying to analyze Ravages's mannerism.
"So... you remember hurting Rose. Do you remember... anything else?" she asked, starting to believe that his amnesia was fake and that he did remember his savage ways, and that he was only suppressing it to avoid anyone from trying to kill him again.

Ravage says "k-kind o-of. I-it's hazy. I-I re-rem-ember some th-things b-but on-ly a-after h-hearing can-non fire."

"Don't worry-- we won't hold any grudges here. The important thing is that you're okay and that we're all okay.," Sayan then stepping forward hoping that his presence might help calm him.

AJ: After a little while, I leave my home and decide to go and find some of my friends/family. I hope that in time, I can get to Sholeh, get her to accept kindness and friends. She will find that friends are nice to have. I keep to the trees in case there are anymore dangers.

Syris, Saris's little brother, rests after being tended to, by Jack, one of the many family member that he needs to meet. He is far too injured to go out and meet the rest of the family. Hopefully they will come to him. He is so happy to be re-united with his big brother, Saris, once again.

Saris stays with his little brother happy to be with him once more.

Ravage smiles (if you can call it that) at Rose's remark and is happy to be with Sayan. in his mind Sayan was life, his protector. Ravage trembled less because of this.

Sybil remained neutral, still not certain on what to think. She was usually very willing to give chances and not be so extremely cautious, but ever since her experience with Shadow, she became much less trusting.
"Alright then, now that we finally understand each other, let's get to work. The more we are and the more work we do, the sooner we will be done before this drought get any worse." Sybil lectured, k owing that they had to be done with the planting and cleaning soon just in case the drought get worse. The more energy they spent, the more food they will all need, something they couldn't afford.

Fortunately, with the warblers and keas's help, much of the restoration was being a fast success, and if they continued today's rate, they will be done in less than a week, and the next days, it would be all a matter of time.

OOC: Alright, but there will still be a bit of the drought left.

Like Sybil had predicted, the restoration took less than a week. It was all a matter of time before the plants could start to grow, with the keas watering the terrain from time to time with water from the wetland's lake, which was also starting to dry out. Sybil had to order Rose to be tied up again just in case, and she continued visiting Crocux, trusting Guardian that he could control his hunger. She also tried to better her relationship with Ravage, but still to no avail.

About three months had passed since the restoration was done, and finally, after going through intense hunger and heat, the leaves in the dry trees were finally starting to grow, the planted seeds were finally germinating, and even the water was returning along with the fish, but it was still too early to lower the guard. In this lovely afternoon, after trying to get some lunch, Sybil, who was very skinny, decided to visit Crocux after several days of not seeing him.
"Hey there Crocux. How's it going?" she asked with some lack of enthusiasm since she was feeling weak.

Peepers was nearby trying to control a riot that almost formed when many warblers wanted to pick seeds before they could grow appropriately. The drought was ending, but it was too soon to assume that everybody could resume their normal lives. It took him a while, but with the help of Lumos and others, the riot could be stopped before it could start. Wanting to distract himself, he visited Rose and Sayan.
"Hey miss Rose. How are you doing?" he said kindly, though at a considerable distance. Everybody was very skinny due to having to ration their diet too much, and she was no exception.

"I understand. It has been painful months, but we have all endured. Just wait a little while more miss Rose. The drought is succumbing." Peepers said, trying to use his most encouraging voice.

At Hunted island, things weren't as well. Even though the drought was ending, the cockatoos were struggling hard. There would have been fatalities if they didn't to through that before. That was a worse drought than the last time, but Barloc was proud that they were all so strong and that they all survived that infernal ordeal. What was better news, the seals were returning to the shore, meaning that the ocean fish were returning, and thus the abundance that characterized both islands was making a comeback at last.

Crocux smiles weakly and says "I've been better. but I've also been far worse so I can't complain." Crocux has been able to control himself over the time. sadly during the few months when Sybil woke up one morning Guardian had died in his sleep, with a smile on his face. the word spread quickly and his family took it pretty hard. but Terrence didn't seem to be affected by it really. speaking of Terrence the egg hatched and he named the little chick Angel. he knew he couldn't take care of the baby alone and sought help and he got Ruby's help surprisingly enough. speaking of birds Shi has been visiting Crocux less often due to lack of energy and was trying to figure something out. Ravage has been helping but no matter how much James tried Ravage kept his distance from Crocux and Sybil.

OOC: Well point one for you. That was unexpected
And another point with the egg. I was about to remind you of that

"Well, at least good came of this drought. You wanted to lose weight, and you succeeded." Sybil said, trying to lighten the mood. She was hiding it very well, but she was still mourning about Guardian, and she was going to make sure to treat Crocux the same way he did.

AJ: I manage with the food that I have been storing constantly for myself and Sholeh. Gathering some, I go to visit Crocux, bringing enough food for him and any others that are there. I also have some coconuts with fresh water.
"Hi, guys. I have some food and fresh water. Come have your fill."

Syris is doing well after his big brother, but due to the circumstances, has not been able to meet any others of the family, except Guardian, whose funeral he went to. Afterwards though he withdrew with his big brother to their home, staying with him, until this drought is over. He is just glad to be with Saris, after being apart for so long.

Sybil accepted the coconut, though she left some for Crocux just in case. She was doubtful he would accept though, since his species was an exclusive carnivore.

Sholeh has gone through the drought very well, since she would always sweet talk AJ into bringing her food, and even make him believe she was changing for the best. She was doing the same to Terrence until she found out about the egg, and was furious with him for deciding to take care of it instead of bringing it to her. They hadn't talk in a long while for that.

Meanwhile, a messenger seagull was arriving at the Haven. He made a quick stop at Hunted island and was very happy to see the seals returning. And once he arrived at the Haven, he could see that the leaves were growing back. It will still take a while for the island to return to it's former glory though, but he believed that with the seals returning, the orcas could finally come back to their home.

OOC: Well, uh... I've been keeping up this whole time, hehheh. But I've never posted for some reason. Sorry, ehh


Within the past few months, Voracivenom's group had not been seen in the forests at all. They had withdrawn even further into the mountainous cliff-side that marked the boundary between Haven and the Outback. Wanting a safe, heated environment for their young to stay, but not too much so for the sake of their velvet worm companion, they had remained there for quite some time. The eggs had long ago hatched, their occupants now growing up to be young juveniles. A snake, letting alone a couple of them, raising their young was almost unheard of. But they managed to pull it off. Baby snakes are independent and self-reliant as soon as they hatch, but the three older creatures took it upon themselves to make sure they were safe, and taught them about the world and the Haven they lived in. Now that the drought was beginning to subside, the family unit felt that it was time to finally return.

OOC: Don't tell me you haven't know what to post

The young seagull that was there inspected the Haven from above, but since he wasn't too acquainted with it's residents, not even Sybil herself, he decided not to visit anyone and simply give a report. He was sure that Cairo and the others were going to be so happy about the news. Even though the orcas had a much better time than the Haven residents in their temporary home, many of them were terribly homesick, not to mention fat due to the lack of the game and higher calories of their new preys.

Crocux was hit hard by Guardian's death but tried not to show it which he was good at. he accepted the coconuts and thanks AJ. Terrence knew that even if he gave the egg to Sholeh it wouldn't have mattered. he knew the egg was to developed even when he found it so all Sholeh would've gotten was a bad egg. he even argued that but it didn't matter. Shi was probably hit the hardest by his passing. Saris stayed with his little brother waiting for the drought to end.

ooc: well Guardian was going to die sooner or later. the internal damage garneted that he wouldn't survive the drought. that said it shouldn't be to surpising.

OOC: Perhaps. I just thought you were going to delay it a bit more. No matter. It's is a great twist.

"So... Crocux. The drought is almost over. I just inspected the tree branches, and they are growing very green. I still have to find Brody and ask him where his friend found that yellow tail though, so that you can feast to your heart's content." she said, looking forward to his smile and a full belly.

Crocux smiled his mouth already watering at the very thought of the buffet.

Sybil noticed, and realized she could have made a mistake.
"Oh! I'm so sorry Crocux. I shouldn't have mentioned it knowing how hungry you must be." she apologized, slapping her mouth. She had forgotten how dangerous and even cruel it was to mention that fish to him.

Crocux says "oh no, no it's quite alright. in fact I'm looking forward to it." his bandages have been off for quite some time and has been busy helping and leading after his dad died. since Sybil and Guardian had agreed that Crocux would make the best candidet to replace Guardian.

Sybil was glad that Crocux has gone a long way in terms of personality and coping, but she was still feeling guilty for messing up so bad when she should know already never to mention the fish's name.
"Well, you deserve it and more. In fact, I'm going to search for Brody tonight and ask for the fish's location. Now that the drought is almost over, there are bound to be many of them." she said, wanting Crocux to be happy again.
"And if I don't return tomorrow with the feast, then you can eat me instead and take care of the Haven." she then said, wanting to be determined in fulfilling her promise.

Crocux felt slightly offended but didn't show it "please Sybil, you know I would rather starve to death then eat you." he smiled "besides if you can't find them I will."

Sybil chuckled, holding the need to cackle.
"Oh silly. I was only kidding. I know you would never hurt me on purpose. I was just looking for some pretended self motivation." Sybil assured, not having expected Crocux to take that seriously.
"Anyway, I do mean the promise. I will search for Brody and I will let you know the fish's location." she then said, kinda glad that Crocux made her smile with his naivety.

Crocux just continued to give her his signature good natured smile that you rarely ever see his without. "and I'll be waiting. say have you seen Shi? she hasn't been around in awhile and I'm starting to worry."

"Alright. I'll tell her when she's around. Or I will tell Sozen if I see him. It's exhausting to climb the mountain." she replied, leaving Crocux by himself. If only she could have left sooner, she would have seen the young seagull flying by. The orcas returning would have been some very welcoming news.

It was late afternoon when Sybil returned home, and she didn't saw Shi on her way back. She would have visited Rose, but she didn't want to risk her instincts just yet. As she walked, she told all the warblers that she saw that if they saw either Brody or Shi, they should tell them to meet her. After she arrived home, she took one look at her little creek. It was hard to notice, but it had more water than before. She then looked at her reflection, and how skinny she was.
"Just a little more Sybil. Just a little bit. The drought will pass soon, and this sanctuary will return to it's former glory. And what it's better, Shadow can't hurt anyone anymore." she said to her reflection, needing some urgent self motivation. She firmly believed that after the Komodo dragon, no danger was ever going to befall the Haven, and never considered that she could be wrong.

Sybil returned to her tree after many nights of sleeping outside on a branch due to the painful memories of Guardian always being there too to sleep. It was quite a messed up place, so she started to spruce it up as if trying to respect his memory. What really hurt her the most was that she believed all that time that he was out of danger, and his wounds attacked when nobody expected it. She believed he would still be alived if only Whirlpool could have continued treating him. She remembered that it was Ravage who did that to him in the first place, so bearing a heavy grudge, she had given up on the wolverines's acceptance.

Olaf got up from the beach and looked around for a new place to call home. He searched around the Haven until finally he found an abandoned den. The only problem was that it was only a little big bigger then him, so he would have to dig some of it out.

It was still a couple of hours before dark. And on their way to the Haven, were the cockatoo cousins Angus and Nia. After month of not visiting their Haven friends due to the drought, they finally were given permission to visit them, and were rather surprised to see a new addition at the beach.
"Hey. I haven't seen that guy before. I thought the islands were still quarantined." Nia commented, with Angus agreeing.

They landed near Olaf to see who he was... and what he was.
"Hey mister. We haven't seen you before. Are you a new member?" Nia asked, always going ahead of her cousin. She was liking his appearance, and loved his dark crimson fur.

"Uh, yea, I guess." Olaf said. "Who are you guys?"

"I'm Nia. This is Angus. We're cockatoos. We live on that big island over there." Nia replied, pointing to the dot that was Hunted island on the horizon.

"Oh, that's cool, I guess." Olaf said, trying to expand the tiny den he had found.
