Mr. Silverdash sighed. Mrs. Airazor didn't hear him at all. She was too far away, and too focused on her students. Then he thought he heard something at the door. Being curious, he went over to the door.
"Hello? Is someone there?" He asked as he opened it. Then he saw Infinity sitting there. He noticed he was upset. "Hmm? Well, hello there, young dragon. Whatever is the matter?" He asked with a concerned tone of voice.

"What is weird about the material? I mean, I know we are studying evil dragons more intensely than before, but I imagine that the textbooks include their demise, just like before. We have always studied the heroes prevailing against evil, but we never really went in depth with the evil dragons themselves. Maybe I should just see for myself." Mr. Leafstorm said. Then he opened his teacher's guide and started looking through the pages. His eyes widened. The book almost seemed to glorify evil dragons. This didn't seem right. They were supposed to show the truth, state facts, and include victories for the heroes. They have always studied the success of good dragons, not evil ones. "Oh my....." He muttered to himself.

Infinity then looked up at Mr. Silverdash. "Its just... I don't know my way around the school. I'm a new student and I'm EXTREMELY late for my first class!" He complained.

OOC: Eevee, please stop quoting things.

Felakkan flipped through his textbook, he enjoyed this new material.

Nero smiled and nodded. He took out a book and began to read. "Maybe there's hope." He thought. "I just need to stay positive."

Lily listened to Mr. Nightdoom's answer to the question which had been asked and decided she'd read her textbook and do the same as him in trying to figure out what this new curriculum was. She opened her textbook and began to read the table of contents.

Rodu was bored. He was still considering playing a prank on the red dragon. For one thing, it would be totally worth it! For another, he really did want to get to know this new principal. Still, going to the principal's office on the first day wasn't the best way to start, and if his father found out, he'd be furious. He had to play his cards right with this whole bullying thing, just as he always did. If he ever got in trouble, it had to be in a way that could easily be blamed on someone else, or that wasn't too severe. His father wasn't against his bullying. In fact, he'd been the one to encourage him in. But he still wanted him to look good, and getting in trouble constantly wasn't going to help with that image. Not to mention, he could be kicked off his sports team, and that was the last thing he wanted. Besides magic, it was the only other thing he really liked at this school. And it certainly made him look good! So he decided to let it go. He'd get that red dragon sometime later, when no one else was watching. He sat at his desk, remaining bored.

"the name's Heiwa by the way," she said, holding out a claw. She already began to show her more adventurous colors to theo.

"Nice to meet you." Theo said. "I'm Theo."

"It's okay, young dragon. No one is expected to know everything on their first day. You'll get the hang of things around here. As the days go by, you may get to know this school like the back of your own paw. Until then, I would be happy to help. Now what is your first class?" Mr. Silverdash asked him.

"Since it is only the first day, and we're supposed to be getting new textbooks, let us spend this time getting to know each other." Said Mrs. Ivy Dewdrop. "I would take a look at the books myself and prepare a lesson or something for you, but Mr. Silverdash hasn't dropped them off yet. So--" She was then interrupted as the door opened. In walked the counselor, Mrs. Isis Snowflake. She was pulling a cart behind her full of books. "Oh, well, nevermind."
"Mr. Silverdash asked me to assist him in passing out the new textbooks. So here are the new books for biology class."
"Well, thank you, Mrs. Snowflake." Ivy smiled. Isis nodded slightly and then quietly left. Mrs. Dewdrop then picked up on of the textbooks and read the title. "Dragon Anatomy." She read aloud. "Well, it appears we'll be focusing solely on dragon anatomy this year, rather than plants and animals." She said. Mrs. Dewdrop then proceeded to pass out the books.

The new biology books showed various types of pictures of the anatomy of a dragon, even various kinds of dragons. It showed their bone structures, muscles, organs, other features that different dragons had, etc. It also showed major arteries, pressure points, weaknesses of the body, and how to kill a dragon in one simple attack. It even showed how to execute the different attacks, and how to dispose of the body afterwards, as well as how to hide evidence of the death.

Theo looked at Mrs. Dewdrop and asked, "Are those the new books that we'll be using?" He was interested in how the dragon body worked, of course, but he figured they would have learned about useful plants or deadly animals first.

"Ugh!" Rodu sighed when he heard the teacher tell them to get to know each other. It was the exact opposite of what he wanted to do. Then the books came. It still wasn't something he wanted to do, but it was better then talking to the others. He slowly leafed through the book, not caring. Then he saw the section that showed the weaknesses of the body and everything that went with it. Sudden excitement coursed through his body. How to dispose of a body and hide evidence of the death... Wow! I may not need to do that, but it could probably come in pretty handy with a prank, too. He grinned. This year was starting to look a bit more exciting. He read this section of the book eagerly, soaking in every word. It was the most he'd ever read in school.

Nero looked through his book, not really paying much attention. He figured that they would've been reading adventure novels and stories about dragon legends. Something was up, he could tell. School was supposed to be a place you could learn, and while he was, in fact, doing so, it didn't seem like the thing a principal would assign, not on the first day, at least.

"Well, yes, in fact," Mrs. Dewdrop said as she finished handing out all the books. "Normally, we study all forms of life, like plants and animals. It appears we're focusing on dragons this year, though. I've yet to look through my teacher's guide, so I'll have to create a lesson plan before I can do my job. This has sort of been a last minute curriculum change. We should have gotten these textbooks much sooner. Then again, we didn't have a new principal until recently. I just wonder what her plan for the school is with all these changes."

Heiwa smiled, and the smile grew wider as the text book has been passed around. this. Is. Great! Heiwa thought, leafing through the pages of the new text book. she always searched for books like these, but never seemed to find any of the sort. The only strange thing she thought was that these were new books, in the last minute too. Why, and how?

Mrs. Skye Airazor turned her attention to Starz, noticing that one of her students had slowed down. She sort of gave a smile of understanding, as well as a slight nod. Skye knew that her students had different levels of skill with flying, and that not everyone would be able to keep up on the first day. That's why she held a race like this one on the first day every year, to test her students. That gave her a better idea at their level of skill, and how to help them improve. No one was expected to fly at an expert level on their first day.

Aretis's heart jumped a little bit at the end dragon and the picture of her. All the other pictures he really winced at some and turned away at others. Yet there was one.... He sighed then went back to around the middle. A depiction of a dark green dragon with black horns and a mouth full of scarlet blood. His build was quite bulky and muscular, as if he could snap a dragon in half with his bare hands. He stared at that one for a bit longer than the others too. After that he closed the book, feeling quite sick to his stomach now. He shuddered slightly and closed his eyes. Horrific visions of blood and gore flashed through his mind. Namely that of a dragon that looked a lot like himself. His body trampled upon, and then his head ripped off for good measure....by that very same green hulking figure. Aretis shivered a bit, his face looking more pale than usual. He leaned over to Firefly. "I....feel a little sick....." He managed to speak out.

When Red saw that Mr. Leafstorm was not pleased he started to smile again " Well the weird part in this new material is that those so called heroes which we have read about like always, are performing in this book only without their head, and i am pretty sure that you have noticed it too. Well i do not care anyway" Red said and yawned

"Oh, dear. Uh, do you need to go to the nurse? 'Cause I could take you there." She replied quietly.

Mr. Leafstorm opened his mouth to respond to Red, and then noticed Firefly and Aretis.
"Is everything okay?" He asked them.

Mrs. Skye Airazor watched Starz for another moment, and then turned her attention back to her other students, watching them race.

Red turned his head so that he could see what was happening " Yea you do not look too healthy at the moment" Red said to Aretis.

Ru continued gaining speed until he passed the blue dragon.

The blue dragon growled and sped after Ru. He reached out his claws, trying to grab Ru by his tail to pull him back.

Mrs. Airazor narrowed her gaze on the blue dragon. She had been watching closely, and hadn't liked his behavior during the race.

Aretis nodded weakly. "Y-Yeah....." His tail twitched sporadically and he suppressed his gag reflex the best he could. Aretis closed his eyes and concentrated. Concentrating on the gem hanging around his neck. Just look at this. Just look at this. You've been through this before.

Smoky continued to stare at the book. He decided he didn't like school any more. He'd need to learn. He, instead, closed the book and slammed it down on the desk. He stood up and ran from the class.

Ru fell as he was pulled down, but regained his balance in the air, but saw that he wasn't in first place anymore, but behind four other dragons.

Infinity looked at his schedule. "Biology uh... Sir." He said

"Do you need to go to the nurse, young dragon? If necessary, Firefly could escort you there." Mr. Leafstorm said to Aretis.

"Are you going to be okay?" Firefly whispered to him.

"Ah, biology. Then you have Mrs. Ivy Dewdrop. She's a very nice teacher, she'll understand if you're late. Come on, I can escort you to the right class. Don't worry, you're not in trouble." Mr. Silverdash said.

The blue dragon smirked as he glanced back at Ru, now being in the lead himself. He then faced forward and sped towards Mrs. Airazor. He was getting closer to her.

Infinity started following Silverdash

Ru was using the wind again to his advantage, trying not to tire himself out. Then he shot forward, trying to fly as fast as he could. He passed a few dragons.

Theo nodded and opened his new textbook.

Nero read quite a bit, but was still concerned. Why study a Great War when there were so many things that the young dragons needed to learn? It didn't make much sense.

OOC: recap please?

"I just need.....a little fresh air..." He barely whispered out, getting out from his seat and almost actually falling to the floor.

Red jumped up from his seat and took hold of Aretis making sure that he was not falling " Are you sure? This does look bit more serious then that." He then said to Aretis.

Smoky stood outside the school. He liked fresh air. Well, smoky air. He snorted with his nostrils, sending circles of haze out, so that he could breathe the smoky environment of his home.
"That's better." The brown dragon said.

Mr. Silverdash led Infinity to Mrs. Dewdrops' class.
"Here we are." He said as he stopped at the door. He then opened it, getting the class's attention. "Mrs. Dewdrop, I have one of your students here. It's his first day, and he got a tad bit lost, so please excuse his absence."
"Oh, that's quite alright. It's perfectly understandable." She replied. She looked at her student. "Hello there, I am Mrs. Dewdrop. Welcome to biology." She smiled.

The blue dragon glanced back, noticing that Ru was catching up again. He growled and flapped his wings harder, trying to fly faster. He was determined to stay in the lead.

Firefly hopped up out of her seat to support Aretis.
"Careful. I can help you, if you want." She said quietly.
"Young dragon, you should probably go to the nurse, just to be safe. Don't worry about returning to class. First period should be over fairly soon anyway." Mr. Leafstorm said.

Ru continued his stride for the lead, he was almost beside the other dragon again.


Felakkan closed his textbook. He felt a lot better about being in school now, he'll actually be learning something useful.

Rodu was pulled from his enjoyment of the book by the sound of the door opening. A new dragon was lead into the room by the vice-principal. He heard the vice-principal explain that the student was new and that he'd gotten lost. Another new student. Rodu sighed. Those were usually the easiest targets, but he knew he shouldn't do anything else in this class. Still, if these were the new text books the principal was handing out, maybe she'd put up with a few pranks. He really wanted to get to know her. He looked back to the book, thinking. He just needed someone else to blame...

Lily continued to read her book, frowning. She really didn't like this new material. She glanced around at the other dragons. Some seemed thrilled by what they were reading. Some seemed unsure. Others didn't seem to feel anything about it. And others were reading other books. She glanced to Mr. Nightdoom, trying to read his feelings on the new subject matter.

Aretis nodded then looked at Firefly and Red and then at Mr. Leafstorm. "T-Thank you." He said a little louder than his normal voice. He wobbly walked out of the door. Heart beating faster than normal. A drip of water descended from his eyes as he walked out. Then another. Another. Another. Another round of those visions plagued his mind and he wept bitterly. His necklace! He took out the pendant from the space between his scales where he could hide it from view. Aretis took it out and stared at it. Was this really worth your guys' lives? He thought bitterly, but didn't utter a sound. He silently cried, unable to be seen by the class, but just outside the door.

"Maybe we should go after him" Red said to Firefly, Then he turned to Mr. Leafstorm "If it is okey to you" Red said with serious voice which he probably had never used while talking to Mr. Leafstorm. Then he went to the door and turned back to Mr. Leafstorm again waiting for answer.

Ooc: I just started my school yesterday and I have been a bit busy from it.

Infinity then flew to an empty desk and opened his text book and skimmed through it. Looking at all the body structure of dragons as this was odd for a biology class to have.

The blue dragon growled and attempted to claw at Ru. He had about enough of this dragon. He refused to lose to him.

Mr. Nightdoom was looking over his teacher's guide. There were so many different ancient languages listed, all of them from cultures and species of evil beings. He was apparently supposed to teach them all, with examples and lessons that used phrases that often involved death or violence as the subject matter. Even the essay topics and such they were supposed to write about were to be written not only using these languages, but also with the subject matter of something utterly brutal. It would have required the young dragon to think of something downright nasty to be able to make a good grade on the work. His eyes widened with a look of horror. This was not the curriculum he had taught all these years. This was not the same school he had worked at. Things for changing, and he feared they were for the worst. Just what was this principal up to?

Mr. Leafstorm nodded to Red and Firefly.
"Yes. Both of you, go with him, please. Keep an eye on the lad." He said. Firefly nodded to him, then turned to Red.
"Come on, let's go help him." She said. Then she headed for the door.

"Mr. Nightdoom are you okay?" asked Maria

Red nodded back to Mr. Leafstorm then he turned to Firefly "Yea" Red said and started to follow her.

Firefly headed over to the door and opened it. Just as she stepped outside, she saw Aretis sitting there. She frowned, seeing that he was crying. She quietly gestured to Red to step outside the classroom, and closed the door behind them.

Mr. Nightdoom wasn't paying any attention. He was deep in thought as he looked through his teacher's guide.

Infinity then closed his book. He then blurted out "Excuse me, why are we studying something else than usual?" He asked the teacher.

Heiwa looked up from the text book to watch the late student come in and sit down. if he hadn't heard the anowncments then he really must have been late

Lily caught a hint of horror flash across Mr. Nightdoom's face. Just as she'd thought - he was as shocked and unnerved as she was about this new subject matter.

Nero finally shut the book, refusing to read any more of this madness. "This isn't right." He murmured. He got out a somewhat more cheerful book that he had brought from home.

Theo watched as the new student came in. She seemed friendly enough, but he said nothing and continued to look through his book.
